After the initiatial warning by the state govt to stay at home for yet another week in akwa ibom state, the only market that has bluntly front this order for the past two weeks is ikot ambang market a major market in ibiono ibom Lga. between the hours of 8 and 9 am, a group of disguised men said to be members of the sars dept of Nigerian police force suddenly made an arrival at the said market and started packing foods stuffs, beef nd any thing they could lay their hands on. this led to a revolt by the locals, the crowds were doubling up by in seconds so the sars officers began shoot in the air to scare people away, this was how they got a little chance to get into their vehicles then they ran like hell. this led to a pandemenium and everywhere thrown to chaos the streets were blocked waiting for their re-enforcement but they were wise enough no to. till now ikot abang market is still selling.
