SimplyD: For those of you willing to pursue a masters programme in Germany, want to believe that you have made up your minds about the programme(s) you would want to apply to as the application process for most universities would soon commence.

As for the questions many of you are still seeking answers to, almost everything has been treated in earlier posts especially between February and October. All you need do is find time to go through the thread and be informed.

Furthermore you need to know that this is something you can do all by yourself, as it is a pretty straightforward stuff and you do not even need to pay anyone for anything

Just came across this

andyanders: You are very stu-pid saying what you just stated here. Have you lived abroad and know what it takes to survive? Were they caught stealing? No. They were caught working and does that make them doing the wrong thing others hasn't done as you stated here? What of many foreigners working in Nigeria that does not have single papers? If you are privileged to come from a background where you are lucky to be provided with everything, do not look others as nothing and nobody. How can you come here and open your dirty mouth to state Nigerians? Do you know you are insulting the entire Nigerian public by that statement. I still believe that you never went to school by making a general statement condemning your country Nigeria. I have when people make generalized statement condemning their fatherland.
z Nigeria a country?

Demaejy: From this thread i have read some comments that they got their visa late to the resumption date but that shouldn't stop you to resume to the school while you get your visa cos i knw the school would understand the situation then if that will be the problem, find another school with different rule.
What do you mean by different rule?

TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by surecan:
dahonestboss: I go encourage make you enter Finland. Getting visa to Canada na piece of cake here, no stress at all. and yes, the 300 euros includes rent, food and transport if you manage well. Infact, Cana, Australia and yankee na the final destination of most Naija guys here, na just to come here, get money, study and forward to a better place of your choice if you no wan settle for Europe.

According to the Finnish immigration website, 6000 euros is for the primary applicant per year (the student) while 7560 per year is needed for an adult beneficiary of the principal applicant. for minor, its 5400 per year. but you should check this link for more info

http://www.migri.fi/moving_to_finland_to_be_with_a_family_member/income_requirement

Like i said earlier, its possible to get a Job within six months of graduation, I am not talking of professional job ooo ? but at least a job that you can use to change status to get your residence. be it menial jobs or professional, the fact is that you are working and paying tax, so it suffice. (there is dignity in labour here, it doesn't matter if you work as a bank manager or a cleaner, everyone are treated equally without relegation)

and under the EU law, you can move to Germany if you want, after Naturalization in Finland.
wow, thank you so much, information is power, meaning that all will cost like 2.8million to be eligible to apply
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by surecan: 2:39pm On Oct 08, 2012
dahonestboss: Let me enlighten you a little bit

If you live in bigger cities, there is an assurance that you will get a job, Living in Finland generally is quite expensive, but since you don't have to worry about tuition fees, its still manageable. Judging from a single student point of view, if you manage well, 300 euros or lower might be sufficient per month, but as a married man, then calculate that by the number of family members you have.

If you get a part time job, you would live fine and also save up as a student too. but this are quite easy in the bigger cities like Tampere, Turku, helsinki, Espoo, etc where the probability of getting a job are probably higher than other small cities.

Concerning changing status after studies, its very possible in Finland. Finland has a relaxed Immigration policies to foreigners. After graduation, you would be given an additional six months permit to look for job and if you get one, you would be given a residence permit based on that, which would count towards naturalization if that is your long term plan.

You can come with your wife and kids, but you are going to show strong financial proof on how you will support yourself and your family throughout your stay in Finland as a student
Well my main intention is to send my sister there since i and my wife have intention to move to canada but since canada visa is becoming worrisome,so am considering another alternative country, initially i prefers Germany but it seems that the Language may be a problem at least finland speaks more english than Germany so i am seeing it better for me and my wife only. Now do you think that six months will be enough to search for work and change status after graduation, since the principal applicant suppose to have upto 6000 euro to show as living expenses, then how much do you think for a family of two only ie husband and wife, Is accommodation fee included in the 300 euro living expenses you mentioned,Thank you

I don't think you would be required to submit GRE or SAT, I might be wrong, but you can as well paste the link where you got that information from here. You can email each of the school specifically eplaining to them that you study in English all through and ask if you can apply with your transcript only, but as far as I have known, the basic requirement are your transcript and either IELTS or TOEFL, thats all

I know alot of undergraduate student that applied with their waec certificate only to some school, and they were accepted but these are exeption, but I will advice you to email each uni of interest specifically.

Femijck

your transcript and langauge proficiency exam should be enough. no need for any entrance exam.

Some of us might be discourage to take the exam, thinking its hard or something, but I can assure you that if you understand english and can speak it very well, you would pass it, I did mine once and it was fine without any preparation. it worth taking. But in anything you do, DO IT QUICK, calculate the time frame so that you can apply as soon as you get it in december.
Please is it easy to get job during your master programme and how is the cost of leaving, which area will be easier to get work, and after graduation is there any way to change status for residence and can a married student go with the wife or husband

@dahonestboss,I was just going through some universities and find out that it is necessary to take IELT exam before you can apply for admission and almost all the universities use university admission finland(UAF) and you will take some exams too like SAT,GRE,She had bsc in education economics and want to study master in Economics or business courses,GP of 3.1,please is there any University you know that can exempt all this requirements for her and consider transcript and degree certificate.Thank you

TravelRe: Family Reunion Visa by surecan: 2:24am On Sep 23, 2012
I will like you to exercise enough patience and stop calling them because there is nothing they can do about it.Your case is been handled in their home country and their embassy in Nigeria cannot influence the processing of your application. This is a special visa that required special authorization,so nothing is wrong on your application that is why they demanded for more document,as soon as the home office is through with their verification and approval they will forward it to the embassy and they will contact you immediately for your visa.

Joe980: Ordinary diploma is different from post graduate diploma. I think we could get ourselves cleared by checking on the schools website for each requirement. PGDiploma requirement will surely be a BSc. While Diploma is seen as our National Diploma here.. House could put more light.
