I was at the Alausa passport office recently for a 32pages passport re-issue. Suprisingly, the staff at the immigration office said the FG was not producing 32pages for some time now and that those that applied since last month haven't even gotten. This applies to all their other offices in lagos. They were practically cajouling people to apply for 64pages, which comes at an extra cost.
This is calling on the responsible bodies to make the 32pages available.

I disagree with u. She is only expressing her point of view. I experienced some of the things she mentioned when I was still using caps and scarves. I think as muslims, we should be more tolerant, accept the fact that we all can't be on the same pedestal in terms of our relationship with Allah and the fact that some "scarf-ites" might even be more pious in the sight of Allah than some hijabites.

One thing I find challenging with the hijab is d issue of hairdo.To get a place to make ur hair is always a serious issue.1 of d complains dey give is "I cant close the door of my shop".
But I knw Allah is our source of help.

The fact that somethings were practised during the time of the prophet does not mean it is applicable to us.We shld not forget that Aisha(RA)'s marraige to the prophet was divine. She played a very signaficant role in the transmission of the way of life of the Prophet(SAW) to the ummah after the death of the prophet(saw).This singular feat shows us her level of intelligence. How many 12 yrs old girl in this age can boast of this level of intelligence, these are children that we still manage to make them observe salah and sawm.
And a candid question to the men : How many 25years old will marry a 40years old woman, basically for the love and not material gains.
We are always trying to do things we feel will favour us but run away from things we don't find pleasing. Abegi o, I have a lot of ripe sisters looking for husbands o. Let us get those ones out of the way first before thinking of the small ones that we'll be teaching how to even wash plates and wear pants properly!!!

In as much as sisters need to look chic, I think we should not undermine the commandment of Allah regarding hijab. We should try not to compromise, though difficult. I get comments at work on how they see muslim sisters that use "chic" hijabs and they feel mine's too big, but the bottomline is I am doin it to please Allah so nothing else matters.

When a child is about to start having teeth,it comes with diarhoea...this normal physiological process does not cause diarhoea in itself but when the child is abt to start teething,he develops itchy gums and may want to use any nearby object to "stratch" d gums.these objects may be infected and that's what may cause diarhoea

If a child is brillant,its normally a trait gotten from d father..research how ever proofs dat" academic excellence" is a trait that is transfered to the child from d mother...ofcourse let's not forget that external facts has a huge role to play too

Looking at a person with conjuctivitis would automatically mean that d infection wud be transmitted to the
"Looker"....its mainly transmitted via contact.that is if d infected person who touches his eyes and shakes anoda person,he might pass in infection to him if he go and touches his eyes with that infected "hand"

When bad blood accumulates in a part of the body,it can cause illness so that blood must be let out of the blood by making small incisions on that body part...this has no medical backing

I am very passionate about my 2yr old understanding and speaking Yoruba, so a lot of times I communicate with her in yoruba but most times she's always speaking English. she surprised me one day when she was about leaving my room and said "Mummy come and silekun for me".

took me 3days to read through this thread from the 1st page. Reading thru evryone's story bring tears to my eyes.
i join in thanking God for those who have gotten their LOs ( blendy,olikili,mamapikin etc). May God continually make them a source of joy to ur family, to those on the 9m course(inwangobio, pm5337, believer etc) may God make it a smooth journey for u and make u all bring for great and pious children).
for my sisters (psalm23, venus,safe,amazeballs,abibby, others i cant remeber) still in God's waiting list, u are in my prayers. It doesnt reduce God's bounty if he decides to give everyone children, which i am hopeful he will. STAY STRONG AND NEVER DESPAIR OF GOD's MERCY. HE WILL SURELY DO IT.

she was not really explicit but was saying things like having a long term effect on kidney, and she mentioned something like ulcer. I cannot remember much now, but the fact that she told me i should not use, i just had to stop then.
she told me to take normal precautions in the house, like keeping a clean environment to avoid diarrhoea, and if baby had diarrhoea, use 1st aid like ORT and take baby to clinic if it does not stop.
she also said if baby was having very high temperatures that cant be controlled by PCM, that i shd see a doc.she said most likely, baby has an infection or fever.
Really i have found this to be true in most cases since i stopped Piccan for my daughter. i have not used it for my new baby either and he's doin well.
