There are two sides to a coin and knowing me, I like to look at everybody's point of view.
The problem with us Nigerians including me and you is that we fail to acknowledge the truth, hence we make do with half truths and lies. It's so bad that we even lie to ourselves. Several times in the past, the Ibos have been tagged arrogant, boastful and domineering especially when they claim to own 50 to 60 percent of businesses and properties all over Nigeria including major cities like Lagos, Abuja, Kano etc. Owners of those states ardently deny those statements. So it is surprising that the same people are now claiming that the Ibos own 60 to 70 percent of businesses and properties in their states and as such cannot abandon those ventures to go and create a new country. Which one should we believe?
I keep saying that the only thing that will keep Nigeria as one is the restructuring of Nigeria in line with Fiscal Federalism and Regional autonomy. Anything short of this, Nigeria will eventually go, maybe in 2 years time, maybe in 20. Nigeria runs the worst structure of government in the world. Even Obama will flounder as long as he rules under this structure.
It is unfortunate that we don't want to support restructuring because it will require sacrifices from all of us. Anything achievable must come with a price. If Biafra must come with a price, One Nigeria must also come with a price. While the Biafran agitators seem to be more ready to pay the price of their beliefs and struggle by laying down their lives in protests, the proponents of One Nigeria don't want to sacrifice anything to keep Nigeria one.
The solution to our problem is quite simple. Let's support the restructuring of Nigeria in line with Fiscal Federalism and see if you will hear ''Bia'' let alone ''fra''. Let's treat everyone fairly and equally. Without this, no amount of shouting or threats or insults will ever convince the members of this country to become one.
I tell people that our problems are very easy to solve. Do you want to stop bribery when processing your International passport/custom duties/driver's license etc? Make the payment system completely online just like when applying for foreign visas. Do you want true electoral reforms that will weed out underage voting/missing pvc/multiple voting/rigging etc? Then create an INEC database and do real biometric voting. Corruption and impunity? Create real separation of power.
We all know what to do. We choose not to do it. We insult and cast aspersions on everyone who doesn't agree with our point of view while failing miserably to see the views of others. George Elliot said, "It is a narrow mind which cannot look at a subject from various points of view."
Make we dey here dey argue whether Biafra go come or not. Or whether One Nigeria is feasible or not. But one thing is for sure. Either the system changes or it breaks apart.

If the protest was peaceful or scheduled to be a peaceful protest, I see no reason why IGP would be making such statement. In that case the statement from IGP sounds more like a "threat" to democracy, if it was a peaceful protest..

Also be mindful, IPBO all have the right to free speech and should be allowed to express themselves as long as the protests were "peaceful".

Without resort to his old works, let's talk about the most recent offerings like "TESOJUE" with a lot of sexually driven lyrics and an 18+ video to "SKILASHII" and most recently "KPOMO" which caps it all, it seems REMINISCE is fast taking up the crown as Nigeria's most lewd rapper and musician and this new found love for been "raw" seems to be paying the bills as he is getting more recognition these days and isn't relenting. Is there any other artiste there who is dropping more 'matured content' materials than REMINISCE?

Funny enough, it seems we are the most hypocritical people on earth, as we enjoy more of these songs and videos with 'mature content' rather than the normal hip-hop tunes from REMINISCE. Well as long as it pays and works for him, who are we to judge. But then a certain ease has to be taken with the way such contents keep been released by REMINISCE, it could get effing boring! Or is it getting? Well, I'll drop my pen at this juncture, and I would love to know if you agree with me that REMINISCE is officially Nigeria's most lewd artiste of 2015.

Depends on how you look at it. . I can't see any serious reason to believe things would have been rosy had Nzeogwu and co never acted. . Based on the reasons they adduced, I totally support their actions though I would have wished that Ifeajuna and co were more efficient and more successful in Lagos than they were. . The progroms that followed, were a direct consewuence of the fairlure of the operation in the Lagos areas, BBC Hausa sservice manipulation of public opinion against the coupists with octane level negative propoganda and ofcourse, Ironsis amature appeasement methods that totally backfired. . Nzeogwu was an officer who once worked in the intelligence unit of the army. His assertions were that there were credible intelligence that the power drunk sarduana was working with Akintola and some top military brass to overthrow the government. Infact before they struck, the fear both within the military and the political circles was of a northern coup.. How about if they never acted and the political paralysis already in place degenerated to a longer civil war like we had in Angola or Sudan? Like I said before, inaction is not an option here. You can't solve a problem by pretending it doesn't exist. .

The point I am trying to make is that your postulation of an easy change of government through democratic means had the coup never happened is highly debatable. . Following the massve rigging of the 64 general elections, internal political wranglings forced Zik not to invite any political party/ies to form the government. There was a total breakdown of law and order in the west leading to massive killings for months dubbed "operation wetie", . Essentially, the obstinate sarduna was ruining the south in his ambition to politically dominate and so needed to be checkmated, Nzeogwu did that effectively and should be praised for his uncommon gallantary. The net effects of what followed in my own opinion should be blamed largely on the lack of decisiveness in the southern front. Ifeajuna was a deputy Brigade commander yet displayed an alarming lack of ruthlessness/finess needed to wrap up the revolution. If we must lay blames, it is this failure in the southern part of the operations, followed by Ironsis macabre display of indecisiveness that are responsible for the igbo problems of today. If they succeded, and recreated a great country, they will be seen as heros with their names on the naira today....

The problem was not the coup or the effectiveness but the bloodshed. Too much bloodshed and the backlash lead to the civil war cos it seems pretty much like the Easterners snatched power via blood...this in turn climaxed into a fight against the Igbos,not only in the military but also on the streets. The Northern oligarchi made their people to believe the counter coup was justified because it seems to be a coup against their leaders rather than a coup against corrup leaders. Again,they could have consider this might happy and make it less bloody.
