Ewo, wicked employer.
Make one person go reclaim money, no police or law enforcement agent involvement.
Why send someone to collect money anyway? The loan agreement must have collateral attached so since the borrower is in default just call in the loan. That is the end of the story. Am I missing something here?

Since you can't seem to see in the article what even blind Stevie Wonders can see I will paste it for you

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has marked the opening of a $1.5 billion, Chinese-funded deep seaport in the commercial hub of Lagos that authorities hope will help grow the West African nation’s ailing economy.

The Lekki Deep Sea Port is one of the biggest in West Africa and will create hundreds of thousands of jobs in addition to easing cargo congestion that costs billions of dollars in annual revenue, Lagos Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu said Monday.

The port — whose container terminal is able to handle at least 2.5 million 20-foot standard containers per year — will be operated as a joint venture between the Nigerian government, Lagos state, Singapore-based Tolaram Group and state-owned China Harbor Engineering Company. Both foreign companies own a majority stake of 75% in the project.

The whole thing was funded by China and Singapore will you get that through your cement head. I know that you are a mouth piece for the government but at least learn when to cut your loses and move on.

I am on the fence about praising this project.

I am happy for any project that pushes Nigeria to greater heights.

Disclaimer:
I haven't commented on this issue because I didn't have the specifications, and this information shed some light but not enough light on the project. This is not a military site, where structural and engineering information are ambiguous by information design.
I will be criticizing this project based on the general information that has been provided. I have no researched information to the specific of this project. I only ship my containers for import or export to the ports, and go clear them through the unprofessional staffs that many people experience at the ports.

Anyways, 1st off, this was a very expensive project by a long mile. For 600meter and just two shipping berth, this is too expensive at the $1.5 billion price tag. The port at long beach california, was expanded, over 10 shipping berth added, with the labor fees for the American workers - that covers health care, paid time off, injuries, nstural emergency situations, etc. It was less than $250 million. This long beach port, had seismic designs features included to the project, all manners of fire containment and protection, etc. Overall, the price of construction for the whole port, if built today, might be a little over $3 billion. Remember, this is the busiest port in the USA. Over 65% of import and export go through this port. If anyone, has been there, you will know what am talking about.

Now, we have this Lekki port, that is 2 ship berth, for $1.5 billion. There are no engineering specifics like telling us what features might have been added during construction to make it that expensive. So, they borrowed money ( please ignore where they said china and foreigners have a small percentage, let them post the original document of agreement. They borrowed huge money to build a hut. This is a hut when compared to serious ports. also know that, it is not only about the ships, they also have to have features that will make inspections, container handling, and container releasing to be seamless. That might have been included or not included in the deal.

Long story short, we were duped. Korokoro duping. It is not different from when house of reps, charge the treasury excessive amount for their toiletries, feeding, and accommodation. This project is a scam, and I wish more details are released for transparency reasons. When someone in a race, take one step and stop, that is not progress, that is effort but not a good enough effort. We were duped, from what I am seeing from the already released information.

We need to have the project information released, including materials fees approximates, labor approximates, machines used, a more detailed scope of the project, etc It is good to know these things for posterity, and it can also help future construction engineers learn in many ways, including knowing that many in Nigeria might criticize the project due to information. If it were a military project, they will hide their firewall specifications, the scope of the project, and other vital information. As this is, now, this is not a military thing, so they should release more information on specifics, because I honestly doubt the amount of this project. Also, it will let our leaders know that we are not aloof and ignorant about how Nigerian borrowed money are spent. It will let the next administration know that they can't just tell us anything and it will fly.
Partner let me let you in a secret this port was constructed to enable China to offload military hardware into Nigeria in the event there are any disruptions to their oil import. Google Strait of Malaga then you will understand. if ever war starts in the south china sea the first thing the seven fleets will do is blockage of the strait of Malaga. After that clock starts ticking on Chain (50 days) they will be out of oil. Start looking at the big picture people. China investing their money is not because they like Nigeria. The USA is doing the same thing in Liberia. Liberia was founded by the USA

there are seaports at Warri, Koko, Lagos, Onne, Port Harcourt, Calabar

Currently, apart from the Onne Port, most of the other ports servicing the Southeast, South-South and the Eastern flank of the North are virtually idle.

Despite having six seaports in Nigeria, Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos is the only one functioning properly.

NOW THIS ONE IS IN LAGOS AGAIN.....

WHAT HAPPENED TO OTHER STATES WITH DEEP-SEA?

I think you are asking the wrong question. You should be asking NDDC what have they been doing with all the money given to them. SS and SE need to look inwards for solutions to their underdevelopment. Neither the North or SW are not the cause of your problem.

Partner, you can buy sperm at the sperm bank for $50 freaking dollar. Buying an egg is an entirely other matter. So which one again is more important? I know of a black woman here in Miami making over $200k a year that has had two kids each time she bought sperm. The kids are doing fine. Too bad women in Nigeria still think you need to sleep with a man to make a baby. The world is freaking changing. Go to any sperm bank you will see the line of men donating sperm for money. I hear you... but said in urban settings.... how much space is your personal space when someone is always half a breath away? A recent ruling by the Supreme Court? now allows New Yorkers to carry conceal weapons. Everybody is against it because they know what will happen. As is now ... you get caught with a gun is mandatory prison time. In Nigeria it's different and things would get out of hand real fast because of very poor law enforcement. Fulani's were allowed to be armed to protect their cows .... see how well that worked out? UGM or whatever they are now were armed to protect the Igbos from Fulani attacks .... see how well that worked out?.... now what can we project will happen when ordinary citizens are all armed?.... besides shooting the theifing politicians on sight? It's a slippery slope.
The latter alone justify ordinary citizen carrying a gun anything against the politicians in Nigeria is fine with me. On a serious note Texas per capital basis has more gun ownership than any other state in the Union. How then can one explain why there are more homicides on per capital basis in Chicago (Illinois has the most stringent gun laws in the country) than in the city of Houston in Texas? Do you know why there are practically no armed robberies in US homes? maybe it's because there are guns in 90% of US homes.

In urban settings every man with a gun would lead to an increase in gun violence. One workmate had a friend who always packed two guns in this anti gun city .... he was shot dead ... never had a chance to use his protection. There will always be criminals .... and if one knows or suspect you are packing... they will shoot first rob later.
I like my odds partner. I live in a stand-your-ground state. If someone invades my space I have the right to shoot first and ask later. That's what makes Florida different. Those Northern states with their anti-gun policies amaze me. The only thing that can stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun.
