Blogsphere: Atiku Vows To Resuscitate industries In South East to boost Nigeria’s economy.
The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has promised to ensure that the Onitsha Port becomes operational as well as resuscitate industries in the South East in order to boost the nation’s economy.
Atiku said this while addressing party supporters during his campaign rally in Awka, the Anambra State Capital, on Thursday.
He explained that these were part of requests made by the Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, when he met him hours before the commencement of the campaign.
Atiku said, “On our arrival today we visited their governor Prof. Soludo, and he said to me. I know you are going to work but make sure that all the federal roads that pass through Anambra State are reconstructed.
“And I promised him, I’m going to do that, he said ‘make sure that you control our erosion, because Anambra is the erosion headquarters of the world. Erosion is destroying our farmlands, is destroying our houses and everything have.’
“This is a very gigantic project. And I promised him am going to do that, and you know I have worked with Soludo before, he is a first class patriotic Nigerian. “You have an excellent governor. He also appealed to me that Onisha port this time around we are going to dredge River Niger and Onisha port will function. “We are also going to help Anambra indusrilise the state so that the state will create as many jobs as for our young men and women.
“And you know I promised to set aside $10 billion to promote small scale and medium enterprise for our young men and women so that they can be independent.
“I am going to be a stepping stone to an Igbo president in this country. I have shown it in my action because this is the third time I am running with an Igbo man, if you really want to produce a president then vote Atiku-Okowa ticket.
“ I want to thank you the people of Anambra state for this warm reception I never thought I will see such a crowd in Anambra state and believe me we are not going to forget you, we are going to reward you handsomely.“
Speaking in a similar vein, National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, recalled the role played by the late Alex Ekwueme, in the formation of the PDP. He said, “ Dr Alex Ekwueme who led 34 of us, including Atiku Abubakar here to form this party. Anambra is PDP and I am happy with what I have seen here, even APGA is the sun of the PDP, so we shall bring many APGA members back to their home in PDP.
“We want to assure you that the Igbos particularly Anambra people have a big stake in Nigeria, there is no village that you will go in Nigeria that you will not see an Igbo man who is a businessman.
“The Igbos in terms of business are the more National people in Nigeria, you need every part of this country and I like the indomitable spirit of the Igbo nation.” He appealed to the people to vote for the PDP because it has the blueprint of how to make Nigeria work again.
Also, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Ifeanyi Okowa, who spoke in the native Igbo language said, “Our party has brought out Atiku Abubakar as our Presidential candidate.
“We asking all of you to work hard in Anambra state because Atiku Abubakar is a good product. “Among all the aspirants, it is only Atiku Abubakar who has the requisite experience to recover the country from the hardship created by the APC government.
Atiku has pledges to empower women and youths including traders and startups with $10 billion. I plead with you to work wholeheartedly so that we can win the election in Anambra state. “For the past two weeks, we have toured round the country as a part and I am quite convinced that PDP will win the next Presidential election. “This is not the time for sentiment. Vote for the PDP so that Anambra will be you ted among the states win by the PDP.“
tollyboy5: I'm so much surprised that marriage has alot of s*xual affiliation. These things are getting me scared, I've heard and seen alot, Ive seen and read women cheat when husband can't satisfy them.
That alone has made me make sure I'm s*xually active . Normally I'm not s*x freak person. I thought marriage is more about companion then s*x just to spice everything up.
Recently when I come across some thread on nairaland, i see people making reference to giving their woman head like it's a normal thing!
Is it me or this new generation s*xual pleasure that is just crazy.
joshrooy23: Today I watched as a friend was killed in cold blood by blood thirsty policeman because he was resisting them from checking his phone, It has become a usual routine for policeman in this umuagwo ohaji Egbema road in imo state to always come out during the December period looking for youths to blackmail to get money, when has searching of cellphone become a duty of the police, is cybercrime a death sentence, if it is what court of law has given them permission to take the life of this young man who is trying very hard to survive the hardship which is as a result of the buhari led administration
If we continue choosing bad leaders, we are going to continue losing our youths, loved ones, friends, and family, now our youth who are meant to be the bedrock of development are leaving the country in Mass to countries with good leaders and laws
In my own opinion, A law should be made for jail terms to police officers who kill innocent citizens who are unarmed.....
OddsDoc: Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and his predecessor, Adegboyega Oyetola, have resumed hostility over the state’s debt profile, with Oyetola stating that he left N14 billion in the state coffers.
The former governor also said that his successor does not understand governance, so is making embarrassing statements in public.
Meanwhile, Adeleke, while addressing council of traditional rulers at their monthly meeting at Ministry of Finance Building, said the state is indebted to the tune of N407.32 billion apart from debt owed local contractors.
Governor Adeleke added that Oyetola should explain how he spent the N18.04 billion he accessed after he lost the July 16 governorship election.
However, Oyetola in a statement by his spokesperson, Ismail Omipidan, insisted that he did not borrow a dime during his four years tenure in office.
He added that Adeleke needs experts to tutor him on workings of government in order to stop embarrassing himself in public.
I inherited 8 outstanding loan facilities — Adeleke
Adeleke said his administration inherited eight outstanding loan facilities, apart from salaries and pension debts, from Oyetola’s administration with repayment period for the loan facilities ranging from 16 months to about 28 years.
He said: “My good people of Osun state, the total loan stock as of today is N331.32 billion.
“If the N76 billion debt on salaries and pension are added, the state is indebted to the tune of N407.32 billion. The amount owed contractors is yet to be determined.
“The only fund in government coffers, as of Monday 29th November, was for November 2022 salary.
“Otherwise, the state treasury was empty. As your governor, I will ask questions on your behalf. And will demand answers.
“Governor Oyetola must explain how the N331 billion borrowed in the name of Osun State was expended, with no obvious infrastructure development to justify this huge debt.
“Governor Oyetola must explain how the N18 billion Bridge Loan taken after he lost the election on July 16 was expended.
“Governor Oyetola must also explain why Osun state is owing salaries and pension to the tune of N76 billion after collecting a N50 billion Salary Bail Out loan from the Federal Government
I left N14bn in state coffers, never borrow a dime — Oyetola
Former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola disclosed that he did not borrow a dime during his four years tenure, saying the claim by Adeleke that he borrowed N18.04 billion only exposed his lack of understanding of governance.
Oyetola in a statement by his spokesperson, Ismail Omipidan, insisted that he left in the state coffersN14billion while leaving office.
His words: “I insist for the umpteenth time that my principal never took any loan facility for the four years he used in office.
“The claim by the new governor shows clearly that he lacks understanding of how government is run.
“If you go to my principal’s welfare address, he stated it clearly, that like every other state, we benefitted N3 billion on monthly basis for six months from the Federal Government as budget support.
“This money was given to all the 36 states of the country without requesting. You cannot categorise that as loan.
“So the new governor does not understand the working of government and he should have allowed those that understand the rudiment to explain it to him. So that he won’t be coming to the public to embarrass himself the way he did.
“We also left N14 billion behind. They should tell the people how much they met in the state coffers.”
Disembark: FIRST CLASS IN LAW, RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY
There are several ways to tell this story. But first and foremost, my immense gratitude to God Almighty for this feat which would be a tale even to my children.
Upon gaining admission to study law in 2016, I remembered how I had almost failed in ss2 due to my fear for Mathematics if not for the support and guidance i received from my Uncle Daniel Brown . So i resolved to Graduate with a First Class.
But the journey, as Mr Ala Gabriel-whyte would say, is not smooth, but will be victorious! The most interesting part of this journey was in my 4th year. The financial crisis hit so bad and was becoming unbearable. I sought for opportunities online but none of them availed . I remember entering an Entrepreneur contest organised by Infinix Mobile and lost. I cried so hard in my room till my roommate feared i had lost a loved one.
I knew i couldn't just sit down and cry . So i took up my camera and gained employment to work as a Night club photographer at Wildheat_phc & Ballerz Lounge. At the time, i was flying on a 4.80 CGPA. And it was a huge risk to put such delicate CGPA on the line. But i took the risk and was only focused on surviving .
In the second semester of the 4th year, I worked on Wednesdays, Fridays till Sunday nights. Anyone who works in a club would relate with how energy-draining it was.
I remember staggering to my hostel by 12am, waiting for everyone to leave the club before i sleep around 3/4am. Most nights, i get to my room exhausted, crying and depressed because the stress was beyond overwhelming This experience cost me to miss lectures throughout that semester, because i would have to work at the club, and edit over 100-200 pictures on my mobile phone. It was a very miserable experience and i never told my parents i was working in a club because i feared they would freak out. But then, there was practically no other way to survive.
I still had to make out time for mentees who needed academic guidance and still held tutorials as a way of giving back to humanity. It turned out, i had the worst result in that semester (3Bs, 2Cs) compared to the Sprint A's i used to have. My CGPA dropped to 4.66 and i couldn't believe it My dream of graduating as the Best Graduating Student of my department/ faculty was cut short.
I quit my job and then opened up to my parents why i had that result . My father was greatly dismayed but understood It was inevitable for me take such risk without burning out so badly. I reassured him that if he managed to fend for my finals, i would perform better and ultimately bring the First Class home.
As it now, that little boy who Dr Jerry Amadi would always pray for and always worries about his academic performance, is a First Class Graduate of law (4.69/5.00)
I would not have made it without the support of my entire family, Abam T. J. Smith Uncle Emma Bamson, my brother Amos Isajini who always stood by me through thick and thin.
The list would be endless if i was to mention but i sincerely appreciate every demonstration of love by any and everyone throughout this journey.
This degree is specially dedicated to my mother, for out of a woman who didn't have formal education, a First Class product & Creative Professional Photographer emerged ❤️ I'm Young, Gifted & Black! GLORY BE TO GOD!
Congratulation
Wanting something and getting the exact something does not come easy, a warm hug from me to you

Bonavi: Tinubu as me and you know it doesn't even know what he is going to Aso rock to do. For him since he has helped someone into the presidency he should also be allowed there because it is his turn. If the entire country is drowning does not concern him after all he can resettle himself and the entire family in any country of his choice. The people that will bear the brunt and concequences are me and you. As an Igbo man I respect Ojukwu and whatever his personality and reasons were but then the millions that lost their lives were never consulted about the war but regardless they paid with their lives and Ojukwu survived. We really need to be wise in this country because lots have happened and continue to but its majorly the common masses that pay the prize.

ikeno: So I was at my usual bar and lodge today relaxing with my bottle and smoke when an elderly man walked in with a bible in his hand and some leaflets.my first impression was that he came to preach the gospel or give out the leaflets.
He sat on one of the chairs and was reading some verse from the bible then 10mins later a girl not more than 15years walked in and I said within me probably his daughter that came to also preach the gospel to us that were sitting in the bar.
Lo and behold, the man got up and held the girl's hand and both of them went into one of the shortlet rooms in the bar. This is the reason why I always stay in my house and pray even on Sundays because some of these preacher's sin are worse than the devil

Niorte: A marriage is about to collapse because of political consideration.
A man, 37, in Eti-Osa LGA of Lagos seized the PVC of his wife, 33, who plans to vote for Peter Obi.
The man who is a diehard supporter of Asiwaju Tinubu insisted that he is the head of the family and that his wife ought to follow his lead. If she is not supporting my candidate, then she should not vote.
The wife on the other hand, maintained that she has a right to vote for whomever she prefers.
A marriage of 5 years is being shaken because of political matters.
Does the husband have a right to seize his wife's PVC?

I am Ojiofor 1 of Igboland.
Zeal0000007: Pals wonders shall never end, my woman stays distance off me, but I visit often same with her, infact she prefers me coming over, as we are preparing to settle down together.
One of those days in my apartment during our little gossips, my gal told me about this her neighbour that is into sexing a particular "aboki" guy those ones that patch and sew torn cloths on the streets, I was very shock . she told me she has witness it twice she couldn't believe her eyes.
Infact that she has lost respect and love she had for the gal, how can she stoop so low in having relationship with an aboki, people that barely bath, most of the them are very dirty and smelling, what could have pushed her into that.
Me from where i was, was speechless as well cos I know the gal, this gal in question fine die, fair , very fresh like today bread lol thick with elevated backside, she's indeed my kind of woman, infact the gal too fine and she happened to be Igbo by tribe and she should be 21 to 24yrs still young. I use to see her as someone that is classic because of her dressing whenever I visit my gal, she appears elegant always, no way she couldn't have had better taste for guys, yet I didn't still believe my gal.
on a particular fateful day I went to my gal's place to check on her since her phone was switched off, I didn't see her I decided to wait a little outside. Behold my doubt was cleared while waiting, I saw the So called aboki with his sewing machine coming to the gal's house and no one was around cos it was in the morning but the gal was inside. The gal coming outside sighted me I did as if nothing concern me , I was sighting the gal. After greeting each other she brought some cloths and gave to him, aboki while sewing was entering the room and coming out, to and fro.
I was like make I see the end of this, behold after sewing aboki went inside finally for like 30mins, another neighbour of her's came back saw the sewing machine outside and the owner was no way to be found, the guy just nodded his head and smile in disappointment and looked at me and I smiled back.
After the fun time aboki came out sweating and looking tired, he must have had alot of fun, the charges for the job on the cloths wasn't paid instead the aboki guy with his dirty body had to gift her some money, what I'm I saying ? Of course they're boyfriend and gal friend, I heard he the aboki visits like 2 to 3 times a week.
If someone ever told me someone like that gal ever friended aboki I will doubt, but what's my concern the guy is having fun of his life , with fresh kpekus as u guys call it, what many guys cannot do aboki is doing it lol.
But take home question for me was that , 1. why stoop that low, despite her beauty , she would have gotten a guy with a flashy car and beautiful things of life, like the way other gals could think. 2.Could it be that this guy is there just to solve her sexual urge problems and available whenever she needs him since he's always on the street ? 3. Could it be that she has a serious boyfriend outside who is not aware of this extra relationship, and providing he daily needs while this one is seriously servicing her ?
4. Could it be that she's trying to solve her fantasy, I learnt that core Muslims like that aboki are uncircumcised perhaps she wanted to have a fair share with experience and then keep one to herself by having uncircumcised dick digging her. 5. Could it be a syndrome problem that she needs to fight against. 6. Could it be that her friends are into it. ? 7. Lastly could it be that she has suffer heartbreak from so-called more responsible and civilized guys so she had to settle for aboki.
Note: pls this post is not to depict or drag any religion or tribe, be civilized in your comments while you share your thoughts and experiences.
There is always a reason for everything
To me and for me, i feel and think the answer should be amongst your list
North4Obi23: The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, was on Wednesday allegedly rushed off the stage at the party’s presidential rally in Minna due to poor health.
It was gathered that Tinubu could not arrive in the Niger State capital in the morning for the rally as he had to attend to his health with specialist doctors rushed to attend to him on Tuesday, soon after he had made an appearance at the North West zone rally held at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
He was advised to rest that Tuesday evening after the rally, thus delaying his arrival in Minna until Wednesday. He arrived at the venue of the rally, which was well underway in the afternoon in Minna.
A source who revealed the development from Minna via telephone call further said that Tinubu was advised to avoid the Minna rally to take “a deserved rest” but his team insisted he must put up an appearance in order to cover up the development.
However, when he was ushered to the stage to speak in a live telecast monitored by our correspondent, the former Lagos State Governor could only shout the party’s name several times in a slow and incoherent manner.
“APC, APC, Niger! Nigeria, Nigeria! Sai Bago, Sai Bago, APC, APC!” Tinubu said on stage.
“Sai Lolo, Sai lolo,” he continued, after which he busted into laughter.
He kept shouting, “Sai Bago, sai jagaban”, a nickname he is known for as his voice kept diminishing.
He however continued shouting, “God bless you, God bless Niger State, may God bless you,” and was led away from the podium without presenting his manifesto and what he will do if he wins the 2023 presidential election.
The rally was thereafter cut short in a live beam monitored by this paper on the candidate’s television Station, TVC.
Tinubu is believed to be having a running battle with some undisclosed illnesses.
There have been several reports of the APC candidate being afflicted with Parkinson’s disease but he has kept mum on the development.
He has also spent months overseas for treatments of undisclosed illnesses amid calls from his critics and opponents for full disclosure of his health status.
In February in Osogbo, Osun State, Tinubu had defended such calls saying, “I am not applying for the job of bricklaying or grave digging.”
That fuel concerns that he may indeed have issues with his health and admitting it inadvertently since the constitution does not mandate any candidate to disclose his health status.
“I went to school to study accountancy and management. I am applying for a thinking job and I will do it right. The job I want to do is for Nigeria to be greater and to be proud of itself,” he had added.
Also, in October 2021, Tinubu spent months in the UK, in what his camp reported to be a knee surgery.
Upon his return to Nigeria, he went philosophical stating that, “And He (God) says, if I grant you power and the privilege in this life; I am the only one who can take it from you if you don’t use it in the way and manner that promotes humanity. God can give power to any one he wills.
“It is the same God that has spared us till today and has given us the privilege. I give glory to God, because I’m standing before you hale, hearty and well,” he had said at an event hosted by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos governor.
Several calls and messages to one of his campaign spokesmen, Festus Keyamo, who also doubles as Minister of State for Labour and Employment, rang out with no reply to the messages.
While another spokesman of the Tinubu campaign council, Bayo Onanuga, paused the call, his counterpart, Dele Alake denied the incident in an abusive language sent to our Correspondent via a text message.
“Go see the video clip,” he tasked our Correspondent, adding, “I was right behind him on the stage. The Campaign started a little behind schedule and there were other activities marked for today like his commissioning of the APC Minna secretariat, visit to the emir etc vis a vis the time.
“So, he was advised to just give a brief greeting and acknowledgement to the teeming crowd and he danced to the crowd enthusiastically before moving on to the commissioning venue and on to other activities.
“The man is as fit as a fiddle and the success of the Minna rally is top class.
“Again, Asiwaju will continue to confound his enemies as he coasts home to victory in the coming elections. All the evil wished him will continue to befall his traducers!” Aleke said.
