HealthRe: Vincent Prosper: Abia Declares Suspected COVID-19 Patient Wanted by swtdrms(m): 7:35pm On Apr 17, 2020

Covid19 in Nigeria is a scam!

If your IQ level is not above 70, pls don't quote me.
If i were the president, i will immediately pass a bill to the national assembly for people like you to be shot on sight. It's better to kill one mumu than to make him spread the virus over the community.

Covidiots are the only challenge we have in curtailing this ravaging pandemic. They still believe its a lie, there'll recruit more mumus like them who'll also believe its a lie, then we'll have a generation of mumus who'll defy gov't order, is that not a calamity already?
PoliticsRe: Muric Laments Marginalization Of Igbo, Religious Sentiments. by swtdrms(m): 11:34am On Apr 17, 2020
Sincerely our way of life is completely disorganised, also is our way of doing things. We've never considered data gathering or analysis to be of any use, how then do we have a structured and balanced way of sharing palliatives? The bulk of the sharing will eventually end up in the hands of wrong people who do not need it in the first place. We have a challenge at hand now, you want people to sit at home, you have less resources to make them sit at home, you have to segment population of who get these palliatives, you don't have data of these people. What do you do? You share randomly where majority will not get and these majority will definitely disobey the lockdown order. You are back to square one.

These are my fears, how do you curtail this pandemic? How do we survive when the pandemic has gone out of hand?

African and Nigeria in particular, what we all think about is greed, wetin i go chop? Not how i do contribute to save the society, Not in "what ways can i help"? Even if you were to be in the category of sensible people who want to help, you'll find out that your efforts in helping will not have any impact because majority have already positioned themselves to sabotage your efforts of help/contribution.

The surest thing to do is make your self safe, try to find how to run your business from home and stay alive.

Area4Area:
You spoke well, some actually reason with their anvs, to them everything is a joke. Kano and other states and other countries round the world that decided to go on a lockdown are doing it because of an imaginary money they've not seen, nonsense.
Your last paragraph is perfectly in order
Guy, the only problem we have in this country is giving the foolish ones amongst us to display their stupidity without restraint, thereby recruiting more foolish followers who eventually overwhelm good actions and right thinking.

If we can shut them down immediately they start the display, then our society will be a working one. They are a clog in the wheel of progress

STFU!!. The guy has a point, at least he drew his conclusion from both past and present actions of the government. What proof d u have that it is otherwisehuh
You can see how foolish you are? The same foolishness of Trump is making americans suffer for it, first he said it was a lie, later he said it was chinesse virus, by the time he realises its real, it was too late. You don't wait till when it enters before you start taking action, that's is been proactive. Taking action after you've started seeing confirmed cases is called "reactionary". Reactionary is more costly as it takes extra more work and resources to curtail.

If Kano had taken action before having a confirmed case, they may likely not have recorded any case by now. But kano waited till there's a confirmed case. So can you see that all of you shouting "they want to chop money with corona" are fools. Stupidness and foolishness of the highest order.

People like me will not keep silence, we'll keep on making you understand your foolishness, because that's better than experiencing the pandemic in a large scale.

Perhaps kano state has turn this pandemics into business. I don't think there's actual case of covid -19 iñ kano.
Why do we continue to have fools always thinking with their anvs and not their brains? For how much would they declare lockdown? For how much? 1b or what? If you and your generation only think about money in times of trouble, then lucky you, you'll surely die running after such money.

We have health emergency, Saudi shuts down Kaaba, Pope did easter service in an empty Vatican, government world over is thinking of how to contain this emergency, the only think you could think about is....they want to loot money with covid19.

Let's even assume u re correct, then Kano gov't wouldn't have waited this long before declaring lockdown. Everyone had been telling kano to lockdown long before now which they refuse, Kano should have locked down 2weeks ago and not now. So someone who wants to make money will still wait 2weeks before making such money? Your case is worse than that of Donald Trump.

To my fellow sensible friends, the challenge is how to sustain in this period, Its obvious we don't know how long it'll take. From the look of things, even after this two weeks, there'll be more lockdown because this shit isn't getting away so soon. World economy has crashed, importations stopped, even food....i wonder how farmers will cope in this period. Let's start thinking of evolving alternative economies. If you have a business start thinking of taking the business online because that's the only way out now

nameo:
Nope, you are totally wrong.

Except you allow sentiments to becloud your sense of reasoning.

The grants at this time is for the poor people AFFECTING or IMPACTED by the corona virus.
Naturally, any assistance for now should target the poor in those states most imparted in respect of total lockdown and no of cases.

States like Lagos, FCT, Osun, Edo and now Kano.

You get??

But from this report, not only are you giving Katsina the largest chunk, the most imparted state (Lagos) is given nothing i.e assuming this report is correct.

I have no element of discrimination against the north(i honestly do not understand how people can be tribalist) so this is from a place of sincere understanding of issues. I would expect same from you, whether you are northerner or not.

See what is wrong and condemn it, all the time
Oga, there have been conditional cash transfer intervention programme long before coronavirus, which is different from Palliative been considered for those affected by Covid-19. This was what brought about the NSIP, where we have the Social Register. There have been budgetry allocation for it since 2016. So are you telling me they've been planning to give out money for covid-19 right from 2016?. So you people just make alot of noise without understanding issues been discussed in just because you hate the government and you must criticise the government. The poor performance of the government is not the reason for your misery, nevertheless, it adds to it.

The covid-19 palliative measure is what was being said that BVN and ur recharge will be used to determine who benefits. So it's not one programme.

Note: Am not in support of the government's way of handling things, i strongly believe all these issues can be handled better. Nonetheless, we all need to understand things in their right perspectives.

What was the criteria o?
I think you're the only sensible person I've seen so far, the question should be what's the criteria used. From the little i understand, its a cash transfer for the indigent...poorest of the poor, people suffering from extreme poverty. From what we all know and what we all agree to, the far north has the highest number of people wallowing in extreme poverty. When it comes to insulting the north we know that but when it comes to handouts to extremely poor people, we argue about that. All we're good at is tribal and religious sentiments

Its just outrageously horrible for people at this age and time, and with the education they've acquired not been able to live above Nonsense. They can easily verify these information. Besides, they should know how technology work, No single person or single group of people deploy a dangerous technology of that magnitude and it wouldn't be experts in that field coming to tell what it entails but fraudsters as pastors telling us it dangerous. What knowledge does he possess? Before any technology is released, it goes through several procedures, which include adequate testing among professionals, standard organisations, regulators etc before it is even considered. Then different governments still vet it before giving approval for deployment. Besides, 5G is still at the testing stage world over, how then has it caused death? It's yet to be deployed. People just like to be lied to and Pastorpreneurship will always master the trade of lieing to people.
HealthRe: COVID-19: How Long Can Nigeria Be On Lockdown? by swtdrms(m): 4:39am On Apr 03, 2020
GeoAfrikana:
We can't survive a month of lockdown. Less than 48hrs and people are already complaining and sneaking to open their shops.

The reason isn't because we lack resources to lockdown for a month or more but because we lack compassion, selflessness and empathy.

I'm sure if I offer a giveaway of 2k here, some people with 10k in their account will still ask. Many wealthy people aren't encouraged to do charity because they're almost certain that it will end up in the hands of some unneedy but greedy and discontented people.

When God has blessed you, please bless yourself and stop hustling peanuts with poor people. Please learn to be contented.

Let the little drops of charity get to the real peasants.
You have summarized Nigeria's problem in one post. That's the root of our problem. We lack compassion and engulfed with greed. While i was in school, there was a scholarship scheme i qualified for, will be getting a sum of $1000 every session till i finish my studies. But the scheme has a limited number of spaces. I called people who needed it and even help them make some contacts. I didn't apply not because i don't need it but because i see people who need more than me. While some of my friends see me as been stupid, i saw my action as been helpful to humanity. Definitely if that's the way we operate in this country, there wouldn't be poverty and no one will lack any essential need.

What sensible people should be asking is for the Prosecution of the INEC staff who muddled up the figures just to get IHEDIOHA elected....

The should have at least recorded all the accredited voters then minus that of Uzodinma's figures as rejected. ( even at that, they don't have the powers to reject any result at the collation centre) but that would have settled the present seemly confusion of figures for the lazy readers..
You are very correct

that is for INEC to worry about.

While we all sympathize with PDP Media like The Punch, Channels TV, PDP Activist like Henry Shield, Deji, etc...One shouldn't allow these angry people mislead the uninitiated...

Accreditation and Voting are held simultaneously during recent elections...So if INEC Suppressed Uzodinma Vote as ruled by the Supreme Court, by rejecting to compute it along others, Common sense should have rejigged your brains to know, that the number of accreditated voters would also reduce by the same margin of Suppressed Votes.

Summary; What the Supreme Court ruled was that: Given the facts before them: the number of Accredited Voters are more than what INEC reported and recorded.... Consequently, the FAKE figures was set aside and new and correct FIGURES Computed by the well learned 7 Justices of the Supreme Court..

Stop Wailing And Use Your Brains...

She returned with ‘Gold Tooth’ and had ‘Alhaja’ added to her name.
Two weeks later, she was hustling me and asking to borrow 40k as her youngest son has been sent home from school, no school fees.

There is a reward.
The reward is that Saudi Arabia and its tourism industry smiles to the bank.
Pilgrimage is excursion.
That your friend has done nothing wrong, that's how she has scaled her preferences, and also you have the right not to lend her the said money. We all plan our scale of preferences in differnt way.

That doesn't give you the right to bad mouth her ohh sorry you have the right to insult and abuse people as you like but it doesn't give you regard and honour you deserve in the midst of respectable people.

On Tourism, as important as medical tourism is, so also is religious torism depending on what esteem you hold religiosity
