Nice one Arik |
People should sit down and wait for government to come have a wand to stop the spread of coronavirilus. The truth is that people have to start working on protecting themselves and family from this very infectious disease. 1, if you don't have any important thing to do stay at home. 2, Avoid large gatherings at all times and take this seriously. 3, if you can cook your own food at home it is safer for you. 4, maintain a reasonable instance from people at all times be cautious of this and stop shaking hands. 5, if you are asmatic and have any illness stay away from people 6, Put pressure on the government to shut down the bothers and airports funtil we deal with alreafy recorded cases and bring it down to zero. 7, Put pressure on the government to stop all inter state travels until we get zero new infections. 8, communication should be more on phone and video calls to limit face to face contact with people. This disease is very deadly and very infectious. It killed almost a whole generation in Italy and still raging, we must protect ourselves and our loved ones at all cost. |
This is very important, I think the president should put all politics aside and work with people with ideas to create a soft landing for Nigerians in this trying time. Even interest rate should be zero, because people are really suffering. God bless Nigeria. |
Dead on arrival, with a country as divided as ours I just wonder how this regional security outfit will workout. We rather stay as we thank create another problem that may cause war and divide us in further. |
I'm not even worried the third case of coronavirus entered Nigeria but scared it entered Benin Republic. From there it will be very easy to spread in Nigeria. We all need to following the advice of professionals to be safe. How can one know if infected by Corona virus... Quick test.. This is their feedback for now on Corona virus: The new Coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days. How can one know if he/she is infected? By the time they have fever and/or cough and go to the hospital, the lung is usually 50% Fibrosis and it's too late. Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning. Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stiffness or tightness, etc., it proves there is no Fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicates no infection. In critical time, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air. Serious excellent advice by Japanese doctors treating COVID-19 cases: Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat are moist, never dry. Take a few sips of water every 15 minutes at least. Why? Even if the virus gets into your mouth, drinking water or other liquids will wash them down through your throat and into the stomach. Once there, your stomach acid will kill all the virus. If you don't drink enough water more regularly, the virus can enter your windpipe and into the lungs. That's very dangerous. Please send and share this with family and friends. Take care everyone and may the world recover from this Coronavirus soon. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - CORONAVIRUS 1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold 2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose. 3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27 degrees. It hates the Sun. 4. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne. 5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap. 6. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it. 7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice. 8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on. 9. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice. 10. Can't emphasis enough - drink plenty of water! THE SYMPTOMS 1. It will first infect the throat, so you'll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days 2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs, causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further. 3. With the pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing. 4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you're drowning. It's imperative you then seek immediate attention. |
Yeah that was what the Italians said 10 days ago. Now they are on lock down for a month, how many Nigerian families have enough food to sustain them for a week? Be wise stop public gatherings, the schools should round up for Easter early and let's not wait until we get there. Thanks |
The real cause of most traffic jam in Lagos State are the street gates. Last time I went to Surulere I was stuck in traffic, I tried to pass several alternative routes but I met street gates. How can a road fixed with tax payers money be locked up by 7 pm? Secondly if you go to Lekki or some other places you find these Estates with gates and you can't pass through them the only way is to go around them to get to your destination causing serious traffic . |
Yes they can come up with excuses but when you don't pay your bill at the end of the month they will never take any excuses from you, when it's time to disconnect you. |
Mr Governor it's OK with too much talk, start creating jobs and utilize the opportunity given you for the benefit of your people Emulate the governor of Lagos State less talk more work Action speaks louder than words. |
Even Coronavirus no wan stay Naija.. Lol.. Like one lady Corolla Virus. |
This is so bad and you need to see how dangerously they ride . I don't know why the government is doing nothing to enforce an order they made. Come to Surulere you will wonder if there was ever a ban in the first place. The Lagos State government should do something about this and also they should set up a set of strick rules for those mini buses too they are gradually becoming a nuisance. |
Yes you are right sir, this is so because of people like you. |
Everything is about corruption in Nigeria, how about creating a whistle-blower systerm for terrorism and kidnappings so that the whistle blower can be rewarded financially and identity kept secret? This will ensure the security operatives are able to arrest criminals before they strike. |
What nonsense! Can you imagine we cry about racism everyday and yet tribalism and discrimination has eaten deep into our bones. The only thing you hear now is I'm igbo I'm Yoruba or Hausa yet we fight for one Nigeria. Some landlords in Lagos will say we don't want Igbo so bad. |
If his news is true then why are they warming consumers instead of manufacturers? It is your job to regulate food and drugs and ensure safe practices to protect the consumers. |
And yet we have nothing to show for it. I can not believe that we have come to accept to live without electricity in Nigeria. |
This is a good development I just hope they implement the changes. People are been ripped off everyday in Nigeria by sharp practices perpetuated by some government organizations legally. I think it's high time the government start to review the practices of schools, Hospitals and even some ministries. Just as they banned keke and okada ban sharp practices. |
Nice one again from Lagos State, how about lekki? When will the councils over there wake up? |
This governor is doing a great job please if any agencies of Lagos State is reading this. I think it is time for these filling stations to upgrade. There should be a crack down on some old outdated filling stations all over Lagos State. The Lagos State government should give them required standard to meet before operation or get sealed for good. It is better we have 10 standard filling stations with CCTV a must than having 100 outdated filling stations. This new Lagos State should be a no nonsense state with a no nonsense governor. God bless Lagos State. |
Fake news |
This governor will do well I can see his body language. Please let's support him create a better Lagos. The state should create a box for suggestions from the general public and draw out the reasonable ones to adopt. That way they will get to the real issues the public will benefit from. |
Animal kingdom |
Heart breaking and annoying. The rate at which Child Abuse cases are rising in Nigeria is terrible. Does it have something to do with the economy? |
Good one governor, you are really doing a great job. We are tired of leaving like animals in the name of some people looking for their daily bread. If you have to sell anything on the road go to your village. |
Why not buy all the available bags of rice from farmers and sell it at any price you choose to fix it? This will ensure they sell out faster and help regulate the prices to ensure stability in supply. |
What is all this Dubai for everything? You |
Good one prof, this is the best time to show us your work. If your research works and it's converted into drugs then you are going to be in history. |
How come nobody is telling us the condition of the Italian man that brought the virus to Lagos and what kind of drugs currently been administered to him? And also how long it will take to treat him. We need all these information to prepare us and to prevent fake news and we also need to know how long the treatment will last because we just have a single case now. What if we had more than a 20 cases at a time God forbid, can e be able to cope?? |
The Supreme Court would have been rubbished if not for their wise ruling on the Bayelsa matter. I think they should make sure that ruling is fully enforced and the fines paid in full to prevent any more attempt to rubbish our Judiciary. |
But Lia Mohammed said we are ready. Or was he lying? |
Just manage enjoy your one year and relocate. You can still contact the Lagos State ministry of environment and complain they might investigate and help you.

The NDLEA has failed Nigerians, all they are good at is preventing importation and exportation of hard drugs but neglect the fact that hard drug usage has reached an alarming rate in Nigeria. They need to have a model that works to help reduce drug abuse. Instead of sending people to prison which have little or no effect on users and dealers. they should look for how to regulate, rehabilitate and educate the people on the dangers of drug use. Although I know they are doing that but it's not enough. They also need to think of legalization and regulations of the use of weed and then put there foot down on the use of those other hard a d addictive drugs. They just need to do something rather than the usual |
