PoliticsBREAKING: Rivers State Commissioner Of Police Is Dead {must See} by sweetsandy4luv(op):
The Punch is reporting that Rivers State Police Commissioner Francis Bolaji Odesanya is dead. Read more…
Mr Odesanya was said to have died on Tuesday, January 31 morning at an unnamed hospital outside Nigeria after a brief illness.

According to Reports, quoting police sources, Odesanya died of kidney failure in an India hospital.

Vanguard quotes Rivers state Police spokesperson DSP Nnamdi Omoni as saying that though he has he heard the report, he was waiting for official confirmation from Force headquarters in Abuja.

Odesanya was the commissioner of police in Rivers state for just about six months after he was was transferred to the oil-rich south-south state in August 2016.

He took over from Foluso Adebanjo, who was elevated to the rank of a Deputy Inspector General of Police DIG after just few months in Rivers.

Late Odesanya joined the police on February 2, 1986 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent.

Recall that it was Odesanya that Rivers Governor Nyesome Wike accused of withdrawing his security detail on the orders of the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris in Abuja.

There were also reports late in 2016 that police authorities could sanction Odesanya for his role in the foiling of the arrest of a judge of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt by Wike.

The governor had blocked the arrest of the Judge by operatives of the DSS in the early hours of the fateful day and Odesanya was accused of helping the governor to carry out the act.

PoliticsEkiti Lawmakers Call Those Asking For Fayose’s Removal Jesters And Drunkards by sweetsandy4luv(op): 6:00pm On Jan 04, 2017
Ekiti Lawmakers Call Those Asking For Fayose’s Removal Jesters, Drunkard – Ask Them To Remove Buhari First [Must Read]

Ekiti State House of Assembly (EKHA) has described the Abuja group, Coalition for Good Governance and Anti-Corruption, which called on the National Assembly to invoke the doctrine of necessity to effect the impeachment of the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose as a group of jesters.

The House of Assembly, which reacted through the Speaker, Pastor Kola Oluwawole said “if not for their attempt at misleading the public by ascribing to themselves an underserved importance, the House would not have dignified the faceless group and its sponsors with any response, because they are ostensibly chasing shadows.”

The statement read; “For the avoidance of doubts, the Office of the Governor of Ekiti State as well of those of other governors in the country, is established in Part 2, Section 176 (1) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) for a period of four years herein called the term of office while Section 180 (1) listed all the conditions that can make an occupant to cease to hold the office as a Governor.

“Also, Section 189 (1) of the same Constitution listed the conditions under which a State governor can be removed through the House of Assembly of such State. Nowhere was it mentioned that the National Assembly has any role to play in the removal of a sitting governor.

“Also, nowhere was it stated that some drunkards can gathered after a binge night out and asked for the removal of a sitting and performing governor with executive powers as conferred by section 176 (2) of the constitution, using doctrine of necessity.

“Most importantly, the EKHA is saddled with the responsibility of oversight functions, particularly with powers on matters of evidence against any political office holders in Ekiti state inclusive of the Governor as enshrined in section 129 of the Nigerian constitution as
amended.

“These functions, we have carried out without fear or favour and with so much vigour in the overall interest of the people of Ekiti state.

“However, in carrying out our duties, nowhere and no time in Ekiti state will this present Assembly and the Executive be at loggerheads because we remain indivisible, inseparable and closely bounded, sharing the same umbilical cord with the Governor of Ekiti State, Dr
Ayodele Fayose.

“Therefore, those masquerading as activists in Abuja and calling for the removal of Governor Fayose are nothing but political jesters.

“Unfortunately they are speaking from Abuja and not from Ekiti, thus they have no jurisdiction to cry more than the bereaved in the first instance about government and governance in Ekiti State.”

"Those behind this faceless Abuja group are therefore informed that their agenda is dead on arrival. It is an impossible mission.

"However, should in case they are desperate at seeing the removal of any head of government, there is one at their backyard in Abuja, whose removal Nigerians are already clamouring for, having failed woefully to keep his electoral promises, but instead subjected Nigerians to hunger and deprivation, untoward hardships and tendency to dictatorship and
absolutism as well as flagrant disobedience to court orders.

"Lastly, for now and forever, let those behind the Abuja faceless group know that as far as the EKHA and the Ekiti People are concerned; On Fayose We Stand. No Apology."

CrimeNigerian Drug Dealer Breaks Out Of Jail In India Few Hours Of Deportation by sweetsandy4luv(op): 10:37am On Jan 04, 2017
A Nigerian drug peddler, John Okoro who had served a prison term and was a few hours from being deported has made a daring escape from the Anti-Narcotics Cell’s custody, Indian newspapers have reported.

Okoro, 35, had sought permission to step out of the detention room on the first floor of the agency’s Azad Maidan office around 2 a m, saying he wanted to use the toilet, and then jumped from the balcony. He crashed through the asbestos roof and fled on foot.

The constable guarding him also leaped from the balcony in a desperate attempt to nab him, but ended up injured. He is recovering at the Nagpada police hospital.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell’s Azad Maidan office is barely 15 feet from the local police station. The office shares a wall with the police’s station detection room. The Esplanade court is in the same compound.

Before his conviction, the 35-year-old Nigerian lived in Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai. After his prison sentence ended, he was placed under the ANC’s custody on December 31 and he was due to be deported on Monday afternoon.
“Around 2 am, Okoro told the constable on guard that he wanted to visit the washroom. He was being taken there when he jumped from the balcony. He landed on the asbestos roof, which immediately gave away,” a police officer said. “He ran in the directions of Mahapalika Marg.”

Another officer said a manhunt had been launched and the Anti-Narcotics Cell had asked informers to be on the lookout. Okoro was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and slippers.
Fresh charges stemming from his daring escape have been registered at the Azad Maidan police again.

PoliticsOsun Judge: Drag National Judicial Council To Court For CTC, CJN Tells CSCEOS by sweetsandy4luv(op): 1:58pm On Jan 03, 2017
The Chief Justice of Nigeria(CJN) through the apex body of bencher, the National Judicial Council(NJC) has advised the leadership and members of the civil group, the Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State(CSCEOS) to drag the body to the Court of competent jurisdiction for an order on its request for the” Certified True Copies” of the proceedings and recommendation of the Council in the trial of Hon. Justice Olamide Folahanmi Oloyede of the State High Court, before the Justice Ibrahim N. Auta led panel in 2016.

Source:>>>>http://www.newsflashngr.com/index.php/2017/01/03/osun-judge-drag-national-judicial-council-to-court-for-ctc-cjn-tells-csceos/

It would be recalled that the NJC in its 77th meeting, which held on July 15th, 2016, recommended that Honourable Justice Oloyede should be retired compulsorily, for daring to call for thorough and credible investigation into the alleged criminal mismanagement of Osun State Public funds by Mr. Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola between 2011 and 2015 which made the State to be leading States that could not pay her workers and retirees alike for period of eight (cool to ten (10) months at the material time.

According to the NJC's Letter dated 23rd of November, 2016 with Reference No:NJC/S.29/HC.OS/16/1/408 which was signed by its Secretary, Danladi Halilu,Esq.,OON on behalf of Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman, National Judicial Council(NJC) and forwarded to the Five(5) members of the Coalition who were witnessed during the proceedings of the matter.

The NJC's Letter titled:-"RE: NJC Vs Hon. Justice Oloyede.Application for CTC of Proceedings and recommendation", was sent to the Coalition members through their Lawyer, Barrister Kanmi Ajibola and the copy was made available to newsmen on Tuesday, they maintained that the Letter was received lately and the group had concluded arrangement to file a mandamus application before the Federal High Court to get an order, requesting the Certified True Copy (CTC) as being directed by the NJC.

The Letter reads in part; "Reference your letter dated 15th, August, 2016 on the subject matter. I have been directed to inform you that by the practice of Council, on Record of Proceedings or recommendation of Council are released to the Complainant or Petitioner or Subject Judge or Witnesses or any Institution, save by an order of the Court, please".

The group through its Lawyer,Barrister Ajibola had earlier sent a letter dated 15th August, 2016 to the Council authority, requesting that “We have instruction of our client to apply for the Certified True Copies of the proceedings and recommendation of the National Judicial
Council in the trial of Hon. Justice Olamide Oloyede of the Osun State.

“Our client’s members, that is, Messers. Adeniyi Sulaiman,Olusola Olojede, Ebenezer Oladapo,Olukanni Ayodeji and Bishop Oluseun Adeoye took part in the trial as witnesses. We shall pay any required fees for this purpose”.

Speaking on the development, the leader of the group, Comrade Adeniyi Sulaiman stated that the group was suspecting the National Judicial Council(NJC) of having hidden agenda over the matter and that was why they were blocking all the ways for the group to get justice for the courageous and incorruptible Justice Folahanmi Oloyede.

The rights activist reiterated the resolve of the group to use the due process of law and the machinery of justice to challenge what it perceived as illegal, illogical, unconstitutional, barbaric, archaic, unconstitutional, undemocratic and manipulated 2016 Code of Conduct for Judicial official, while the 2014 Code were invoked when the purported unsubstantiated offence were committed by the jurist.

Sulaiman maintained that it has not been in the lexicon of the group to silence in the face of injustice of this nature, describing incorruptible Oloyede as a epitome of justice, humility, courage, beacon of inspiration, respecter of rule of law and friend of the oppressed, saluting the uncommon courage of Justice Olamide Oloyede who sacrificed her comfort of office to give voice to the poor masses of the State,

He then reiterated that the group would use every democratic means to fight this battle until it gets justice for the incorruptible
Justice Oloyede.

PoliticsWe Shall Sing A Song Of Victory This Year – Obiano To Ndi Anambra And Nigerians by sweetsandy4luv(op): 2:00am On Jan 01, 2017
The governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has expressed optimism that Ndi Anambra and their fellow Nigerians shall sing a song of joy and victory in the New Year.

In a special New Year Messaged signed by James Eze, his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Governor Obiano reasoned that having survived the trauma and anxieties of the outgone year, Ndi Anambra and their fellow compatriots shall have crossed over to a new threshold of prosperity and growth.

The governor cast a long look back through the outgone year and lauded the resilience of the Nigerian people who stood firm against the storm of economic recession, internal restiveness and displacements and expressed hope for a greater happiness and fulfilment in the New Year.

“Ndi Anambra, we have come a long way as a people. But we didn’t get this far by crumbling under the weight of adversities. No. We got to where we are by subduing seemingly impossible challenges and carving a pathway to our own happiness. So, we shall know greater happiness and live our dreams this year,” he declared.
Recalling the giant strides recorded by Anambra State in the outgone year, Governor Obiano observed that the tour of the industrial sector of the state by Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and the tour of the Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbe and the governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Godwin Emefiele as well the visit of the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola were important events that signpost a brighter future for Ndi Anambra.

“Those visits and the visits of many other important functionaries and representatives have assured us in unmistakable terms that the federal government takes Anambra State seriously. We are happy to realize that our little efforts to improve the lot of our people have not gone unnoticed. We are hopeful that Anambra will get more attention from Abuja in the New Year,” Governor Obiano explained.

The governor also commended efforts by the federal government to haul Nigeria out of the throes of recession pointing out that all hands must be on deck to rescue the country from the economic challenges that cast a shadow over her in the outgone year.

He assured Ndi Anambra of the resolve of his administration to pursue his blueprint with greater vigour and clarity of vision in the New Year to ensure that the gains recorded in the past two and half years of his regime would be fully consolidated.

He expressed satisfaction that some of the projects he flagged off barely two months ago under the Special N20m Community Projects Initiative meant for the 181 communities of the state have already been completed and were put to use during the Yuletide Season and assured that every community in the state would get feel of government in the New Year.

Governor Obiano also thanked Ndi Anambra for their support in the outgone year and expressed optimism that he would enjoy a greater support from the good people of the state in 2017.

PoliticsFayose Faults INEC Chairman On Electoral Violence, Blames INEC,APC Partisanship by sweetsandy4luv(op): 8:11pm On Dec 21, 2016
Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has faulted the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu on reasons for the renewed electoral violence in the country, saying; “Violence returned to our electoral process because of INEC partisanship and manipulation of the electoral process in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

Source>>>>http://www.newsflashngr.com/index.php/2016/12/21/fayose-faults-inec-chairman-on-electoral-violence-blames-inec-partisanship-for-violence/

He said “rather than lamenting, the INEC chairman should return the electoral commission to what he met by detaching it from the APC, which INEC has obviously merged with,” adding that; “if INEC is
neutral as it used to be before APC took power, there won’t be electoral violence.”

the governor stated this in a statement issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM on Wednesday, by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said;
“There were elections in Nigeria between 2011 and 2015, and those elections were credible, such that Nigerians were sure that popular candidates and parties would emerge victorious because votes were
allowed to count.

Then, violence was no longer part of our electoral process. But sadly, this present INEC has destroyed all those gains and returned Nigeria to the era of ballot box snatching.”

He said it was shameful that after casting their votes, votes counted and announced publicly, Nigerians now need to police their votes to collation centres to prevent figures already entered into relevant INEC forms from being altered.

The governor, who counseled Professor Mahmood Yakubu to be mindful of his name and purge the electoral commission under him of partisanship and election manipulation, said; there was no way President Muhammadu Buhari would have been elected if INEC, under Prof Attahiru Jega was the way it is now.

He questioned the rationale behind the jettisoning of the system introduced by Prof Jega, in which accreditation of voters is done at the same time in all polling units from 8am to 1pm while voting will commence after the number of accredited voters are known and counting of votes is done at the same time.

“By returning to the old system of accreditation and voting at the same time, and destroying the credibility of our electoral process, such that unpopular candidates are now having edge over and above
those acceptable to the people, INEC by itself caused the electoral violence witnessed in the last 12 months.

“Even judges that will sit on election matters are now pre-arranged and picked even before the election, such that after using INEC and security agencies to pervert the will of the people, tribunals are used to authenticate the electoral fraud.

“The reality therefore is that only INEC can put an end to electoral violence and the only way to do it is for the commission to be neutral,” he said.

PoliticsBreaking!!! Abuja Court Orders EFCC To Release Fayose’s Properties by sweetsandy4luv(op): 11:28pm On Dec 19, 2016
The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to release all properties belonging to Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State that were attached based on the order of the court made on 20th July and 2nd August 2016.

Source>>>>http://www.newsflashngr.com/index.php/2016/12/19/breaking-abuja-court-orders-efcc-release-fayoses-properties/

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba gave the order while ruling on application filed by Governor Fayose through his counsel Chief Mike Ozekheme (SAN). He brought the application after the EFCC had seized his properties.Ruling on the application which was argued on Monday, Justice Dimgba noted that the interim orders which were made on 20th July and reaffirmed on 3 August were made to last for 45 days to enable EFCC carry out its investigations.

Justice Dimgba said the orders ought to elapse on September 3, but from the court record “no application was filed by the EFCC to extend the order.

“I hold that in the absence of an application to renew it the interim attachment orders had elapsed on 3 September.”

Consequently, all the attachments, seizure, forfeitures and occupation of the said properties and accounts are nullity,” he ruled.

However, he stated that it would be a different matter if the EFCC still occupy the properties based on order of other jurisdiction.

Justice Dimgba blamed EFCC who obtained a similar order from Justice Okon Abang court for not telling the judge they had obtained an order that elapsed on September 3 when they approached him on November 3.

“I do not agree with EFCC that Fayose motion is an academic exercise”, he further ruled

Rivers Rerun: Buhari, APC Have Killed Free, Fair And Credible Elections In Nigeria – Fayose

Source>>>>http://www.newsflashngr.com/index.php/2016/12/11/rivers-rerun-buhari-apc-have-killed-free-fair-and-credible-elections-in-nigeria-fayose/

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described the yesterday rerun National and State House of Assembly elections in Rivers State as a sad reminder of the level of destruction already done to the
country’s electoral process by the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of President Mohammadu Buhari, saying; “Free, fair and credible election is dead in the country and that whatever victory that is recorded by any political party in the Rivers State election will be nothing but victory at gun-point.”

The governor lamented that it was worrisome that the legacy of free, fair and credible election left by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been destroyed less than two years that the APC assumed power, saying; “We thought that we have gone past this era of manipulated electoral process after the 2015 general elections, which brought the APC and President Buhari to power, but the Buhari’s administration has taken us back to the stone age by merging his party, APC with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the police, military and other security agencies.”

In a release signed and issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM on Sunday by Special Assistant to the governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, quoted the governor as saying that with what was witnessed in Rivers State yesterday, it is clear that Nigeria is under siege and only prompt intervention by the international community can save democracy in the country from this imminent collapse.”

He said; “It is sad that snatching of ballot boxes, hijacking of voting materials and electoral violence which had become a thing of the past have now become part of our electoral process.

“It is even more worrisome that despite that votes are counted openly at the polling units, electorates are no longer sure of the results of elections until announcement by INEC, which has become an organ of the APC,” the governor said.

Governor Fayose described President Buhari as a pretender, who has only paid lips service to the sustenance of democracy in the country, adding that “any president that looks the other way while the rights of his people to freely elect their leaders is being snatched at gunpoint by his own party men is not worthy of being associated with democracy.”

He reiterated his call to the United States of America President-Elect, Mr Donald Trump to focus his attention more on Nigeria, with a view to saving the country from disintegrating, saying; “God forbid, if Nigeria disintegrates, the entire continent of Africa will disintegrate.

“The order of the day in Nigeria now is disobedience to court orders, abuse of human rights, extra judicial killings and mass burial of innocent Nigerians killed by the Army. The reality we must all face is
that should all these be allowed to continue, Nigeria faces imminent
danger and the international community must not allow the country to
get to that level of total collapse before it begins to call President
Buhari and his APC to order.”

PoliticsRivers Rerun: Wike’s Camp Crumbles As Olaka Backs Abe by sweetsandy4luv(op): 12:47pm On Dec 08, 2016
Ikuru goes into hiding as his entire political structure collapses into APC

….Rivers APC hails Ogbakor Ikwere for filing behind Andrew Uchendu,

*Urges Sekibo and Ideozu to emulate Nwogu

The camp of Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has finally crumbled in Rivers South East Senatorial Zone with barely two days to go to the December 10, 2016 rescheduled rerun parliamentary elections in the State.

Read more>>>>http://www.newsflashngr.com/index.php/2016/12/08/rivers-rerun-wikes-camp-crumbles-olaka-backs-abe/

This follows the decision of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) strongman, Chief Olaka Nwogu, to sacrifice his senatorial ambition and join forces with the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe.

Olaka Nwogu, who was the PDP candidate for the rerun election and in pursuant of this new goal have strategically refused to attend any of the shambolic rallies and deceitful projects flag-offs organized by Wike in the South East Senatorial District; tested the waters of dumping Wike by approving and mobilising his supporters to massively defect to APC by late November 2016 to prepare ground for his formal defection immediately after the December 10 rerun election stating that denying Abe the Senate slot at this time will be a great disservice to Rivers State.

To worsen Wike’s political woes, Engr Tele Ikuru erstwhile Deputy Governor to Chibuike Amaechi known in some quarters as Rivers State modern Judas Iscariot went into hiding when Senator Abe and his Team stormed Andoni the home Local Government Area of Chief Uche Secondus former PDP Acting National Chairman as his Chief Strategist, Mobilizer and strongman, KINGSTON SYLVANUS defects to APC with over 600 PDP members. It is said that with this development both Ikuru, Secondus, Wike are now a little less better than orphans in the politics of Andonai not minding the decision of Chief Olaka to join forces with Abe.

According to Hon. Syvanus, “now that PDP has no candidate for the Senate slot for the district, what is the need to continue to stay in an obvious dead political party in the State?”

Senator Abe was visibly happy over this development as he received Kinston Sylvanus and the entire Tele Ikuru’s political structure emphasizing that nobody should rest until PDP and Wike are formally buried in Rivers State by ensuring that no PDP Candidate gets any vote during the rerun election in the State.

In a similar development, while receiving the over 300 Nwogu’s supporters and members of PDP at Bua Zaakpon community in Khana Local Government Area and Akpajo community in Eleme Local Government Area, who have decamped to APC; Senator Abe commended the people of Rivers South East for resolving to resist the tyranny of Governor Wike. Abe lamented the marginalisation of Ogoni people, saying: “Rivers State will be celebrating its 50 years anniversary next year and in those 50 years, no Ogoni son has been Speaker, Deputy Governor, Governor and Chief Judge. Is that not marginalisation?”

Abe said that the Ogoni people had resolved to prove to their detractors that they love themselves by agreeing to vote for a Senator of their choice in the person of himself. He assured the people that they would benefit more in APC than in PDP, pointing out that for now their son had been appointed Executive Director of Finance and Administration in the Niger delta Development Commission (NDDC), a position they had not previously occupied since the inception of the commission.

He also noted that the UNEP Report implementation was on course, assuring that if voted a Senator, he would fast-track the implementation. Advising the people to vote massively for APC on Saturday, Abe said:“Everywhere wey them don vote na APC win.
Them vote for Edo state, APC win; for Ondo state, who win? APC. This time around, we go vote for Rivers State. Election by AK47 is over. Everybody go and look for your PVC. On the 10th of December, there will be voting in Rivers state and when we finish voting, APC will win.”

Earlier in their speeches, Wike and Nwogu’s pillars in the South East district, Chief Gani Topba of Zaakpon community and Robinson Osaroluka of Akpajo community, on behalf of Wike/Olaka’s supporters assured Senator Abe that the people have keyed into “Choose-Your-Senator-Campaign”, adding that by December 10 that Abe would be returned as the Senator-elect.

Rivers APC has commended Olaka Nwogu and his supporters for their wise decision, which it said would help make for peaceful polls and thus save the lives of innocent Ogonis. “We urge APC faithful in the South East Senatorial district to accord Chief Olaka Nwogu a resounding reception immediately after the election as we arrange on how to get him used to democratic norms after his long sojourn with undemocratic elements in PDP,” the party said on Thursday in a statement signed by the State Chairman, Chief (Dr.) Davies Ibiamu Ikanya,

On developments in the Rivers East senatorial district the party hailed the resolve of Ogbakor Ikwerre, the umbrella body of Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality, to adopt and support the candidature of APC’s Chief Andrew Uchendu as the Senator to represent the zone based on his antecedents. “With this endorsement by Ogbakor Ikwerre, Senator George Sekibo should respect the stand of his constituency and allow his superior in the person of Uchendu to be formally elected without shedding of any blood,” the party said.

Rivers APC also noted with joy that with the return of Kalabari Prince and political strongman Ojukaye Flag Amachree from Wike’s gulag, the election of the People’s Speaker, Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Dan Amachree, as Senator for Rivers West Senatorial Zone, is now guaranteed.

“With the mammoth crowd that attended Ojukaye’s Thanksgiving ceremony at Buguma, the historical Headquarters of the Kalabaris, few days ago, PDP’s OSINAKACHUKWU T IDEOZU should stop his dream of going back to the Senate to continue his sleeping spree instead of contributing to the serious business of the Senate,” the statement said.

Fayose Condemns Removal Of Gov Wike’s CSO, Says; “FG Planning To Subvert The Will Of Rivers”

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has condemned the removal of the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the Rivers State Governor, Mr Nyesom Wike less than five days to the State’s legislative re-run
election, saying; “With this ignoble action by the federal government, it is now clear that the federal government is out to subvert the will of the people of Rivers State by whatever means in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

Governor Fayose, who alerted the international community on the imminent danger being posed to Nigeria by the APC-led federal government, said; “Nigeria deserve total attention from the international community at this time. The international community should not look the other way while those holding power in Abuja plunge the country into crisis of international magnitude.”Special Assistant to the governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, quoted the governor as saying that it was getting clearer that Governor Wike was right when he claimed that
there was a plot to assassinate him before Saturday.

The governor said President Mohammadu Buhari should be reminded that he sworn to protect all Nigerians, irrespective of the party they belong to.

He asked; “How can anyone tamper with security aides of a State Governor without his consent? How can the Chief Security Officer of a state governor be changed without the consent of the governor? Isn’t
it now clear that they actually want to kill Governor Wike before the Saturday election?”

Governor Fayose, who said all steps being taken by the federal government were geared towards turning Nigeria to a one party State, warned that “Nigeria can never be turned to a one party State and if care is not taken, by the time this house of democracy is destroyed by the APC cabal, no one will be spared.”

He said those trying to impose their will on the people by whatever means must leant from history, especially what happened in Nigeria between 1979 and 1983 and where it led Nigeria to.

Rivers APC Tells Gov. Wike: Return The N2bn Rivers Money You Donated To Ondo State PDP

With the trouncing of Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in the governorship election in Ondo State Saturday, the Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, is asking the governor of Rivers State to immediately retrieve and return the sum of N2bn of Rivers money he donated to the Ondo State branch of the PDP.

Source:http://www.newsflashngr.com/index.php/2016/11/27/rivers-apc-tells-gov-wike-return-n2bn-rivers-money-donated-ondo-state-pdp/

Making the demand Sunday afternoon was the Rivers State Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress, APC, Senibo Chris Finebone while addressing APC supporters in Port Harcourt shortly after the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Chief Rotimi Akeredolu of the APC as the winner of the 2016 Ondo governorship election.

“It is unfortunate that Gov. Nyesom Wike is still playing Father Christmas with the commonwealth of Rivers people for his personal egoistic political voyage despite that the governor has cancelled hundreds of overseas scholarships and the students repatriated home among other important programmes. Agriculture is in its worst state since Rivers State was created.
Songhai Farm is gone; the Banana Farm at Tai is gone; RSSDA is now a ghost of its former self with the staff owed 17 months salaries. The various fish farms at Buguma, Andoni and other places that provided jobs for thousands of Rivers people are now history.

“It saddens the heart that our governor prefers to neglect important matters calling for attention at home but rather lavish our commonwealth on his personal political pursuits. Can you imagine that Gov. Nyesom Wike willingly donated a whopping N2bn to the Ondo State chapter of the PDP? It is horrible, mind-boggling and indefensible.

“Just like in the case of Edo, the PDP has lost and the governor should not wait to be reminded to return the N2bn back to the treasury of Rivers State immediately,” Finebone demanded.

Continuing, the APC Spokesman lambasted the governor for wasting the resources of the people on matters concerning the PDP rather than concentrate on frugally applying the state’s resources to the needs of the people of Rivers State.

“Whereas the PDP has states like Akwa Ibom and Delta that collect high monthly federal allocations, it is only Gov. Wike that plays the party’s godfather. So far, he has wasted billions of Naira hosting two failed national conventions of the PDP in Port Harcourt. He has profligately donated billions of Naira belonging to Rivers people to faraway Bayelsa, Edo and Ondo PDP chapters for purposes of elections while medical workers, pensioners and teachers are owed back home.

“Is it that Rivers State has been conquered by a small band of buccaneers led by Gov Wike and genuine elders are keeping quiet?” Finebone queried.

The APC Spokesman warned that if the governor did not return the N2bn he gave out to Ondo PDP, he will be forced to do so at the appropriate time.

PoliticsFayose Accuses INEC Of Working For APC In Ondo Election by sweetsandy4luv(op): 4:21pm On Nov 27, 2016
INEC rigged Ondo election in advance for APC – Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has lamented the outcome of the Ondo State Governorship election, saying the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) connived with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its collaborators in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to rig the election before it was conducted.

He said; “Just as I would have loved to congratulate the winner, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), because in every contest, there must be a winner and a loser, the role of INEC in awarding victory to him in the election left much to be desired.”

The governor, who reacted to the outcome of the election in a statement issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayina, said INEC gave the APC victory in the election by deliberately replacing the name of Mr Eyitayo Jegede, the PDP candidate, thereby creating legal logjam that lasted till three days to the election.

He said that the PDP went to the election with its hands tied to the back because of the uncharitable actions of INEC, which has no doubt become an arm of the APC.

He maintained that apart from the APC, political parties in Nigeria are now contesting elections against INEC.

Governor Fayose lamented that “to sustain the ‘see and buy’ strategy and legalise money politics, the APC-led federal government deliberately created poverty in the country so as to continue to enslave the minds of Nigerians with peanuts to get their votes on election day, saying; “Dibo ko sebe (vote and collect money to cook soup) was the slang used by the APC in the Ondo State election and that only worked because the APC federal government have put Nigerians in abject poverty.”

He said; “Even though INEC allowed what appeared like a free and fair atmosphere on the election day, the election had been won and lost before it was held.

“For instance, INEC that witnessed the PDP primary election that produced Mr Eyitayo Jegede succumbed to pressure from the APC cabal to replace him with Jimoh Ibrahim, who did not take part in any primary
election known to the Electoral Act.

“What could anyone have done under 72 hours in an election that was heavily monetised by the APC?

“The whole process was a deliberate sabotage by INEC, which has totally bastardised the electoral process.

“Obviously, all these shenanigans are geared towards turning Nigeria to a one part state by weakening all opposition parties ahead of the 2019 general elections but I can assure Nigerians that this will not last because the people will always be defeat tyranny.”

PoliticsFayose Talks Tough Says Democracy On Trial In Ondo State As INEC Merged With APC by sweetsandy4luv(op): 4:14pm On Nov 25, 2016
At the early hours of today, information came in that the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Prof Kayode Soremekun, who was the INEC Returning Officer in the recently concluded Edo State governorship election that is still a subject of litigation, will also serve as the Returning Officer for the Ondo State election.

Source:http://www.newsflashngr.com/index.php/2016/11/25/fayose-talks-tough-says-democracy-full-trial-ondo-state-inec-merged-apc/

The questions that came to my mind were; is Prof Kayode Soremekun the only Vice Chancellor in Nigeria? Is FUOYE the only federal university in Nigeria? Is Ekiti the only State where INEC can find Returning Officers?

Definitely, INEC is up to a sinister game on the Ondo State election and it is obvious that the electoral commission is working with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This belief was further made manifest by the response of Prof Soremekun to a SMS and a call, saying that he was only being used as mdecoy by INEC.

This was further corroborated by the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ondo State, Mr Olusegun Agbaje, who said on television that identities of those to be used as Returning Officers are being
kept secret.

Obviously, it is clear beyond any doubt that INEC is only trying to make a volte-face, after its sinister motive of using the same people it used to rig the Edo State election was exposed.
Electoral process should be an open book that anyone can read. Sadly, less than 24 hours to the Ondo State election, INEC is telling Nigerians and the entire world that identities of those to serve as Returning Officers are being kept secret.

Why should those that will conduct election be hidden from Nigerians? Is election now a secret affair?

The sad reality confronting the electoral process in Nigeria today is that apart from the APC, other political parties are now contesting elections against INEC.

It is clear that the Returning Officers already have fake results that they will announce to Nigerians as they did in Edo State.

Evidently, democracy in Nigeria has suffered a serious setback and it will take the insistence and resistance of the people of Ondo State for their votes to count tomorrow.

Furthermore, to sustain the planned rigging, names of some judges seen as trusted enough to give the APC favourable judgment have been compiled to be used as members of the Election Petition Tribunal. In other words, the election tribunal has been constituted even before the election is held.

I therefore urge the people of Ondo State to be extremely vigilant. When they go out tomorrow to cast their votes, they must stand by their votes. They must follow their votes from the polling stations to the ward collation centres, local government collation centres and the State collation centre.

My dear people of Ondo State, if they tell you to leave the State collation centre at any time that collation will be suspended as they did in Edo State, resist it. Stay awake all night on Saturday till
final result is announced.

INEC must be reminded that has a duty to Nigerians and not APC. The people of Ondo State must be the one to elect their own governor, not INEC.

Therefore, tomorrow’s election must be free, fair and credible. Nigerians must remember there is no alternative to democracy, we must salvage it together.

PoliticsAmaechi Lauds Late Ken Atsuwete At Funeral Says He's Defender Of The Defenseless by sweetsandy4luv(op): 1:25pm On Nov 22, 2016
Late Barrister Ken Atsuwete has been described as the “defender of the defenceless, voice of the voiceless and man of God who won souls for His kingdom.”

Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon Chibuike Amaechi stated this at the funeral service for the late legal practitioner, human rights activist and pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, who was killed in Port Harcourt on August 29, 2016.

Amaechi, who was represented by the Director-General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside, stressed that rather than mourn the exit of Atsuwete; he should be honoured because he fought against injustice and contributed immensely towards a better society.

“Ken served the Lord faithfully, he will live in glory. We should not be mourning, we should be grateful that he impacted on this world within his short time in life. He was a man who believed in a cause and fought doggedly till death.“Wherever there was injustice, Ken would fight against it. He offered his life so that the rest of us will live. He exhibited the peak of courage. Be assured that the sacrifice Ken has made will bring to an end the unnecessary killings in Rivers State.

“He was not a member of the any political party, he was not a member of APC, yet he offered to defend Ojukaye (Flag Amachree, a member of APC). He gave his all to defend Ojukaye. Injustice, regardless of party affiliation, was something he abhorred. He will not pay the price for nothing,” the Minister stated.

While saying that God will not abandon the family nor suffer any form of frustration, the minister stressed that his death will bear fruit of “justice, peace, harmony and a thriving society.”

The officiating minister at the funeral service, Pastor Grant Alobari of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, quoting from Ecclesiastes 7:1&2 spoke of two important days in the life of man, birth and death.

He said that the deceased lived for the poor and those oppressed, adding that he was “sympathetic, humble and ready to help at all times.”

The cleric said that God “expects us to do what will glorify him,” an injunction he says the deceased carried out till the point of death.

Several dignitaries were present at the occasion including the immediate past Acting Managing Director of NDDC, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, members of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), civil society groups, among others.

Peter Obi should emulate this and keep his fast dwindling respect.Going from Soludo to Obidigbo promising financial support for them to come out as candidates in the next gubernatorial election is immature and immaterial.

In addition, funding and training Iko and cohorts as agents to be used in the election poses security risk and Peter needs be aware that today’s government in Anambra state has zero tolerance for criminals and crimes.

Peter Obi should bow out gracefully or if he feels he still has the political clout, he should come vie for Anaocha LGA chairmanship election. PoliticsBREAKING: Top APC Members To Dump Party For Buhari And His Brothers Next Year by sweetsandy4luv(op): 11:38pm On Nov 21, 2016
Concrete Information to us from a consortium sources within the All Progressive Congress [APC] Secretariat in Abuja indicate that a massive decampment from the APC within the few coming months would be imminent should corrective measures not be taken to placate the unhappy members of the party.

Source: http://www.newsflashngr.com/index.php/2016/11/21/breaking-top-apc-members-dump-party-buhari-brothers-next-year/

One of the top sources, who spoke with our correspondent, pressed on the issue of ongoing tussles within the party that has resulted to the party not having a clear leader or leadership.

He indicated that it has left many of the top members angry over the direction of the party come early next year when many of the politicians would begin preparations against their planned interests and races.

The source who is also a top member of the APC, expressed concern over the Bola Tinubu group who have made their anger open to the party and to the public.

He indicated that folks within the Tinubu group have expressed interest in vying for the presidential seat in 2019 while others have expressed interest in the various gubernatorial races coming up in the various states.
“The party is so much in disarray to conduct a clean and rancor free primaries“, lamented the top APC chieftain who went to add that “we will only wait till early next year before leaving this APC for Buhari and his brothers“.

The source refused to mention which party the aggrieved APC members intend to defect into when they eventually leave the APC.

But the source hinted that top APC members from the south west have been holding numerous meetings to carve out pathways out of the imbroglio.

And one of the pathways have been publicly disclosed to include the formation of a new political party. This is particularly the case for the likes of Governor Nasiru Elrufai of Kaduna State who have begun preparations for the 2019 presidential race and others like him in the party who believe that the 2019 candidacy of President Buhari would not only be unlikely but unpopular.

The group of would-be aspirants for the top tickets are said to be prepared for the eventuality of President Buhari decision to hold on to the APC ticket for 2019. For the group, an alternate party would inevitably be the only option.

The new political party is believed to include the active participation of personalities like the Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abubakar Atiku, Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi, Ohakim, Governor of Adamawa State, Governor of Kaduna State, Governor of Sokoto State and a host of other former governors.

It is expected that by January 2017, the APC will become a mere shadow of its old self.

As Ghana Presidential Election Draws Nearer: Fayose Issues Warning Message To Ghanaians – Don’t Buy Into APC’s Fake Change

As the December 7 presidential election in Ghana draws near, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has counselled the people of Ghana to be mindful of making the same mistake made by Nigerians in the 2015 presidential election by voting for change, which has brought hunger, sufferings and economic recession to the country, such that even the entire West African sub-region is being affected.

He said “by buying into the All Progressives Congress (APC) message of change, Nigerians are now facing a kind of hunger and suffering never experienced in the country in the last 30 years and Ghanaians must not fall into that kind of trap.”

Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said in a statement issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday that Governor Fayose made this call while playing host to some men of God from Ghana on Saturday. The governor said; “Ghanaians should not succumb to the deceit of the opposition party that are calling for a change of government. Rather, they should return the incumbent President, John Mahama, who has no doubt done creditably well to deserve a re-election.

“Ghanaians should know that the change in Nigeria brought hunger, suffering, disregard for the rule of law as well as arrest and detention of Nigerians without trial and be mindful of those preaching change to them.

“Most importantly, the situation in Ghana at present is similar to that of Nigeria. Like President Mohammadu Buhari, opposition party, New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo has contested the presidency two times. This is the third time he is contesting. He is also 74 year-old.

“In Nigeria, change is synonymous with economic recession that is even getting to the level of depression. Even majority of those who brought the change are now regretting it.

“Therefore, tell your people in Ghana that Nigerians are already regretting the change they made last year, which has plunged the country into serious economic hardship. Tell them to learn from Nigerians and reject those preaching message of change to them. They should hold on to the government that they have now and beware of a change that will take their country to economic recession.”
