@tessybaby, big congrats to you. may God bless and keep ur LO, amen |
@imurboss, my cousins wife had this condition when she had thier 2nd baby. Her placenta did not move away up till the time of labor, so she had to be operated upon. since ur pregnancy is still like 30weeks, there is still possibility of the placenta moving away and that is why u have been asked to do a repeat scan. by God's grace, it will move away. I'll remember u in my prayers and u'll bring forth a healthy baby, amen. @yinkes, induction of labor is no big deal as I have seen some1 who experienced it. We were together in the labor ward when I had my 1st baby. she was given the drug to induce her close to midday and her labor progressed so fast, she gave birth minutes after I did in the evening. She told me that the labor was painful though. but u know, labor is naturally painful. Although when labor is induced but does not progress normally, then the next option is a C/S. |
@adfman sorry about ur loss. May God never let u xperience such again. my love to ur wifey. |
afrobaby: is one expected to pay for antenatal registration at general hospital, thxour general hospitals are not free in 9ja. during my 1st preg, I used one in lag b4 comming down to PH and I had to pay for antenatal. there was also stipulated fee for when u want to deliver. PH is even more expensive as ANC fee is as high as #18k in some public hospitals. |
@demmykay, Sorry bout ur loss. May God replace it with smthn better, beyond ur xpectations.amen |
agiboma: @ tessy well my only sugestion to help speed up the process would be to get hubby in a nice mood and try to go a few rounds@tessy, i had a similar xprience with my first pregnancy, and in addition to what agiboma said, walk around more often and dance, dance, dance!!! |
@demmykay, attimes at 9weeks, the heartbeat might not be felt cos of the position of the baby. at any rate though, stay calm and continue praying. God is ur strength. |
congrats ayobarmy. may God bless ur LO and increase ur family even more, amen. @daimondlove, u have to be strong, ma dear, but most importantly, even if u dont use any supplements, use ur folic acid. take it @night. |
@agiboma, great advise! I use the manual pump, and if I had to express then, I only did it once a day. I'll try to do it more often cos I want to make sure i am able to give this baby, when it arrives, 6mths exclusive breastfeeding. I cannot quantify the advantages. My daughter is 18months and I am still breastfeeding even with this pregnancy. It is a relief for me kind of cos my bosoms hurt so much during pregnancy, so breastfeeding her makes it less heavy. I intend breastfeeding till i put to bed since i do not have any complications. |
@osikhueme, sorry bout ur xperience with eko hosp.My neighbour had a similar one with a private hosp in PH. She and baby were even delayed for more than 10days. It got so bad that in the name of treating jaundice, they had to take blood from baby's head cos they could not find veins anywhere else. They were doin this to increase the number of days they spend in their hospital so that they can bill the husband's company more. They just kept exposing the child to one miserable flourescent light. May God just protect us from some bad practices of our private hospitals. @afrobaby, when i had my first child, i got a job exaclty when she was 6mths, then i had stopped exclusive breastfeeding, but still i just found a creche close to my office to keep her. I was alwz goin there during lunch time to checkup on her and once its 4pm, I was outta the office. But with this new one we r expecting, I dont know how i'll cope with exclusive breastfeeding for 6mths cos it takes me hours to express one full feeding bottle. I might still keep baby in a creche, but i am looking at options of being self-employed, cos ma dear, i must confess, stress dey quick kill ooo. |
@osikhueme: big congrats to u and ur LO. may God guide, bless and keep him, amen |
@dudugirl, i am extremely excited for u, and am glad u did not eventually request for induction. may God bless u and ur LO. |
congrats dudugirl. thank God baby and u r in good health. may god keep and bless the child, amen. |
big congrats amarush. may God bless and keep the child, amen |
infogenius: Good day all. its quite some time I have been on Naira land and I see so much info in the air already. Good job.She should not be having severe pain in the spine area and pains in her joints. seek medical help immediately. the swellings should not be happening also for now. She should increase her water intake, at least 2.5l daily, try keeping her feet up, and dont sit for a long time.she should move around. The tiredness comes with pregnant. She should rest more often. meanwhile, let her register for antenatal.she should make sure her b.p and early morning urine should be checked during each visit. also when she's in her third trimester, around 28-30 weeks, she is going to be tested for gestational diabetes. |
@dudugirl, dearie, do not ask for an induction unless ur doc advises so.It has got its disadvantages. besides, if it doesnt follow through as planned, then the next option will be a ceasarian section. so my dear, hang in there and let things go through the normal process. for u to have gone through 38weeks, then 2wks - 4wks should be a walk in the park for u.God is ur strength and will c u thru. |
@tessybaby although u should be expecting ur baby anytym from now, try to invest ur time in doing some perineal massages and also kegel excercises. this would help ur perineum stretch during delivery. another option is for u to request for an episiotomy so u can be sure that the tear would just be in a definite place and not multiple tears. stay strong and go into labor with the feeling that u can do it!! |
@demmykay, eat less of fried foods, take lots of water and u can also use mist-mag |
@idprincess sorry about ur loss. may God strengthen you and make ur subsequent births easy. amen |
idprincess, mine did not ease up until I gave birth. u might just have to manage it. |
@idprincess, God is surely ur strength, and whether he likes it or not he'll come back to his senses. as per ur bosoms, get a tight fitting bra. Am sure that will help. Wear the bra all day and night. |
Jemibee:pls dearie, copy the URL of this post and send to his email. He sure will apprecaite u even more |
I am in my 27th week with my second child. First pregnancy was a good one with normal birth. Got treated for malaria 2ice and got treated for thypoid as a result of recurring headaches. This 2nd pregnancy has been stressfree too except for recurring headaches. i have not discussed with my doc yet but i hope to during my ANC visit next week. |

Fashola should stop this nasty propaganda. He keeps making things difficult for people and tries to make no big deal about it. AC will definitely loose the next elections if they keep on like this. |
Jonathan deserves every kinda insult passed at him. Clueless fool! Posterity will judge him. |

These pics are real. The second and third roads lead to Jaros Base in PH. The truth has to be told. i do not see any reason y amaechi wont re-construct these roads with the FG allocation and other allocation at his disposal. |
stagger:i tottally agree with u |
