Joe980: ^^^Sure you can...it's the normal postage via post office. Getting it across to your street/house address depends on how fast the local/community postal agent around you is. When it gets to the central post office, they send to the closest postal agent in your area/local govt.
ok,thanks

justwise: Do you know any period of the year people don't get refused a visa? Do we assumed that from now on that nobody will be given a visa because the this year quota is full?
he only said that quota system exist,it does not mean that the they will not issue further visas.....CDHC knows how to handle it.

effizypo: I was refused for reason not a Bonafide student but had my proof of degree on my document so I don't think Thats the reason. I think not being a Bonafide student has something to do with academic/work relationship and continuity. E.g. If your first degree is Accounting then you should go for masters in that line or MBa not Diploma in hotel management. Just saying
it also depends on your job too,if you read like Education and working in the bank, the person can equally do pgd may be in marketing

monique2002: getting a job in germany depends on where u live, big city or small city, east germany or west germany and also ur ability to speak d language. in west germany, that is the south nd parts of d west, its easier bcuz they speak english more than in east germany. its called east nd west bcuz of the berlin wall dat separated the country. as 4 ur wife inviting u, i vent seen any1 who is a student aftr 6 months, inviting anoda family member, xcept u r also goin there 4 ur masters.
i knew that you are new in that country,i will be very grateful if you can assist me to enquire about it pls

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by surecan: 11:47pm On Nov 24, 2012
The quota system in Canada visa is real and does not work only in study visa but all Canadian Visas whether work permit,PR,etc.Earlier this year, the Canada high commissioner in Nigeria stated that they approved 50% of study visas allocated to west African countries to Nigeria in 2011. Denying those applicants visa does not mean that they have reached to the quota system for this year, but i do suspect that it is one of the cause,so there is no doubt quota system works

monique2002: yes, he shld chck again. cuz a course taught TOTALLY in english only needs ur transcript or certified bachelors certificate with a cover letter stating that the course was taught in english. d only way they would ask 4 german proficiency is if some parts if the course is taught in german, so he shld write to ask them properly
Welcome back Monique, hope is going well, remember you promised to feed me with info as you get to Germany so i will be happy that you do so.You people should be here always to help the prospective applicants just like USA and Canada nairaland forum.Thank you

tainzo: I did submit my marriage as well as birth certificate along side that of my wife. I also stated my wife is a nurse but was silent on where she resides at the moment. I however do not think it will be wise to state at this point that she's in the US except if you have a better reason why I should. Like I said earlier, she's currently in the process of changing her name and getting her US passport and as such may not be able to produce this document.

Upon examination of my application pack, we felt the visa officer might have missed the fixed deposit letters given their position ( Stapled underneth my sisters marriage cert)and the refusal statement (Inadequate fund). I still have the deposit running with more recent letters, do you think I should still liquidate the investments into my savings account or present the recent letters with a comprehensive write up stating how I intend to fund my stay with my bank statement and fixed deposit investment letters acting as proof?

Thanks for concern and suggestion, I really do appreciate every bit.
well,i am not a professional on this but to my little experience it will be better you liquidate your fixed deposit and transfer it to your savings account, and back it up with documents. Then make sure that you did not change any information that you submitted before.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by surecan: 8:27pm On Nov 22, 2012
tainzo: Aight bro, lets hear your opinion. I'm all ears especially on re applying next week. My wife is currently in the process of changing her name and getting her US passport in her new name. Felt it will complicate issues.

If canada no accept, I have the option of US green card next year.

So pleaae let all the advice pour in pleaaase!
from my experience here some one was denied for September entry and he quickly reapplied and he was granted. In your own case.you are financially ok,you case is more of financial,if you state that you are married, they will like to know especially how your wife is going to cope while you are in canada, then your fixed deposit,i suggest you close it and transfer to the savings account and make sure that you provide document on that,if you are legally married, marriage cert and birth cert is also important, even if your wife USA passport still bear her maiden name,i think marriage cert can solve that one,if she is currently working, her pay slip, utility bills and statement of account will also play an important role
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by surecan: 7:36pm On Nov 22, 2012
kayce43: Broda, ur package looks good, ur wife's documents should be an added advantage (dunno if am correct) but at least she's in USA legally, if u claim to b married I tink they wld require some document like ; ur marriage cert, her green card and others like utility bills, it shld help u, anyway u hav ur reasons y u dnt want to use her docs, I tink u shld go up to 6M if u can. Also ur friends case may b different frm urs if u review it carefully. And after refusal ur supposed to give a 3months gap, b4 re-applying, make proper research b4 re-apply to b on d safe side, u can ask dem at VAC or any reliable source u have. Also make sure u have documents showing concrete proof of ur source of funds #vryimportant to CDHC.
This is not true

newmusic: @ntom, your passport must have been issued at least 6 months earlier before you apply for visa.
Also must be valid at least 6 months after you apply for visa
. So you choose what is right for you. I will advise you go for renewal by December.
where did you get this information
TravelRe: Denmark Greencard. by surecan: 6:29pm On Nov 14, 2012
adonai36: Yes, you can have a friend/relative to fund your account, since what they require is a recent bank statement showing the amount, however the account has to be in your name, as you can't use a sponsors account. Once you print out the statement you can submit your application, and return back the money.

There is an application fee payable online, you don't enclose cash, but receipt of payment that you generate online. The fee is £670, which is about N135,000, and you pay an handling charge at the embassy, the amount I don't know, because it varies from embassy to embassy or country to country. If you are submitting in Nigeria, I am not sure if Denmark have an embassy in Nigeria, so you may have submit it through the Finland embassy in Nigeria.

£8,600 is about N2.2million.

Please note that the conversion I am using is pounds sterling and not danish krone, as danish krone is 10 to 1 pound sterling.

Yes, I have, but my first degree is from Nigeria, which I used for the application as well. It will interest you to know, several Nigerians are using Nigeria qualifications and work experience to apply.

Shalom
ok,thank you.those guys that applied from Nigeria,do you know how lomg it take for the residence permit to be approved
TravelRe: Denmark Greencard. by surecan: 1:20pm On Nov 13, 2012
adonai36: It takes betweeen one to three months before you can be issued your green card/permit resident card. And it also depends where you submitted it.

I have done the biometrics, and it takes about three months.
I submitted it to there embassy in London, and I paid online. Though there is an embassy handling charge of £155, apart from the processing fee.

Shaalom
Pls do you have european education or Nigeria, those in the middle east applicants is longer than yours.I will to see who have applied from Nigeria,if you have idea i will be happy that you share it as well.Goodluck brother
TravelRe: Denmark Greencard. by surecan: 9:47pm On Nov 12, 2012
adonai36: It is not visa lottery, but a greencard scheme, if you have additional qualification with the HND,or work experience (it is called positive list) you will be fine, as the Danes view Nigerian Polytechnic education as a professional degree. Virtually all courses/graduates are qualify to apply in respective of your field of study.
B.SC will give u 30 points
M.sc will give you 50 to 60 points.
Work experience also counts.

Am almost through with mine, and am getting it soon
Which stage are you now and how long does all the process take to be approved, where do you submit the application and how do you make the application payment?

Siga: ..If u dont mind me asking...this is sounding more like u are the applicant we dey talk about here...moving on....if his company is the co-sponsor...thats fine...the prog he is going for...is it related to wat he is doing now?
Yes the programme is related, and do you think he should submit the wife account too making it 3 sponsors or him and the company is ok,can you reply my mail sent to you since yesterday
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by surecan: 4:10pm On Nov 11, 2012
Siga: ... Yes...no prob at all... the tuition is around N1.8m....now, it will be nice if he can pay at least $7,000 ...that alone puts him in a better situation to present his case....now, advise that he puts his wife's job letter, bank acct ....this is to show that he has enough support besides wat he has personally....also, tell him to ask put in all his tax returns papers...and write a letter indicating his business will keep running while he is gone...that his wife will be in charge....that with his family sitting back creates a tie to Naija....how much cash flow monthly?
His salary after deductions shows about 250k but more than 350k on pay slip, and mainly is his company that want to sponsor him but he don't want issue with sponsor not credible so he intend to be the sponsor while the company will be the co sponsor, the wife work,i don't think she pays tax oo,and her statement of account may not be run properly but she have up to 500k in the account. He also have properties that wort about 4.5 million. He dont have a personal company. thanks
