Enigmatic icon: With your statement, you probably are supporting bad morals in our nation..How would you find gay and lesbianism a right way of life? Its absurd..I beginning to suspect something..did you hear me say being gay or lesbian is good morally? I never did. That assumption cannot be made by you or anyone else. It is between the person who choose that lifestyle and their creator. In the min time everybody should be allowed to live their lives as they choose. Is fornication moral? Is the government stealing from the poor moral? Is marrying muliple women moral? Is allowing your children watching gory voilent blood drenched movies and cartoons moral? Are muslims in the north marrying child brides moral? Why are'nt all these being criminalized or frowned upon? It's just pure and utter hypocricy, misplaced priority and disrespect for fellow humans. |
talktimi: you're such a nonsense pikin shaapparently i did. That's why you had nothing better to respond with than this shambolic and cringe worthy comment. |
Abagworo: Don't be too quick to judge. An accident might have occurred and Amaechi wants to politicize it. I call that a smart move though. So Jonathan has bombed Igbo stores. Hahahahahahaha! Only a toddler will give this unfortunate fire disaster a political attention.so the state government not ruling out the possibility of arson in a fire that has cost people their life savings is political? Did they mention any name? Did they in anyway suggest it is connected with the ongoing political crisis in the state? What should we call your state of mind? Guilty conscience or just plain ignorance? |
talktimi: Do you guys actually believe anybody can just loiter around the Rivers govt house like that ? Even long enough to light a dynamite fuse ? There are gullible people sha but im not one of them. Try going too close to any govt house building around Nigeria and see if the security men on ground no go show una pepper. This is a despicable situation quite alright but i believe it was staged by in house people to garner sympathy.shut up! Go and see the level of security outside the rivers state government house since mbu became CP. How many police men have been withdrawn from the governor's detail? Are'nt these the same police men who refused the governor access into his own residence. The CP now moves around p.h with a longer motorcade than the governor. Go research facts before vomiting trash. What benefit will ameachi gain from setting his state onb fire to give jonathan and excuse to declare a state of emergency. Especially now that things are going so well for him. |
Google on Tuesday released its list of the top-trending searches of 2013, which showed that two year-end deaths resonated most in a year packed with news events, product releases and well-traveled memes. “Nelson Mandela” and “Paul Walker” were the top two trending search termson Google’s global list, which this year surveyed the results of 72 countries — the largest sample Google has ever taken. Google’s top trending searches, global: 1. Nelson Mandela 2. Paul Walker 3. iPhone 5s 4. Cory Monteith 5. Harlem Shake 6. Boston Marathon 7. Royal Baby 8. Samsung Galaxy S4 9. PlayStation 4 10. So gays and lesbians have no right to freedom of speech, expression and cohabitation? Is anybody forcing anybody's kids to become and gay or lesbian? This hypocricy and ridiculousness from nigeria is downright idiotic and tragic for our intellectual growth. |
A gay rights magazine has named Pope Francis its person of the year, an honour that has coincided with his 77th birthday. The Advocate, the oldest gay rights magazine in the US,has conferred the title on the pontiff for his encouraging words on gays and lesbians, describing his papacy as a stark change from that of his predecessor Benedict. Francis is also this month's cover star of the magazine, which has placed a tattoo from an anti-homophobia campaign on his cheek, even though the Vatican insists there is no change in the official position on homosexuality. The publication hailed as a landmark the pope's famous response to a reporter who asked about gay people in the Church: "If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge?" The Roman Catholic church teaches that homosexual acts are sinful rather than homosexual tendencies butThe Advocatehas said nobody should underestimate any pope's capacity for "persuading hearts and minds" in opening to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual people. Francis, who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday by sharing a meal with the homeless at his guest house, has had a spectacular 2013 despite only being elected in March. Splendour eschewed Last weekTimemagazine also pronounced him as the person of the year, congratulating him for shifting the message of the church towards mercy and away from condemnation. He is also credited with the 'Pope Francis effect' - a boost in church attendance figures in Italy and the UK - and praised for his use of social media. His simple lifestyle and informal apparoach has also garnered positive reaction. Francis has eschewed the splendours of the papal palace for a suite in a Vatican hotel and traveling around in an open-top vehicle rather than the bulletproof Popemobile. But some of his acts have surprised people. His decision to wash and dry the feet of two young women and Muslims during a Maundy Thursday mass was a dramatic break from tradition. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/americas/2013/12/gay-magazine-names-pope-as-person-year-20131217134732509460.html

enigmang: Then those people should wait till after 15 January to see the president.. what is the problem about....you have no defence of this ridiculous policy. And it's PEROID!!! |
C.P mbu will never enforce this directed because his job description upon appiontment was to enforce only anti ameachi rulings. But it's only a matter of time before the national PDP realise that they sat idle while monkey took the keys and starting driving the affairs of their party in it's most important state. I will say it again and again. Anti jonathan sentiments is growing in rivers but he will never loose the state due to regional ties. But the governorship of rivers state come 2015 is now a toss up. |
gregg2: Why not simply answer his question. Forget propaganda. Which 23 LGA chairmen are we saying defected to APC?the same local government chairmen who came to government house port harcourt to welcome the APC leaders some month back. I don't know where you got your misguided information from but ameachi never dissolved those LGA's. Only obio akpor. I said it that the PDP is sitting by and watching a monkey called wike taking the drivers seat of it's branch in the second most important state in the country. PDP loosing rivers state is becoming more plausible by the day. PDP thinks it's impossible because they have wike's Grassroot development initiative (GDI) to help them. But what does it say about the so called grassroot campaign which cannot get the support of the most grassroot executives(LGA chairmen). We're watching. |
solomon111: Nonsense.no such thing is done in the united states. I guess personal responsibility and choice is something the nigerian government know nothing about. Everybody should be allowed to make their choice. Incase you don't know some people may find it offensive to honour the nigerian army. Example igbo's. Why would they want to honour a force who committed genocide on their land. Why would they be forced to wear that? Why is'nt the nigerian government commissioning emblems to honour the biafran soildeirs who lost their lives fighting for what they belived in? And will yoruba's and hausa's agree to wear such an emblem? This government has no clue to to do so they come up with trash like this. |
Edwin clarke is the only elder in the niger delta. All others, especially those who signed this letter are operatives of the APC. Some wise cracks here are trying to push the blame to the state. Very good, why has'nt jonathan called out dickson for the lack of development in bayelsa? What has he said concerning seriake dickson moving his government to abuja? What federal project has jonathan approved for his region? |
This idiotic thread makes my blood boil because it gives credence to what some racist have been trying to do to mrs. Obama, portray her as an angry black woman with a flirty promiscous black husband. How can you determine someone's state of mind or character by a spontenous pic. Utter rubbish! |
Billyonaire: Obama scored so low on this, for Mandela's sake, why all that snapping and hugging at a funeral? I am disappointed.why was'nt it a shame when the south african's present in the stadium where dancing, booing and cheering? How does obama, cameron and the danish p.m taking a pic diminish the occasion? Did he stop obama from giving one of the most rousing speeches at the funeral? Your critisim is myopic. |

He put his family, his country, his time, his life on the line, and he won most of these contests. Stubborn til the end for all the right reasons, it felt like he very nearly outstared his maker. Today, finally, he blinked. And some of us cry, knowing our eyes were opened to so much because of him." Oprah Winfrey:"He was everything you've ever heard and more – humble and unscathed by bitterness. And he always loved to tell a good joke. Being in his presence was like sitting with grace and majesty at the same time. He will always be my hero. His life was a gift to us all." Don't mess with the learnered once. No wonder policemen mounting road blocks don't stop any car with "nigerian bar association" sticker. |
Big4wig: Eww..see as dudes dey trip for fat..imagine how she would look like if she gives birthbeacause they are'nt dogs, so they don't go for bones. |
Ublaize: It's only 14. Six more to go.don't be decieved. Queen elizabeth ii has sued forbes and many others who have tried to inquire about her wealth. The british royal farmily is the richest farmily there is. A wealth that george 1 started building. That peaked during the reign of victoria, when britain was the most powerfull country on earth and futher expanded by king edward, king george v,king edward and king george vi. Her majesty is also the ultimate insider trader. With access to global intelligence report and the best banker, she knows when to move her cash and investments before catastrophy hits. Don't be decieved. |
Abagworo: That shopping mall was started during Odili era and I believe politics of land has a lot to do with its stagnance.governor ameachi and his team are in talks with shoprite to buy the building and refurbish it as their first branch in port harcourt and indeed the south. The ameachi government has already sold the superboard stores by the government house and the constuction of a new mall is even in ongoing. Futhermore, the government is also in talks with hilton groups for the sale of delta hotel. |
The queen arriving kano, being hailed by traditiona horsemen. The queen being introduced to prominent igbo leader. Nnamdi azikiwe.
|
Queen elizabeth ii as queen of nigeria paid a visit to her realm soon after her coronation. It was the latest stop of her 6 months long tour of her empire/commonwealth. During her visit, she travelled extensively around the country. To all three major zones of the nation. Lagos where she met the then founding fathers of nigeria and traditional rulers like the oba of benin, to the city of port harcourt which was the beautifull preserve/retreat for the whites and then kano where she enjoyed a durba and horse parade by the emir.
|
And some he goats seem to be cherry picking their criticism. They have forgotten about the okrika ring road, which even ada george could not build for his people. Ameachi has done it. |
jusRadical: Please stop displaying your high level of ignorance in the public. What do you know about road construction? What do you mean by international standard? Apart from RCC please name other continental standard road construction companies in PH. Is it gitto, mcc, solberg, zerock, homan, or lcc?akpabio can furnish julius berger with all his state's money as he likes so they can take it back to germany and invest. Gov. Ameachi the smart man that he is has a policy of "rivers money for rivers people" that is why contracts are awarded locally and beneficiaries like chief o.b lulu briggs can re invest in the state and create jobs, like the 3 hotels he has built. So stop wallowing in your ignorance that julius berger is ultimate. Sounds like a child berating another for saying mimee or dangote noodles is better than indomie noodles. |
"GO AND DIE PROMO" are you a widow? Are you ready to be insulted by a governor? If yes, christmas has come early for you. You can be a lucky winner of 2 million naira and appiontment as special adviser in edo state. "GO AND DIE" promo. Text "oshiomhole" to 33345. Terms and condition apply.
|
This is what happens when you have a man with questionable mental condition like tukur as head of africa's largest party. Only him said those governors won't be missed, now he is still claiming them as "his members". Is like a man maltreating his loyal and beautifull wife, she gets fed up and lives him for another man. Then jealosy start consuming him and suddenly he knows how important she is to him. |
danot1030: why do they always lie abt their health status and why must a leader of a country nt hav confidence in his country's medical establishment if he has provided a world standard hospitals?if his health is not affecting his ability to govern the nation, then is his private buisness. And don't make it sound as if leaders trying to keep their medical condition private happens only in nigeria. John f. Kennedy spent his time in office managing an excruciatingly painfull back pain and abused pain killers that made his delusional and confused. That's a man who had his finger on the button of the largest nuclear weapin arsenal. Ronald regan mid way into his presidency suffered alziehmers and abused pills to keep it secret, winston churchill abused pills to mask his growing alziehmers during the last days of his prime ministership, the list is endless nevile chamberline, anthony eden, dick cheney, frankly rooservett, etc wishing president jonathan recovery and good health afterwards. Though we don't agree on much. |
The radical humility of pope francis is gonna cause a major sift in the church soon. A shift so voilent, it might be an earthquake. And many won'r be willing to follow this new pope's way.
|
After plenary, i saw him moving out of the chamber with other senators. He was wearing a dark cap, a white native jumper and white trouser. He held a black cain in his hand. He looked rather sad! |
Ki-Katanga:your analogy is quite confusing. You just said if u.s debt run out of control they'll just print more money to pay and now you're saying if china, japan and the u.k do anything to devalue the dollar. A word of advice to all of you. Debt is an essential part of great economies, the bigger the economy, the more the debt. The key is to keep servicing it. When you default, a problem comes. If you don't you're home free. |
