reportquarters: Speaking to newsmen, Tinubu said: "Senator Kasim Shettima's career in politics and beyond shows that he is eminently qualified not only to deliver that all important electoral victory, but, also, step into the shoes of the Vice President. As a man with the talent, maturity, strength of character, and patriotism he has my implicit confidence and faith."
On why he picked a Muslim, Tinubu said: "I am aware that many will continue focus on a particular detail, the question of his faith. However, if we truly understand the challenges upon us a nation, then we must also see the imperative of placing competence in governance above religious sentiment.
sanusideunifier: It's a big shock. Tinubu can't imagine how Obi who left a party few months ago built a formidable force that outshines him and makes him irrelevant. Imagine a candidate of the ruling party running away from social media and TV interviews because of Obidients. Being deceived by the handful of idiots that surround him, Tinubu believes Nigerians are fools who don't know what is good for them. What worries him now is that he may lose his Southwest to Obi. Nigerians mock and laugh him every day. He has become an entertainer. "I regret picking APC ticket. See that mumu Buhari and Osy, even liar Mohammed are avoiding my calls. This life no balance. Money is not everything," he told himself.
Joevics: Jakande vs. Tinubu: Who really built Lagos?

Japan’s Princess Mako, who grew up in a palace, left the palace to marry a struggling man living in a one bedroom flat. But you who grew up in a ‘face me I face you house' insist you cant marry a poor man? As a lady, if you don't have up to 1.5million naira in your account, please don't bother dating. Let alone getting married. Because Even in a palace, you will still be poor! Poverty is in your mind. If you hate poverty, go and make wealth yourself and then use the money to turn your man from pauper to prince. Stop seeing a man as rich or poor. You are marrying a human being. You are not marrying his money'' Emancipate yourself from this poverty mentality.
Every human with their own way you know
Same as faces differ so as mentality, most women doing it all wrong does not imply all women

Ofunaofu: Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has urged the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, to ask his party why it allowed Boko Haram to become a monster when it was in power.
At a People’s Town Hall 2023 series aired on a national television on Sunday, the former vice president to erstwhile president, Olusegun Obasanjo between 1999-2007, said he was puzzled about Boko Haram and how it was allowed to fester.
But, yesterday, Mohammed, pointedly told Atiku to stop blaming the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration when it was the PDP that was unable to contain Boko Haram when it started in 2009.
He stated this, in Abuja, at the ongoing PMB administration scorecard from 2015-2023.
Mohammed accused Atiku of abandoning Nigeria for refuge in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates at the peak of Boko Haram killings. He warned the former vice president not to throw stones on the campaign trail of the APC.
The minister noted that the PDP administration was unable to tame Boko Haram and allowed insurgents kill citizens until the Buhari administration took over in 2015 and has decimated the group and their activities.
“…Let me quickly react to the statement credited to His Excellency, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, who has reportedly expressed surprise at the existence of Boko Haram. The former vice president was quoted as saying he could not honestly understand the Boko Haram phenomenon, and wondered why Boko Haram continues to operate. Well, I think His Excellency didn’t need to look far to get the answers to his questions. He should simply ask his party, the PDP, under whose watch Boko Haram insurgency started in 2009. For six years until 2015, when our Administration assumed office and inherited Boko Haram, the PDP more or less nurtured the insurgents to the monster they later became. Alhaji Atiku should ask his party why it allowed Boko Haram to operate freely, bombing cities, motor parks, schools and other soft targets unrestrained.
“Alhaji Atiku, who was then residing in Abuja before porting to his new abode in Dubai, should ask his party, the PDP, why it allowed Boko Haram to bomb the police headquarters, the UN Complex, a shopping mall and motor parks in Abuja with so much ease.
“His Excellency may want to know that today, thanks to our patriotic troops, military objectives have almost been achieved in the North East, the home region of Boko Haram, thereby creating conditions for Stabilisation Operations to take place. Despite the very large Joint Operational Area, Boko Haram terrorists have been cleared from most of their strongholds, while remnants are being restricted to the tumbus/island around the Lake Chad that are difficult to access.”
Minime10: The only Country on planet Earth where you will find confirmed thieves, oppressors, destroyers & looters parading themselves as leaders is Nigeria
adenigga: The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has promised to do right by Nigerians if elected President in the 2023 general elections. The APC flagbearer said that Nigerians would not regret voting him as President, stressing that he has the competence and capacity to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
Naija News reports that Tinubu stated this on Tuesday during the APC campaign rally held at the main bowl of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna State. He also promised to tackle the worsening insecurity in the country and address the high level of unemployment by providing jobs to the teeming Nigerian unemployed youths. Tinubu said he was pained over insecurity in Kaduna in particular and Nigeria in general, added that terrorism would be totally eliminated under him as President next year.
He also hailed Governor Nasir El-Rufai for the infrastructural development of the state, noting that he was pleased to know that he had a worthy successor in Uba Sani, the governorship candidate of the party in the state. He said, “We thank God Almighty that brought you people here, we thank you for remaining loyal and faithful to our party, you will never regret it. “In Shaa Allah, all those troublemakers, all those kidnappers, killers who are troubling the security of Kaduna and Northern Nigeria, I assure you, we will eliminate them. “El-Rufai has done a good job, go around Kaduna, you will see how organised, how clean it is. And he has boosted the internally generated revenue. But a leader without a good successor is not a good leader. He has given us a young, energetic and honest boy, Uba Sani, to become the next governor of Kaduna State.”
Tinubu also appealed to his teeming supporters to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them to cast their votes on election day for all elective party members in the forthcoming elections across the zone. He added: “Let me now tell you, you should vote all candidates of our dear party, from the president to governor, to the senator, to House of Representatives (members), to House of Assembly, to chairmen and even councilors. May God bless you. God will turn this sunny day into a brighter day and bless you and your children. You will never regret it today.
“Everyone of you should go home with determination, check your PVC, and do not let them deny you your PVC. If you have not collected your PVC, please, in the name of Almighty Allah that gives power, go and collect your PVC. “Today, the sun is brighter, the sky is clear, and we don’t want to talk too much, we want you to go back home in peace, happiness, and joy. Our hope is here, we will do everything to make you the young ones properly employed. We will create jobs. We will establish the marketing board that will give you the right prices, that will give you comfort in your homes and make you a better person.
May Allah bless you all, thank you very much Kaduna.” The rally was also for governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and state Assembly candidates in the North-West zone comprising Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Jigawa Katsina, Sokoto, and Zamfara States.
gidgiddy: The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Monday denied attacking Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) facilities, saying it has no interest in the 2023 general elections
IPOB stated this in a release issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, which was made available to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State capital.
He advised security agencies to stop linking the group with the senseless attacks on INEC facilities, warning that IPOB would not spare anybody found engaging in the destruction of INEC facilities and pretending to be doing so on behalf of the pro-Biafra movement.
“ESN operatives never attacked INEC office because we are not interested in this Nigeria’s forthcoming election in 2023. Anyone or group blaming IPOB or ESN for any attack on INEC facilities is under the influence of some powerful drugs.
“IPOB will not spare anybody using our name to disrupt the election, and nobody should link us with those who are destroying election materials,” he stated
Powerful accused security agencies of hoarding information about the true identities of those behind the attacks on INEC facilities.
He wondered why the security agencies had not made arrests of the purported attackers if they were truly IPOB members.
He accused politicians of recruiting criminals and hoodlums “to attack election materials and blame it on IPOB and ESN.”
Daily Trust reported that stakeholders had expressed concerns over recent attacks on INEC facilities in the South East, leading to the destruction of permanent voter cards and other electoral materials.
In recent times, INEC offices in Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Abia and Imo have been razed by gunmen.
On Friday, INEC office in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo was attacked. The police had blamed the attack on people suspected to be members of IPOB.
But IPOB said, “Nigeria Government and her security agencies are working day and night to blackmail the IPOB self-determination movement. Criminals attack government facilities and they rush to the media to blame the attacks on IPOB and ESN without investigation.
”There has never been any time that Nigeria Police carried out any public inquiry on all the numerous attacks and arsons that they blamed IPOB for.”

Justseyii: Three men to die by hanging for raping Unilorin student to death
Abdulazeez Ismail, Ajala Oluwatimileyin, and Oyeyemi Omogbolahan, the suspects, raped to death a 300-level Unilorin student on June 2, 2021.
Following a year and a half of legal wrangling, the Kwara High Court condemned the killers of Olajide Blessing Omowumi, a 300-level student at the University of Ilorin, to death by hanging on Tuesday.
The assailants raped and murdered the deceased, who would have been 26 this year.
The trial judge, Ibrahim Yusuf, who delivered the verdict, convicted the first, second, and third suspects, Abdulazeez Ismail, Ajala Oluwatimileyin, and Oyeyemi Omogbolahan, of culpable homicide and armed robbery, and sentenced them to death by hanging.
“I command that Abdulazeez Ismail, Ajala Oluwatimileyin, and Oyeyemi Omogbolahan be hanged by the neck until they are pronounced dead,” the court said.
The court also sentenced the fourth and fifth suspects to three years in prison for stealing in the 165-page decision, which was delivered over four hours.
Previously, the court had discharged and acquitted the sixth, seventh, and eighth defendants, Abdullateef Abdulrahman, Daud Aderayo, and Akande Oladoja, because they had not been found guilty of any offenses.
According to the verdict, the deceased’s lifeless corpse was discovered in the afternoon with bruises all over her body, her hands tied behind her back, and a towel covering her face.
The judge went on to say that the conventional statement, which could be relied on under the law, revealed that the deceased struggled with the killers until she was pushed and fell, and that the first and third convicts held her down so that the second convict could commit the heinous crime of rape.
He stated that the girl was raped to death on June 2, 2021, at her guardian’s apartment in Ilorin’s Tanke district and that a piece of paper with the inscription ‘No forgiveness for Unilorin student’ was dropped on her breast.
Messrs Ismail, Oluwatimileyin, and Omogbolahan, according to the verdict, plotted to rob the deceased of her Samsung Galaxy A2 Core handset, one black Acer Aspire laptop, and one Samsung drive, among other items.
The killers were charged with 11 counts, including murder, rape, armed robbery, and illegal possession of guns.
