AbaLion:Hahahahaha!!!! how totally ironic . Hitler would never have seen you as a human being. Yet you’re here calling him great. Great men led the people in war. They did not kill themselves. No warrior does that. |
Officialgarri:I hope you know Hitler died the death of the coward. He committed suicide. |
Clefayomide:You’re most welcome. Reading all these mentions and comments, it is obvious that there are so many misconceptions about what the pension is. You can go to pal pensions. The head office is in Victoria island. Or IBTC pensions. When you get the explanations, maybe you can open a thread to educate all these people who can’t differentiate between the gratuity and the pension. Who see pensions as an investment like mutual funds. |
Asquare84:That is not how it works. The pension is not just made up of employees and employer contributions. You have the interests also. But often, this is not enough to pay a salary every month for a minimum of 18 years. Where does the rest of the money come from? The pension fund in general. If the pensioner dies without collecting the gratuity, the next of kin receives that lump sum. The rest goes back into the pension fund. Pension is not transferable. It won’t even be paid into a third party bank account. |
Asquare84:This information is totally false. This is not how to get clients. |
Clefayomide:Please go to their office and get the facts. |
Clefayomide:This is how it works. You and your employer contribute certain amount every month. If you retire before you’re 50, you can take 25% of the contribution plus acrued interest. If you don’t take it and you retired by 50, you’ll be paid the 25% in bulk. The rest will be paid every month or quarterly based on your instruction for next maybe 18years. This is your pension. It is not paid in bulk and it is not transferable. |
dchem:Is there something wrong with you? Stop misleading the op. He is not talking about savings or investments his dad had with the bank. He is talking about his dads pension. He can only receive the gratuity. Pension is not paid as a lump sum. It is paid every month. |
dannybrasky:But I’m talking from experience too. There have a lot of reforms regarding pensions. Please don’t raise the ops expectations |
valdes00:25 percent of the pension money will be given to you anytime you want it. That is if you retire before you’re 50 years of age. So you can take it and invest. Then maybe die after that and you kids can inherit that. Maybe |
Famax:Are you brainless? Do you work at all? Do you have a pension plan? Then you’d know that pension is not transferable. What is transfered to the next of kin is any unpaid gratuity. If you want to know more you can contact pension providers like pal, ibtc... |
valdes00:Gratuity |
Pinkybush:It is not just your dad’s contribution. It is the contribution of your dad and his employer. You are not entitled to your dads pension. |
mastar111:Maybe that’s why you don’t use noun markers or articles in your sentences. Don’t worry, Nigeria will get. |
Gandollar:Oh just stuff it. First of all, I’m female. Secondly, do you know what state and constituency I belong to? Is an incomplete school building after how many years in government noteworthy? Finally, I am so far from poor. If you are very observant, you’d notice the f beside my moniker. If you check my previous posts, you’d understand that I don’t stand for bashing anyone because they are privileged. Oh! Finally finally, I don’t consider Dino or any one in government not doing their job rich. He is an employee of the state and since my taxes pay him, he should do his job. |
Dear Mr. Usman, you are an honorable man indeed. Your good name and grand deed will be remembered by generations yet unborn. You have added value to thousands of lives and this can never be forgotten. You’ve shown foreigners that honest Nigerians exists. May you be uplifted and May you enjoy good success. |
GEEBITE:It is not ethical for Dino to flaunt his wealth while representing the poorest state in Nigeria. |
Dannyhajo:Dino’s loyalty is to Kogi State? Oga, show us the dividends of his loyalty in Kogi State. How can someone representing a state in abject poverty be flaunting his wealth? Has Dino been able to identify the problems with Kogi State? Has he proffered any appropriate solutions? All we read is Dino singing to taunt his political detractors or attending one function like an entertainer or trying to outsmart the scheming political opponents. Oh and showing off his cars of course. |
jaxxy:Tinubu truly does and personally, I detest Tinubu. But Dino flaunts his wealth while representing the poorest state in Nigeria. Tinubu never flaunts his wealth on social media or real world. |
lordkush:It does not matter if his money is legitimate. While there’s nothing wrong with owning these cars if he can afford them, it is morally wrong for Dino to flaunt his money when he represents a state that is in abject poverty. Where some teachers are paid three thousand Naira per month. Where there has been no change in the last 40 years. A state where it’s indegenes are committing suicide because of hunger and hardship. Have you seen the poverty mindset of a great number of the youths of Kogi State? I expect Dino on social media to discuss the problems with Kogi State as well as proffering appropriate solutions. Dino is smart enough to outsmart his political detractors. Let him use some of the smarts to help his state. |
FortuneDeGreat:Mr. literate, if you’re not happy with the results that has given President Buhari his second term, your education should inform you to take the case to court instead of making up up stories on Nairaland |
donkarly:Crushing a rebellion and crushing people isn’t the same. It is unfortunate that to crush the rebellion, people had to die. But even if he said something wrong, should you not show more wisdom and compassion? |
Yakubu Gowon has a great name in not just Nigerian history, but Africa as a whole. He could have gloated in victory, but chose to embrace the vanquished. He declared no victor or vanquished in the aftermath of the war. Because being the wise person he is, he knows that everyone looses when relationships degenerate into a war. Unfortunately, over 50years after the war, some myopic and selff seeking people still play the ethnic card to promote their personal agendas. |
donkarly:You really are malicious. What on earth have his people ever done to you that you’re rejoicing at the death of innocent people. |
boldaslion:Kindly get out of my mentions. I don’t have conversations with narrow minded, shallow, and iniquitous people. You don’t wish Nigeria well. While you’re still alive, you will see Nigeria thrive in good success. |
Jason007:True! Those kids should not be left with such a father. |
Offpoint:Just trying to justify their wickedness. The people their fleecing don’t even know anything about the slave trade. Some are immigrants or descendants of immigrants. Some are African Americans. The real descendants of slavery. Moreover, there’s no reason to blame the whites for the slave trade. Our chiefs and leaders sold their own people for frivolous rubbish like mirrors and dented pots. |
Offpoint:Of course they operate in Nigeria. When they throw out feelers overseas and get no response, their broke, lazy, wicked and desperate selves look for a victim in Nigeria. I know they’ve called me numerous times. |
ballerboy:Really? But the man is not Igbo. Meanwhile, please don’t bring tribal sentiments into my mentions. |
Jason007:Okay, but when I say adoption, I’m not talking about the legal way. I’m talking about what is done traditionally. Giving kids to more fortunate relatives or even strangers to raise and give them more opportunities. I would have blamed poverty if he was looking for the rich man so he could give the children to him to raise. But to actually think of selling them speaks of a mindset that speaks of wickedness and selfishness. |
tellwisdom:Seriously? Because you stated it so emphatically does not make it true. Women have found out that they have no benefits under the traditional marriage. Which is why more and more women opt for the registry. |
Jason007:Illiteracy has nothing to do with his actions. Being literate does not mean high morals. As for hunger, he could have put his kids up for adoption if he could no longer take care of them. Instead, he put a price tag on them. |
