The government have yet to put its foot down hard on jungle justice in Nigeria, without a solid action, proper punishment for culprits this uncivilized evil will continue and sometimes innocent people will continue to loose their lives . All traditional rulers, street and estate chairmen should be properly educated and given the responsibility to control residents in their area. They should be given the job to inform the police as soon as people start gathering around a suspect. The courts should also be directed to free any suspect beaten in public, no matter the crime they might have committed to deter jungle justice . |
This is good but not good enough, people are scared of water. |
Recently it has become a concern to me the way street associations decided to lock up their street gates during the day, in some cases most estates intentionality lock up their gates and only allow residents to pass knowing fully well the major roads are bad and heavy with traffic. In Surulere, it has become something else. You enter a street with the entrance open and drive all the wat to the end and the exit gate is locked, you have to drive in reverse in most cases to find your way out. Some streets lock their gates during peak periods and this causes terrible traffic on the small available routes. The Lagos state government and the able governor of Lagos state should help restore sanity . Roads belongs to tax payers and not street association and estates. Please share your own thoughts and help spread the message. |
This is a very good road compared to Alfa beach road in Lekki. The Lagos state government needs to declare a state of emergency on the road network in Lagos and also deal with the issues concerning locking of street gates in Lagos . Imagine these days most of the streets and estates lock the only good roads and prevent the use of government roads because they have street associations. |
She should be called a saint and the whole nation should honour and immortalize her name. RIP |
This virus is real, Nigerians are just lucky not to be hard hit like other countries. I have seen people who just recovered with same symptoms I have been reading about like lost of smell and lost of taste some had terrible fever and sore throat. With what i have seen so far, I think the government should reopen the country fully and allow both government and private hospitals to treat the very sick ones. Most people claimed they did self medicating but they are fine now and what is funny about everything is that these same people claim there is nothing like coronavirius. This thing swept through surulere from last two weeks and it seems the it's already going away. Most people have experienced t and they don't tell anybody . |
Africa my Africa, we are blessed. |
This inter state travel ban should be lifted immediately, the goal of ending the virus before it spreads has already been lost, so many people depend on traveling inter state to do business. We all know that people still move around from state to state daily, they only have to pay more. Stop enriching the security operatives on the internet state borders., some people want to go bury their dead, there is so much at stake here. |
Painful |
Even an arial view of a prison will be fine, go inside and let's see what they have, let's see inside the hostels , lecture rooms and halls and even toilets. |
This is good news, I don't have anything against whites, as a matter of fact I have met so many wonderful white men and women who have been kind and accommodating. But I know there are some uninformed whites that believe in conspiracy theories and racism, they need to be stopped before they destroy the world. After this we still need to address tribalism in Nigeria, it is like a local form or racism in Nigeria, sometimes you are searching for a house in Lagos and the landlord says I don't want an Igbo man or I don't want Yoruba. |
You guys are doing a good job, I'm impressed with the Nigerian government and our able health workers on this one. Anything that goes up must come down, once it gets to its peak, we will start seeing a decline. Herd immunity strategy will work in Nigeria because our survival rate is high. |
Rip Legend, the last time I saw you was 2015 at Woolwich Arsenal in London, You were so nice and happy to see a fellow Nigerian. Your music legacy lives on. |
Nothing is worth more than that man's life, the way he was murdered was horrible, this will serve as a lesson to any white police office who wants to be racist. Anytime I see that video,i feel the pain of that man crying for help and nothing happened till he died. May his soul rest in peace. One day , many of you calling this politics will find yourselves in the USA, I pray you don't fall victim of racism. |
Please we want to see the people that committed this sacrilege, this time we must follow this matter until justice is served. The governor of Edo state should get a pen ready to sign the death warrant for this matter. |
This is a crime against Nigeria as a nation, the inspector general of police must handle this case personally and bring us anybody involved in this evil. The governor of the state must be forced to sign the death warrant for this matter. May her soul rest in peace. |
This is impressive, this governor has come to work, this man has a vission and with the way he is going, Lagos State will soon have a new face. |
Congratulations, it is not too late to salvage the situation and stir this country to glory. It is not time to insult anyone but time to get the gloves off and be more proactive. |
Some of the people risking everything to reach their states where stranded in other states, the government made efforts to evacuate Nigerians stranded abroad, but nobody talked about helping those stranded outside their stares to get home. I think the inter state travel restrictions should be lifted gradually , they should allow those with private cars with not more than four passengers to travel, this is because people still move from state to state daily. What they do is travel to the borders of each state, come down and cross the borders by foot and board another bus to the next border until they reach their destinations. This even increases the risk of spreading the infection because most of those border crossings are always crowded. |
Fellow Nigerians, the coronavirus is upon us as we speak,it is sweeping through like an ocean wave and nothing can stop it as if moves through, it will carry the weak and the sick, some will survive and some will not. Let us brace ourselves for the impact, this is not about curfew and nose masks or believing it exists or not,. This is about our immune system and good luck,. I wish everyone the best of luck and a healthy ready immune system, I also pray for the souls of those that won't make it and those who have already gone an external rest plus forgiveness. |
The government should not even dare to increase the price of petrol, this will brake the back of Nigerians who are almost at the end of the road. |
This is for weak men |
So what is the economic value of having a tall building that requires a lot of money for maintenance? Some governors are so backward, instead of running your state like a business, look into the creative talents of your people and invest on them to create industries, this will create wealth and beautiful buildings will spring up everywhere. |
Instead of trying to cause problems the PDP should work together with government to find a lasting solution to this pandemic. |
Keep your opinion to yourself allow the government to do their job. |
I don't understand what this man is trying to gain by doing this, he was admitted in a hospital that have experienced health workers, he could have asked them to educate him properly before coming out to talk rubbish. How come almost everyone in his family just suddenly got infected with malaria at the same time? Important people should watch what comes out of their mouths, it may be interpreted wrongly by the masses. |
The federal government and all stake holders should come together and rescue Nigerian parents from these private schools, they are milking them dry. Many people are dying because of the pressure to get more money, the stories never end and most parents are going into serious crisis because of the insensitive behavior of these schools. |

A man was brutally murdered today at Aguda Surulere, He was drinking with his friends when the alleged killers attacked him and shot him, his friends put him in his car and brought him to a hospital at Agboyin Avenue, but he was pronounced dead. The police was notified and they arrived in full force to ensure safety of people and also carry out their investigations.

Open up the country and enforce social distancing and wearing of face mask, they should also extend the curfew time to 10 pm. |
No more lockdown please, it will not be obeyed and this will finish the already fragile economy. The review should focus on injection of cash into the economy. |
