PoliticsDon’t Sign The Amened Ccb/cct Act – Cnpp Warns Buhari by sweetsandy4luv(op): 7:34pm On Oct 30, 2016
The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has strongly condemned the amendment to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) Act by the National Assembly (NASS) and urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to sign the amended Act.

The CNPP also called on well meaning Nigerians and the Civil Society groups in the country, including the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), to mount pressure on Mr. President to withhold his assent to the said amendment.

The umbrella body of all the registered political parties and associations in the country, in a statement issued to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM on Sunday and signed by its Secretary General, Chief Willy Ezugwu, noted that the CNPP’s decision was taken after a careful study of the amendment and the circumstances surrounding the controversial move.

Parts of the statement read: “We are taken aback that just months after it initially suspended the move to amend the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) Act, the National Assembly subtly passed the amendment Bill into law.

“When the plan by the National Assembly to amend the Act first became known to members of the public, there was deafening outcry, which forced the lawmakers to suspend the move.
“The CNPP, just like many other Nigerians had thought that the National Assembly by the suspension of the earlier move to amend the CCT/CCB Act was a sign of good days ahead where the lawmakers respect the majority opinion of their respective constituencies.

“But the subtle passage of the amendment Bill is an indication that the National Assembly is serving the interest of its principal officers, and not that of the Nigerian people who unfortunately elected this crop of lawmakers, so insensitive to the core issues bothering the ordinary citizens”, the CNPP observed.

The Conference also noted that “The speed with which the amendment was carried out at a time some principal officers were accused of false declaration of assets is an indication of the interest it intended to serve.

CelebritiesMiss Anambra Cucumber S*X Scandal: Weep For Anambra Not Chidimma – CLO Tells Nig by sweetsandy4luv(op): 10:11pm On Oct 29, 2016
For some days now, the entire cyberspace and other gadgets have been awash with the lurid videos of l.es.b!ian act with Miss Chidimma Okeke, the hurriedly dethroned Miss Anambra 2015.

The s*x act recorded with professional camera and experienced hands editing is not only disgusting to watch but simply portrays the level of moral depravity prevalent in the society today.

The video and act not only debases the pride of womanhood and the worth of the girl- child but is a pointer that the many have descended to the level of not being better than animals in their instincts.

Several voices have spoken condemning Miss Chidimma, calling for her head and so much other views while majority have also failed to realize the age long saying that “there is no smoke without fire”.

That the average pr.o.stit*te is still hustling in the streets every night is a pointer that there are still willing patrons who drop money to sleep with her.

Chidimma and her co-partners actions are highly condemnable while we know that l.es.bian!ism or same s*x act/ marriage is prohibited and criminalized in our laws but we need to go beyond the actual act and find out those behind the scene and their roles in the sordid act.

Who recorded the video? Who leaked it online? What was the motive for recording such? Who commissioned the act? Was it really a precondition before announcing Chidimma as the pageant winner?

Who are the people behind the scene directing the act with one even helping in parting legs? So many unanswered questions!
The pageant organizers and management of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) need to tell the whole world what they know in the whole saga and why they hurriedly withdrew the crown and car from Chidimma few hours before the s*x video went viral.

Chidimma has alleged threat to her life and had to chicken out of an earlier scheduled press briefing where she would have revealed what we don’t know.

We call for adequate security for her presently while she should be monitored closely so that she won’t take any rash action that may injure her life.

She needs psychological and spiritual rehabilitation as well as deliverance/exorcism presently. It is also very important she is guided to say all she knows about the ugly incident.

The actual act is a dent on the image of the state while the silence of the state actors since the video went viral is not only an indictment but suggest an act of complicity and a ploy to shield some individuals.

Anambra is the light of the nation and should be a pace setter in all facets of excellence.

Unfortunately, those who should show the way are sometimes caught in the web of Epicureanism and other indulgences which are in contrast with the state shared values.

The Miss Anambra s*x scandal has brought to the fore certain musings in the public domain that some ladies are used as s*x toys for top government functionaries, some aides and proponents of second term groups in Anambra.

The musing also indicted two hotels in Awka capital where such bizarre acts go on unhindered. Urgent investigation is needed here.

PoliticsRe: The 4 Men Who May Likely Replace Oye Revealed And Maxi Okwu’s Top List by sweetsandy4luv(op): 7:24pm On Oct 27, 2016
So sorry is a mix up
SamuelAnyawu:
Wetin Bring Oyegun pix there?

I hope the APGA crises will not affect Obiano's re-election bid? grin
PoliticsThe 4 Men Who May Likely Replace Oye Revealed And Maxi Okwu’s Top List by sweetsandy4luv(op): 7:16pm On Oct 27, 2016
Newsflashngr– The members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the embattled All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who a fortnight ago met with the elders of the party alongside the chairman of its Board of Trustees and Leader, Gov Willie Obiano in the Governor’s Lodge, Awka appear unfazed by efforts at dousing the tension in the committee.

The meeting called at the instance of the governor was his last effort to save the party and perhaps the job of the former national chairman, Dr Victor Oye who was earlier suspended indefinitely by the NWC.

But indications show that the NWC and indeed political watchers were already looking beyond Oye as they have penciled down no fewer than four persons who might replace the suspended chairman. Oye was alleged to be an unrepentant insolent braggart who has already lost the confidence of the members.

More so, they saw him as an outsider who didn’t invest in the party in any way, nor was ready to do so anyday. NWC also say that he sees himself as the emperor who deserved to be worshipped by all always.

Virtually all members of the 29-member NWC saw nothing good in him. Again, no member of the party, irrespective of his/her status has a kind word for Oye. And he hardly help matters as he was described as a round-the-clock man of pride who after visiting and riding with his predecessor, Chief Victor Umeh want to be as rich, connected and respected and honoured like him.

Again, he neither has any love for Umeh nor was he ready to pay the price Umeh has paid in his about 12 years in the saddle. Oye was also accused of not releasing the monthly allowances of the NWC members to them in the last 16 months he has led the party. But it remains to be verified.

The vexed members saw as mere papering the cracks within the committee all attempts to save Oye.

Situation appeared so bad now that they vowed not to honour any meeting called by him, henceforth.

That was why they had already gone to court seeking an injunction to restrain him from parading himself as the party’s national chairman, until further notice.

They pointed out that their collective rejection of the food, drinks, water and all at the Awka stakeholders’ meeting, and rather choosing to drive away into the midnight that day would have alerted anyone that there was serious problem.
According to the acting national chairman, Ozo Nwabueze Okafor, “we are not in this struggle for any financial, personal or selfish reason. We are trying to save our party from the dangerous bend the suspended national chairman was taking the party on.”

Again, on the claim by Oye that someone was sponsoring them, Okafor described it as ridiculous and insulting.

He wondered whether it was the phantom sponsor that made him a braggart, commit all the listed constitutional breaches he was accused of. Or has he disproved or denied any of the allegations brought against him?
NWC has clearly indicated that they were not particular about who is chosen to replace Oye, but were emphatic that he must go if the slide in the party would stop. That even if party leader chooses from within the set up or anyone earning his personal confidence, that they had lost confidence irretrievably in Oye long before now.

Umeh, from records was a committed foundation member of the party and has fought many wars, without really castigating anyone, not even ex-Gov Peter Obi who has stood between him and the senate.

But Oye has not hidden his dislike for Umeh or the rest members of the NWC and Obi. He speaks wide and without control thereby failing to keep track of his words that he swears in self defense until confronted with the recorded versions, to his shame.

Already lined up to take over his job are Chiefs Amechi Obidike, Ifeanyi Udokwu, Ifeanyi Ibezi, Maxi Okwu and Titus Anagbogu.

Apart from Ibezi, it was doubtful if any of these has any knowledge of their being propositioned for the job.

According to an Abia state based Enugu-born politician, Godson Ugwu, “I may not know all of them too well but Obidike was the immediate past state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who had to resign his position in solidarity to Gov Obiano (APGA) having hailed from same Aguleri and sits at the palace Council of HRH Igwe Christopher Idigo of Aguleri together.

It was suggested that Chief Amechi, described as a thoroughbred political all rounder was well equipped, experienced and has the character and candor of a potential party leader.

He led ACN, and later APC until he resigned on self volition because of his personal love for Obiano.

Newsflashngr further investigation reveals, his political ligaments cut across parties, geopolitical zones and class, that all political strategists consult him daily till date.

Said to be a key advocate of politics without bitterness who had maintained a low profile since joining APGA the moment he left his APC position.

He was said to have played key role in planting APC in the South East zone and has a lot of stops to pull whenever push comes to shove.

If he gets the APGA top job, he would become the only ear-to-the-ground Obiano would have in the party hierarchy since he (the governor) has none presently. Oye was said to lack the ability to court any such relationship within the NWC presently.

Ibezi: described as a very young eager politician who can step into Oye’s shoes, but was seen by key party elements as too inexperienced to shoulder the complicated responsibility of national chairmanship of APGA.

Udokwu: can do it but has the limitation of having concentrated his political career in only Anambra state. That coordinating the party in the zone would prove an uphil task for him, let alone nationwide.

Anagbogu: has the mien, attitude of a leader who can harness the political fortunes of the party.

He has the carriage and viable mental capacity to do it, but it was clear that Obiano’s concern was his nomination, hence would need a close pal. But if he sees Anagbogu as earning trust and confidence, so be it.

There are many other equally capable party chieftains who have what it takes. But for now, it was clear that saving Oye would actually cost APGA its pride of place among the nation’s political parties, not just Obiano.

He therefore need to be given a soft landing to go, as all reasons for trying to save him were actually the key reasons for him to go before he does more damage to the party, including anti-party acts. He knows this.

Uche Nworah, the MD ABS Awka fingered in this mess.

…we now challenge Uche Nworah to say all he knows about the blackmail and act of l.es.bian!ism against Chidinma Okeke – veteran Uche Ezechukwu

…We call on the new media to join this struggle to expose the cartel behind this evil act of using our young girls for cooperate pr*stitution

Uche Ezechukwu, a veteran and highly respected journalist accuses Uche Nworah, the MD ABS Awka who is also an SA to governor Obiano and the CEO Anambra Beauty Pageant of having a hand on the blackmail, abuse and destruction of the future of Chidinma Okeke, Miss Anambra 2015.

Mr Ezechukwu reacting to the sacrilegious l.e!sbi.an s*x video of Miss Anambra stated, “Mr Uche Nworah should please make public what happened during and after Chidinma’s birthday party which was officially hosted for her. Uche Nworah should please name those who were present and their contributions”.Mr Ezechukwu alleged that Chidinma’s ordeal started when Uche Nworah and ABS organised a birthday bash for Miss Chidinma in which they brought in people in govt and powerful politicians that graced the event. These powerful individuals made donations running into millions and an attempt by the organisers to hijack the money and leave Chidinma with penny resulted into this blackmail.

According to Uche Ezechukwu, “Chidinma is suspecting that one of her chaperons must have been used to drug her drink. It started with a rousing birthday party for her to which many people in and out of government were invited.

They made a lot of monetary donations amounting to hundreds of thousands of naira. Her handlers insisted on keeping a lion share of the money which was her birthday presents. When she protested, her travails began. She was subsequently drugged and set up and the s*x-video session set up begins to roll.

Consequently, the s*x-video session was organised”.

PoliticsGroup To Buhari – Sack Amaechi, Onu Now Over Their Attempts To Bribe Judges by sweetsandy4luv(op): 4:24pm On Oct 27, 2016

PoliticsBuhari’s Cabinet Unsettles As New Wave Of Corruption Sets In Within Aso Rock by sweetsandy4luv(op): 7:35am On Oct 27, 2016
The ongoing power-play among the top managers of the Buhari administration may have taken a turn for the worse as more information of the practices and/or mode of operation of the Chief of Staff and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation leak out into the public arena.

This is as many within the Buhari cabinet have learned that the duo have virtually reserved the many vacant political appointments for sale. Many of the political positions which the President is expected to fill, is reported to have been reserved for the highest bidder – and not for the most qualified.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, David Lawal was made to head the committee to seek qualified candidates to fill many of the vacant positions. The committee recently submitted its report to the President – and had since began to cash-in on the golden opportunity.

Our source indicated that the delay in Mr. President’s appointments to fill the many vacant positions was largely due to the chief of staff and the secretary to the government of the federation’s determination to only recommend persons who have paid for the said position.

The source pointed to the many heads of parastatals who were appointed by the previous administration under the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] – who are yet to be replaced – as evidence and/or symptomatic of the “pay to play” scheme operated by the two top administrators of the Buhari administration.

“The PDP appointees are still at their work posts because they have settled the chief of staff and his partner. It is that simple.” The source continues that “many of the appointments made recently by the President showed how the President placed round pegs into square holes“.

The appointees were brought in from the “outside” with expertise that was tangential to the required work experience. In some cases, the work experiences possessed were completely unrelated to the post being filled. The recent fourty six appointments to head the boards of the many parastatals were fingered also as part of the corruption that has become the norm in the Buhari cabinet.

The source cites the delay in replacing the Ministerial slot of Kogi State [James Ocholi] – that was left vacant after the Minister died in a car crash with his wife and son.

The delay according to the source was the result of waiting for the right bidder to pay for the position. “They don’t remember that the ministerial slots are constitutional. They denying Kogi State their constitutional rights for selfish pecuniary reasons.”

Previously, chief among the aggrieved and/or complainants had been the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi who had engaged in a shouting match with the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari over appointments and contract approvals by the President.

A shouting match had also occurred between the Environment Minister and the Chief of Staff over access to the President. The chief of staff had wanted to limit access to the President for all the ministers. He wants all communication with the president to go through him alone.

Interestingly, the new bickering has not come with the customary shouting matches – according to our source.

But a majority of the Ministers are unhappy with the management of the President’s cabinet by the chief of staff and the secretary to the government of the federation. They cite the manner the cabinet weekly meetings have been reduced to an all comers affair – where non-cabinet level members are invited to sit-in during the meetings.

Such non-cabinet level persons like Garba Shehu and other presidential aides were reported to sit-in during weekly cabinet meetings with Ministers and other cabinet level members. The ministers are not comfortable with the arrangement.

With the recent directive by the President for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] to open a broad reaching investigation into Judiciary and the involvement of his aides in the supposed financial crimes alleged by the DSS, the Ministers appear jittery and unsettled over the direction the probe will take.

PoliticsND Avengers Cries Out – We Have Been Raped For Too Long, Enough Is Enough by sweetsandy4luv(op): 6:59am On Oct 27, 2016
Agitations are the rights of component unit in federalism, we owe no authority, tribe or political group any apology. It is the responsibility of the central government to cooperatively manage them rather than overheating the system by thinking of fierce responses (decisive military action), Niger Delta Avengers has said.

“It is disgusting for President Muhammadu Buhari and his tribesmen to equate the revenue priorities of the Niger Delta region with regional comparisons of development in Nigeria. For crying out loud, since 1914 our resources have being the essence of this union called Nigeria before crude oil was discovered.

The amalgamation of southern and northern Nigeria was for administrative convenience because the north was not viable economically. The idea of bundling through bills like North East/West Development Commission is fraud, hypocrisy and bigotry by President Muhammadu Buhari”.

This was contained in a statement on the website of the group, signed by it spokesperson Brig Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, stating, “President Muhammadu Buhari should think like a leader with the advantage of his age to see the genuine and legitimate agitation with the right attitude to pacify our people.

We have been raped for too long, General Muhammadu Buhari should face the reality of the Niger Delta question. He can stop listening to ideas and advice of the agitation as political system support structure that his tribal warlords and conflict merchants have hypnotized him to believe as the face of the Niger Delta struggle”.

The militia group stated further, “Niger Delta is part of Nigeria federation that he governs, since he is the president, he will always need the cooperation of our people to share or allocate our resources to other component units. The daylight robbery and allocation of proceeds of our natural resources must stop. When he was the chairman of Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), as general Sani Abacha henchman he exhibited this bigotry by focusing attention to his region, which he never pretend about by emphasizing 97% Versus 5% development and appointment structure that he has exhibited again in his fifth coming as national affairs.

He never pretend to be ethnic and religious bigot; the only things he pretends about are his roles in the underdevelopment of the Niger Delta and Nigeria in the over three decades he has being in government – 1976, 1978, 1983/4, 1993/98 and now”.

The Avengers accused Buhari of pretence over his deliberate politicization of the Niger Delta struggle by those tribesmen and conflict merchants he has abdicated the responsibilities of governing Nigeria to since, May 2015. He has forgotten that on his assumption of office, peace has been sustained in the region not through political party and structure support approach but the involvement of genuine stakeholders and the people of the region.

“That if Mr. President will come down from that his ethnic iron-horse, To engage in discussion with our people on October or any date he likes, the issues are not new. We want to control our resources and pay appropriate taxation to the central government that is fiscal federalism in practice and in principles.

The government, representatives of the Multinational Oil Corporations, neutral international observers and elders as well as stakeholders should guide themselves with the following documents: the Sir Henry Willinks Commission Report of 1958, The Ogoni Bill of Rights, The Kaiama Declaration document of the Ijaw Youth Council, The General Alexander Ogomudia Committee Report, The Niger Delta Technical Committee Report which contains the Pre- amnesty issues and agreement with the government of Nigeria in 2009.

Then, the framework can be drawn for achieving the short, medium and long term objectives toward the restoration of our land and reparation for the people that have been raped and colonized since 1914”.

It warned, “No amount of military action and surge will stop us from halting the flow of the oil from our land to sustain Nigeria. This is our land that we are the masters of its battlefields. We have warned earlier that we want the “Peace with honour, no more peace of our time”.

Any meeting with this government should be seen as driving a combustible vehicle laden with fire to safety; it must be driven with carefulness”.

Foreign AffairsDonald Trump: There Will Be World War III If You Elect Hillary Clinton by sweetsandy4luv(op): 2:58pm On Oct 26, 2016
CNN)-
Donald Trump warned in an interview Tuesday that Hillary Clinton's policies as president to address the Syrian conflict would lead to World War III, arguing the Democratic nominee would draw the US into armed confrontation with Russia, Syria and Iran.

"What we should do is focus on ISIS. We should not be focusing on Syria," Trump told Reuters on Tuesday morning at his resort in Doral, Florida. "You're going to end up in World War III over Syria if we listen to Hillary Clinton."

The Republican nominee, who has called for a rapprochement with Russia in order to jointly combat ISIS, argued that his Democratic rival's calls for taking a more aggressive posture in Syria to bring the conflict there to an end and combat ISIS will only draw the US into a larger war. Trump's remarks come as he trails Clinton in most national and key battleground state polls just two weeks from Election Day.

"You're not fighting Syria anymore, you're fighting Syria, Russia and Iran, all right? Russia is a nuclear country, but a country where the nukes work as opposed to other countries that talk," he said.

Trump: I'd 'love' to fight Biden

Trump has not laid out a clear strategy for combating ISIS or addressing the globally destabilizing conflict in Syria, which has killed hundreds of thousands and pushed millions more to flee their homes. He has suggested the US should allow ISIS, anti-government rebels and the Syrian government to fight it out and more recently has focused on joining forces with Russia -- which has aided the Syrian regime in the bombing of civilians and US-allied rebels -- to combat ISIS.

"Assad is secondary, to me, to ISIS," Trump told Reuters of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, whom US officials have argued must step down.

Clinton has called for establishing a no-fly zone over Syria to help bring the five-year civil war to an end, a proposal top Republicans in Congress have championed, which President Barack Obama and others have opposed due to the risk of entering into conflict with Russia. A US-enforced no-fly zone would mean the US could shoot down a Russian jet should it enter Syrian airspace.

Clinton addressed those concerns in the final presidential debate, arguing that it would "save lives and hasten the end of the conflict," while cautioning that "this would not be done just on the first day."

"This would take a lot of negotiation and it would also take making it clear to the Russians and the Syrians that our purpose is to provide safe zones on the ground," Clinton said during the debate earlier this month. "I think we could strike a deal and make it very clear to the Russians and Syrians that this was something that we believe the best interests of the people on the ground in Syria. It would help us in the fight against ISIS."

Trump has additionally called for establishing safe zones in Syria to protect civilians -- as has Clinton -- which could also put the US in conflict with the Syrian government or Russia should they oppose the policy.

The Clinton campaign later Tuesday pushed back against Trump's rhetoric.

"National security experts on both sides of the aisle have denounced Donald Trump as dangerously ill-prepared and temperamentally unfit to serve as commander-in-chief," Clinton spokesman Jesse Lehrich said. "Once again, he is parroting Putin's talking points and playing to Americans' fears, all while refusing to lay out any plans of his own for defeating ISIS or alleviating humanitarian suffering in Syria. Moreover, this incendiary attack is aimed at a policy that his own running mate, Mike Pence, strongly supports."

While Clinton has accused Trump of being Putin's "puppet," Trump knocked Clinton for her criticism of the Russian strongman, asking, "How she is going to go back and negotiate with this man who she has made to be so evil."

And just two days after he tied the successful enactment of his agenda as president to the election of Republican majorities in Congress, Trump also returned to his more typical complaints of a lack of Republican unity weighing down his candidacy.

"If we had party unity, we couldn't lose this election to Hillary Clinton," he told Reuters.

That complaint didn't put Trump in more of a bipartisan mood, though, as the Republican nominee also told Reuters he would not consider putting any Democrats in his cabinet -- a departure from recent presidents, who have sought to post at least one member of their rival party in a top administration post.

PoliticsANAMBRA 2017: Recession, Caution & Uncertainty Trail Candidates’ Quest by sweetsandy4luv(op): 6:29pm On Oct 25, 2016
ANAMBRA 2017: Recession, Caution & Uncertainty Trail Candidates’ Desire To Openly Declare Their Intention To Contest The Governorship Election [ASPIRANTS IN PHOTOS]

Politicians and registered political parties in Anambra State are currently behaving as if the 2017 governorship election in the state will not hold going by their body language.

A year to the state’s governorship election, there seems to be functions of variables which has made interested aspirants in parties who want to occupy Chief Willie Obiano’s seat to soft-pedal, albeit momentarily.

Since the return to democratic rule in 1999, some three months to the election year in Anambra state are usually replete with activities.

It is the time political parties open their doors to aspirants who want to fly the flag of their parties as candidates in the election proper.

Besides, it is a period meetings are held from one location to the other in politicians’ houses and hotel halls. In these meetings, aspirants moot their ambitions in a bid to consult with their constituents.

You needed not be told that something was about to happen as posters of aspirants from different political parties adorn the nooks and crannies of the state.

But barely a year to the conduct of a governorship election in Anambra State, every aspirant seems to be in mum state.

The incumbent Governor of the state, Chief Willie Obiano was sworn-in on March 17, 2014. By March 17, 2017, he would have spent three years in office, and given the constitutionally allowed 90 days to the termination of his first term in office, it is expected that elections into the office of Governor of Anambra State would be conducted between the last quarter of November and second quarter of December 2017, to ensure that he is either sworn-in for a second term in office if he wins re-election or hands over to a successor on March 17, 2018.

But as it is now, Obiano who was elected on the Platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) appears to be the only aspirant of the 2017 governorship election in the state who is sure of his candidature. This is because even as he has not officially kicked off campaigns for a second term in office, his body language and activities in government since he clocked two years in March suggest that he had already coveted the APGA ticket to run for a second term in office.

These days, his foot soldiers mobilize all manner of associations including but not limited to the Transport Unions, Traditional Rulers, opinion and church leaders from different communities in the three senatorial zones of the state.

Just recently, the Governor in his response to the national economic recession abolished the payment of taxes and levies for certain categories of low income earners who push barrows, vegetable sellers, Okada riders and the like who hitherto were weighed down by the burden of heavy and multiple taxation.

The state commissioner for Information and Communication strategy, Mr. Tony Nnaecheta who gave a post analytical breakdown of the governor’s radio broadcast to the people of the state said that though the state government would be losing a whooping sum of N200m annually by taking this policy initiative aimed at cushioning the effects of recession, but that it didn’t bother.

The state government was quick to point out that the measure was temporary and though didn’t say when the grace period would elapse; its implication a few months to the election year was not lost on analysts who quickly said it was to woo the support of this social category prior to his ambition to be re-election.About fortnight ago, traditional rulers from the Old Aguata Union (OAU) comprising Aguata, Orumba North and South Local government areas gathered at the Ekwulobia Township Stadium in Aguata to bestow Chief Willie Obaino with the Chieftaincy title of “Aqunechemba” Aguata even as the Governor could not point at any project he had initiated and executed in the zone in the last 30 months.

All the same, the Traditional Rulers had during the ceremony allegedly packaged by an APGA Chieftain and Hotel proprietor in Ekwulobia, Aguata Council area of the state managed to tell him before an assemblage of opinion leaders from the area which included the second Republic vice-President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, a onetime Governor of the state, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, town union presidents and the youths that all the roads in the old Aguata Union were impassable.

The Governor pledged to look into the matter after the rains. That in itself was not a promise.

PropertiesSave Lagos Groups Lambasts Ambode Over Demolition Of ‘slums’ [must Read] by sweetsandy4luv(op): 3:53pm On Oct 25, 2016
A civil society organization, the Save Lagos Group in a press release made available to NEWSFLASHNGR, carpeted the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in Lagos State for inflicting pains on the masses living in the state.

Specifically, the Save Lagos Group faulted the decision of the Akinwunmi Ambode led government to clear structures in areas it considered as ‘slums’ across the state, saying the policy was not well thought through as it would further pauperized the poor citizens of the state.

This is coming just as the Save Lagos Group also punctured the rationale being canvassed by the state government for carrying out the demolition which it hinged on security as laughable, saying there are better ways to ensure security of the people of the state than the mass demolition of property of hapless citizens.

In a statement it issued on Tuesday, signed by the Converner, Comrade Adeniyi A. Sulaiman and the Director, Media and Strategy, Comrade Olaolu Oladipo, the Save Lagos Group stated that the state government has shirked its responsibility of catering for the wellbeing off the poor segments of the society via the action. To the Save Lagos Group, the state government ought to have provided alternative accommodation for those that are to be affected by the demolition, saying the failure to do so amounts to denying them their fundamental rights to decent living.

“We have taken time to study the concept of the programme being embarked upon by the state government to rid the state of criminal elements. This gesture we commend but we hasten to say that the modus operandi for carrying the policy out has left some much to be desired.

“Our opposition to the policy stems from the fact that while it is good for government to restore the aesthetic value and beauty of the state to its pristine value, care must be taken so as not to leave the vulnerable segments of the society out.” The statement reads in part.

Reacting to a statement credited to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Mr. Idowu Ajanaku who stated that the state government was not out to inflict pains on the people of the state, the Save Lagos Group added that the fact that some people of the state have staged a protest march to the seat of government means that the policy has failed.

PoliticsBreaking: APC Spokesmen Ask Justices Okoro, Ngwuta To Resign Immediately by sweetsandy4luv(op): 2:02pm On Oct 25, 2016
Breaking: APC Spokesmen Ask Justices Okoro, Ngwuta To Resign Within The Next 120 Hours For Implicating Amaechi

We refer to the confessions of crime made by Hon Justice John Inyang Okoro, JSC and Hon Justice Sylvester Ngwuta JSC and call on both justices of Nigeria’s apex court to resign from office and service within the next.

Our considered call made with deepest sense of responsibility and after the broadest consultation is founded on the fact that both Justice Okoro and Justice Ngwuta confessed to have suppressed an alleged corruption advances from two ex-governors, serving as ministers in the federal government, contrary To clear provisions of the law.

While Justice Okoro claimed that he was approached by the former governor f Rivers State and current Minister of Transportation, Barr. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi to influence the outcome of the Appeal Court in the Akwa Ibom State gubernatorial Election Petition, Justice Ngwuta deposed to an affidavit claiming that both Amaechi and Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, tried to influence the outcome of Supreme Court cases in Rivers and Abia State respectively.

Our concern here is not whether the allegation by the senior judicial officials as contained in their respective letters to the National Judicial Council (NJC) are true of false, as the NJC and /or the Federal High Court will be in a position to establish that in trial, when the judges are expected to substantiate the allegations.

Of immediate concern to us is that both judges have confessed to committing of crimes if their allegations are true and would still have committed a crime, if they are false.

Section 23, Sub-sections 1, 2 and 3 of the Corrupt Practices an Other Related Acts, 2000 ion of persons Act states as follows:

Duty to Report Bribery Transactions :

23

Any Public officer to whom any gratification is given, promised or offered, in contravention of any provision of this act, shall report such gift, or offer together with the name, if known of the person who gave ,promised or offered such gratification to him, to the nearest officer of the Commission (ICPC) or Police officer.
Any person from whom gratification has been solicited or obtained or from whom an attempt has been made to collect such in contravention of any provision of the act, shall at the earliest opportunity thereafter report such soliciting, or obtaining ,or attempt to obtain the gratification together with the name, if known or a true and full description of the person who solicited or obtained, or attempted to obtain the gratification from him to the nearest officer of the commission or Police officer.
Any person who fails without reasonable excuse to comply with subsections (1) and (2) shall be guilty of an offence , and shall on conviction, be liable to a fine, not exceeding One hundred Thousand Naira ,or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or both fine and imprisonment

In the case of Justice Okoro, he claimed to have informed the Chief Justice of Nigera (CJN) only on February 1, 2016, nearly one year after the said advances were allegedly made. In the case of Justice Ngwuta no such report, according to his own confession was made at all until after his arrest by the Directorate of State security (DSS) and subsequent bail on self-recognition
These judges were by the letters of the cited law supposed to approach the Police or the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and lodge a report, which ,they failed to do.

Given the foregoing, both judges have admitted guilt and have indicted themselves to be guilty in line with Section 23 (1 and 3) of the cited act. And this is not within the bracket of responsibilities of the National Judicial Commission (NJC).

In making this call, we are fully conscious and well –advised on the legal principle that confession is superior to any other evidence.

This is without prejudice imposed by law on the two judges to prove their assertions as it affects the accused ministers in court, failing which the two judges would have fallen into the self-made trap of lying under oath and contravening the law of perjury, which is still criminal in nature and beyond the responsibilities of the NJC.

We are equally surprised that, particularly in the case of Justice Okoro, who claimed to have informed the CJN, albeit one year later, the office of the CJN did not advise or remind the former on what steps to take in the light of the subsisting law, so cited ,but rather sat on the complaint if true. Hence the only reason why we would not call on the CJN to resign is because he has two weeks to retire from the bench, from office and from service.

Our considered call must be sharply distinguished from well-intended request by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for the judges to stand aside as a confidence boosting measure, curiously opposed by the NJC. Whereas NBA’s request is founded on temporary withdrawal of service, as was done in the case of Justice Ayo Salami, JCA, former President of the Court of Appeal, pending the consideration of the allegations in the NJC and in court, ours is a call for resignation based on respective self-indictments evident in the respective statements of the two senior judges.

.

We call on all well-meaning Nigerians, to take timely steps to get these two otherwise honourable justices, who have brought odium to the judiciary to grant the institution a reprieve from the shadows of corruption.

CelebritiesThe Government Owes Us An Explanation To The Leaked S*x Tape By Aisha Edward by sweetsandy4luv(op): 12:52pm On Oct 25, 2016
The truth must be unraveled.

Women activists must rise up now.

The people of Anambra state are not really taking the leaked s*x tape of miss Anambra 2015 Chidima Okeke lightly… Read the full article and have your say…

My attention has been drawn to a disturbing video of a particular pageant queen that is gradually spreading across the internet. The said video which puts Anambra state in a bad light should vehemently be condemned as opposed to the sympathetic empathy it was generating in some quarters.

I, as a moral crusader and leader of Persons leaving with sickle cell disorder heavily frown at the rate of the oral decadence in our society, and how people out of friendship and other affiliations stand to defend evil using all manner of tactics and media strategies.

It was quite appalling and grossly dehumanizing that people instead of condemning the act portrayed in the video, took to their walls to defend and stand with the culprits, possibly because they share some friendship status or are even paid to do so.

The video did not just portray a leaked pri!vate scene, but in all entirety portrayed a crime scene, as the crime shown in the video does not only violates the morals of nature, but also the laws of the federal republic of Nigeria, and has a punishment to the offence. As much as I do not propose for further punishment of the victims, as the disgrace and stigma of the leaked video is already a strong punishment enough the rid them off the illicit behaviours, I, however posit that the act be condemned and necessary rehabilitation offered to the victims, and not the inhumane sympathy being meted on them.

I also read an article credited to one of the girls, where she disclaimed of being in the video, but rather blamed her conspicuous presence on photoshop, and promises to sue the producers of the video.

It is just highly laughable that the least of damage control strategy she could think of or was advised to do is to deny a bare fact, as one may wonder what version of the photoshop software can perfectly manipulate such visuals we saw on the internet. Her denial even calls for more questioning, since she believes she is being blackmailed, I urge her to take the case to court or relevant authorities, to fish out the perpetrators of such act, and if she can’t take the case of blackmail to court as she mentioned in her press release, we, moral crusaders who feel traumatized by the incident would take up the challenge to find the truth and bring the facts to the court of law.

Of course, if she believes she is being blackmailed she should present her evidences in court and prove her innocence.

This leaked video is not only a slap to women in the country, but a sheer disgrace to mothers who were totally shocked to find such videos on the internet. It is quite disheartening that such video would be coming when the women folks are struggling hard to be emancipated from the claws of men, because it makes one wonder the essence of the struggle if this is what the society would benefit even from the high placed individuals, as Pageant queens.

However, as a government parastatal and office that is rested with such functions of overseeing women activities in the state, one is confused as to why the State Ministry of Women Affairs have not issued any statement regarding the disturbing video.

Does their silence have anything to do with the fact that they do not know what to say or don’t understand their work, or does it justify the rumours being peddled in some quarters that the pageant business have thrived in the state through the mortgaging of the girls to wanton politicians, and all these happening under the watch of the Ministry.

One would expect that by now, an official statement and possible investigation would have been issued and opened on the incident to verify the level of damage and to find out if actually there is truth in the claims of the girl who is not just a pageant queen but “Miss Anambra”.

We, at Centre for Moral Mentorship advise the State Government to issue an official statement regarding the incident through the right channels within 48 hours, and in the case of their failure to heed to the candid advice, we shall have no other reason to not challenge them in Court and start a loud campaign against the perpetuated act, as the office which was desecrated fully represents Anambra State and we can’t let the state be dragged in the mud just like that.

However, I advise all media handlers to desist from the hypocritical act of supporting evil under the pretence that all men are evil, if actually we support Miss Anambra for being in the tape because we all have bad sides then there would not be any need to have prisons, as there would be no need to convict criminals since we all have atom of crimes in us.

Amaechi Threatens Buhari Yet Again, Mr. President If Am Going Down – You’re Coming With Me

These are not the best of times for the Minister of Transportation. The house of the presidency appears struck on a path to self implosion as reliable information available through sources within the presidency indicate the President had ordered for a comprehensive investigation into the allegations leveled on the Transport Minister by numerous Justices of the Federation. And in turn, the Transport Minister is said to have threatened retaliation by exposing the President’s dirty deals over the alleged bribery allegation.

Following what appeared as serialized exposure by the Justices of the federation of the involvement of Rotimi Amaechi in the attempt to subvert the judicial process, the President of the federation, General Mohammadu Buhari fell under the immense pressure from the international community to investigate the validity in the claims leveled by the Justices. To this end, the President instructed for a probe be launched into the activities as alleged by the Judges. The Judges had alleged that Amaechi attempted to bribe them in more than one occasion.Information available to us reliably confirms a probe into the claims of the Judges were launched based on the instructions of Mr. President. All of the bank accounts known to belong to Amaechi, according to our source, have been placed under watch – and the historical activity on the account sequestered.

In retaliation, the former Governor of Rivers State and the present Minister of Transport – Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi has chosen to go the route of blackmail. He is said to have opted to expose all involved parties in the said attempted bribery of the justices. “Amaechi has documentary evidence that shows Buhari was in-the-know about the attempt to bribe the Judges and how many of the campaign funds were raised.”

“Amaechi has assembled the documents and has sent over to Saharareporters, with whom he has a working financial relationship to publish the documents“, stated our source who explained that Amaechi had used his relationship with Saharareporters to push the All Progressive Congress [APC] change mantra. “The relationship is still existing”.

it is 10 years imprisonment, according to the 2014 Anti G.a.y law.

…why is ABS Awka Silent?

On 13 January 2014, president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan signed into law the Same-S*x Marriage Prohibition Act, which parliament passed in May 2013. The law follows a similar one passed in Uganda in December 2013, which imposes life imprisonment for some types of homos*xual acts.

It is also a crime to have a meeting of homos*xuals, or to operate or attend a gay club, society or organization. Public show of same-s*x intimate affection is also outlawed. Offenders may be jailed for up to 10 years.

A section of the law states, “Any person who registers, operates or participates in g@y clubs, societies and organisations or directly or indirectly makes public show of same-s*x amorous relationship in Nigeria commits an offence and shall each be liable on conviction to a term of 10 years in prison.”

PoliticsBribery Allegation: APC Goes Spiritual For Amaechi [Mus Read] by sweetsandy4luv(op):
Bribery Allegation: APC Goes Spiritual For Amaechi, Says God Will Surely Vindicate Him

….Berates PDP for calling for Minister’s resignation

…Describes such a call as vindictive, laughable, mischievous and shameless

The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has risen in stout defence of the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, dismissing calls for his resignation led by the State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following allegations by some recently arrested Judges that he tried to influence their rulings on some election petition cases.

Rivers APC in a statement issued on Monday in Port Harcourt and signed by the State APC Chairman, Chief (Dr.) Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, insisted that Amaechi is clean and not guilty as charged. “We are convinced that God, who has always fought for Amaechi, will continue to save and strengthen him and will once again vindicate him,” the party said.

It lambasted both Rivers PDP, the National PDP and others who have joined in calling on Amaechi to resign and for his probe based on the allegations of attempted bribery levelled by some sponsored and drowning judges who were looking for a tool to stay afloat as not only vindictive, shameless, laughable, mischievous but exposure of a clique that is so desperate to expose and express their ignorance and evil plots against a man whom they see as the arrowhead that dislodged them from power at the centre.

“These calls being championed by the PDP are just the latest manifestation of the party’s frustration and fight against Amaechi in retaliation for his role in dislodging the PDP Government at the centre during the 2015 presidential elections.

These useless calls based on the unfounded and baseless attempted bribery allegations against the former Rivers State Governor and Minister of Transportation confirms our fears and stand that the two discredited Justices made these allegations as part of a political strategy to destroy APC and run down the political fortunes of this rising star.

PDP is only acting out its frustration over the key role that Amaechi played to end the corruption system engineered by the past PDP administration at the centre but let us assure the public that this plot has already failed before it was hatched because no sound Nigerian will buy this lame allegation that have no logical stand,” Rivers APC said.

PoliticsONDO 2016: Ijaws People Reject Jegede’s Deputy, Back Akeredolu by sweetsandy4luv(op): 4:56pm On Oct 23, 2016
With just a few weeks to the November 26 governorship election in Ondo state, a mass defection of PDP followers in Ese-Odo Local Government Area is imminent as political leaders from the Ijaw speaking area of the state have rejected the choice ‎of Hon John Ola Mafo as deputy governorship candidate.

Ese-Odo Local Government Area is a PDP stronghold and had accounted for over sixty percent of votes the party garnered in the 2015 general election in Ondo state.

But ‎the looming defection is coming on the heels of the nomination of Mafo, a former commissioner for sports in the state as running mate to the factional candidate of the PDP, Mr Eyitayo Jegede, SAN.

A PDP leader from Ese-Odo, Hon Sunday Tundigha, in a statement issued in Akure the Ondo state capital on behalf of Aggrieved Ese-Odo PDP Leaders’ Forum, faulted the emergence of Mafo, saying it ”defied all known logics and political justice”.

”Our local government is the only Ijaw speaking local government and had delivered over thousand votes for the PDP in the last presidential and National Assembly elections with over ninety percent.

”We were however, surprised that the leadership of the party decided to turn logic on its by giving the deputy governorship slot to a local government without any voting value for the PDP. This is more so that‎ AD’s Olusola Oke is from the same local government. This defies logic and every known political justice.

”We are therefore giving Governor Olusegun Mimiko and the leadership of the PDP forty eight hours from now,to withdraw Mafo and replace him with an indigene of Ese-Odo. Any thing short of this will result to mass defection from the party. It is sad that an individual from Ese-Odo could sell out this golden opportunity for our people just because of his future political ambitions. We will resist this selfish and short-sighted political calculation.
According to h‎im, the aggrieved leaders of the PDP have resolved to work for the success of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) , Chief Rotimi Akeredolu.

”Between now and the expiration of the ultimatum, we have put all our supporters on notice to mobilize for Chief Rotimi Akeredolu of the APC. This is because his running mate, Hon Agboola Ajayi, the Ambassadorial nominee, Barrister Sola Iji as well as the Senior Technical Adviser to the Minister of state for agriculture, Mr Donald Ojogo are distinguished sons of our local government”, he said in the statement.

One of the deputy governorship hopefuls from the local government prior Mafo’s emergence, Chief Pere Ganfo has also warned that the PDP might face dire electoral consequences over the decision it took against Ese-Odo.

”Honestly, since the announcement of Mafo, I have received several complaints from our people who feel short changed, used and dumped. They are unhappy because the party did not deem it needful to consider our current electoral value to the PDP.

It means we are not needed in the party. ‎But as a party man,‎ I have been trying to assuage their feelings trying to calm them but I doubt if I will continue to have such capacity to do that, and you know what that means”, Ganfo said.

PoliticsJudiciary Wing Of The Wailers Go For Amaechi’s Jugular - APC by sweetsandy4luv(op): 8:12am On Oct 22, 2016
“He that studieth revenge keepeth his own wounds green, which otherwise would heal and do well.” – John Milton (1608 – 1674)

By Chris Finebone

As soon as the Department of State Services (DSS), in obedience to relevant laws of the land relating to arrest and detention, released arrested Justices on personal recognition within 24 hours of arrest, a certain mixed feelings enveloped yours truly. Over time, the mixed feelings quickly transmuted into a cross breed of fear and eeriness.

The reason for what looked like my needless worry was because going by the peculiar tendencies of our countrymen to convolute the air especially when caught in the act of doing evil; I very well knew that corruption will fight back with an uncommon ferocity never known before.

After all, the bursting of judicial corruption in Nigeria was unheard of, and probably thought of as impossible, before now. Indeed, my major concern was that those arrested and released so swiftly would have sufficient time and company of evil associates who will present to them pages and options of scripts taken from their ignoble book of mischief on how to fight back.

They will also provide legal assistance and deep purses to take the fight to President Muhammadu Buhari and his government.

It only took a few hours before one of the embattled Judges, Justice Adeniyi Ademola dispatched a letter into the media space in which he strenuously blamed the Attorney-General of the Federation [AGF] and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami for his woes.

According to the judge, “A DSS official finally informed me that my arrest was based on these three allegations; petition of Hon. Jenkins Duvie dated 4th of April 2016 to the National Judicial Council (NJC); granting bail to Col. Sambo Dasuki and the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu; and using my office to secure my wife’s appointment as the head of civil service, through Senator Bola Tinubu.”

Ademola said he saw his arrest as revenge from Abubakar Malami, whose arrest and detention he ordered over a professional misconduct while he was judge in Kano between 2004 and 2008. Indeed, story for the gods!

In his hurry to concoct an alibi, Justice Ademola conveniently forgot to expatiate on the petitions he acknowledged were written against him but rather dwelled copiously but disingenuously on the red herring he created around the AGF. The reasons for dragging in the national leader of the APC, Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu and AGF Malami are many.

He wanted the sympathy of BAT and his followers and in Malami, Justice Ademola found a fitting personality right in the heart of the Buhari government who he can use to blackmail the President and his government. Is there a better way for corruption to fight back than this?

Just as Nigerians were conditioning themselves to the emerging melodrama by Justice Adeniyi Ademola, another embattled judge of the Supreme Court, Justice John Inyang Okoro and his collaborators in Akwa Ibom and Rivers State were concluding a different episode in what has now become the grand epic movie in which the central theme is the get-him-at-all-cost quest for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation in the Buhari government. In a self-deprecating letter to the CJN and widely circulated in the media, Justice John Okoro rambled, huffed and puffed about how Amaechi approached him to pervert justice in the 2015 governorship election matters of Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Abia States.

He claimed to have mentioned the matter to the CJN at the time but never bothered to follow the prescription of the law in such a circumstance which required him to put it in black and white to his boss and also report to security agencies.

In his hurry to manufacture lies, a supposed experienced Supreme Court judge conveniently forgot the provisions of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission Act 2000; 23(1) which says:

“Any public officer to whom any gratification is given, promised, or offered, in contravention of any provision of this Act, shall report such gift, promised or offer together with the name, if known, of the person who gave, promised or offered such gratification to him to the nearest officer of the commission or police officer.”

Not a few Nigerians have raised questions about the highly mendacious and self-incriminating letter by Justice John Okoro. What will be the basis for Amaechi to approach Justice Okoro to pervert justice in the Akwa Ibom governorship matter when he could not have been enlisted on the panel as an indigene of Akwa Ibom State?

What really is the nexus between his wild allegations and what the DSS has accused him of? As men of the law, why is it that neither Justice Okoro nor the CJN followed the provisions of the law if an attempt was made to bribe a Supreme Court judge?

Following on the heels of Justice John Inyang Okoro’s spurious allegations, came yet another letter by another Supreme Court judge, Justice Nwali Sylvester Ungwuta. Again, Ungwuta took refuge under the name of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who he shamelessly concocted white lies against, claiming the Minister attempted to bribe him to pervert justice in electoral matters.

Ungwuta also dragged in Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu to further confer the toga of credibility on the plot by the shamed judges to square up with the PMB government and possibly halt the war against corruption as it relates to the judiciary.

Today, what has become very apparent is that there were several well organised rehearsals by these embattled and alleged bad eggs in the judiciary to hit back at the very heart beat of the Buhari administration as corruption fights back.

We know that the idea is that the easiest way to hit at the very heart of a strongman is to harm his favourite offspring. Same persons who are hell bent on humiliating the PMB government continue to explore from their mischief box. They started with avenging the defeat of their man, which seems to be failing. Now, they have turned on Amaechi and that will also fail.

It is also worthy of note that all those who have been rueing their loss of the 2015 Presidential election have quickly regrouped to exact their pound of flesh from the very undisputed game changer and driver of the PMB victory which ensured the effective consignment of their Man Friday, the Otuoke man, to the backwaters of history. And that man is Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi CON.

The flurry of activities in Government House Port Harcourt has since heightened. We have heard plots to air CCTV footages. But all those insidious plans cannot be more than the previous plots. They failed then, they will fail now.

Those evil iron-cast conspiracies will all lie in ruins. It is a matter of time. For them, Amaechi has become the proverbial alligator pepper that must be ever present in every brew by traditional medicine men.

Save Nigerians from hunger, sufferings, EFCC probe won’t distract me,
Fayose tells FG

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has told the Federal
Government to pay attention to hunger and suffering ravaging Nigeria
and its people and leave him alone, saying; “This project ‘Fayose must
be implicated at all cost’ will definitely not put food on the tables
of Nigerians and for all I care, the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC) and its collaborators can keep running from pillar
to post while I keep delivering good governance to Ekiti and its
people.”

The governor, who dismissed the reported claim that former Minister of
State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro confessed to the EFCC
that he received fund from the Office of the National Security Adviser
(ONSA) under Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd) to fund his election, said; “We
have gone pass this stage of media trial, EFCC should rather keep its
gun powder dry, when we get to the bridge, we will cross it. They said
more than this in the 2006 poultry scam blackmail, despite that, I am
the governor today.”

According to a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Public
Communications and New Media Lere Olayinka and made available to NEWSFLASHNGR.COM, Governor Fayose said he was only reacting just to fulfil all righteousness because Nigerians
are more interested in having food on their tables, adding that;
“those who arranged the dramatic and compromised return of Senator
Obanikoro to Nigeria obviously did so in continuation of their project
‘Fayose must be implicated at all cost’ but I am not bothered because
my election was legitimately funded.

“However, if this is why they are intimidating judges and the
judiciary, it won’t work as far as my own matter is concerned as no
one can play God.

“As far as I am concerned, I am busy here in Ekiti attending to the
welfare and well-being of my people. I won’t be distracted.”

While challenging the EFCC to also beam its searchlights on the
funding of APC elections, Governor Fayose said; “Since we are now in
the era in which financial assistance from Nigerians to fund elections
is being criminalised, the international community, especially those
funding EFCC must insist that the commission probes the funding of APC
elections before further funds are released to the commission.”

Governor Obiano Demonstrate The True Meaning Of Change, Ask His Media Team To Stop Responding To Any Attacks On Him [Photos]

NEWSFLASHNGR—-Chief Willie OBIANO, the people’s Governor

No more responses to attacks.

In his latest and commendable move to build on the bridge of peaceful and productive relationships across the entire Anambra State and its stakeholders, Governor Willie Obiano has, again, extended the proverbial olive branch to his predecessor, Mr. Peter Obi.

Obiano who, in August this year, publicly embraced and fraternally apologized to Obi for any infractions and disagreement has, today Sunday October 16, 2016 instructed his media team “to desist from responding to or initiating any attacks against the person of my brother, friend and predecessor in office, former Governor Peter Obi.”

Chief Obiano, a banker, also instructed his team “to direct all its energy and creativity towards drawing attention to the numerous achievements of our two-and-a-half-year old administration in the state.”

The governor who is widely applauded for showing a great promise within a short period in office also reaffirmed his “commitment to changing the story of Anambra State. Therefore, it would be counterproductive to waste energy in answering every negative report that is intended to distract me from work.”

Since he took over from former Governor Obi in March 2014, Governor Obiano has made commendable efforts to build on the foundation he inherited from his predecessors; stamping out violent crime in the state, changing the landscape of Awka the state capital with quality roads and bridges, doubling the state’s internally generated revenue, uplifting the condition of workers with a raise in salary that defies recession and rebuilding the social fabric of Anambra State.

2: Why Gov. Obiano must be re-elected. The True Meaning of Change!

When the guns fell silent at the end of the Biafran War, South East Nigeria was a pile of rubble caking in the sun. Despair hung in the air and people inhaled it and heaved a sigh of relief at the strangeness of peace. War and naked ugliness had become familiar.
Some lives melted away like palm oil in the midday sun; those who survived the war but had too much self-esteem to survive the listlessness of peace.

Those who could not live with the privations, the dispossessions and the stripping away of dignity! To face the reality of defeat and loss of honour, some people needed a new identity. So, names were changed. Identities altered. Yet there were some who chose a path that had neither guile nor honour; those who picked up weapons and wended their way to the crossroads by the Niger. Welcome to Upper Iweka. The erstwhile capital of crime in South East Nigeria!

And so, for four decades, Upper Iweka was a sad reminder of Africa’s most savage war. A theater for the criminal use of the arms left behind by retreating soldiers. The baggage of violent crime and increasing individuation of its residents stood in the way of the likelihood of any big banging commercial explosion in Onitsha. In fact, at a point, it was common place for people to look the other way while someone was being robbed in the city.

This Is Totally Shameful And Unacceptable: How Can Reigning Champions, Enugu Rangers Parade Their Nigeria Premier League Trophy Like This? (Photos)

No matter the excuse or whatever the team management or anyone close to Rangers camp might have for this shameful showing, Nigerians and the league organizing body must demand an apology for this childish act while some sanctions should be imposed on the team.I mean this is professional league not primary six competition.

How can you parade the most priced trophy in this manner? A trophy 20 teams competed for.

Whoever that suggest this shameful act must be prosecuted immediately, that’s an insult to the country, NFF, the League management company and even to the fans, how can you collect over N40 million and still put up this shameful show? If not for anything i would have suggest the title be striped off Rangers and handed over to the league second runners up, so next time the club will know that this is our own version of English Premier League, the La Liga or even Italian Serie A.
My people what punishment do you think should be melted out to this clubhuh

Just In: War Of Words Looms In Anambra As Ifeanyi Ubah Dares Obiano, No You Can’t Blackmail Me
…you have blood in your hands – Ifeanyi Ubah’s aide

It seems Governor Obiano has chosen the part of blackmail against the opposition in the state.

To achieve this, the gov’s media team through a fake Premium Times website dish out the various forms of blackmails and attacks against many prominent Anambrains as alleged by Ifeanyi Ubah’s aid.

They are also using the fake Premium Times website to attack President Buhari and his wife over the interview granted by the wife of the president on the state of the nation.

For the records, Premium Times is respectable online news portal and it is so unfortunate how a media team team of the governor could clone their website just to use it to attack President Buhari and other opposition in his state.

Yesterday, one Amb Adichie Izuchukwu who is attached to the office of Governor Obiano’s Senior Special Assistant on Media (social) circulated a news using the Premium Times cloned website.
Now, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah has warned Obiano and his media team to stay off him. Ubah made the call through his SA media, Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia after the governor’s media team published a fake story alleging that Ubah was a ritualist.

The story which was written by Obiano’s brother from Aguleri and a member of his media, one Jude Iyke was circulated online by govt house online media team.

Reacting to the publication, the gallant SA media to Ifeanyi Ubah, posed these questions to Obiano suggesting the governor has bloods in his hands and should desist from blackmailing prominent citizens of the state over his second tenure ambition.

Mr Onyia stated; ” I hereby drop this question to this guy sent for executing this hatchet job: Was Willie Obiano a peace maker during that war (Umuleri/Aguleri war) or a Financier?

Was he not a war financier? Why did they give him the title Akpokuedike Aguleri thereafter the war?”.”Before picking another person for blackmail, please ask the Gov Obiano the foregoing questions.

The blood of Anambrarians wasted in that avoidable communal war needed answers in relation to the above stated questions.”, Onyia concluded.

Ifeanyi Ubah therefore advised Obiano to stop blackmail and commit himself to developing the state.

“I hereby call to remind you that what Anambra people want is development not blackmail.

However, when you chose to engage into blackmailing Ndi Anambra instead of working for Ndi Anambra, you only make Correction 2017 easier.”

JUST IN: Buhari Insists I Wasn’t Joking When I Said, My Wife — Belongs To The Kitchen And The Other Room

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has doubled down on his comments mocking his wife, Aisha Buhari. Ironically, Buhari’s remarks were made in the presence of one of the most powerful people in the world, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, a woman.

Buhari has come out to contradict his spokesperson, Garba Shehu who dismissed his principal’s remarks to German journalists, in which he said that his wife ‘belongs to the kitchen, the living room and the other room“.

Following the outrage that greeted the president’s misogynic comments in Germany, his media aides attempted damage control by saying that he believes in the role of women in nation building and since Buhari laughed before making the comment, then it could be believed that what he said after was a joke.

In an exclusive interview with DW’s Phil Gayle, President Buhari insisted that his wife Aisha should stay out of politics.

“Recently your wife criticized your choices for top jobs, and you responded by saying “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room.” What did you mean by that, sir?”, DW asked President Buhari.
In his response to the question, President Buhari said: “I am sure you have a house. … You know where your kitchen is, you know where your living room is, and I believe your wife looks after all of that, even if she is working.””

“That is your wife’s function?”, DW made an attempt to clarify, to which Buhari replied: “Yes, to look after me.”

“And she should stay out of politics?”, DW asked again. “I think so”, Buhari insisted.
Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu in an effort to clarify the President’s initial comment which has long gone viral said that “He was obviously throwing a banter.”

Garba in a series of tweets said “My friends, can’t a leader get a sense of humour anymore? Mr. President laughed before that statement was made.

“Politics sometimes should be spiced with humour. Those of us close to him knows there is never a dull moment with him.

“Mr. President respects the place of women in our society. He believes in the abilities of women.
“One of Nigeria’s most sensitive office today is headed by a woman, Mrs. Adeosun. This is an evidence of the confidence he reposes on women.”

EXPOSED: Do You Know President Buhari Had Divorced Aisha His Wife, 3 Times Since 2015?

By 2015 when he emerged President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has divorced his wife Mrs. Aisha Buhari twice due to disagreement between the couple…

The divorce were, however, said to have been in accordance to the Islamic injunction which the wife will be forced to park out of her husband’s house at the third time.

Our source, a closed friend of the first family revealed that all is not well between the President and his wife because of the lifestyle Mrs. Aisha has adopted since her husband became the President which President Buhari is not comfortable with. The first divorce, according to our source took place three week after Mr. Buhari was declared President-elect and was awaiting the official sworn in ceremony, Aisha Buhari were said to have defied instruction of her husband to attend a public function organized in Imo state by the Progressives Governors Forum of APC.

At the said function hosted by the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, Aisha Buhari was reported to have made a statement which the President was not happy about.

The source added that: “the second divorce took place about two months ago immediately Mrs. Buhari returned from her trip to the United State of America (USA) where she met with Barak Obama’s wife.

“The President was surprised to see his wife in the manner she dressed in shot skirt which some Islamic leaders in the North also called the attention of Mr. President to.”

President Buhari, who our source said was bitter about this told his wife Aisha about his intention to divorce her for the second time.

The recent outburst of Mrs. Buhari against her husband however, continue to generate reactions. While some Nigerians felt good with the first lady, others think otherwise, suspecting that all may not be well between the Nigerian first family.

BREAKING!!! Police Barricades Awka The Anambra State Capital, Over Town Union Election

The police on Saturday barricaded major streets and hotels in Awka, the Anambra state capital over the town union election of the community.

The Emmaus House complex venue of the election was cordoned off by a sea of police men and other security agents.

Which made it difficult for commuters to pass through the Arthur Eze Avenue without being stop and searched.

Famous Choice hotel near the venue of the election was also under police surveillance.

This made some of the people involved in the election to move to Finotel hotel, a distance of about two kilometers to address the press about the development.

Shortly after the movement to the new venue, 10 trucks loaded with armed policemen followed them to the place.

A police officer, identified as DPO Agbaje told the gathering at the Finotel hotel that, “I have the instruction of my CP to stop this gathering.
“This gathering cannot continue, Agbaje maintained.

When contacted on the telephone about the unusual police presence in the state capital , the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs Nkeiru Nwode said the police were deployed to maintained peace and order.
She also added that “is to ensure that hoodlums do not capitalize on the situation to cause mayhem”.

Addressing the press, some stakeholders in the community described the situation as “militarization of our society”.

The Chairman of caretaker committee, Awka Development Union of Nigeria, Mr Emmanuel Okechukwu, a lawyer, said the grouse of the police was that the community did obtained permission from them to conduct the election.

“This is military hangover. There is no law known to me that says, you must obtain police permit before you can conduct a peaceful town union election.

“Do you need to get police permit to eat food? All these are military mentality. This must stop.

“But one thing is clear, we must conduct this election, even if it means conducting in my room, it must be conducted, Okechukwu submitted.

The Abuja branch chairman of the union, Mr Emeka Onyeaka said the branches of the union returned to Awka to participate in the election following a court order that the election should be conducted within 90 days.

He expressed sadness that a certain government official was frustrating the whole exercise for selfish interest.

PoliticsGovernor Willie Obiano Tells Buhari – Return Anambra N43bn Now Or… by sweetsandy4luv(op): 11:50am On Oct 15, 2016
As reported by one of our reporters in Awka…

The Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, on Tuesday, urged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to refund the N43bn the state spent on the rehabilitation of federal roads.

The governor said the reimbursement was necessary to facilitate the rehabilitation of more federal roads in the state, which were in deplorable conditions. The governor, who spoke through his Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy, Ogbuefi Tony Nnacheta, after an executive council meeting, said withholding the money had incapacitated the state from rehabilitating more federal roads.

He said, “The total sum we expended on federal roads in the state was N48bn. But on their own, the Federal Government worked it out and arrived at N43bn.

“We agreed and asked them to pay us but nothing has come from them. This has made us to stop the rehabilitation of federal roads in the state.

“We need this money to enable us to do more federal roads in the state because our people are suffering because of the state of federal roads in the state.”

He said the stretch of the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway along Umunya community had remained a deathtrap because the state could not repair it on behalf of the federal government.

The governor, who described the Onitsha-Enugu Road as strategic, maintained that the volume of traffic on the road from other parts of the country reflected its socio-economic importance.
He said the government would commence on the construction of streetlights in the cities of the state in order to give them a befitting look.

APC Replies Tam-George: Your Accusation Mere Fiction From The Infantile, Degenerate Mind

The Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, said it has taken notice of a press statement by the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr. Austin Tam-George accusing the APC of planning to undermine the peace and security of Rivers State through planned protests.

According to the APC in a statement signed by its Rivers State Spokesman, Senibo Chris Finebone said, “The statement is the most fictional, puerile and outlandish story ever to come out of the infantile and degenerate mind of any living being anywhere on mother earth. Everything about that statement suggests that the author is planning a big scam on his principal, Gov. Nyesom Wike for monetary reward.”
The statement noted that, “the APC is worried that an adult could plot to obtain funds from his principal by contriving an imaginary scenario and cook up a false story in order to justify his next financial proposal to his principal at the expense of the name of All Progressives Congress, APC.”

The statement reads in full: “Sadly, we hear that the trend now within the Wike decrepit government is for officials to pull one scam or the other on the governor for monetary reasons. We cannot find any other reason for the fictional statement Dr. Tam-George shamelessly concocted and distributed to the media as press statement Friday.

“The APC has no tradition of causing chaos in Rivers State and the PDP government in the State knows that as a fact. Dr. Austin Tam-George should not use the name of APC to retire fictitious expenses of allocation of Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications. Neither should he use the name of our party to pass fake financial proposal to Gov. Nyesom Wike.

“We also know that the Commissioner’s resort to fake stories may not be unconnected with the redundancy that stares him in the face because of the reliance of the governor on his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu for most of government media activities. Dr. Tam-George should take his mischief elsewhere.”

PoliticsAPC Tells Wike — “leave Amaechi, Dakuku Alone, Deal With The Ant-infested Firewo by sweetsandy4luv(op): 3:19pm On Oct 13, 2016
Again, the Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, is compelled to go against its avowed principle not to respond to arrant nonsensical publications and press releases by the accidental PDP government in Rivers State under Gov. Nyesom Wike except, this time, to address the ludicrous issues raised in what appears to be their moment of disorientation, confusion and attempt to desperately drag down the reputation of notable leaders of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State.

Saharareporters

APC leaders in Rivers State [including Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Dr. Dakuku Peterside] have no direct, indirect or any other form of links with Saharareporters as an organisation or with any of its personnel. Records abound to prove that Amaechi and Peterside have, at one time or the other, come under intense scrutiny in the reports of Saharareporters. It begs the question when Gov. Nyesom Wike says that the two very busy respectable individuals can spare the time to think about the governor and how to sponsor Saharareporters to scrutinize him, his infamous reputation and derelict government.

Whether Gov. Wike bribed Supreme Court Judges

It is perhaps appropriate and well-timed that the press release by Gov. Wike has something to say about whether or not he bribed any Justices of the Supreme Court over the 2015 governorship matter. Well, from what is emerging today across the nation, the APC would like Rivers people and Nigerians to make their conclusions.

Is Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi indicted by any judicial panel anywhere?

It is a statement of fact that the Justice Omereji Panel that was set up by Gov. Nyesom Wike to target, foist and pin corruption charges on his predecessor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, failed woefully because it could not find anything to pin on the former governor. To this day, despite all the challenges by Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi for the state government to take him to court, it has been impossible because there is absolutely no ground to do so and the state government knows it. Unfortunately, the governor and his men have never sent out any press statement without their favourite hallucinatory mantra of N3 trillion received by the former governor – something contrived to fool ordinary Rivers people and Nigerians.

Indeed, it is sad and primitively disingenuous for the governor, his co-travellers and cohorts to huff and puff over an imaginary N3 trillion that got to Rivers State in Amaechi’s 8 years but often dishonestly display selective amnesia when they pretend to forget the many landmark projects and programmes of the Amaechi administration. A pen picture of just two out of many sectors where former governor Amaechi made landmark strides is presented here under. It is only a part, and not by any means, all of the achievements of the former governor, as at when his administration ended May 29, 2015.
