She can tell them during the interview, they put the visa date closer to the wedding date

That's why I said you can still keep it as self employed if you want to stay consistent.
About his annual income and other stuff it's really up to you. If you can wait for another 6montha so his inflows show his business pays him a salary then that would be okay.
You can mention he has a business in the additional info section. Activate the CAC. Then state you his son is paying for the trip so no need to add his corporate account.

I am sponsoring everything and I submitted my bank account. He is retired but he has a business. He has an average income of 5 million that the business can generate but it is not constant. I submitted his business account and not personal account think the business will help the application. Also, that was why I choose self-employed. How can I rectify this please 🙏

Just use only his personal account, remove his business account.
You are sponsoring so ypur personal account is fine. But your your personal account should have more than enough to show you can sponsor his trip.

The. Form should also indicate your Dad is not paying for this trips expenses. Expenses is air ticket, a stipend for commuting and food. Then accommodation would depend on where he is staying.

Form should say he is retired. or even self employed though his business account isn't necessary to add since he's not paying for the trip.

If he's traveling with your mum then that section about who is accompanying can be include her.

The last part of the form where it says any additional information vou can use to address or include information. Especially if it is to take a trip with your mum.

I wouldn't rush to reapply unless they want to travel together soon.

Who's personal account did you use? Yours or his.
The refusal see details are directed to you Dad and what was submitted.

Since you're sponsoring the form has to reflect that your dad is not sponsoring.
So what part are you sponsoring? Ticket accommodation expenses? is your Dad working, does he have an account ?
Who has the annual income of 5million?

It's possible that you have filled the form in such a way that it looked like the bank statements incl corporate accounts are your Dad's not yours.

Dont overthink it. As long as the relationship between you and petitioner is real then you're granted the visa. So yes if you submitted the additional documents and later they said your passport is read for pick up then the visa is there.

Remember this is immigrant visa not nonimmigrant visa.
For immigrant visa the visa validity is for 6months from the date of medicals. YOU HAVE TO LAND IN THE USA BEFORE THAT 6months expires.

Its when you criss the border that you are now permanent resident ftom the date you arrive at US border.

Based on what you shared there is no misrepresentation by the VO. You submitted bank accounts whatever you submit must back up your details on the form

Your business us separate from you. That should reflect in your bank accounts

Get taxes done for your business

Your annual income is what you pay yourself from your business yearly. So pay yourself salary monthly because your business employs YOU.

How long should you wait? 6months minimum


Lastly what you intend to spend on this vacation should be a reasonable reflection of your savings. So you cant put an amount for your trip that is for example 4months of your salary

Leave your sister abeg, she knows you can't pay her back.

You see this misinformation, it has done some people strong thing including my petitioner..

My petitioner got her green card in 2009, she waited for another 5 years to file for us due to lack of knowledge that she could actually file for us as a Green card holder. The lawyer told her she could only file for us as a citizen. Hence while she waited to become a citizen.

You know what's funny, when she eventually filed for us in 2014, she still went ahead and filed for us under F2B category (Unmarried sons and daughters of a lawful permanent resident) the same category they told her she couldn't file for us under.

I don't want to even begin to talk about the delay we had during NVC stage. Upload documents they will wait for 2 to 3 months to review it and then reject it, submit again and wait for 2 to 3 months again. Back and forth like that...

I won't ever forget the day that woman called us from the Lagos embassy to say our Visas have been issued.. That day is one of the most valuable days in my life.

I'd say applying for F2 allows you to see your spouse regularly since the current visit visa is now 3months and single entry.

Pretty16 who started this from another thread which we both were part of her pd date was 2011 she got to NVC in 2017. And she has submitted petition twice because the first petition was denied due to mistakes so she lost a few years.

It would also depend on what kind of spouse you are.
Spouse of us citizen or spouse of legal permanent resident.
One has visa limit per fiscal year the other doesn't.

Either way, till your case gets to NVC and you are documentarily qualified then you can track when you were likely to be interviewed at consulate.

In your case your petition has yet to be approved so you wait.

I think police report lasts 2 or 3 yrs.

For medicals , I'm sure the email told you where to go.
Book appointment quickly so you can get a date before your interview .

Just have all the documents you submitted for documentation printed. If you don't have 2024 tax transcripts or tax returns then ask your petitioner for it.Thats the most recent one so you need that.

Whats the problem?
The email would have listed the things you need to before the interview.
Start on those things first. Dont jump ahead of yourself.

The only way it may work is if your trip to Canada is honeymoon.
Then you'd have provide firm evidence of your marriage plans and dates plus venue, court registration etc

Na my sponsor get d agent for us and he got January for my family but rescheduled it cos of the heat wey dey dat time. He now rescheduled to August.

The agent sent us a PDF form that we filled which he would have used to fill the online forms

no go lie cos I dey work( salary no reach sha) and I don go Dubai and Ghana B4. I dey gather my pension balance letter, 3 land wey I get, leave approval and other docs for my family wey we go submit. Na confirm pof we go submit too cos my sponsor dey try.

Gosh you know very little about this process.
US will not ask you for proof of funds and if the do...THEY WILL INVESTIGATE THOSE DOCS TIRE, THEY WILL NOW ITS NOT YOUR MONEY.

I do not think it is a straightforward thing to file for I-824. I will have to get the green card first and then file for them to come as F2b(the waiting time there is also crazy) I think or I wait to become citizen after 5/6 years and file for immediate family.

If you file i824 (after you receive your green card);for your family they would be 'follow to join' which is NOT F2B. So their processsing would not follow f2b timelines. With i824 your family would ingerit your priority date.

That's a pretty broad question especially if you don't say what state you are going to. In fact the City is most important.

Minimum wage varies per state however living costs is what's important.
So research with your City and find out what minimum wage is and average living costs.

About skilled or unskilled work that requires few weeks training. You need to know what jobs are in demand in your City. Your City might need you getting a car so sorting out driving and purchasing a cheap car might be more important.

I applied for jobs with what I already had.
Use online resources to style your resume to what works for the US. Lots of tips on LinkedIn and YouTube on applying for work.

My first gig was with a contracting agency so find contract agencies that cover your state and apply to their jobs. They usually have short term contracts and get you the work experience you need to understand the US work market.
Make sure you have your original certs with you in case jobs request evaluation
