So your legal tender has limitations. Ask around, get a banker friend, mix up more and get informed. Do you know that some schools in Nigeria even collect fees in USD? They are businesses being patronised by FG and FG pays the contractors in dollars, in Nigeria. Open your mind and you will make better analysis. Anything coming from this government should be read multiple times over because they don't have the masses at the core of their policies. Who spends official dollars more than the politicians?

The question then is why are Nigerians so concerned about the naira value of the dollar?

The exchange rate is not a value of our local economy.

We were never a bigger economy than the USA when our Naira traded higher to a dollar on the 1960s and 1970s.

The UK is not a bigger economy than the USA despite the exchange rate between the British Pound and the US Dollar.

The government should focus on our local economy and achieving local sustenance, and ignore the exchange rate speculators.

As long as the average Nigerian can get all their needs and have enough left for savings and investments for the future, the exchange rate would be nothing but a number, just as it was when we had a higher exchange rate but a poorer economy compared to the US economy.

Efcc sent warning that 3 Governors were planning to pay December 2022 salary with cash, it didn't tell you that something was wrong, Emefiele woke up and decided to change the currency over night and you think he was mad, he wanted to control the excessive liquidity in the market and he failed. Now the chicken has come home to roast and you are making this weak excuse for a government that doesn't care about you.
Ask yourself were all those cash with those governors went. Were are the eNaira that was minted? Who is keeping the eNaira?
