GonFreecss1: How much stock you hold doesn't matter. You should have what you use to value your stocks, if they fall in that criteria buy it, if not move on.
Even Warren Buffet agrees that diversification in stocks is for people who don't know what they are doing.
That's my 1 kobo, I am not an Oga though. Very correct. I would suggest 1 each from 3 sectors you understand the terrain the most (if your capital is small). |

Gideon82: GOOD EVENING GURUS,PLS I WOULD LIKE TO INVEST IN STOCKS,HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT PLS?THIS IS MY NO PLS ******** We dont need your phone number. First thing is to start reading. Follow this thread religiously, read financial statements, listen to news, understand the economy, understand the times, follow the masters, learn to separate noise from news, and respect your stop loss. You need a bit of TA (well this forum gives you TA for free), you also need a bit of FA (well this forum gives you a lot of FA for free), you need to learn to put your emotions in check... Secondly, open a trading account. I use Meritrade ( www.meritrade.com), some others use Morgancapital stock brokers ( http://www.morgancapitalgroup.com/). You don't need me to tell you how to open an online trading account because with the online chat on the trading sites, you can ask all your questions. Pay in some coins into the trading account, make a withdrawal to confirm all is set up then start small. Never forget that knowledge is power, never forget the use of cut / stop loss and never forget that entry and exit price is key but follow your currentprice. |

Revibe: Details Pls Both are in the 2.something range and seems to be the lowest the last time I checked. If they level up with their counterparts, we are looking at a 10 - 20% + upside. This is not considering any effect resulting from DB acquisition by Access. These are postulations pls. |

jideflash: Be careful, next week starts the supposed bleed. Only take new positions in the surest of stocks, in preparation of a sweet rally after the election (if peaceful). Dont forget the big players are waiting too with cutlass, so no go dash them free meat. be watchful. dont panic, shareholding is not about one day. in every sell off there is a buyer. be the best buyer. Election rally... we are here. We are expectant. |

Zendi, Please, it was the result of my meditations that night. I spent some time thinking of the future & eternity. Thanks a billion for your concern. I'm so sorry, I should have responded that night. |

onegentleguy: All these fellows that are playing pranks in the "NSE room" with the equity prices of WEMA, AIICO and CAVERTON, we can only but smile on the side line. I have since said that folks should immediately "WAC themselves" and take their necessary but required drug of PATIENCE. Soon they shall meet us at their Fair Values, or at the very least the N1.4, N1.3 and N4.5 boulevard respectively. Discounting for any and all possible risk, those 3 are way too cheap by all standards !!
We continue to observe. It is well.
NOTE: NOT to be interpreted as an investment recommendation. ...due diligence still applies. Be honest OGG, are you in profit with any of these companies? Please, do not take this as a personal question. I ask because I have never really played any of these coys and profited except for Caverton's dividends. I really want to play Aiico but Aiico seems to have taught me more of patience compared to making profit. |

Ladies & Gents, There are some monikers that no longer visit the forum to spy nor post comments. Even though it is a public forum, it calls for some concerns. The outcome usually would be that newbies will start making grievous errors because of the noise within the forum. I hope before the AFS start rolling out, these guys would be active. Combining the responses of 3 or 4 reasonable monikers is enough due diligence most times.. #thinkingaloud....tonewbies |

onegentleguy: For those still looking for a good opportunity to key into, perhaps Mr TRANSCORP and General AIICO might be good fellows to associate with !! Then again is the CAVERTON airline and the house of WEMA !! But hey, due diligence is still advised as always pls. We continue to observe.
It is well !! Unfailing love.. Same OGG... I would be surprised if you are not a board member yet in these companies. If they don't make you one, we NSEMPAites will nominate you free of charge.. Anyway, I am waiting for Aiico to get to 50k before I jump in with all my resources. |

Coolcash.. what do u expect.? when will all this change...? routed my flight through Ghana once and I was amazed at the way the guys were watching out and interrogating guys with green IDs..as though green passport is for drug dealers and fraudsters. |
