I don't know what the police are saying, they should know the law that states that you are liable and responsible for the safety and protection of a citizen you put under arrest. That person is in your care and it is your duty to protect them and if you fail and they come into harm the arrresting officers will be liable

The government should stop this SARS nonsense way of harassing guys, If you now someone is a criminal build your evidence bring it to a court get a warrant then arrest them legally. Not these rogue operatives harassing guys and trying to forcefully get evidence to extort them or intimidate them.

When the people don't like you anymore and your time is up.. Just step down before you ruin your remaining reputation for just fame and money that you will not take to your grave.

The problem is just that our agencies in charge of fighting corruption are not independent and they don't make efforts to prevent looting rather they only try to recover and investigate after the deed is done and it is too late.

Just imagine is Coronavirus came from Nigeria, by now they would have banned Nigerians from entering a plane or ship to any western countries.

I think these people should be restricted to tracking criminals in the Forests and abandoned buildings. They should be like Rangers so they can teach those places the police can't reach and prevent attacks from invaders. The police should be allowed to continue with policing cities and towns.

This is becoming alarming, so traveling through Kogi is now a nightmare? I think the government should approve regional policing but they should be restricted to the Forrests as Rangers to help check the menace of these bandits.

I want to use this medium to thank the Lagos State government for the courage and great vision. I think the ban should be permanent. If you know you cannot cope then leave the state we are tired of living like animals.
The next should be ban on street gates and thirdly the state government should look into shops that are built on fences. Any shop that does not meet the states regulated
standard should be demolished and laws should be made to force landlords to provide toilet facilities for shops. God bless the governor of Lagos State and the law abiding citizens. Amen

This is a good development but I have a question.. Does the E-tag work on both lekki and the expressway? And secondly I think people should be well enlightened and measures put in place to make everyone get the new tag or card easily without any stress. You can't just wake up and put a fixed date without test run and sensitization for at least 3months .

I bought a car last year and fully registered it as required by the Nigerian laws. I decided to travel to Asaba Delta state with my car after making sure I had valid documents and the required accessories including brand new Tyres.
As soon as I left Lagos Ibadan express way I started seeing police men and road safely officials every 10 kilometers apart or even less sometimes. I even saw customs officials they asked me to bring the customs papers. They all wanted me to tip them after checking and confirming I had the correct papers.

When I got to Benin bypass I met So many police checking points, one of them said I should bring the receipt I was issued when I bought the car. I told him I do not need a receipt to drive my car since the car is dully registered with proof of ownership certificate and my full details can be verified online.
They got angry and took me to a police post and asked me to pay 10, 000( Ten Thousand Naira) to continue my trip which I promptly declined. They delayed me for 3 hours, I had to call someone I knew in Abuja to get them to allow me continue my journey.
I think the Nigerian government should seriously look into this situation because you feel totally helpless out there in the bushes.
We are too big a nation to be talking about police extortion in broad day light. Please share your thoughts about this matter because I'm afraid to travel with my private car now. Thanks

Sorry bro, you reported a useless person to another set of useless people. Imagine the police saying you should have brought the BRT bus and the driver along with you to the station!
From where I stand, you have one of two options: take their ridiculous advice of just forgetting the issue and fixing your car yourself, or get a good lawyer and sue the BRT company along with the driver.

This morning on my way to the island I was hit by a reckless BRT driver at EKo bridge. He came out and asked me to move out of his way or he will run me over. Even though withnesses including LASTMA officials where there and made him see he was wrong, He punched me and also tore my shirt and gold chain. The LASTMA officials adviced me to go to the police and report. I went to lion building, met some police men who said I should have brought the BRT bus to their station and the driver too. They advised me to go fix my car myself because I will spend more money to sponsor the police to go fish out the drive with the bus number. Please if anybody knows the right channel to follow to bring this driver to book please let me know thanks.
