There are people who still think that the quest (by Igbo naturally as the lead ethnic group in the East) for a united East is about "Igbo trying to steal our oil"; but according to FACTS as shown by the pictures in the OP, Igbo part of the East is flowing with more of the oil and gas than others'.

Another fact is that there is a scheme (old scheme) to cut off Igbo and then exploit the East. Once the Igbo is cut off and down, it is open season. That is what is happening today.

BTW why run all those pipelines from oilfields along river Niger all the way to the coast? Tankers can go up Niger stream, can't they?

I first noticed this ugly trend at a ceremony I attended a few months ago at Ayetoro Ekiti. Elderly and middle aged able bodied women from Kwara, Osun and Oyo states invaded the burial ceremony uninvited and were embarrassing guests who refused to give them money. Also noticeable were children with their begging bowls who thronged the venue of the ceremony soliciting for left over food and alms. The children were a pitiable sight. Poverty was clearly written on their faces. I have attended many social functions after that and the same trend was noticeable. But I became worried a few days ago, when I attended the burial ceremony of a friend's father in Ilesha , Osun State . They came in various groups and employ different methods in soliciting for alms. There were the elderly women who were busy harassing guests in the name of praise singing and would not leave until you part with money, there were the men with their public address system which they use in praise singing but which is disturbance and yet, there were Yoruba children in the mould of almajiris with their begging bowls scrambling for left-over and at the same time soliciting for alms

Well he challenged the Oba by appointing a Chieft in charge of Akure market. Thats very wrong. You dont go to someone's house and checking his wardrobe behind his back without getting questioned. It is also wrong for the man to wear crown to meet the Oba. There cant be two Kings in the same town. Even the Yorubas wont dare defy their Kings. It has nothing to do with being Igbos but a representative of Igbo parading himself as King. That Eze title self has convicted him. I don't really blame him for the actions he took. I remember the height of muslim bashing on Nairaland and up till now you still see things like islamabad in reference to islam being bad, mohammed and his 72 virgin thing, their turning to the east type of worship and all their doctrines which look alien to Christians. its difficult to pick out one insult the Muslims have said to Christians on this forum.
