I think the opposite will happen. I expect Dollar to come down to 675. To really bring down the rate that CBN Chairman has to go. The man is a Banker, not an Economist. Take him out and watch the spread between the official rate and the Black Market comes down.

Power is really transient
Can anyone call GOD former....huh??
All power belongs to GOD indeed
Get fu*k outta here. Nigerians have been praying to this your God since 1960 guess what either this your God ain't hearing us and he ain't answering us. Cos, things were just getting worse and worse. For example from the Excellence Hotel roundabout in Ogba to Berger, we have at least 40 houses of worship on that road, all praying for the same thing. I have come to the realization that God has completely taken his hands off when it comes to Nigeria issues.

Modern refineries are not major pollutants. I work and live in Corpus Christ, Tx, USA. There are about 5 major oil related industries in the city.
Wasn't there a major fire recently at the Valero's refinery in that city? Texas and Louisiana are the most polluted states in the US closely follow by West Virginia and Oklahoma

Mrfeel:
How about the environmental pollution it will cause in Lagos , is lagos not too small and crowded for such a big refinery?

I read:
Oil refineries emit large amounts of air pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. These pollutants can cause respiratory problems, including asthma, and increase the risk of heart disease and lung cancer etc i think lagos is too small and crowded for such a big refinery
Main reason Oil refineries shouldn't be built near major populated centers even the state of Louisiana doesn't do it.

PDJT:
-Few, not most, may share household bills in Nigeria, but not 50:50 as "equal partners" should. Most Nigerian women marry men above their socio-economic status and won't be able to share most of those bills anyway, and this leaves the men running against brick walls in order to keep the home going - a thankless job.

-Perhaps, men who wants to get into this monogamous relationships needs to marry only women within their socio-economic status not below. This can go along way to normalise their relationships...

-The African man is carrying too much of the burden to build a home, village, and city for his community and people. These things weigh men down and affect their mental health too. So let's cut the men some slack, and also stop nudging them on to keep on ruining their physical and mental health for the good of others especially women. The African woman must step-up and carry some, if not half, of the burden in order to earn some respect.

- As par the household chores, thats why Polygamy is there... more hands gets things done sooner and better, otherwise "partners" should invest in some white-goods and live their Europhile lifestyle in peace.
Even in America, nothing is 50:50 unless both of you use joint bank accounts (Something I will strongly advise against doing). In all my years of living in the USA whenever a woman makes more than her husband trust me on this one aspect Nigeria women are still better as compared to American women. They still tend to respect their husband, but American women forget about it she rules.

JovialJune:
Very funny

The problem with you Nigerian men is that you think all the nonsense permitted in our society which you get away with, also applies there when you travel out, very funny.

There are so many women earning their living in Nigeria because the economy permits it, there are so many women earning more than their husbands in this Nigeria, so what exactly is the difference between Nigeria and U.K?

The real reason why Nigeriaan women refuse to take your bullshit abroad is because you think you can eat your cake and have it, the constant polygamous in nature bs, treating her like she is nothing, cheating anyhow, controlling mindset with subjugation and dominance, will not be tolerated in a society where people's mental state and health especially that of women is important for a sane and functioning society, unlike here that it is expected of women to remain in abusive marriages because society says so.

If you like keep being pained that Nigerian women are on a fvcking spree same as you men that take pride in it, something that has been going on and rampant in Nigeria what exactly will be the difference abroad? How exactly is it a new found freedom?

You nl boys really over rate yourselves sha.
I was this close to agreeing with you on some points until that overrate thing. Depending on the woman's age if after 35 she wants to leave I will say please let her go. Until someone can show me what freaking things in this world appreciate in values with age and after being used. The Same thing applies to men.

IbeOkehie:
$5K is high or low depending on the property tax RATE. If you're paying that amount for a house worth $2 million, it's cheap. For a house worth $200K, it's expensive. So what's the RATE.

Income taxes in the USA are very low compared to other industrialized OECD nations, maybe even the lowest. Also depends on where you live - zero state taxes in Tennesse & Florida for sure. For the record I love paying taxes because of the services I get in return, including PROTECTION OF PROPERTY RIGHTS.

Nigerian income is tragic, no other way to describe it. Only 0.4% of Nigerians earn over ₦‎200K per month and that's when they can even get a job.
Nah Partner appraised value is $559000 after claiming a homestead exception of $2000 that reduces the tax value to $5287. Florida used to be paradise but with hurricanes, homeowner insurance is getting out of hand. Thinking of moving to the Carolinas

It is well. That's why I laugh when Nigerians in the UK, US, Canada and other European countries compare the living costs in those countries to Nigeria. Wetin $145 fit do for you compared to what you're earning? If you are in Europe, that one fit no pay just your energy bills in a month sef
That US number will put you in an effective tax rate of 30% (Federal and State) and if you are unlucky to live in a city where they charge city and county tax then your number goes up to 32%. Now ask an average Nigerian if they are willing to pay over $1200 of their $4200 in taxes, I bet you the overwhelming reply will be hell NO. In the US ain't no way to avoid death and Tax. I finished paying for my house 6 years ago, but every freaking year I still pay over $5k in property tax.
