juvewalex: The New notes will still be stocked in large numbers as well in few years from now if government think this is the only way to fight against corruption while courts in Nigeria set free politicians when they face corruption charges.
You stole #9b and court would ask you to pay option fine of #100m .
If we all think these politicians would not have gotten the new notes in large number by now , then we lying to ourselves. People that their banks take cash to them in their comfort homes. Seriously it baffles me when people think it's a good idea because they want to tackle corrupt politicians, these so called politicians are the major shareholders in most of the Banks and can get any amount of New naira notes when they need it. The poor citizens are always at the receiving end, could you believe that to withdraw 10k of New naira notes at the POS is 1k? |

In the US you hardly see people with huge some of cash almost everything is online payment and you’re in shithole that’s why you still sees cash as the best option. Onye ala I know you are still struggling to make ends meet so I don't have to go about arguing with you. |

EnterpriseMan: And you don't have mouth to tell them you won't accept it? On Monday i went to take some money over the counter and the casher brought out old notes. He packed them and was waiting for me to take it, i simply just told him i'm not taking that. He took it back, went inside and brought the new ones. CBN has told all banks to come exchange all the old notes, so if a cashier brings out old notes and you accept it, then that's your problem. I'm surprised you believe CBN told them but they refused. CBN doesn't ask but gives order. |

alobright17: You didn't dispute the fact that even the extension is till 2050 some will still wait and call for more . Now one of the policies for the program is for people like you that keeps huge cash to stop it, see how you boldly saying you have 2mil cash when virtually everything this days can be bought and pay online.
Sorry for your hanging money but you won't say everyone of your transfers has been hanging and I don't even know the point you tried to make by brining the angle?
Villages without network has been in existence even when the old monies was changed and they still managed to keep up so that's never an excuse.
And remember I never said extending the deadline is bad but my point is even if they extend it people will still call for more extension True or false? Excuse me? I'm a business man that makes sales above a million so what's your point? I can see that it's because you are poor that's why your sense of reasoning is so myopic. By the way what's two million in today's Nigerian economy? |

jcross19: are we in banana republic? It's not done anywhere like this, the period is too short in a sane county it will take the country years not even a year , years before it become illegal but this is country making things hard for their citizens. When will black get it right? Why are we so wicked like this... Don't mind some people here spewing thrash, those senators if they need the New naira notes they will get and the deadline won't even affect them. For those saying that the date shouldn't be extended will be the ones to cry the most if peradventure the deadline stands which I know is not possible. Supposing they've released enough New notes by now it would have been in circulation. |
Politics › Re: Senate To CBN: Extend Deadline For The Exchange Of Old Naira Notes Till July 31 by Sylva2147: 7:37am On Jan 25, 2023 |
alobright17: Even if they extend it to 2030 some people Will still wait for new extensions. We Nigerians are at times unnecessarily and unreasonably stubborn, that's why someone will go and cue to register for PVC and refuse to go and collect it thinking they're doing Buhari. That's not the issue, can you deposit all your money when you don't have the new one to make use of? I have up to two million and the new notes is not even more than 10 pcs. Let them release the New notes for people to access then stick to the withdrawal limit policy. Do you know there are still some villages where there's no network at all? In as much as the policy is a good one I think there's need for them to work even on their network issues first. I transferred money to someone since August and the person is yet to receive the value neither is my money reversed. We keep visiting banks everyday yet no result. |

elpochas: I stand with the Senate on these, all those saying they are doing it for their own interests don't know wot they are saying.Imagine the deadline is 31 of January and so many people hv already stopped taking d old notes as of yesterday. So many big shops hv stopped taking it,u cnt use it in d airport again cos those selling their have stopped taking it.The new notes are scares. So tell me why won't d deadline be extended when CBN and banks keep playing d blame game on d detriment of d poor Masse's.Or u think if a serving senator wants d new note he cnt get as much as he needs in a corrupt country like ours. Its high time we leave all these political bullshits and call a spade a spade. Most of them don't even know the effect of what they are saying, as a result of this so many businesses will collapse because a common man can't access the money and it's not everyone that has phone come to talk of mobile banking. The reality will soon hit them if the deadline is not extended. You can imagine as at yesterday Banks are still paying with the old notes over the counter and some ATMs too. |

Eberechi24: OK, you said you have gas,
pressure of your engine might be low to accommodate the compressor because compressor is little load to the engine. tune up to the engine normal not too high not to low
another possibility is this
the cooperation of the compressor is not complete change the compressor if you can afford it , or manage it okay? if u want change use R134a compressor for maximum satisfaction Good evening engineer, please I'm having a similar problem with my AC, at first it used to be cool at intervals but when I embarked on a long journey and my temperature started rising I noticed it was blowing only heat instead of cool. Now I was thinking maybe the gas has finished and when took it for a refill it was discovered that the oil has dried up which I equally bought but the problem is even after that It's still not cooling. Please what could be the problem and what do you suggest I do at this point? I was advise to buy another compressor and the condenser. The car is Peugeot 307 2004 model. Thanks in anticipation. |

Evidence1000: PamelB, I must not fail to say that you're doing a great job over here. Without mincing words, I must say that this is the best story I've ever come across on Nairaland. It's packed filled with everything you can think of; suspense, humour, lessons, sex, yes sex! Don't mind all these self righteous people here on this thread that feel that they're too disciplined to read anything about sex. Abeg fire on, no knowledge is wasted. You never can tell; you might be saving someone's marriage over there. Your inclusion of sex scenes doesn't portray you as a bitch or a bad girl as some people might think. It rather portrays you as a very versatile writer. Fire on girl! Can't wait to see the end of this story. I love you and your works. More grease to your elbow! you just spoke my mind, as in what is wrong with someone narrating exactly what happens in the bedroom? Absolutely there's nothing wrong from what pamelb is doing, in fact I have learnt a lot from this story especially the sex aspect of it. 2 Likes |

unless the man is under a spell if not I don't see any reason why he should go to court in the first place, just get another beautiful girl that is willing to service you to your satisfaction, and as for the children you don't need to bother yourself all you need to do is to impregnate any woman and have another child if you so wish when those children grows up they will be the ones to look for you. |

Don't just let me start, i have many things to say... I disagree with you on the issue of electricity because light has improved tremendously in country, in fact sometimes we spend three good weeks with steady light, which is something I have not experienced in this country for the past twenty years. And for the employment you are talking about I have more than 7 graduates in my family that some of them graduated as far back as 2010 without a job not until this N Power is being introduced and all of them are earning 30k every month and I think is a very big relief to me. Please let's leave bigotry aside appreciate when there is need for it and also criticize not base on tribalism.
