Why the change in headline topic...i saw Rape: Senate seeks review...on clicking, I'm seeing akwa ibom flood issue |
So a group of people binded by an objective cannot cannot come together? So you do not identify such body? Why not ask if they really have children in your school instead of coming up with a charade of press release |
OGHENAOGIE:Rules that do not respect freedom to religious practice? Why are you guys just plainly bitter, stupid and intolerant? |
Omudia11:You guyz are just stupid and crazy with hate and nothing more. The so called school you guys are claiming is a private school, this is a private school belonging to a public institution (abi UI is also a private uni ni?). The only justification for not allowing hijab is if the school belongs to a faith based institution like Covenant University belongs to Living faith church. So please and please shut ur mouth and stop justifying rubbish and illegality Have you ever heard about muslim protesting that Covenant university doesn't allow hijab? That is an entirely christian based entity. Any entity that belongs to the public/public institution does not in anyway have the right to trample on our right to religious practice. Please stop being stupid next time you'll hit my mention |

nairavsdollars:This is nothing like "go to islamic school". This is a public school and muslims are member of the public. In a public institution you have the right to practice your religion. So shit the fvck up |
This is becoming unbecoming, why do Nigerian christians always shout of religious tolerance while they themselves are not tolerant in anyway? There's constitional right to feeedom of religion so far its not infringing on anybody's freedom. How does Muslim lady's wearing of hijab infringe on anybody's freedom? This is utterly disgusting and hatred of the muslims, nothing more |
That's an overkill...Femi needed just 181 but got 283, 100 votes more, and Umar Bago just mere 76. Meaning PDP members prefer Femi to Umar. |
emmykk:Tinubu/Buhari started it, then the aspirants took it up from there, selling themselves, doing all the necessary calculations and permutations. Tell me if anyother Speakership aspirant toured the whole country like Gbajabiamila did. So this in my opinion is a done deal |
tuniski:You are correct there, we shall know the main result but there's something you Africa don't put into cognisance most times, there's a process before success can be achieved, that process count alot. And before we get to see main result of their election, we'll predict possible outcomes based on results on ground. But you opposition forces just count not only process but on luck and wishful thinking. Wishful thinking doesn't do it, its action |
NickD:Take it or leave it, its the reality. Only a controversial personality in the likes of Donald Trump or probably Buhari wouldn't bother about been politically correct. |
PrecisionFx:Are you sure you are not asking for anything abi u don't have the moral standing to ask for anything. But you do complain of marginalisation almost everytime, blaming others for your misfortune. The fact is, every block wants to be included in every political arrangement, "wetin we don gain" is another thing entirely. During the military era, the yorubas clamoured for democracy, reason which include having the opportunity to aspire for presidency. Same reasons every block aspire to be part of every governing body. So bros leave that talk o jare and play your card well, and stop disturbing other ethnic entities with your wailing. |
BrokenTV:Precedence have overtaken that arrangement. As we were getting into the 8th Assembly, the general understanding was that Since a 'hausa' is the president and a 'yoruba' is the vice, so automatically an 'igbo' should be the senate president. But since that wasn't possible as at that time, we got moved on with the understanding that it doesn't really have to be that way, it has to be populist agreement. Same way majority of people from the Igbo extraction are of the opinion of dumping the arrangement of southerner taking over from northern presidency after this 2 term tenure. The former understanding has always been southerner taking over from a northerner, but that some are already working to truncate that arrangement. So political arrangement do change. |
Nobody accomodates anybody in an arrangement like this. You are to accomodate yourself in a popular arrangement. South East doesn't have a say in an APC dominated arrangement due to its own misdoing. So who's to be blamed? Any APC member who dare suggests an arrangement for South East in this 9th assembly would be looked up to like a fool, because there's no way he can justify his suggestion. Its better to go with whats politically correct/accurate. Only if the party wants to cede some position to PDP, but that arrangement would have been calculated to be beneficial to APC as a party and negotiations well done |
This is quite interesting, this is how it should be, some people may claim he is a stooge that is being forced on the 'house' where reverse is the case. The man went round the country to solicit support, convinced state gov's and his colleagues, assures them he knows what he is doing and what's to be done, and people bought into his vision. Compare this to PDP era, where its a inhouse/presidential caucus arrangement. I'm not in anyway badmouthing election/selection process in PDP era, i am only pointing out that this particular candidature process is better. I can't say same about Lawan's senate aspiration. |
sarahade:It's still not permissible, you have to make him understand, explain to him. |
Masterppower:I don't argue with ignorant and stupid people...Go and upgrade your knowledge before taking me up on issues |
budaatum:funny guy! ![]() If we can all call out wrong doing, there's hope for this country... thumbs up bro |
budaatum:Thank you jare, everything in this country just dey vex me...everybody is sentimental about everything, even those things that do not come with any benefits, they'll still be sentimental. Who do us this strong thing sef? We are not in anyway progress/forward thinking...everything is my, my, my (my tribe, my village, my religion, my family etc). only "my" is correct, is right, should have it etc. We can never grow in this type of thinking. Life is all about give and take...but give and take responsibly. |
My problem with this country in its entirety is our approach to everything. The only approach we have is sentiment, sentiment and sentiment and nothing more. That's what CAN has been thriving on over the years, remove sentiment and there's no CAN. Looking at issues in its whole, we don't. Good luck Jonathan had attended the summit during his days as president. If it were islamization, he wouldn't have attended the summit. https://www.legit.ng/1241364-flashback-goodluck-jonathan-attends-oic-summit-cairo-2013.html Same with Islamic banking issues and the controversies CAN created around it, today the highest number of Jaiz bank customers are Christians most especially Igbos, these Christians have been benefitting hugely from the operations of Islamic banking system compared to conventional banking system. Same with SUKUK bonds that have been used in developing infrastructures around the country. My only question is when will CAN stop pulling us down as a country? Does CAN hate us this much that it must be sentimental about everything? We as a people are thinking of a way forward looking at latest convention in solving problems internationally, the only thing CAN is preoccupied with is SENTIMENTS. In this just concluded National elections, we were filtering our options, trying to see the best fits for different positions, the only thing CAN preoccupied itself with was SENTIMENTS, Christian emerged all governors of the Southwestern states nobody raised an eyebrow, lets just assume it was the other way round? It would have a hell of controversies and incitements. This same CAN campaigned against APC because it is an "islamic party" but still seek Christian senate president and speaker in the so called "Islamic party" based on what argument? Their argument wasn't based on performance nor competence but "sentiment". I hope we can all change our outlooks to issues in the country and individual localities so that we can learn to have the world "culture" attitudes, learn what works in the international arena for our development. |
chuksdsilent:No p, u can send me a DM |
The Govs always want to be god in their respective states, though NFIU don't have such powers, will they give the LGs the independence to manage its resources and allocations? |
There's nothing wrong in going to mosque to meet potential husband/wife. If people don't go to mosque to meet possible husband, where should one go? Club or on the road. I tire for this Nigeria, everything people must shuk mouth |
Number plate is valid and assigned to Peugeot 406...what value does this type of information offer? Doesn't give any clue of the real owner to help me know if am buying from the real owner or am buying a stolen vehicle. |

This is a very comprehensive plan. This will help alleviate several problems most especially farmers/herders clashes, open grazing which cause nuisance to the society as well as adequate milk production which is overdue. I pray all these strategic plans work as envisioned |

Sincerely that case finished Farouk Lawan's political career. A very powerful member of the House who could form a strong force against a sitting speaker. Corruption destroyed him completely while many others got elevated through this same corruption. |
Olatara:and you too...can we can have further discussion? i'll send you a mail |
