I sent my passport and it was delivered last week monday. I just got it back that i didnt add Biometrics sticker. I did my biometrics in 2018 and i dont even know where to get sticker from. Please what can i do as the agents in the webchat seemed to know less of what i can even do.

Do you add your Biometrics Validity letter (BVL)? It usually sent just before the PPR.

I have sent courier request form with proof of payment to collect back my passport but VFS is not acknowledging it. Been on it since last week chatted Akin this morning he didnt even assist just closed the chat ,who can advise on what next to do

My mom's passport got delivered last week. No acknowledgement yet. The chat is telling me that all the agents are busy. It's quite frustrating sha. But we should just wait a little.

Update: they had sent me an acknowledgment email with the tracking ID

Hi everyone, please I need your inputs on the new ircc portal. If the bank statement I intend to upload is too large even after compressing how do I go about this? Can I transfer funds to savings account where I will have few pages to upload and explain to the visa officer that the funds came from my other account with proof? or send the bank statement using webform (does 2mb rule apply to webform? ). TIA.

Why don't you check mbs. It's usually 1 page. Your bank sends the bank statement to ircc and gives you a kind of password that you will attach. With the mbs, they get the password and view your statement of account that your bank already sent. You don't have to worry about bulkiness of statement of account.

He and his father are Canadian Citizens so they don't need visas but I need one to go with them. Is there any way I can get them to issue me an urgent visa.

Can the embassy expedite the process for us and what can we do to get an expedited visa?

If you have attached the necessary documents, keep positive. Send an email and webforms and attach urgent. It may work. Only if they deem your application as urgent will they expedite the process. No one here can tell.

Very possible. It's after biometrics everything will start. However, they decide whether to start, immediately or later.

Is your spouse on study visa here in Canada or on work permit here in Canada? If no, you may not be eligible for open work permit.

Did you apply for the open work permit from Nigeria? My wife and I have a visiting visa . Yet to visit though. We didn’t apply with the kids . 5 of them. We didn’t plan to Japa at that time. Now it’s a japa thing, can the open work permit be an option for us?

I'm here on study permit. But yes, my husband applied for open work permit and my kids applied for visit visa.

Open work permit is an option if either ou or your spouse has a work permit or a study permit. If not, you cannot apply for open work permit from Nigeria.

Just departure. Klm forced me to buy return. I got return for 1200, it was a flexible ticket. I canceled immediately I left the airport n got my full refund.

Check Egypt air and Ethiopian airlines. They both have cheap flights. I also saw KLM cheaper than those two but only 1 23kg bag allowed and one stop. So if you are not coming with much luggage, check them out.

Keep positive. Did you try to track to know if your visa details are there? If the visa details are there on the portal, then no worries

You can definitely make an enquiry with your MP's office for help with the status on your spousal sponsorship application but just FYI - they are not able to influence the outcome of your application.

Re: your TRV refusal, this sucks but when you have "significant ties" in Canada such as a spouse, you need to fight harder to convince them you'll return after your visit. What documents were submitted?

It's just very annoying. Last year my husband and kids visitor visas was refused because of this significant ties in canada and we then apply for open work permit, and reapply for visitor visa for the kids. Less than 3 months later their application was approved.

Do they now mean that with work permit, he no longer has a significant ties in Canada? So annoying

You pay per applicant, 30k is just for one person. Vfs use ups as der courier third party, but it’s vfs you’ll pay.

Their site says 18,710 starting from July 10.

Walk into any DHL or UPS store, you can google & check for the one's near you.

- Two photocopies of your international passport data page
- Your International Passport itself

Put everything in a Big Brown Envelope,

Write your FULL NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NO. & Email Address on the Envelope boldly

IRCC requested for the passports of myself (principal applicant), my husband and son since last year, 2022 April for my PR application. In November they asked for my husband's biometrics which he did and it was updated on my profile. Since November 2022. I have received no response from them till now. I have sent webforms and mails through my agent, yet nothing. I don't know what to think or do. I have used the tracking ID given to check on VFS tracker, it's giving me "the ID doesn't exist". Please anyone can enlighten me on what step to take, I will truly appreciate it. Thank you

Why don't you get your ircc details and check your portal yourself? If you have your details, check the ircc tracker not the vfs tracker. I am not really sure of agents. It's best you do your application yourself. Again, I have concerns that you said ircc requested for your passports meanwhile your husband has not done his biometrics? Just be sure the agent is not playing with you sha.

Did you apply for another visa before, like open work permit?

This usually happens when you have applied for another visa and they want to approve one. If you did not, wait for the letter they said they will send and send a webform and lay your complain.

5mil in my moms account. I had stated in her application that i will support her if need be. So even though I didn't submit my own account statement, I had submitted my paystub showing I earn money here in Canada.

What could be happening, Could rejection still happen since tracker is not updated with VISA status. Fear dey catch me now based on the experiences i am seeing here.

Check on the DHL slip they gave, you will see your tracking number. If you snapped the package after they wrapped it, it's on the package too. Then go to their site and track.
