Brilliant!!!

Even western nations that are far ahead of Nigeria after taxing income and petrol still collect toll, their roads won't improve otherwise!!

Oh you wailers, especially the ones that probably were still in primary school when we had toll gates , crying and blackmail won't solve it, this will happen!!!

BTW, some of us love the idea of toll gates and are thrilled... A place to chill when driving taya person or tire less or hot wee wee hol person. smiley
You wrong. Do you know that in the US no Federal Highway is toll, only high way under state control are toll example the Florida Turnpike. Federal government collect six cents per gallon sold and 9 cents per gallon on diesel to fund all Federal roads. Last year the Federal Highway trust fund brought in $260B.

Government does not create jobs.
Citizens do.
Just create an environment which will allow the creativity and knowledge of your citizens to shine.
You cannot make an entrepreneurs, inventors, manufacturers out of those who are not.
All government need to do is the the above, security, education( emphasis on technical education), health and infrastructure.
Yes, government spending can result in Job creation.
However those jobs are created in the process of tackling the problems above.
I couldn't have said it better. Thank you. Reduce tariff on what business people pay both at the federal and state level. That will help business than all these nonsense this government is throwing out. If you have an office in Lagos and you provide parking space for you customer to park, Do you know you will pay N100,000 per year to the local government for parking permit, and if you put up your company name on a sign erected outside your office that is another N100,000 per year as advert fee to the same local government. Can someone tell me if this is not a shake down

This man sure had a defiant swagger.

Intelligent. Refined. Suave.

A fine soldier. General Ojukwu.

Then, when youths were men.
The man had more balls than all our current so call leaders combine. That is just my opinion. Ask yourself are we better off the way the country is currently set up or do we need to try something else. This is so call United Nigeria benefits only one group of people, the Northerners. The rest of the people are just being taken for the ride. Insanity is doing the something all the time and expecting different result. Think about it people, there are more local governments in the following Northern states KANO and Bauchi combine, than in all the six South Eastern states combine. Now ask yourself why do you think that is the case. I will tell you FUND ALLOCATION. The whole country is a joke.

Unfortunately, I come across this everyday even some married ladies. The question usually on my mind is "didn't they check themselves out in the mirror before leaving home?"

Was once in traffic at Igando market, there was a couple trying to cross the road and the lady had her panties all up in my face cos they had to pause at the median a while before they crossed. I felt disgusted. Personally I don't condemn wearing leggings, jeggings or woreva they call it. Ladies should quit patronising the cheap nylon types. There are thick ones that won't have all ur ass and panties up for show. Ladies also should avoid wearing brightly coloured undies under leggings. It's gross biko.
All this was noticed by you while you at a traffic stop. Wow !!!

All corrupt individuals should face the consequences of their actions.
That will include every person living in that country. When you have a country where an average civil servant working for the government can not afford to dream of buying a house, sending his or her child to a decent school what options exist for that individual. You have a plot of land costing N500M and some people are buying that and nobody ask them how they are able to afford the land. Make a deposit over $10000 at any bank in the USA, and see what will happen to you. I can assure you somebody will look into it. Corruption is in Nigeria DNA.

That is the C-130 for your information American still uses that plane to carry military equipment. That plane in the pic was from the 1998 version a newer version went into service in 2013. Very reliable plane similar to to a bigger version C135 "Hercules". Can take off and land within a shorter distance.

But we want to build cars. Aint that the reason given for increasing import duty on Tokunbo by 70%. What a country. Too many book economics without practical aspect. Why dont the bastard Central Bank allow Western Union receipt to be pay out in dollar at least that will put so liquidity in circulation. Money transfer has nothing to do with your external reserve. He wont do it because he dont care and because he is a banker. That little step will bring down the rate by at least N20.

The car looks live Toyota Venza. I am so happy that this car is produced in my dear Anambra state. Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) is going global and will soon meet the standard of the Japanese cars.

Proudly nwa Anambra.
Nah. It is a Hyundai brand I forgot the name. I am very sure it is an Hyundai. Venza wheel base platform is bigger than that. I wont put going Global and Innoson in the same sentence. Remember that is being assembled in Nigeria not made. There is a big difference. I am proud of the effort because I know how much work is require just to build an assembly plant. The paint booth alone can cost upwards of $500m. GM Truck and Bus paint room at the Arlington TX plant cost that much.

Open the hood of the car then you will see that car was never made in that Country, Look I am not saying maybe assembled but made nahh.. Nigeria dont have the facilities to make one fifth of the components needed to make a car. Anyone that know the Product Structure needed to build a car will tell this.

You have no idea who Obasanjo is. Trust me. He's much more than you talk about. To know him you'll have to study his life and Nigerian history; that will take you like 3-5 years full time and will need you to empty your mind of the prejudices you already hold. That's the most difficult part. It would be the honour of my life to meet this man and thank him for what he's been able to do for country. I'm in my 40s and have been studying Nigeria since 1985
Can you tell me just one thing this man has done for the country. Stop drinking the kool-aid man. This man is just as corrupt as the rest of them if not even worse. This man never gave a rat azz to whatever might happen to the country. He was in for only one person himself. Spending how many billions of dollar for electricity that people are still waiting for. In any other country this man will be in jail.

Don't even mention that GSM stuff sef because na lie. It's like someone claiming he brought internet to Nigeria and more praise should go to the finance minister. If our foreign reserves increased (a little praise to him too)

All i see on this thread is yoruba pple praising their fellow yoruba president....simple

IMHO this man should be dead

But that's just my opinion and God is the one incharge not me
The man is a fabrication of their imagination. I dont have any problem with people praising whoever they want. That is their right to do. what I have issue is when you equate Obasanjo with greatness. Great man he ain't.

papaejima1:
No that's not my plan. I asked a question.
Meanwhile, I am a strong advocate of meeting the Fulani aggressors with superior force and mind numbing violence. It is the only language they understand.

I have a neighbour who hails from Enugu and he told us a story of how his village man went to the bush to set his trap. A fulani led his cows into the bush and one of the cows stepped on the trap set for ground squirrels and grass cutters. The fulani got mad, climbed up a tree and patiently waited for the villager. When the man returned in the evening to check on the traps, the fulani shot a poisoned arrow straight into his heart and he died on the spot.

The youths of the village said enough was enough, mobilized, hunted down the idiot and his cows, dispatched him, then blocked the expressway at several points, stopped every vehicle carrying hausas or fulanis and began a "cleanup exercise". It took the state govt to make them stop.

Since then, the village has been free of fulani nonsense. In fact they avoid the village like there is ebola in it.
That is how to do it.
My brother be careful for what you wish for. Imagine if the situation was directed at a Ndigbo people in the North and the Hausa community got rid of all the Ndigbo in their area I bet we will be singing a different tune. The Fulani are in the SE for one reason only Free Enterprise. They want to sell their cattle because the market wants their goods. Same as Ndigbo in the North Free Enterprise at work. Remove the demand and the Fulani will not be there. If that is what you want. Like i always say we either one country or divorce.

If you ban Fulani from the SW. Who is next ban Igbo from the SW too. I can see that coming right behind the Fulani. Or wait how about we ban the Yorubas from the North. C'mon people we are either one Country or we divorce. It cant be selective.
