safarigirl: wow.....you went through over 8,000 posts in a couple of minutes and discovered I'm not igbo.....just wow!
FYI, I'm from Arochukwu, Atani village, I hope you know where that is. My mum is Anioma as well, I hope you also know where that is. My great grandfather is the late Alvan Ikoku, I hope you know who that is.
Good morning, and feel free to assume I googled all that shiiit Whether you're Igbo or not doesn't mean a thing. You're an ignorant little igbo girl. I have been watching you rant all over the thread without any sense of decorum. . Your problem is not peculiar to you alone, hundreds of thousands of Igbo youths like suffer the same identity problem, especially those born and bred outside the south east. |

I'm not voting because of the same reasons as you.
If I had my PVC in my hands, I'll definitely vote for GEJ. I didn't vote for him in 2011 because I saw him as timid, shy and easily intimidated. I was rooting for GMB because I voted GMB in 2007 and I was swayed by the whole anti-corruption and incorruptible persona he has.
My hatred for GMB started with the 2011 post election violence. Hundreds of people were killed in his name and the man never cared or showed any remorse.
If Buhari wins, it will be a big slap to the souls of the young Nigerians who lost their lives in 2011.

Gbawe: That Buhari has the support of the poorest Nigerians most prone to engaging in acts of violence is whose fault? Did Buhari make them so poor and disenfranchised to the point these people who have absolutely nothing to live for are now ready to fight for a man, i.e GMB, they perceive as their only hope of salvation and deliverance from the undignified life of poverty and deprivation the PDP has condemned them to?
Did the poor, neglected, abandoned, ill and hopeless in society not flock to Jesus? That the most poor, least educated, most neglected and most angry Nigerians support Buhari is a measure of his goodness even if a wicked soul like you cannot perceive this. Should those who have lost hope persevere with the callous GEJ who lets them die like chicken, uses ten air-planes when they do not even have a bicycle and eats N1 billion food annually while many can barely eat a meal a day? Thank the famed docility of Nigeria that the likes of GEJ you worship have not ended up like Samuel Doe for their heartless and inhuman looting.
To top it off, and as another measure of your lack of intellect, you claim Buhari will truncate our democracy yet I must ask if you even know the meaning of democracy. Democracy is a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.
Can it be said we have had true democracy under the PDP and GEJ? Does the PDP use the money of Nigeria on Nigerians i.e the people? Are Nigerians empowered under the PDP? Have they acted in the interest of ordinary Nigerians to validate the notion that power resides with the people in a democracy? Instead the PDP, including the GEJ you worship, loot copiously and reward themselves massively while they give the people nothing. Nada. Zero. You will see true democracy when Buhari wins because he will lead for the people and make their well-being the cornerstone of all actions and policies his government will initiate.
That the almajiris, talakawas and akushes worship GMB and queue behind him is a credit to the character of Buhari. These people, even if elitist "suffering and smiling" sycophants like you do not acknowledge it, are in the majority in our nation. They are the ones all of us who are privileged must focus to uplift and not insult, disenfranchise, discountenance or look down upon. Yes the poor and ignorant queue behind Buhari but this is because he is their main hope that there own children and offspring can escape the fate which has befallen them courtesy of the misrule and monumental corruption of the PDP at the centre. I don't back violence. I condemn it vehemently but understand why people who have absolutely nothing to live for are ready to fight , in a country full of very wicked and heartless leaders, for the emergence of a decent, godly and pro-people leader they are sure will do his best to improve their lives and give them something to live for. We are all praying for a violence-free election but never you ever, even with your wicked and anti-people soul, speak as if Buhari should be ashamed that the poorest of the poor and those who have lost hope completely are his biggest and most passionate followers. If Nigeria were not a Country full of wicked souls then we would not be hosting disdain in their hearts for so-called almajiris and talakawas. We would all be looking, as quickly as possible, to liberate them from the poverty, lack of opportunity, abandonment and deprivation that has condemned them to be what they are. You are absolutely disgusting!!! |

There are three levels of government in Nigeria. Sometimes I wonder if Nigerians remember that they have state governors and local government chairmen. Oil revenues increased over the past four years, thats true, but also remember that the revenues were shared by all the levels of government. Budgetary appropriations for state governments and local governments have doubled in recent years but this has not translated to visible developments in various states in the country. Putting all blames on the federal government is very wrong. |

Nigeria's problem are mostly structural. Vestiges of years of deep maladministration from military juntas.
The major problem problem Nigeria faces today, which is a lack of education and knowledge amongst her citizens was caused by decades of neglect of the eduction sector by the same military rulers.
Other fundamental political and social issues that hinder our progress like ethnic jingoism and the 1999 constitution were exacerbated and instilled on the country by the same military gangs.
It is now extremely difficult for Nigeria to have or get "performing" politicians or leaders as presidents or governors. No matter how hard a president tries to fix the country under these present difficult circumstances, he will still be seen as a non-performer, corrupt, weak, dictatorial etc. . It has always been the case and will always be.
Good leadership in Nigeria is unattainable. That's the bitter truth. |

babadee1: Civilians have been just as bad or even worse than the military in providing good governance and promoting democracy. Goodluck Jonathan has definitely been worse than any military ruler when it comes to safeguarding lives and security in Nigeria. The military destroyed this country. The major security problems we have in the country today was caused by the inability of the Hausa/Fulani dominated military regimes of the past to correct the fundamental structural issues facing the country. The Hausa/Fulani dominated military regimes have made it extremely difficult for Nigeria to forge ahead and make reasonable progress. They failed to lay a solid foundation after over thirty years of ruling the country. |
Politics › Re: Babangida Fumes At Anti-military Political Broadcast by Sweetguy25: 6:18pm On Mar 25, 2015 |
Babangida should go and seat down. Military intervention and interference in Nigerian politics destroyed this country. The military also caused the civil war, that led to the loss of millions of precious lives. That Nigeria is a useless country today, is due to the interference of power hungry military men. |
