PoliticsBig Shame Nigerians Are Not Praising Us For All We've Done – Lai Mohammed by sweetsandy4luv(op): 11:34am On Apr 24, 2018
A lot of Nigerians are wondering if the Change Begins With Me Campaign is about stealing because just after it was launched, two men- Mr. Akin Fadeyi and Omo Bazuaye- said the concept was stolen from them.

What do you say to that?

It is unfortunate that some Nigerians don’t believe in industry, honesty, integrity and hard work. But they should realise that there is no shortcut to success except by being honest and straightforward.

This is the case with these two young men because I will show you evidence that proves that by October 14, 2015, the entire thematic production of Change Begins With Me had been completed.

And by October 31, the theme songs had been completed. Fadeyi was sent to me by Simon Kolawole (a former Editor of THISDAY Newspaper) in December or January and when he came, we compared (our works).

However, this is a campaign that will last the entire administration. So, I said to him, ‘if and when we need contents and your contents match our own, we will contact you’.

And that was why I told him, we can’t even take your material because we are not changing our theme -Change Begins With Me- because everything we have done is on that and yours is Not In My Country; and he went away.

The next time we heard from him was in June 2016, when he wrote a letter to request for partnership. We did not make a secret of this campaign. As soon as I became minister; I told the whole world what I was going to do. I will read this out to you. The correspondence was dated October 14, 2015 and was sent at 3.04pm on that day.

Some Nigerians are incredible people. Fadeyi came in January. We thank God for technology. As soon as I became minister, I called a meeting of all the directors to say that I was going to launch this campaign and after that, I received proposals from more than 20 people, including Jimi Johnson.

And to all of them, I had just one message- wait for me to launch my campaign, if your material matches our own, we will call you.

In December, I came to Lagos to seek the support of Don Jazzy, Sunny Ade, Kwam 1, Tiwa Savage, P Square, all of them.

I met them at the Southern Sun and told them that they could produce a theme song for me. So how can anybody now wake up and say this was his idea?

Honestly, it is just inspiration from God and I worked with a team of more than five people. We invited Brian from CENTERSPREAD.

All the time I was telling the world that I was going to launch the campaign, why didn’t anybody say it was their idea?

But some Nigerians have questioned the timing of the campaign, describing it as diversionary and that it appears as if the government is pushing its change agenda on the people after it failed to keep its promise. What do you say to that?

Buhari Vs Nigerian Youth Must Read By Every Intelligent Youth

Speaking at the Common Wealth Business Forum in Westminster on April 18, 2018, Buhari said :
“Nigerian youths are lazy, uneducated; and don’t like to do any work because they believe their country is an oil-rich nation, thus always wanting free oil money “
Source:https://www.newsflashngr.com/buhari-vs-nigerian-youth/

NIGERIAN YOUTH : Sir, you are absolutely correct. One of the lazy Nigerian youths who is enjoying free oil money had an accident with the power bike he bought with free oil money not too long ago, and he was flown abroad for treatment with free oil money, then he hired a jet with free oil money from London to Abuja after his treatment.

Sir, we Nigerian Youth completely agree with you that the Nigerian youths are lazy and uneducated and always wanting free oil money. Their role models are in Aso Rock enjoying free oil money without even solving any security or economic problem for the country.

When they are ill, they fly abroad for medical vacation with free oil money.
Why would anyone disagree with you that the Nigerian youths are uneducated? It’s very obvious. That’s why they don’t even know their rights !! Some of them ignorantly keep defending your ineptitude !!!

Sir, at 19 years of age, you left secondary school to join the Nigerian Army. At age 21, you were commissioned a second lieutenant and appointed Platoon Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in Abeokuta, Nigeria.
Where can our youths get such opportunity today ?

Buhari Vs Nigerian Youth Must Read By Every Intelligent Youth

You enjoyed free education as a young man, but today the youths are deprived of basic education. You were a governor, a petroleum commissioner and a Head of State as a youth; but today, youths are on social media defending your failures !

Honestly, sir, we agree with you that the Nigerian youths are lazy. That’s why you ruled Nigeria as a youth and have also grabbed the job as an old man.

The youths are too ignorant to even know the implication of this your comment, because some indolent ones would still rationalize it as an “ordinary” comment, forgetting that ‘out of the abundance of the mind, the mouth speaks’.
They don’t even know that you and your fellow old men are presently doing the jobs that the youths should, ordinarily, be doing !

Sir, the most interesting aspect of this your “truth” is that you said it in a country where their government provides basic infrastructures, almost free education, free WiFi, free health care, almost free investment loans for their youths.
While, in your own country, these lazy and uneducated youths, provide their own electricity, schools, security, roads, healthcare etc.. Yet, the indolent youths use their “free oil money” to buy mobile data to defend your ineptitude.

Sir, let us remind you that we have seen so many Nigerian youths who were almost useless in Nigeria, but when they cross over to the western world, they suddenly begin to excel in different fields of endeavor. What do you think is responsible for their positive output in the foreign land?

Your guess is as good as ours. Sir- the difference is not far-fetched : A responsible government usually plan for their youths and create enabling environment for the youths to be able to create wealth and contribute to National development. Can we say the same of your own government ? Certainly Not ! Instead, we have lazy, uneducated youths who would hang on telecommunication masts and electric cables to shout “SAI BABA” whenever you visit their states.

SHAME ! We only wish they knew better.

Finally, sir, let us ask you this : Apart from the free oil money this country has been paying you since your days as a youth till date, what have you been able to create for yourself ? Do you have thriving businesses that are providing employment for the Nigerian youths?

Have you invented anything on your own? Sir, you can now see that this free oil money is what has kept you going for over 50 years. Perhaps this laziness is not limited to the youths alone. We guess some 75-year-old incompetent presidents are also lazy and love free oil money; and that’s why they want to remain in power till they are 80 years old.

Buhari Vs Nigerian Youth Must Read By Every Intelligent Youth

If we take away the free oil money this country has been paying you so that you then appraise your life, are you sure you will have any worth, sir?

We leave you to your conscience, Sir.

But, we hope that all intelligent Nigerian youths will realise that you are now using their time, after you had long-ago used your own time.

We hope that all intelligent Nigerian youths will stop being “lazy” and join hands, to take charge of their own destiny.

We equally hope that Nigerian youths will get their Permanent Voter’s Card ready, and give you appropriate response in 2019.

How Okorocha’s Son In-law Uche Nwosu Inspired Youth Consciousness In Nigerian Politics

BY ONWUASOANYA FCC JONES
Source>>>https://www.newsflashngr.com/okorochas-son-law-uche-nwosu-inspired-youth-consciousness-nigerian-politics/
Till few months ago, Mr Sowore, the publisher of the controversial Sahara reporters was comfortable in his exotic apartment in the United States of America from where he churns out news and expository essays on some of Nigeria’s highly placed politicians and power wielders.

Sowore’s internet and social media activities, while he coloured it before the public to look like they were inspired by solely humanitarian motivations, were big money spinner to him, as well a big platform that launched him into relevance among Nigerian political and business elites.

No doubt, Sowore, a former President of the Students Union Government in the Lagos State University and a frontline activist under the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has long been politically exposed. However, it is not certain, if the radical Lagos boy and billionaire whistleblower ever saw a possibility for him to run for any serious elective office in the nearest future- at least, not in 2019.

Many young men and women of Sowore’s generation, especially, those among them who hitherto were more comfortable with been addressed as activists, have begun to show credible interest in taking their political fates into their hands.

It is a gratifying reality that younger generation of Nigerians are beginning to stake a formidable claim to the Nigerian project. Instead of hiding behind computers and smart phones to complain, these youths have taken to the podium of politics to argue their case at the highest level, instead of leaving it in the hands of our obviously tiring grandparents.

Before this new youth Awakening spearheaded by Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, Omoyele Sowore and a few others, there have been very young men of less than 45 years of age who have made reasonable impact in our political space since the present Fourth Republic.

Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, Donald Duke, Dimeji Bankole, Bukola Saraki and most recently, Yahaya Bello were all able to rise to great political heights before they were 45, but they are very different from this present crop of youthful revolutionaries staking their claim on the Nigerian power pie, presently.

While these other men were able to beat their way to the top with their heavy purses, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and the generation of youths he has inspired to throw their hats into the Nigerian political race are young men who have a verifiable history of leadership tutelage long before declaring their intentions to vie for any political office.

They are not moneybags who feel they can buy their way to power, but prepared and very competent leaders who have shown a long suppressed hunger to play prominent roles in the realization of a new Nigeria.

Ugwumba Uche Nwosu takes the credit for inspiring our generation, not just in Imo State, but across Nigeria to take our political fates into our hands. Nwosu, who became a governorship candidate of a major political Party before he clocked 40 years of age is that young man who has succeeded in making Nigerian youths regain confidence in themselves.

It is not out of place that a number of young men who have began to show credible interest in taking up powerful political offices in the country may be doing so out of envy for the audacious political impact recorded by the Eziama-Obaire born seasoned technocrat, but this envy is the positive one.

Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has succeeded in not only inspiring the youths to challenge for their place in the Nigerian political space, but also in convincing a number of our elders to support this charge.

From former military President Ibrahim Babangida to former civilian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, the call for Nigerian youths to take over governance at all levels is resonating loudly and persistently.

Omoyele Sowore and other younger presidential aspirants in the 2019 election may not stand any chance of winning the election, but they would have made a powerful statement with their declaration and if they eventually run the whole hog, then our generation would have succeeded in making a strong statement of intent regarding our political relevance that can only but keep burning up.

Nigerian youths of all backgrounds and orientations have been motivated to begin to think of themselves as the driver’s of the Nigerian rebirth, instead of complacent passengers in a vehicle that is almost getting grounded by the rough driving of our ageing present crop of leaders. Remember, this idea was planted in Imo State by Ugwumba Uche Nwosu and is germinating across Nigeria, to the glory of God.

Create Special Industrial Development Plan For Anambra Now – Obiano Tells FG

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has called on the Federal Government to create a Special Industrial Development Plan for Anambra State as a sure way to leapfrog Nigeria into a leading start-up economy in the world.

https://www.newsflashngr.com/create-special-industrial-development-plan/

Governor Obiano made the call yesterday during the closing ceremony of the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Clinics held at Onitsha.

Obiano who noted that even without Federal government’s support, the State has been able to establish itself as an industrial hub in the country, said a clear industrial development plan from the Federal Government will help industrialists in the State to take advantage of the financial strength and institutional might of the government at
the centre, to take industrialization in the country to the next level.

Create Special Industrial Development Plan

He stressed the need for critical support from the Federal government in nurturing a comprehensive program it has designed to drive its efforts at promoting industrialization and supporting MSMEs in the State.
This program he noted includes construction of technology parks to serve as start-up hubs in the three senatorial districts of the State, establishment of industrial clusters in the three zones, construction of textiles and allied products centre at Ogbunike and establishment of MSMEs incubation and Support Center.

Create Special Industrial Development Plan

The Governor who maintained that his government has laid a solid foundation for economic growth in the State through the instrumentality of the State Small Business Agency, ASBA, said the Agency has established a structure that facilitates easy access to micro-credit for MSME entrepreneurs to achieve sustainable economic growth of the State.

CrimeMan Arrested For Diverting Govt. Revenue In Anambra by sweetsandy4luv(op): 9:42am On Apr 14, 2018
Man Arrested For Diverting Govt. Revenue In Anambra

The Market leader of Oye Uga Market, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, Mr. Victor Isichekwe has been arrested for diverting government revenue to his personal account.

The State Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, Market and Wealth Creation, Dr Christian Mmadubuko made the arrest and officially handed him over to the officers and men of Department of security Service (DSS), in the State, for further investigation.

The arrest of the culprit came barely 48hours after the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, order the clam down of any illegal revenue collector in the State.

Mr. Isichekwe was alleged to be in the practice of issuing fake receipt with which he diverts State Government funds to his personal account.

The Commissioner regretted that government had hitherto battled with the ugly trend of revenue diversion by the market leaders but warned that the era when people appropriate government money has gone as, henceforth, any unauthorized person caught in the act must be dealt with.

Dr Mmadubuko directed all those who have permit from the government to collect revenues to revert back to the Ministry so as to know their job specification and the duration of their services while the marketers should put on hold, any payment till further notice.

The Head of Department, Market, in the Ministry, Mrs Nkiruka Ebo Nwosu, said on assumption of office in 2017, she noticed that market leaders were giving authority letters to collect revenue in their various markets but that many of them are not complying with the directive of using the integrated pay direct system in revenue collection.

Giving his side of the story, Mr. Isichekwe, who narrated how they were giving authority letter, said the marketers do not comply without being issued with receipts, hence the printing of the receipts.

He stated that he began the illegal act of collection of revenue in October last year and has about one hundred and ninety thousand naira at hand, he confessed.

PoliticsVP Osinbajo Was In Onitsha Yesterday... Here's Gov Obiano's Speech In 52 Tweets by sweetsandy4luv(op): 4:31pm On Apr 13, 2018
VP Osinbajo was in Onitsha yesterday... Here's Gov Obiano's Speech in 52 Tweets

.... Welcome to our Finest Hour

Protocol

1. On behalf of the good people of Anambra State, I welcome you all to the ancient city of Onitsha, the commercial capital of South East Nigeria.

2. We receive you and the ideas you have brought to our dear state with open hands and open hearts.

3. Anyi na asi unu nno nu o!

4. Ladies and gentlemen, I am personally happy to note that 25 days after I was sworn into office for my second term, we have gathered here to exchange ideas that will stimulate activities in the MSME sector in Anambra State.

5. In all sincerity, I could not have hoped for a better start to my second term.

6. This initiative is properly aligned to what my administration has done with commitment in the past four years.

7. So, I must thank the Federal Government for the vision behind this initiative and the decision to hold this clinic in Anambra State at this moment in time.

8. Your Excellency, when my team and I assumed office four years ago, we had our work cut out for us.

9. The people of this great state had waited for so long to see a clear roadmap to greatness.

10. We knew that history had placed the responsibility of laying a solid foundation for the prosperity of our beloved state on our shoulders.

11. So, we quickly applied ourselves to the brass task of governance and drafted Vision and Mission Statements to guide our activities and decisions.

12. We declared that our Vision is to be ‘the first choice investment destination and hub for industrialization and commercial activities.’

13. We also declared that our Mission is to ‘create a socially stable, business-friendly environment that will attract indigenes and foreigners to seek wealth-creating opportunities.’

14. We swiftly moved on to provide the desired security environment to drive our vision and today Anambra is widely acknowledged as Nigeria’s safest state.

15. This achievement has had a tremendous influence on investor-confidence, leading to the attraction of investments valued at five billion US dollars to Anambra State.

16. Ladies and gentlemen, we have made a great impact so far on this trajectory.

17. And we shall continue on it till we create a buoyant sub-national economy that has enough capacity to absorb the infinite potentials of our people.

18. This is the thinking that informed the creation of the Anambra Small Business Agency (ASBA) which was formed to ensure the establishment of a structured and efficient hub for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises that will enhance the sustainable economic development of Anambra State.

19. ASBA’s immediate Vision is to facilitate easy access to resources for MSME entrepreneurs to achieve the sustainable economic development of Anambra State.

20. Since it came into existence ASBA has continued to fulfil the grand objectives that led to its formation; serving as a catalyst to the industrial dreams of our people and breathing life into many MSMEs.

21. There is so much that ASBA has achieved but I shall return to it later.

22. At this moment, I want to draw attention to the peculiar character traits of Onye Anambra to clearly underscore why we need the support of the Federal Government.

23. Your Excellency, Ladies and gentlemen, to understand the promise of Anambra State, we must first understand the manifest capacities of our people; our industrious nature, our can-do spirit, our courage in the face of adversity and our legendary hatred of failure.

24. These are some of the qualities behind our drive for excellence, our readiness to take charge of our lives, become independent and carve out a new path for ourselves by starting a business.

25. All these attributes also make our beloved Anambra State the most fertile breeding ground for MSMEs in Nigeria.

26. These are also the qualities that should convince the Federal Government to design a special Industrial Master Plan for Anambra State that will unlock the creative genius of our people to contribute more significantly to the industrial quest of Nigeria.

27. After all, if Anambra could give Nigeria the likes of Innoson, Chikason, Ibeto, Coscharis and several other industrialists who emerged on their own without government or institutional support or incentive...

28... it is only left to the imagination what this state can produce if the Federal Government decides to support us with a clearly developed and sustainable industrial plan.

29. I do not have the slightest doubt that Anambra State can give Nigeria the industrial and technological foundation that will leapfrog the country to a truly emerging Start-up economy. Your Excellency, this is a Promise!

30. Your Excellency sir, a look at the sterling achievements of the Anambra Small Business Agency (ASBA) in the past four years will provide an insight into what Anambra can offer.

31. The Agency has competently handled the disbursement of the One Billion Naira Retail Lending Facility for Small and Medium Enterprises to catalyse the growth of over 200 SMEs and create over 1,500 direct jobs and 10,000 indirect jobs in Anambra State.

32. The Agency also saw to the effective disbursement of One Billion Naira Micro Credit Lending to market women, farmers, women cooperatives, artisans and youth entrepreneurs in Anambra State.

33. In all, ASBA has provided crucial credit facilities to 7,000 MSMEs in Anambra State and created 10,000 direct jobs and an estimated 35,000 indirect jobs in the past four years. Your Excellency, I think this is significant progress.

34. As you can see, Your Excellency, we are doing our very best in Anambra State at the moment, but we urgently need the critical support of the Federal Government to bring out the fighting spirit of our people.

35. We have designed a few programmes for which we are asking for the support of the Federal Government to nurture them to maturity for the benefit of our people.

36. They include -
1. The construction of Technological Parks that will serve as Start-up Hubs in the three senatorial zones of the state. These parks shall be fully equipped with a captive power supply and free internet services that will enable them function as true technological incubation centres.

37.
2. The establishment of Industrial Clusters in the three senatorial zones of the state to serve as centres for the adaptation of technology where automobile parts, agricultural machineries, foundries and industrials machines can be fabricated.

38.
3. The construction of a Textile and Leather Products Industrial Cluster in Ogbunike and finally Your Excellency,

39.
4. We need the assistance of the Federal Government to set up an MSME Incubation and Support Academy that will provide critical knowledge in the area of business ideation and management, financial literacy, marketing, branding, bookkeeping as well as research and development.

40. Your Excellency sir, before I end this address, I must commend the Federal Government, Your Excellency, the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Hon Haj Maryam Uwais, the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investments for ensuring the admission of Anambra State into the Social Investment Programmes of the Federal Government at inception.

41. I must say that these programmes formed part of our Economic Stimulus Package which helped Anambra State to survive the biting pangs of recession.

42. Indeed, I must further observe that today, no fewer than one hundred and twenty two thousand children are fed daily under the School Feeding Programme by a total of one thousand and forty caterers in one thousand and sixty schools across the twenty local government areas in the state.

43. Similarly, under the N-Power Programme, 14, 209 Anambra youths have been employed to support the state in agriculture, health, education and other key sectors.

44. Last but not the least, under the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, 3,086 elderly citizens are paid a monthly stiped of N10,000 each in six Local Government Areas of the state, including Awka North, Dunukofia, Ayamelum, Anambra East, Orumba North and Ihiala Local Government Area.

45. We are most grateful to Your Excellency for all these initiatives. They have benefitted our people immensely and we pray for more in the coming days.

46. In conclusion Your Excellency, Ladies and Gentlemen, the economy of Anambra State is on the runway, taxiing to take off.

47. We have done the best we can possibly do as a state government, using the institutional approach through ASBA.

48. However, we need the formidable financial strength and institutional might of the Federal Government to enhance our efforts and multiply the benefits to the greater number of our people.

49. We have cleaned up our state and flung our doors open to more investors and new business ideas.

50. Our hands are wide open to receive new partners and new dream merchants.

51. I assure you that any investment in Anambra State is not only secure but also guaranteed to give rapid returns.

52. Once again, I welcome you all to Anambra
State.

Dalunu!

PoliticsNigeria Suffering From Bitter Politics Heal Her - Obiano Beg Christians by sweetsandy4luv(op): 12:51pm On Apr 01, 2018
Nigeria suffering from bitter politics heal her this Easter with love as you celebrate governor Obiano tells Nigerians
Source:https://www.newsflashngr.com/nigeria-suffering-from-bitter-politics-heal-obiano-beg/

The Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano says Nigeria is simmering with bitter politics, calling on Christians to use the power of love to heal the nation.

Obiano, in an Easter message signed on his behalf by his Chief Press secretary, James Eze, said, “It has been repeatedly proven that true national integration is never forced upon the people by the political leadership but mostly by the little acts of love and kindness that are freely exchanged between the ordinary citizens of the country.”

He called on Nigerian Christians to heal the country with Love this Easter in commemoration of the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ to mankind as symbolized by the feast of Easter.

Obiano said, “The country simmers with bitter politics, rancour and mutual suspicion which can only be healed by unconditional love.

“I urge Christians to seize the opportunity offered by Easter to reach out and touch their fellow Nigerians with love.”

Obiano said as true followers of Christ, Nigerian Christians “should provide leadership in our country’s quest for peace, turning their swords into ploughshares in the truest traditions of Christianity”.

Governor Obiano further observed that in a country split by growing ethnic and religious intolerance, Christians have a great opportunity to live out the creeds of their faith, showing their actual value through their work in response to the scriptural reminder that ‘faith without work is dead.’

“As Christians, we must let the light of Christ shine in us always, showing restraint when provoked, demonstrating tolerance when rejected and showing sacrificial love in the midst of hatred.
“Whenever we find ourselves at the crossroads of life, we must never fail to ask ourselves, ‘what would Christ have done if he were in our position?” the governor added.

He assured the people of Anambra of a peaceful Easter celebration, disclosing that he had just donated 40 utility trucks to the security agencies as part of the elaborate plans by his administration to tighten the screws on security across Anambra State.

He called on indigenes in Nigeria and in the diaspora to feel free to visit home to re-unite and celebrate Easter with their families and loved ones because Anambra remains Nigeria’s safest state.

Comprising of members from all the political parties, the Lagos State Coordinator, Prince Lanre Osundairo at the end of the inaugural meeting of the group in Ikeja on Sunday said the country needed the former number two man owing to the vast political contacts across the length and breadth of the country would steer the country to the proverbial promise land.

Osundairo who is a chieftain of the main opposition party, the PDP praised Atiku as perhaps the best prepared for the job and that Nigerians should give him the opportunity to lead them, saying voting for the former Vice President amounts to a new dawn for the country.

Addressing the media shortly after the meeting, which lasted for two hours, Osundairo stated that “As you can see, most of the people you see here are not politicians but people who have genuine love for the former Vice President.

I admit that some of us are politicians but the propelling rationale for being members of this movement is for us to ensure that our principal assumes the mantle of leadership of the country.”

On the scope of the new group, he stated that “We are putting in place a viable platform for all Nigerians who love the Waziri of Adamawa to come together to demonstrate our love for Alhaji Atiku by canvassing for votes for him at the grassroots.”

Commenting on some of the allegations that continued to dodge the aspiration of the former Vice President, Osundairo stated that Atiku has thrown the gauntlet to whoever is making such allegations to come forward with proof, adding that “since nobody has come up with any of such, the allegations are mere beer parlour rumours to tarnish Atiku’s image.”

The Lagos State Secretary of the group, Dr. Kayode Ojutiku stated that the process of wooing residents of the state to join in the movement has been smooth owing to the respect that the Adamawa State born politicians commands amongst Nigerians.

PoliticsEkiti Govt. Slams 19-count Charge Of Stealing N4.9bn, Others On Fayemi by sweetsandy4luv(op): 3:26pm On Jan 28, 2018
Probe Panel Indictment: Ekiti Govt. Slams 19-Count Charge Of Stealing N4.9bn, Others On Fayemi

Less than two weeks after releasing a white paper on the report of the Justice Silas Oyewole Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the Finances of Ekiti State during the administration of the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi as governor of Ekiti State, the State government has filed criminal charges of corruption against Fayemi and his Finance Commissioner, Mr Dapo Kolawole.

The 19-count charge HAD/05c/2018, in which Fayemi and Kolawole were accused of stealing, abuse of office, criminal contempt, among others was filed before the State High Court, Ado Ekiti on Friday, January
26, 2018.

Fayemi and his Finance Commissioner were accused of misappropriating the sum of N4.9 billion being the proceeds of Ekiti State Bond for the sum of N20 billion earmarked in the Bond Prospectus for various projects in the State that were either not done or partly done.

While releasing the white paper on January 15, 2018, the government had directed that the state’s Ministry of Justice should institute appropriate legal action(s) against Fayemi and others adding that Fayemi and his Finance Commissioner should be made to account for the whereabouts of the fund allocated to projects in the N25 billion Bond Prospectus, which were either not executed or partly executed.

Count 12 of the criminal charge, which bordered on conspiracy to steal and punishable under Section 516 of the Criminal Code law, Cap C. 16 Laws of Ekiti State, 2010 reads; “That you Dr John Kayode Fayemi and Mr Vincent Dapo Kolawole, while holding the offices of the Executive Governor of Ekiti State of Nigeria and Commissioner for Finance respectively, sometime between 2011 and 2014, within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court, conspired to steal the sum of N2,750,000,000.00 (N2.75 billion) being the sum of money earmarked in the Bond Prospectus titled; ‘Ekiti State Government of Nigeria, Offer for Subscription of N20,000,000,000 (N20 billion).

14.5% Fixed rate Bond Due 2018 Under the Ekiti State Government of Nigeria N25,000,000,000.00 Bond Issuance Programme ‘ and released for the construction of Ultra-Modern Market in Ekiti State, which you never built; and thereby committed an offence.”

Also on the N25 billion bond, Fayemi and Kolawole were accused of stealing the sum of N716,688,790.92 out of the N750 million earmarked in the Bond Prospectus and released for the construction of Ekiti State School of Agriculture out of which only N33.311,209.08 was allegedly spent, N198,860,023.00 being outstanding fund from the N500 million earmarked in the Bond Prospectus and released for the construction of Ekiti State Liaison Office in Lagos, out of which only N301,139,977 was expended for the said construction.

Furthermore, out of the N767, 970,167.47 earmarked in the Bond Prospectus and released for the renovation of Governor’s Office, only N87, 622,912.25 was spent, leaving outstanding sum of N681, 347,255.22. For the renovation of Ado Ekiti Water Works, N335.5 million was earmarked and released while only N155, 523,558 was spent, leaving outstanding sum of N197, 979,441.77 and N468.6 million
earmarked for construction of Ero Water Works, which was not done.
Fayemi and Kolawole were also charged with criminal contempt for refusing to appear before the Judicial Commission of Inquiry, an offence punishable under Section 13 of the Commission of Inquiry Law, Cap C. 10, Laws of Ekiti State, 2010, Section 126(2) of the Criminal Code laws, Cap C. 16, Laws of Ekiti State, 2010 and Criminal Contempt punishable under Section 133 of the same criminal code.

It should be recalled that the Ekiti State government banned the duo of Fayemi and Kolawole from holding public office in the State for 10 years, for their refusal to appear before the Commission of Inquiry, even after the determination of the case challenging the inauguration of the commission of inquiry before the Ekiti State High Court.

“Government views accountability and probity as the hallmark of good governance. Therefore, the government decided to set up the Judicial Panel of Inquiry in line with its law enacted in 2012.

“Both Dr Fayemi and Mr Kolawole are recommended as unfit to hold any public office in the state for their refusal to appear before the Commission of Inquiry. Their disrespect to the constituted authority and the undignified roles they played in the whole contracts saga which were obviously against the interest of the state they were supposed to protect. They should be barred from holding public office for a specified period,” the white paper read.

While submitting its report on December 13, 2017, the Judicial Commission of Inquiry had said that the former governor must account for the whereabouts of a sum of N2.75 billion allocated from the N25 billion bond obtained by the government for the execution of contract for the construction of Ultra-Modern market in Ado Ekiti, which was never executed.

The commission of inquiry also said that the contractor in respect of the furnishing of the government house built by the Fayemi’s administration should be made to refund a sum of N324.8 million, noting that the contract should not have been more than N280 million.

The panel said it found out that KITWOOD Nigeria Limited to which the furnishing contract of over N600 million was awarded had no traceable address and that “the address on the Letter of Award is a virgin land
at opposite the new Central Bank along new Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti.

On the purchase of vehicles, the panel said “claim by Coscharis Motors that it supplied 235 and/or 250 vehicles was fraudulent and that fraught with so many contradictions.

“That Coscharis Motors supplied some vehicles outside Ekiti State especially, at Ibadan Liaison office when Ekiti State Government does not have a Liaison office in Ibadan. In respect of this, seven vehicles were supplied outside the State and signed for by unknown persons.

PoliticsAPC Blasts Wike – Stop Hiring Abia, Imo And Northern Emirs For 2019 Endorsement by sweetsandy4luv(op): 9:06am On Jan 26, 2018
*Queries the Release of N5b for Mobilisation of Obas and Emirs for Further Endorsements

Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) in a press statement issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM on Thursday in Port Harcourt by Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, the Media Consultant to Dr Davies Ibiamu Ikanya the State Chairman of Rivers APC to Media Organisations, opinion leaders and the public blasted Governor Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike of Rivers State for spending a whopping sum of one billion Naira (N1b) of Rivers State money to hire two different groups (non indigenes and women groups) last weekend to endorse him for his unmerited second term bid.

The opposition party in Rivers State said that Gov. Wike spent five hundred million Naira (N500M) to hire non indigenes who are not resident in Rivers State from Abia, Imo and Akwa Ibom States to march to the Rivers State Government House in order to endorse him for an unmerited second term in office while he has refused to pay the six months salaries owed to the Rivers State Civil servants and arrears of pension owed to our Pensioners.

The APC in the same vein queries the rationale behind the Governor wasting another whopping sum of five hundred million Naira to hire women from Bayelsa and Delta States, and presented them as Rivers State women to endorse him to continue to exhibit his mediocrity in governance.

The party supporting the above stand quoted the press statement issued by the Hausa community in Rivers State through their leader, Alh. Saidu Musa. The community in the press statement scolded Governor Wike for claiming that the Hausa communities was among the hired non indigenes from outside the State that endorsed him.

According to the Hausa Community resident in Rivers State in their press statement titled, “2019… Hausa community disassociates itself from Wike’s endorsement” stated, “that the Hausa community in Rivers State has political and administrative structures headed by both traditional institutions and other leaders of thought and that none of the bodies were consulted to mobilise their community to endorse Wike.

The statement further explained, “So we have not endorsed Governor Wike for 2019. If there is any need for that the entire leadership of Hausa community will meet and take decision accordingly. We therefore called on the public to disregard such endorsement saying that Hausa community in Rivers State is yet to take decision on who to support in 2019”

In agreement with the Hausa community, the Igbos, the Akwa Ibomites and Cross Riverians, the Igalas, the Tivs, the Ibibios, the Yoruba’s and other ethnic nationalities residing in Rivers State have jointly and separately denounced Wike for linking them with his desperate attempt to fool the outside world that his misrule and draconian policies of promoting insecurity in Rivers State is popular and acceptable to the people of Rivers State.

The Chairman of South East Miyetti Allah cattle breeders, Alhaji Gidado Sadeeq has declared a 23-year old cattle herder, Shehu Issah, in Aguleri, Anambra State, missing.
Source:https://www.newsflashngr.com/breaking-serious-tension-in-anambra-state-right-now-over-missing-cattle-herder-see-whats-happening-now/
Alhaji Gidado Sadeeq NEWSFLASHNGR.COM understands said two cows under Issah's guide were killed in the community while others returned without the herder.

Sadeeq said the situation had created tension in the area, while stating that the police and the Department of State Service averted an attack on some other cattle herders by the host community.

"My people are now afraid of an imminent attack. It's unfortunate that this is happening.

“It’s unfortunate that the host community are not keeping to the agreement reached between the security, Anambra state government and the herdsmen", Sadeeq stated.

Our correspondent gathered that as a result of the development security had been beefed up in the community which incidentally is Governor Willie Obiano's home town.

When contacted on the telephone, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Nkeiruka Nwode said the matter had not been brought to her knowledge.

She promised she would get in touch with the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Otuocha, where the incident alleged occurred, and get back to our correspondent; but she never did as of the time of filing this report at 5.40pm.

About two weeks ago, a 23 year old farmer, who was identified simply as Atuanya was reportedly killed by herdsmen in neighbouring Anaku community in Ayamelum Local Government Area of the state.

The people of the area had called on the state government to curtail the incursion of herdsmen in the area or they would resort to defending themselves.

PoliticsFayose Declares – FG Reason For Withdrawing $1bn Excess Crude Is A Blatant Lie by sweetsandy4luv(op): 3:43pm On Dec 15, 2017
Fayose - FG Reason For Withdrawing $1bn Excess Crude Money Is To Fund Buhari’s 2019 Not To Fight Boko Haram

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described the decision to withdraw $1 billion from the Excess Crude Account to fight Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East region as a means by the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government to fund President Muhammadu
Buhari’s re-election in 2019.

“For posterity sake, I wish to place it on record that I was not among the governors, who approved the withdrawal of almost half of our savings in the Excess Crude Account, which belongs to the three tiers
of government to fight an already defeated insurgency,” he declared.

He made this comment in a statement issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM in Ado Ekiti on Friday, and signed by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said; “Since they said they have defeated Boko Haram, what else do they need a whopping sum of $1 billion (over N360 billion) for; if not to fund the 2019 elections?

“The APC promised to wipe out Boko Haram within six months, now it is 31 months and what the APC government is wiping out is the economy of Nigeria and the means of livelihood of the people,” Governor Fayose said.

The governor said N360 billion was equivalent to what the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) share to the federal government, 36 States and 774 Local Councils monthly, nothing that “Nigerians deserve proper explanations from the federal government on the rationale behind spending such huge sum of money to fight an already defeated Boko Haram.”

He challenged the federal government to make available to Nigerians, how the money released by international donors for the fight against Boko Haram was spent, adding that; “Even the Transparency International (TI) once said in its report that some top military officials in the country were feeding fat from the war against Boko Haram by creating fake contracts and laundering the proceeds in the United States, United Kingdom and elsewhere.”

The governor also alleged that the N50 billion kept by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in different commercial bank accounts outside the Treasury Single Account (TSA) on the directive of President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari was part of the fund being kept to fund President Buhari’s election in 2019.

Governor Fayose said; “Nigerians are alarmed by the revelation from the House of Representatives that President Buhari exempted NNPC from transferring N50 billion to the TSA, and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), confirmation that a letter issued by the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the president, Abba Kyari conveyed the directive.

“Also, they are miffed by the federal government’s idea of withdrawing $1 billion from the Excess Crude Account to fund an insurgency they said had been defeated.

“They went on to tell Nigerians that the decision was taken by governors of the 36 States, whereas, it was solely the idea of the federal government, which they used the arranged National Executive Council meeting to achieve.

“The question is; how can the federal government alone spend almost half of the Excess Crude money that belongs to the three tiers of government (i.e. Federal Government, States and Local Councils)?

“The reality is that our treasury is daily being looted in readiness for the 2019 elections. Nigerians are therefore alerted to this lootings by the APC led federal government to amass huge fund for the
2019 elections under the pretense of fighting insurgency in the Northeast as well as other dubious means.”

Radda stated this in Awka, Anambra State during the flag off of empowerment of young business owners in Anambra State, NEWSFLASHNGR.COM reports.

While urging them to make the best of the window of opportunity opened by SMEDAN, the Director-General who was represented by the Southeast Zonal Coordinator of the Agency, Mr. Levi Anyikwa, said the sustenance of the Young Business Owners in Nigeria initiative was imperative for addressing the unemployment situation in the country.

He said 80 beneficiaries had been selected for a pilot project from each of the States.
He said,”The exercise is expected to cover all the States of the Federation in the next few years.
Radda said the empowerment programme had two components; enterprise management training and payment for workspaces for one year.
The DG added that the two components of the programme were part of the solutions designed by the Agency to mitigate business failures recorded by young business owners.

He noted that the training would sharpen the business management skills of the beneficiaries which would increase their performance while the payment for workspaces would reduce their financial burden and free some funds for daily operations.

He said,”The target beneficiaries of the programme are young people between the ages of 20-45 years. The goal is to create new opportunities for enterprise growth for start-ups and for employment.
“Selection criteria for beneficiaries include: technical capacities of the promoters, available raw materials, markets, available skills, access to appropriate technologies, among others

…Says militancy, kidnapping, oil bunkering and murder are ill-wind that blows nobody any good

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State, Prince Tonye Princewill has advised Nigerian youths and in particular the youths of Rivers State extraction to stay clear from all manners of crime as it will bring them regret in their life.
Source>>>>https://www.newsflashngr.com/princewill-tells-youths-militants-kidnapping-oil-bunkering-will-harm-good/

Prince Princewill who gave the advice in a statement signed and issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.com in Port Harcourt, Rivers state today was reacting to the recent joint security personnel operation between Nigerian security forces and a local vigilante group in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Council of Rivers State wherein human skulls, 1 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), 18 AK-47 Rifle Magazines, pairs of military camouflage, camouflage T-Shirts, Fabrique Nationale (FN) Rifle magazines, 39 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition, 20 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 1 round of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition amongst other items were recovered at Mr. Igwedibia Johnson’s (A.K.A Don Waney) home.

He noted that militancy, kidnapping, oil bunkering, murder or wanton beheading of any person for whatever reason is an ill-wind that blows nobody any good.
“Militancy, kidnapping, oil bunkering, murder or wanton beheading of any person for whatever reason is an ill-wind that blows nobody any good. These crimes have grave consequences, not only on the perpetrators, but also on the state and nation’s economy and is capable of driving away potential investors who would have loved to invest in the state, thereby demarketing the state and nation’s economy” said Princewill.

He stressed that engagement in crime often times lead to a disastrous ending of the perpetrators accompanied by regret, sorrow and sadness and advised the youths who would rather take crime as a means of livelihood to turn a new leaf.

“Crime eventually breeds regret, sorrow and sadness especially when individuals or groups involved in it are caught by security personnel. It is therefore wise for such persons to turn over a new leaf and engage any genuine and legal endeavour for their sustenance” Princewill further counselled.

He commended the security agents and people of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni for their efforts in the successful operation and urged them not to rest on their oars until crime and criminality is drastically reduced.

“Any true lover of Rivers state should ask if their actions are causing peace or or pain. What goes around comes around. You reap what you sow. It’s biblical. Let over ambitious politicians not lead you by the nose. Their children do not carry guns. Why should you?” he said.

PoliticsSad News: Governor Willie Obiano Mourns Dr. Alex Ekwueme by sweetsandy4luv(op): 9:27am On Nov 20, 2017
The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano has described the demise of the former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme as a huge loss to Nigeria.

Reacting to the news of the death from his Aguleri country home where he had gone to mark his victory in the last Saturday’s election with his family, Governor Obiano said that he was yet to come to terms with the reality of Dr Ekwueme’s death as it was hard to contemplate the void that his passage has created.

“A great iroko has fallen. Nigeria has lost a statesman. Ndigbo have lost an illustrious son. Anambra has lost a father. But I have lost both a father and a friend. I have lost a mentor. This is a big loss on all fronts,” the Governor declared.

Narrating the direct influence the late statesman had had on him, Governor Obiano further said, “I was close to Dr Ekwueme. I sought his advice on so many things and he was always ready to help.

He attended every major event we have held in the past three years in our efforts to make Anambra a better place. You always knew where you stood with him on any issue. His death is a big personal loss to me,” Governor Obiano explained.

The governor further lamented that the elder statesman passed away at a trying period in the life of the nation when his bridge-building talent was most needed.
Describing him as the “architect” of a balanced Nigeria, Governor Obiano observed that only few Nigerians living or dead could match Dr Ekwueme’s contributions to a fair and just federation in the nation’s seemingly endless search for peace and equity.

He pointed out that even in his last days, Dr Ekwueme fought gallantly to ensure that equity prevailed in his home state of Anambra, speaking out fearlessly in favour of sustaining the geopolitical balance that has entrenched peace in the state.

“Dr Ekwueme’s life is an open book that should inspire generations of Nigerians who need a beacon to guide them into evolving as true patriots who are willing to make sacrifices for the greatness of the country. He is an icon whose place is assured in our hearts in Anambra State,” Governor Obiano further observed.

According to him, Dr Ekwueme’s legacy would never die because whenever the story of modern Nigeria is told, Alex Ekwueme’s name would be remembered.

“I wish to express my deepest condolences to the illustrious Ekwueme family and the people of Oko, his home town and to Ndi Anambra in general. Ndonu Ndi Anambra. I pray that God Almighty will give us the fortitude to bear this grave loss,” Governor Obiano further added.

PoliticsAnambra 2017 Guber: CNPP Hails Obiano’s Victory,commends INEC, Security Agencies by sweetsandy4luv(op): 6:45pm On Nov 19, 2017
The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has hailed the re-election of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State in last Saturday’s governorship election in the state and gave a thumb up to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a job well done.
Source>>>>https://www.newsflashngr.com/anambra-2017-guber-cnpp-hails-obianos-victory-commends-inec-security-agencies/

CNPP also commended the people of the state for conducting themselves peacefully and in an orderly manner despite the number of political parties that fielded candidates during the polls.

In a statement signed and issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM by the Secretary General of the Conference, Chief Willy Ezugwu, the umbrella body of all political parties and political associations in the country urged INEC to sustain the “level playing field it ensured in Anambra State up to 2019 and beyond.

“For us, the people has spoken and the voice of the people is loud and clear in Anambra State and we urge the candidates to continue to embrace themselves even now that the election is over.

“We rejoice with Governor Willie Obiano on his reelection for a second tenure. We urge him to use this opportunity to build lasting bridges and extend a warm hand of fellowship to his brothers and sisters who contested against him with a view to harmonising the huge human and material resources in the state maximally in his next four years in order to do more for Anambrarians.

“We commend the electoral umpire, INEC, for maintaining proven fairness and impartiality all through the now concluded electoral process in Anambra with the declaration of Chief Willie Obiano as the duly elected governor of the state”, the CNPP said.

Also commending all security agencies, including the Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian intelligence community and others for maintaining the peace, law and order as well as taking a non-interference posture from the beginning of the process to the end, the CNPP advised them to “extend the same neutrality to the 2019 general election to deepen democracy in the country.”

“Given the process to this election, there is hope for all political parties in Nigeria ahead of the 2019 general election if the security agencies can maintain the level of maturity and professionalism in managing security issues in the build up to the polls”, the CNPP said.

PoliticsIPOB Worldwide Gives Reasons Why Biafrans Must Lock Down Anambra State On 18th by sweetsandy4luv(op): 4:20pm On Nov 16, 2017
IPOB Worldwide Gives Reasons Why Biafrans Must Lock Down Anambra State On Election day

Source>>>https://www.newsflashngr.com/poll-ipob-worldwide-gives-reasons-biafrans-must-lock-anambra-state-18th-november-2017/

The worldwide family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it's leadership, under the supreme command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu NEWSFLASHNGR.com report, consider it imperative to reinstate the reasons why Biafrans have decided to lock down Anambra State on the 18th of November 2017 and never to participate in any fraudulent elections organised by INEC until a date for referendum on Biafra is set.

It is patently clear to all that since the return to what can best be described as the Arewa dominated militocracy in 1999, we Biafrans have been voting with nothing to show for it till date. In fact, the whole electoral exercise in Nigeria is as fraudulent as Nigeria itself.

INEC is anything but independent. People can campaign and electioneer all they like, Aso Rock decides who gets appointed into political office.

Our votes don't count and will never count. Those participating in elections in Nigeria under the crazy militaristic Northern constitution drawn up by a Northern Islamic military head of state Abdulsalami Abubakar for the benefit of the Muslim North are either ignorant of what democracy entails or they are guilty of engaging in willful hypocrisy.

Nigeria runs a very corrupt quasi military feudalism modeled on the subservient ethos of the Hausa Fulani traditional emirate system of governance.

That we call rulers of states in Nigeria governors or the fact they belong to political parties with stipulated tenure in office doesn't remove the fact that they are in effect glorified Emirs answering to the new Sultanate Aso Rock instead of Sokoto. What obtains in Nigeria is not democracy, electioneering or voting, what we have is a carefully choreographed display of primitively nauseating politics of the jungle.

No reasonable person can point to a singular benefit of the much trumpeted dividend of democracy till date.

Even the emergence of Buhari at the ballot box was characterised by such brazen rigging by 4 year olds in the North that Western election observers were repulsed to conclude that it would be better and less shameful not to mention it. This is the same electoral climate you expect IPOB, the children of light to participate in.

It is on record and well documented that during the electioneering campaign in 2014 that brought Chief Willie Obiano to power, our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu went on air on Radio Biafra during the eve of election broadcast to urge Biafrans to keep APC Islamic Party out of Biafraland by voting for Obiano's APGA.

Radio Biafra extended the usual 3 hour evening program to 5 hours to ensure that every nook and cranny of Anambra State was saturated with the message of keep APC out.

But what did Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB get in return for campaigning door to door and getting Obiano elected? Yes, we got massacre after massacre, killing after killing, detention without trial, one Northern Islamic military operation after another.

We committed no crime, we did not kill anybody but that did not stop Obiano from liaising with the murderers in Aso Rock to kill our people.

Ask Obiano today what crime did IPOB commit to warrant such heavy handed persecution and he would tell you nothing. Obiano felt that the best way to prove his One Nigeria credentials and loyalty to the Caliphate is by ordering the killing of the same people that campaigned and voted him into power.

The killing of IPOB family members in Anambra State started on August 30, 2015 at Uga Junction by Atani Road Onitsha, then on the 2nd and 17th of December 2015 at Head Bridge Onitsha, May 29 and 30 at Nkpor in Idemili North during the celebration and remembrance of our fallen heroes and heroines which resulted in mass burial of our people by the Nigerian Army inside the grounds of Onitsha Military Barracks.

Obiano rewarded the military at Onitsha barracks by donating new vehicles and equipments to them to thank them for a job well done. IPOB did nothing to provoke Obiano, only if you consider evangelism as a security threat.

Willie Obiano turned back and bit the finger that fed him at time of need. These are the same people asking us today to go and vote for them again, as if we are dumb and stupid.

Any political party using the name of IPOB or our leader to curry favour with the masses by claiming we are supporting him is only deceiving the people. Our leader made it clear in countless rallies and interviews before soldiers stormed his house and took him away, that Anambra elections must be boycotted at all cost.

Successful boycott of Saturday's elections will register our displeasure towards the attitude of politicians in the South East especially and Biafraland at large.

Over the years, we have been told repeatedly to hold our politicians to account, we have therefore selected 18 November 2017 as a perfect date and setting to let the world know how disappointed we are in all of them.

It will mark the beginning of a silent revolution that will usher in a new era of freedom and accountability, not just for Biafrans, but for all component ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.

IPOB cannot participate in an electoral process where Aso Rock through INEC simply compile their own r figures and declare whoever they like winner. Such political banditry will end in Nigeria on Saturday.

It is therefore in the interest of democracy, good governance and accountability that all right thinking and courageous people join IPOB to cleanse the political landscape by boycotting elections in Anambra State on Saturday 18 November 2017.

If other nationalities in Nigeria wake up to realise what IPOB have discovered, that power does indeed reside with the people and boycott all future elections, it will trigger a constitutional crisis that will lead to a renegotiated and people oriented governing constitution for Nigeria.

This is simple common sense. Waiting for the same corrupt, lazy, oil dependent, repressive government of mediocrity to change their ways by voting for every four years, is nothing short of delusion.

The more you vote, the more they take you for granted. Enough is enough, let the revolution to free the enslaved masses begin this Saturday.

IPOB will only allow voting in Biafraland if and when a referendum date is agreed to determine the fate of Biafra independence. We the people are demanding freedom and freedom we must have.

PoliticsIf Tony Nwoye Fails Hold Me Responsible- Legal Icon, Oguejiofor Tells The People by sweetsandy4luv(op): 6:42pm On Nov 14, 2017
There’s going to be more than fair share of democracy dividends to all communities in Anambra state if Dr Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is elected as the next governor of the state this Saturday.

Source>>>https://www.newsflashngr.com/tony-nwoye-fails-hold-responsible-legal-icon-oguejiofor-tells-ndi-anambra/

The assurance was given with a firm promise not to fail the electorates by Dr Nwoye himself during a campaign rally at the Abatete Civic Centre at the weekend. While lamenting the ugly state of roads, non-provision of boreholes, healthcare facilities, erosion control measures and agriculture impute, promised to change the scenario when elected.

Nwoye who was hosted by the stakeholders in the community led by a very notable legal luminary -Chief Chuma Oguejiofor, Chief Tony Chukwuelue and the leaders of the Abatete Political Platform led by Chief Zevis Emecheta expressed.

In this exclusive chat, Chief Chuma Oguejiofor, a legal icon and son of Abatete urged the community to embrace Nwoye in view of the fact that all their support for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has yielded them nothing good but complete neglect.

He thumbed his chest assuring of Nwoye's ability to deliver. He even committed them to hold him responsible if they vote Nwoye and he fails to deliver.

In the same vein, Chukwuelue assured that his knowledge of Nwoye transcends politics and that the candidate is a man of his words. He therefore appealed to the people to give him full and maximum votes.

Emecheta, as the leader of the non-partisan political platform sought for an assurance to carry the community along in practical terms when supported.

Chief Oguejiofor here below responds to questions from journalists on the response by Nwoye and reason he chose to participate in political matters unlike in the past.

Excerpts:

Q: Sir you hosted the APC governorship candidate today. Surprisingly you had never come this close to politicians of their activities. What made you change this time?

That is true. I have to be here because of Dr Tony Nwoye. I met the young man about nine years ago and I saw something different in him. Ever since, I have remained his lawyer. If you are conversant with the Nigeria law reports NWLR pt 1446, you will see Chris Kato Vs Tony Nwoye(Supreme Court).

I took his matter from the Federal High Court which we won for him to represent Anambra East/West Federal Constituency. At the Court of Appeal we won, but lost at the Supreme Court.
But I encouraged him as a young man to go and prepare again, that age was on his side.

He came back during the last general election and we followed it up with a victory at the Election Tribunal and at the Court of Appeal the victory was affirmed. That is why he is in the National Assembly today.

I have been closely associated with his political odyssey.

Q: Many communities have been lamenting over lack of democracy dividends. What do say about Abatete?

When Tony Nwoye was driving down to my house this afternoon, he was filled with lamentation because of the terrible state of our roads. In law there something we call reps ipsa loquito-meaning, let the thing speak for itself.

So, in as much as am not castigating anybody, but was it not the late legend Hubert Ogunde that called on his kinsmen, saying 'Yoruba ronu'. Use your sense and make choice of what is good for you.
The guarantee I gave my Abatete brothers and sisters was that if they vote Nwoye in and he fails to perform, that they should hold me responsible!

Don't you think that it's a very serious commitment?

Yes it is. Am not a politician and had never indulged in political programmes. But this time around, in this issue of Nwoye, am involved; very involved. I know that he's not involved in politics because of the mercantile benefits.

I trust him. When you encounter him, he talks, breathes and exudes politics. Yes, no one can pretend to be proficient in what he knows nothing about. Talk about the law, yes, am game. But for politics, that young man knows it. And he knows that the only way to make a mark in politics is to deliver services to the people when you are elected.

Ok. In all these what is the priority challenge and need of Abatete that they want fixed?

Personally and to an extent for the larger members of my community, in this compound, am lucky to have a borehole that runs all year round, you can see the electric generating set supplies that light. But on the issue of road construction, its capital intensive and challenging. So I think a good well paved road network is the number one priority need of my people.

If you go to neighbouring communities like Alor, they had former Gov Chris Ngige who lifted the community up in terms of roads. And where he stopped, Dr Emeka Eze took it up and did wonderfully well. It you go to Oraukwu, they are trying through communal effort.

But you cannot compare them with Alor. Then if you go to Ideani, I think Abatete is better in terms of road network. Our main challenge is good road network.

Q: As the people prepare to file out on Saturday to cast their votes, what advice do you have for them?

Yes, many have been going round peddling all sorts of propaganda alleging that our APC representing Hausa oligarchy; and claiming that APGA is Nke anyi.

As far as I know Anambra people are very wise people who have go out and interacted with people. No one would shave my hair in my absence. I know what is good for me. And you say APGA bu Nke anyi. Ok, where is Nke Abatete?(Where is the share of Abatete?)

Or does Nke a bu Nke anyi a mere statement without purpose. Just like when we were kids and the meat in the meal was just one small one and our mother would significantly wave the tablet of mean in circular form round each of our little heads and then eat same "on our behalf", saying that once our mother has eaten she has done so on our collective behalf.

Times have actually changed and we must have our due share in tangible terms. If not for Dr Ngige, we would still be living like in the stone-age era, no roads, no lights and no jobs. We need the roads. We need jobs for our sons and daughters.

Q: Sadly you have some of your sons no daughters in government. Does it mean their opinion means nothing to the authorities?

That is the crux of the matter. Anambra state has a defined number of communities but there is nothing to show from the state government in the last three and half years. There is need for a change.

It is sad to imagine what those presently shouting Nke a bu Nke anyi tell potential voters to convince them. It is shameful to follow someone for three and half years and he did not remember you, yet you are still nursing belief he would remember you. It is doubtful. We need to take our destiny in our hands this time around.

PoliticsGovernor Obiano's Security Details Withdrawn 4 Days To Anambra Election by sweetsandy4luv(op): 5:57pm On Nov 14, 2017
The Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano on Monday said he was no longer comfortable standing for the November 18 governorship poll in the state.

He said his life was in danger as far as the poll was concerned, stressing that his security details had been withdrawn.

He said the withdrawal was ominous as it had exposed his life to eminent threat.
Obiano stated this in Awka during an election stakeholders' meeting organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

He described the act as unacceptable and dangerous.

NEWSFLASHNGR.com reports that the governor demands for the immediate return of his security details in order not to constitute further threats capable of overheating the polity, adding that he would fight back if nothing is done about it.

"I want my security details returned immediately because I am going to start a fight from there. I am the governor of Anambra state and all the paraphernalia of my office must be there.

"This is unacceptable and a sign of what will happen, those behind this would be disappointed because we are very ready for this election,."

According to the governor, he had wanted to speak with the Inspector General of police who was scheduled to be on the occasion, but said he had to voice it out at the event since he was not aware when IGP would come.

The governor had earlier complained of having not been accorded recognition by the moderator of the function when he walked in, despite several insistences.

But reacting, the National Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, said the event was a stakeholders' meeting, and as such no candidate would be accorded any special treatment regardless of his position.

He said the commission insisted on equal treatment of all candidates in the election and should not only have equal standing, but must be respected.

Speaking later, the Inspector General of police, Idris Mohammed, said the police decided to withdraw the policemen attached to politicians because of previous experiences where such cops worked for their “master".

He said movement would be restricted on the Election Day, assuring that the state would be adequately policed.
He said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Garba Umar, had been asked to step down for neutrality whiles his place another who had no affinity with state would take.

* We are bringing entirely new faces to conduct this election. We need your cooperation; we need your support. We are going to conduct 'stop and search;" we are going to raid some black sports," the IGP said.

PoliticsYou Are Crude, Hungry And Uncultured: FGGP Blasts Femi Fani-kayode by sweetsandy4luv(op): 11:45pm On Nov 12, 2017
A United Kingdom Based good governance group, The Forum for Good Governance and Probity (FGGP) has described the former Minister of Aviation and one of the court jesters of the defeated ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode as crude, witless and uncultured over the article he wrote where he described the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) as a ‘poisonous dwarf and unrepentant son of perdition’.

In a statement made available to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM by the President of the Forum, Mr Jacob Ogunseye, the former minster was described as a hungry and misguided individual that should not be accorded any respect and whose opinion should be considered irrelevant, thoughtless and irresponsible. Mr Fani Kayode is unduly angry in view of financial loopholes and drain holes presently being closed and blocked by the Buhari administration.

“The hunger-induced article released by Fani Kayode popularly known as Jonathan’s jester in the era of the PDP locusts, where he used the physical stature of the Professor as an assault was demeaning. It was crude and absolutely unexpected from the person of Mr Fani-Kayode who professes Christianity and believed in its teaching to use the attribute which only God can create as a means of assault on another fellow”.

“It was callous to have described Osinbajo as a liar when all he said was the truth and nothing but the truth. What evidence has Kayode acquired or provided to query the non withdrawal of the said amount for instance? Former President Goodluck Jonathan is alive; he should have left the ex-President to respond to such weighty allegations, but to our utter surprise, up till today, neither the former President nor any of his ex-senior ministers has considered it fit to issue a denial.

Ogunseye said that though FGGP expect all Nigerians to respect their leaders but since Mr Femi Fani-Kayode has chosen otherwise and toe the path of ignominy, he can pursue his course without any hindrance since we live in a democratic society.

“Mr Fani-Kayode should respect the office of the Vice President but since he has chosen otherwise, he is free to do so after all, he once referred to his today’s bosom friend as a “President without Balls’

It is obvious the attention seeking court jester, sickly and corruption-prone Fani-Kayode is up to nothing but recognition. He once said this about Goodluck Jonathan when his popularity was waning, “May God bring us a real leader that can save our nation and may He take away this one who feels no pain and has no empathy when Nigerian blood, nay even the blood of innocent children, is shed with impunity. Under the tenure of our “lamb” President, more innocent Nigerians have been slaughtered by terrorists than at any other time in the history of our country except during the civil war.”

“Nigerians should ignore the ignoble hatchet job of a jobless self ascribed leader like the Ife born ‘politrickian’, FGGP counsels.

FGGP would like to reiterate President Buhari’s call for Nigerians to exercise restraint, tolerance and mutual respect in airing any grievances and frustrations. Whilst the ongoing national discourse on various political issues is healthy and welcome, we must not forget the lessons of our past.

We believe that the vast majority of Nigerians are descent citizens that would rather tread the path of peace and prosperity, as we continue to uphold and cherish our Unity in Diversity.
