Imagine a business with administrative cost almost 8 times the revenue. It would have been better if rendering administrative services was their core business instead of the said business they are into? |

mendes911: That I have waited till now does not mean I will buy at the lowest prices, I just want to buy when I will and have peace of mind. I no be MPeace wey chop liver North, South, East and West!!! I will buy once the euphoria of this Q3 results settles down.
We need to also take into consideration the recent waves of these Shi'ites members. They seems to get more bold as scores of them are killed, I just have a very bad feeling about them and this has nothing to do with 2019 elections though. This is fear in me speaking though.
I will surely be buying only after a downward trend of prices (hopefully) or end of November, whichever comes first.
This is only my plan and is based mainly on instincts and precedence. Make person no take am as advice shaaa, e don fail me before in 1938. Carry us along when you want to enter the market.. |

maishai: I once heard abdulsamad rabiu(bua) say he will never go into a business that sources raw materials abroad again in his life...... I believe this applies to most of our top business men in the country, flour milling, fuel distribution et al as a big venture for the likes of dangote, rabiu , elumelu is a thing of the past, the margin is very low, they now talk cement, sugar, rice, power..... If they get it right the likes of flormill, uacn, dangotesugar, refinery will sell for more than #400 in 5years time that if Our Nigerian management factor no perform their magic Bro, break this down a bit.. in layman's terms. |

DeRuggedProf: By the time all these results are out, pressure will gradually mount over the good stocks that have done well. E.g PEOPLE WILL VALUE Fidelity over Dangflour and the cash will move from there into Fidelity ( similar EPS, DANGEROUS PRICE GAP). Hmm, I now remember CP was always cautious here, always asking people to look at money made from core business. Any fool can sell assets.... I am still surprised that neither CP nor OGG has commented on Aiico, or did I miss a class? |

Deadlytruth: Seems the EPS drop is now predictable.....by 9 kobo every third qoq. From N0.43 in 2016 to N0.34 in 2017 to N0.25 in 2018. We may likely have N0.16 in Q3 2019 What is the constituent of this Financial asset with net fair value loss @ (3,088,320,000) that looks like an embezzlement in this Aiico result? Is it the same as the unrealized losses and gains which can change before year end? |

currentprice: in my own opinion,,this result is not that good o , eps is 2.57 as against 5.04 pple looking at
their last Q was even better than current Q
fairprice is N25
onegentleguy: The company has done well given where they are coming from. Earnings drive has gapped up (both QoQ & over 9M) and is very much in line to beat that of the proceeding yr. (YoY) The N5.04 EPS is the TTM figure [(3.61-0.04) + 1.47], but that projection is feasible. How? ...Look at the PROFIT MARGIN, GROSS MARGIN, EBITDA MARGIN, and ETERPRISE VALUE. Even at an adjusted discount figure of 15% (attaching a 13% risk free rate to a premium of 2%), Fair Value should compute as approx N34. ...which means there's a potential value gap to tap from.
However, while their result is good, there are much better companies on the bourse right now. ...there are better value and growth driven coys that one can BUY !!
Disclosure: I currently do NOT hold a single unit in JBERGER. Disclaimer: Due diligence is still advised as always pls. Noted..!! |

Chibuking81:
A well said, but reverse is the case, election bear will not allow it, 2019 general election campaign will start on November 16 next month. It will come with high tension, the building up has scared the foreign portfolio investors out, the ruling party are seriously having great challenge after their primary, most of APC strongholds state are in deep problem with their National chairman/executive, the likes of Zamfara, Ogun, Imo, are still struggling, then Rivers, Adamawa, and so many others state APC party are in great dispute.
After this q3 result, the q4 result been the final year result will start coming out by February with most companies releasing theirs towards end of March, that is 90 days from December ending. Which is long after election. February will be a good time to take position, bonanza must surely come. Oga Chibuking, why am I laughing? |
