I know naija aviation is lacking, planes get missing all over the world and are never found or found decades later. Millionaire adventurer Steve Fossett's plane went missing in the USA about 1 year ago, have they found it? NO! Anyway, conspiracy MUST dey for naija story ![]() How about this, the pilot was given $5M, he has undergone facial reconstruction at a 'secret' hospital in Spain and is currently back in Nigeria as the technical adviser for the minister of aviation, his new post is improving the aviation ministry's search and recovery unit. |

Jackal:Not exactly more goals. Arsenal just needs to have a two goal lead and they will be back on top, not because of alphabetical order but because they will have more overall goals scored, 26 vs 23. |

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7025386.stm African refugees have been banned from Australia for " having problems integrating into Australian communities" ================================================================================== A freeze on the settlement of refugees from Africa - including those from Sudan's Darfur region - has been announced by the Australian government. Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews said the refugees had trouble integrating, and other parts of the world such as Iraq and Burma were greater priorities. The freeze will last until mid-2008, and there are no guarantees that Africans will be admitted after then. Critics say it is a pre-election pitch to immigration-wary voters. Mr Andrews said refugees from Sudan and conflict-torn Darfur were having problems integrating into Australian communities, and that trouble spots closer to home should take priority. To that end, Africans are being replaced in the humanitarian refugee programme by people fleeing Iraq and Burma. 'Xenophobic' jibe Australia has accepted or is processing about 3,900 Africans this year - 30% of its total refugee intake. Just two years ago they made up 70% of the total. Critics have accused the government of a pre-election move to appeal to xenophobic voters, and they have also said it is absolutely wrong to argue that Africans are failing to integrate. One community leader said they were making an immense contribution to the economy by taking jobs which many Australians simply did not want to do. Certainly, there is a nativistic streak in parts of the Australian electorate. In previous campaigns the Prime Minister John Howard government has benefited from concerns over immigration - especially in regional seats. Only last year the town of Tamworth in New South Wales voted against hosting a trial refugee resettlement programme after the Sudanese were branded as criminals by the local mayor. So fierce was the condemnation that the council was forced to reverse that decision. |

Abeg, don’t listen to people that tell you to lie your passport is stolen. That is just compounding the story as for life when you fill Visa forms you have to state your passport has once been stolen (its a question on most forms) and that immediately raises suspicion. (unless you want to spin yet another lie) I will advise you to take it to a passport office and have them make an observation on it ( you have an observation page). All they need is another stamp and make note of the damage of it is not extensive, simple. Dont lie please, our ppl sha. |
angel101:What can I say again? When FBI no even fit find the source of the fake email yet you watched the show and Oprah talk she never did such a show in the link on her website. angel101!!! No shaking I like ure conviction sha, did you even look at the link to her website? |
angel101:angel101!! Please stop that this very moment, haba. Very soon someone will say they were on the show Oprah said all Nigerians were corrupt and she pointed to him/her and said including you and matched them out. PLEASE read the links and let me know how you got to watch a show that never was, AH AH!! http://www2.oprah.com/tows/slide/200705/20070502/slide_20070502_350_102.jhtml http://urbanlegends.about.com/b/a/256527.htm I am still waiting for a valid link she made the statement on all Nigerians by the way, |

ummm, am I the only one that can not see the link that actually shows Oprah saying, “all Nigerians – regardless of their level of education – are corrupt." ![]() All I see is a letter to the Punch making this claim, please can someone show me such a link she actually said this? Oprah will be insane to make such a statement with all her years of experience and advisers, until I see such a link (and not a letter from one Okoli Vitalis) I say na lie! |
@blackmamba whats BS about that? For example someone goes to an interview with a worn out suit, another with a lovely cut suite. Which one strikes the best impression? Same as the car you drive. |
@blacknbold Your boss cycles to work because he wants to keep fit, thats actually a plus for him if his own manager spots him on one, that shows he is responsible and disciplined about his health. For the guy on a bike, I believe it was an okada. This was a status thing and for the same reason even in US, if someone just signs a multi million dollar deal with your boss and he jumps into a wreck of a car your same boss that rides a cycle will wonder if he can fulfil the contract. |
Interstate is the key word, most of them have a wooden poll they use to push telephone wires up because they are SOOO low within the city. Dont try and run one between ojuelegba and Tejuosho LOL Too many wires! |
abstarr:abstarr, did you really read the initial post? Poster has TWO 1.5HP and a freezer, so if we use your calculation of 7.5Kva for one 1.5HP AC thats 15Kva for two, Yes? That case sexyme's initial estimate of 18Kva was not off as you need to now add freezer etc to whats left 3Kva. sexyme, dem dey easily challo you o! ![]() |
@walelead Don't let efficient news coverage and statistics deceive you. Please tell me the number of homicides in Ajegunle over the past 5 years and classify the ones that were gun related and knife related? Chances are you can not get that info accurately. But any city in the US will provide that info for you without much ado. Look I was car jacked in Lagos in 2000 with my wife and 1 year old kid, I still dey wait for the newspaper that will carry that story. The other day in my hood some jobless teenages walked in my neighbors garage and took a six pack and some booze, he chased them, they ran, called the cops, they (wait for this o, jobless olopa) took finger prints off his fridge and it was in the next days paper, wetin go happen if person die? Lack of crime coverage does not mean it is low, its the norm. |
Some people yarn dust as if they know everybody's situation, what is wrong in making 15m in naija and contemplating relocating? My advice, if you are a biz man, forget it, it means you dont even have a resume to start looking for a job abroad. And business in naija, and abroad can be very very different in concepts and mark-ups. Maybe you let your wife go abroad with the kids. I know of someone who earned 8m naira, relocated legit and earns $90k after 1 year. Its not the same story for everyone, but this dude was employed by a multinational and was always on training abroad before he made his move. If you are a business man, try open a branch abroad, let madam start running it and see how it goes from there but dont leave now. |
immaculate conception part 2, i dey tell una say end time don come, how far! Anyway, no be only belle u suppose dey fear, also fear STD AIDS and all d million yama yama wey fit dey the so called "precum" Next time u will be careful, no bare-back touching, enjoy ure period in d next few days, |
Nnenna you 2 tright! ure description of the stranger was awesome. I am expecting more o @davidlyan I can bet (unless Nnenna throws some miraculous twist) that this is a village setting, the reference to the "pink-duplex" was simply reminiscing on time past, "log of wood" "firewood" "storage hut" that doesn’t sound city 2 me, so the rifle goes with the story line in my opinion, |
@gigitte LOL@Reverend must be a typo u meant HIV-2 all d time rait? ![]() |
I suffered the same embarrassment, I was going to give free blood o, with some pips from work. If its the 1st time you will have to fill some form and yeah they specifically mentioned Nigeria and some other west African countries. For Nigeria it was mainly because of HIV. HIV-2 specifically which is concentrated in West Africa. Because HIV-2 is rare, routine blood screening test in North America might not detect the virus. HIV-1 on the other hand is more common (in the rest of the world), easier to detect and has more effective antiretroviral drugs (for obvious reasons) By the way, if you were born in the UK you will also not qualify because of some disease called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), so dont feel bad, the nurse saw the look on my face and went red trying to explain it wasnt a prejudiced decision, warever e pain me |
actually my intention was not to take beyonce1 2 d cleaners, I just found her write up very very accurate and wondered how she had the time to write that down so fast, and my spidey senses started to tingle. Perhaps she should have pointed she lifted it somewhere? Maybe her prerogative but just wanted to point out it wasn’t an original considering all the personal accolades. @Jackal I aint a professor o, its all thanks to d power of google ![]() Walelead, I guess you have all the answers you need and can make your decision now. Didn’t wanna hijack ure post |
Beyonce, that was so good I found it http://www.gov.im/oft/consumers/Personal_Finance_Borrowing/credit_cards.xml ![]() @bankymi leave akolawole alone o, he knows it all ![]() |
Yeah, yeah, stay away from driving on the highway because people die in car crashes, do not use the internet because of child predators and identity theft and it goes on. Life is all about taking calculated risks, you just need to have self control and know your limit. Just make sure you pay off whatever you spent within the period your card stipulates (usually between10-30 days on most cards)and you do not pay any charges( of course you get a card with no annual fee). But make sure you don't use it at an ATM to withdraw cash b'because u instantly pay interest with that transaction. If you manage ure card well it will help build your credit (FICO) score and you can use it in situations in which you can only carry out a transaction with a credit card, e.g rent a car, u-haul truck to move etc. Infact you can make some money off a credit card, by simply passing most of your bills to a card that gives reward points and have an automated deposit from your checking account to fund the card, at the end of each year you make about a 100 bucks that you can claim in groceries, gas etc. depending on how much bills you had to pay. If you are not disciplined and flash your card everywhere it will be your doom. |
@praetor Ronaldo was fat not Ronaldinho. As for his performance, well you get your days off, someone will soon call him mediocre now, yeye ppl. |
