I listen to both gospel and secular I could sit hear and think of parts of the bible (not to exclude anyones religion but i'm not aware of what other religions teach) that make it ok but I'm not really sure |

TOH: seperate for what reason?
Why is it ok for people to clam exceptions but at the same time call other reasons "wrong" and "against God". How are your exceptions not against God as well? I was simply stating a religious fact, didn't say I believed in it. |

There's still hope, don't be disheartened, though it might be hard to find elligible bachelors around your age bracket. My mum's in the same situation and the only men that are available are either divorced, irresponsible (having children up and down the place) or just want papers so they can stay in the country. But they are still available, make the best of what you've got I say |

TOH: Still not making any sense
Please quote me the bible passage that says "Abortion is a sin unless it's by rape, genetic dieases, etc" because you people are just making up nonsense now
Personally I'm pro-choice so unlike YOU guys I don't go around saying "According To God, abortion is Murder EXCEPT FOR blah blah".
Abegi. If you're going to believe that abortion is murder, you better just accept that no matter the circumstances it's still a sin and stop fooling yourselves. Abortion is a sin according to the bible, in it there are no exceptions as it said 'Thou shalt not murder' someone asked where it says abortion is a sin in the bible and there is evidence to believe it is. I didn't say the God makes exceptions I meant that I do. They should be taken as two seperate arguments. |
Family › Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by syren: 6:19pm On Jun 29, 2008 |
TOH: Are you aware you just contradicted yourself?
Where in the Bible does it say this so called murder known as abortion is a sin EXCEPT for rape, genetic dieases, threat to mother's life.
So it's ok for you to assume abortion is a sin according to God but it's ok for humans to add "exceptions" of when it's "justifiable"
I ask again, is this a JOKE? The bible is a reference I was referring to if people live by it then they know GOD is against it, it's a fact. My opinion was that it can be a reasonable solution to desperate situations. They aren't the same thing. People kno murder is a sin but if their not religious they'll do it so it depends on your individual morals and beliefs. And no this is not a "Joke" |

Esss: Abortion is not murder, it's not ruthless, and those who carry out abortions are not callous.
And yes God will forgive you. Infact is it even a sin?? where in the bible did it specify the word "ABORTION is a sin"?? It is a sin, and it says so in the bible. noetic: and i would like to think unneccesary includes just genetic diseases, right? it could be necessary or justified I should say due to rap/incest, if the mother's or the baby's health is at risk, |

I'm against unnecesary abortions that's why I class it as murder. |
Family › Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by syren: 5:48pm On Jun 29, 2008 |
noetic: not all of them. abortion should b a capital crime like murder. That's true, it's not a crime yet the government complains that abortion rates are too high. I think it's because people pay for them, that's why they don't take action. It would also go against the basic human right of freedom of choice, I guess. But either way I agree it should be a crime, unless the baby is a risk to the mother's life or a result of rape/incest. |
Family › Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by syren: 5:26pm On Jun 29, 2008 |
abortion is murder full stop. It's about motive aswell, maybe there was a good reason to have the abortion like Mes said already but there is hardly a way to justify murder unless it was self defence. |

Hannibal: Now, Rap music should be banned so these kids who never had anything they wanted can return to selling crack and toting guns. No one's talking about banning rap, it deserves a place in the music industry like every other genre, but rap just isn't what it used to be. And why does drugs and crime have to be their only other option. Sure their poor, but that's no excuse to become a criminal. |

Siena: I would, yes.
I wouldn't even be considering the operation wouldn't work - that's a "get-out" clause, if ever there was one. If I make the sacrifice, he / she may or may not survive. If I don't make the sacrifice, he / she will die.
So, I would definitely lay down my life for my child. At least, he / she would have a fighting chance. syren: What if you had 3 or 4 other children to consider would your answer still be the same? |

I don't condone the idea but what if she needed it? |

studentetc: @ poster
You are not supposed to spend money on your girlfriend i.e allowance and all, because she has a father!
A little gift on occassion, or at intervals should do it. if you're spending money i.e account deposit etc, then you have started falling mugu. What if she doesn't have a father? There are always exceptions |
