I think there's no point going forth and back with you, since you don't believe and accept research data which we would have used to settle the scores because what you are seeing in Osun is completely different from what i am seeing. Don't conclude i've not travelled wide like you choose to conclude, i've travelled to a South East state for nysc, (Abia), being in and out of Delta and Edo State (so i have a good knowledge most esp. Delta state. toured all local governments in Delta), schooled in Niger, and have toured most northern states. So i know very clearly what i am talking about.

Osun state is another zone for poverty, I have a farm there, my reason of having such investment there despite been a southerner is due to cheap labour, I can pay them anything and get the job done ....

Mr Oga why are you guys always like this, lieing has always been part of your lifeline. Osun state is not different from other south west states in term of poverty and parity between income/expenditure. You may make more money in lagos and at the same time spend more compared to a place like Osun. Same for Ogun state. So your argument does not hold water. But going by statistics, Osun has the least unemployment rate in the country, and again, Osun has the least poverty index through out the country, according to NBS, and its been like that since the days of Jonathan's administration.

Lest i forget, I am from Oyo state and my wife is from Osun state. So i believe you should have a good idea of how often i visit Osun state.

This is one of the reasons why the PDP should never in anyway be made to come close to governance. These are little limps we are supposed to have experienced long time ago. APC is setting an all inclusive system in place to make sure the poor are brought out of poverty. Over the years, what has PDP achieved in the aspect of agriculture and food security? The foundation towards making majority of Nigerian millionaire are being built. Gone are those days when farmers wallow in poverty, but today farmers are already millionaires, i can testify to this fact. Our power generation and distribution are been worked on and we are seeing improvements, through power, industries and factories will spring up thereby creating tones of employment and enterpreneurs. As it stands, i am not in any salary/permanent job and i don't ever wish to be because i am already having the facilities to make myself millionaire in the near future, Light is more stable, i work remotely as developer, so Nigeria will get there very soon. what others ways do you expect to create millionaires if not through these real improvements when are witnessing now rather than perceived improvement PDP has always been deceiving us with.

What most people don't understand is that the Phd guy didn't apply because he couldn't get a better job, its a strategy to be identified and rightly positioned in the education sector. I am very sure that in a short time, he'll receive all promotions and find his way right to where he hope to be without discrimination because his qualification alone is intimidating. Believe me, he's going to be very competent in whatever task he handles, win accolades, represent the state educational board in different capacities, easy access to highly ranking government officials which would never be possible if he were pursuing bigger roles.

Jonathan being a good person doesn't make him capable as a leader. As a leader do you agree to all what your boys tell you or you investigate to be sure of what the facts are? When I say I am a fullstack web developer, I don't mean html and css. I am fully comfortable with the MEAN and MERN stack and I just started taking courses in machine learning. I learned programming on my own and I know how difficult it is and the value of the industry especially in Nigeria. I have been working on a software for the past four months, and I have a deep knowledge of softwares.
After reading your comments in the morning, I went to download two GIS pdfs because I wanted to know what it's all about. And I realized it is still software at the end even if it is highly complicated. I also realized that all the features can be implemented if the project is given to a competent company.
Fashola's website project was just another outrageous project. I know websites and webapps are not cheap, but we should be sincere and not turn blind eye when our government is being wasteful with our resources.
Stop being angry incompetent developers are taking jobs from you. Just like you said, they fail 9 times out of 10 and the client will still crawl back to you.

Sorry for being too angry. Now I understand you better. We'll all get there together by God's grace. We all started from little beginning, nice to how far you have gone and how you are progressing.

Ofcourse GIS applications are basically softwares developed by other developers or companies, but its most times comprehensive and complicated. The version we are using on the application I talked about has the server version, desktop version which are to be incorporated together based on your need. The basic server version cost 20m, while desktop version cost 5m. You could need up to 20 different desktop version for different desktop computers. These are basic software's without other addons and extension. These software's are the containers with which you develop your applications upon.

Like you rightly said, we can have a team of developers to come up with a GIS application, which still boil down to cost. Such cost will surely be in multiple of buying one.

Like I said initially, for projects to be successful, the cost has to be right. And such cost is usually huge.

In summary, same type of project must not necessarily have the same cost, cost depends heavily the expertise, exposure and tools to be used which are justifiable.

Thank you Mr Oga, I already have a good idea of the caliber of people am talking to. When i see someone who isn't expose but thinks he's seen it all, I can easily tell from the person's disposition. Besides, we need to start enlightening people that its not always "just a website".

Serious projects require serious resources. The AGIS project I talked about was developed and managed by German company before it was been handed over to Nigerians. For how long do we continue to be unfit for high end projects?

That was the way someone the other time was claiming to be tech guru classifying facebook not be a tech company. Such a person will as well tell you facebook is just a website and shouldn't worth more than 10m naira.

If you have a team of experts both local and international guys on a project - say 20 tech gigs billing about $200 dollars per day (including accommodation and feeding) for 12 months (365 days), the following will be the cost break down for Human Resources alone:
1. $200 x 20 = $4000 per day
2. $4000 x 365 = $ 1,460,000 per year.
3. $1,460,000 x N364 =N 531,440,000.

Looking at the foregoing, you can see how easily N700,000,000 could have been spent.

Note I have not even factored IT physical infrastructure that will be put together and the cost of secondary Tech Human Resources that will support the Core Tech Team.

If we really need Nigeria to move forward, we need to be very objective as regards to the requirement for building a strong institution in Nigeria. It is not a walk through the park.

Maliciously, the stated figure can be used by opposition but we all must be guided. That said, APC was always in the business of being malicious with big figures when PDP held sway.

Projects that can help deepen the robustness of all sectors should be welcomed beyond the Presidents shortcoming in showing Nigerians across regions that he is their President.

You being a full stack developer doesn't put you in the know how of GIS. I am as well a programmer who has been working on a GIS application over the last six months, so I know better. GIS is no child's play I indeed well executed. There are many aspects to it. The company I work for is in the process of proposing a GIS application for DISCOs which should cost over a billion Naira to execute. So keep shut when you know nothing about a particular field.
The AGIS (Abuja Geographic Information Systems) which El-Rufai brought up when he was the minister was a huge project with huge cost as well, Today, it services justifies it cost, as we are all enjoying it's dividends.

I am not in anyway defending this ministry, I am only trying to educate you, letting you know that GIS isn't like the 10k website you are developing upandan calling yourself a full stack developer.
