Was this sent through email? No, I didn't get it. When you couriered it to them, did you pay for transmission fee? It appears you sent the passport where you did the biometrics so no transmission fee required. It also means that they have received your passport.

My mom sent through DHL, it hasn't arrived vfs yet. I tracked it, says will arrive by end of business on Wednesday (tomorrow)

What does that means.

Have you received your ppr? And has your passport been stamped? If yes that is it!

It means that a decision has been made on your application.

Pls anyone successfully reach Canada VFS via phone. Cos their number is literally impossible to reach. Or how can one successfully reach them?

Do you know if they issue refunds? I paid 30k plus for 1-way courier however their site now says it's back to the 18k. Anyone in these same shoes as me?

When did you pay? Their site says effective July 10th, it's back to 18,710 or so

Please I want to be sure, the new courier amount for one way return of passport is #18,710, the site says effective July 10, 2023, so I am guessing this is the most accurate.

Checked mine yday, not sure I noticed. What does the visa details look like? Does it start with V?

In the tracker, under visitor visa details, it contains Visitor visa document number with starts with E, expiry date, your passport number and the issuing country.

What consent form again? If your mom would be the one to collect her passport I don't think that necessary?

It was sent through DHL. I use to know it's 1 consent form to sign. But I just read a recent post here saying 2 consent form. That is why I am concerned. And no, she cannot do pick up as she is in Anambra and we sent the passport to Lagos since that was were she did the biometrics.

If you’re paying transmission fee, you’ve to pay online n include the proof along with other documents.

Well don to all the gurus answering and helping peeps here. We have finally received PPR for my spouse.

Application date - Aril 12th 2023
BVL - July 10 2023
PPR - July 10 2023

Although no Visa details on his tracker just like some people has said but on application status, it says the Final decision has been taken and Visa has been approved.

I have sent the passport today via DHL i cannot wait and do not expect any contrary news.

Was this the case you talked about that they later sent withdrawal letter? How was is supposed to read please? Do you have a screenshot of how it is supposed to read?

There's currently no other way to reach them here except via email, so send to Lagos and even Nairobi.

This is exactly how my moms own reads right now.

I actually didn't notice any update. I was only checking the overview to see if the Visa details has dropped. But now you asked, I checked further and saw that eligibility is completed and the background is still in progress.

My moms own was updated the next day after she received hers.

She reeived her BVL and PPR Yesterday. Thank you for answering. Let me wait for it today. They are currently doing maintenance on their site.

i was issued PPR , i submitted passports then days later got a letter to disregard the passport request after i have submitted passport. funniest thing again now is i have an urgent trip for 1st week of August.

Please, how many days later did you get the message to disregard the PPR and what is your timeline like? When did you submit an application and when did you get PPR?

I am about to book a flight for my mom, so I need to know if I should hold on. I am so scared right now. She got PPR yesterday but no visa details on the tracker.

Also, can you check the IRCC Portal where you submitted the application to see if the visa approved status has changed?

If there isn't any visa number on the IRCC tracking portal, maybe the PPR letter might have sent erroneously and your application is still being reviewed.

In this case and because you've paid for tickets, maybe send webforms and emails to Lagos and Abuja with subject starting with URGENT. They review these and if deemed urgent by them, respond between 24 - 48hours.

Ok, good for you. I know a lot of people they ask. So, my point is don't rule out the possibility they will ask. I also know someone they sent back (deported) because he couldn't explain how the money he claimed he had is not there and he couldn't logically defend it. Everyone should get prepared in case they ask.

Why would you make a strong statement like this as if you have met all the cbsa officers?
Some of them do ask to be sure that you have enough funds.

Please guys, I want to ask. With this naira decline wahala, people that applied 2020, 2021, 2022 even early 2023, do you guys have to send an updated statement of account? Like you applied with 5mil when it is equivalent to 20kcad and now that amount is just about 9kcad. Do you need to send an updated statement of account?

To be precise, my mom applied for her visit visa with 5mil, when it was about 14kcad and explained she planned to use 10kcad for the travel. Now the whole 5mil is not even upto 10kcad again. Any need for updated statement of account? What's the best way to deal with this. It's worrisome how naira keeps falling

On a general note, please I want to know how long should the visit be. A month? 2 months? 3 months? I know it varies but I want to know if there is any pattern. People that got PPR, please kindly indicate how many weeks you applied for.

I also know it's case by case. And it depends on so many factors. But your answers will really help me. Please guys share your experiences o

Hello, I got PPR within 2 weeks of initiating the whole process

Application submission: Feb 26th
Biometric letter: Feb. 27th
Capturing: March 3rd
BVL: March 10th
Passport request: March 10th.

I used the new link. I have no travel history. I used my two accounts to show POF. I have a married citizen brother who invited me. I will be there for the easther holiday.


So my question, can I deliver my passport in person at the Lagos office? I used them for the biometrics

This sounds like she'll be a child minder for the duration. So she'll be applying to work with a visit visa.

I have read a few stories a while ago about applications like these which get rejected so be mindful on how this is presented.

3 months is too much, state 3-4weeks, she can use decide to use 3 months when she gets to Canada.

Lastly only ircc can answer how long it will take. Some applications are still pending decision since 2021 while some that applied April 2023 have gotten a decision.

Also, any idea whether the people that applied in April 2023 and got decision, did they apply on new portal or the old portal?
