What do you mean by confirmation of biometrics If it is BVL, biometrics Validity letter, it will come with your decision letter.

Check your portal to see if your biometrics number is showing, if yes then you are good.

The last mail I got is Your application, tracking ID No. **** has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja OC on Wed Jul 26 2023 and is in transit to the IRCC Office in Abuja OC for processing.

My travel date is next week as the summer school I am to attend starts 12th.

I am almost in the same shoe o. My mom's passport was sent since on the 11th. The last message though is on the Monday 31st that the passport is under processing in ircc office. It's more than 3weeks already and they haven't stamped the passport. It's really frustrating. Please let me know what worked for you because I am beginning to think my mom should email them.

Same shoes oo. My mom submitted to Lagos since July 11. It got to vfs Lagos by July 13th. Till now, tracker still saying it's in IRCc office and in process. I didn't know it will take this awful lot of time, would have sent straight to Abuja. It's frustrating oo.

My mom's own was processed in 9 business days from biometrics. And less than 3 weeks from application. I know people that theirs was shorter too. On the new portal though.

3 weeks? It use to take like 7-10 days now it would have been stamped and sent back to vfs office in lagos for collection

If you use the new ircc portal, it's about 6 weeks (30 business days). If you use the gckey it's about more than 700days average processing time, the last time I checked. It may not be upto that.

PS: it depends entirely on IRCC. The processing time on their site are average timelines.

That is the type of passport I submitted to VFS because it's still valid for 3 more years but this delay at IRCC office is getting worrisome.

When did you submit? I actually don't think it's because of no NIN. My mom submitted her passport with NIN. Today makes it exactly 20days she got PPR and 19days the courier journey began. But I think it will be back this week sha. For passport stamping give or take 2- 3 weeks . 2 weeks if you submitted directly to Abuja. 3 weeks or 4 if you submitted to Lagos.

I need advice to give an older friend of mine who wants to go to Canada but his circumstances is quite different.

He is in his late 40s and a successful, wealthy businessman in Nigeria. He wants to relocate to Canada with his family of two daughters and wife. Both him and his wife have SSCE qualifications as their only education.

What are his chances or what can be do to relocate to Canada? He asked me to help me find a suitable pathway for him and I've been thinking about it for weeks now. Can anyone help?

If he has enough money, he can come in as a tourist and pay for LMIA with a genuine rcic consultant that can help him get an employer, get and lmia and get a work permit . It can cost him about 20k to 35k cad, get an skilled job and the wife can qualify for an open work permit and the children for study permit.

Disclaimer: I heard paying for LMIA is illegal so you have to trade cautiously.

Oh, that's the difference. Her own was last updated 11th of July when they provided the visa details. No further update since then. Ircc account still says background check in progress. I guess we have to wait for a while.

You went to their office and collected your passport? The problem is that it's my mom's passport and she can't go to Abuja as she is busy at work in Anambra state.

But please did they update your ircc account yet and your application tracker not the tracker for vfs?

Not yet o. They haven't sent the ready for collection email. Last update is still that the tracking id has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja OC on Thu Jul 20 2023 and is in transit to the IRCC Office in Abuja OC for processing. I also know that when IRCC finally stamps it, it will be updated on the portal.

Sale of land. But by the time she want to print the account, she wouldn't be showing the day the money dropped. If she is to show it, it would be a 4 months statement of account. The description was clearly written sales of land. Please what documents should she show for the sales of that land?

Not entirely true. Study visas still Nairobi. Although they may send a few to other places if they have a lot of work.

Just want to be sure that Airfrance doesn't do the two way madness like Egyptair.

Why do you call it madness? Policy is policy. If you are traveling with a Visitor visa you must buy a return ticket. If some people got away with one way ticket doesn't mean it's madness on the part of the airline. If you are travelling with Student visa you are not required to have a return ticket.

Walk into any DHL or UPS store, you can google & check for the one's near you.

This is the Address you will mail your documents to:

Documents to go with to the DHL Office:

- Two photocopies of your international passport data page
- Your International Passport itself
- Passport request letter
- Biometric confirmation slip (the document you were given after u did your Biometrics)
-Two copies of signed VFS consent forms

Put everything in a Big Brown Envelope,

Write your FULL NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NO. & Email Address on the Envelope boldly

When you go to DHL, also indicate that you want a two way courier service. Then provide them the address you want your passport sent to when ready.

PS: I learned you can't do two way courier anymore. You pay for one way and then after your passport has been stamped, vfs will contact you on how much to pay and they will courier it to you themselves. Someone else here also suggested you pay for the return courier and attach the receipt and a courier consent form for them to return it. Check their site for the new one way courier fee.

Please a Friend sent his Passport through UPS courier service to VFS Lagos last week Tuesday. Till today Monday 17th , July no acknowledgement email from VFS.

Though he saw on UPS tracker that it was delivered to someone.

Yes. My mom's own was delivered on the 13th (thur) from DHL tracker but she got an acknowledgment email from them today.

1 way courier from VFS have gone up to 31,160 effective July 14. But when I submitted it was 18,710 effective July 10. Today, I received a mail acknowledging the receipt of the package saying it was received today July 17th. Na wa for them sha. Let me wait and know if they will send me a mail to pay

A couple of people had stated that if you loss your biometrics sticker, you can attach the BVL instead.
