Jarus:
All the "sauces" have been quiet jare.

"Latest September" remains the latest info.
Hello....

I can imagine how all hopefuls are expecting APLs (especially me) and that's why every single info goes unnoticed in this forum.

NNPC is undergoing a major rejig right now (especially at NPDC), has anyone got info of; to what extent it will be? Is it to create room for incoming personnel? Or just a promise the new GMD hope's to fulfil? What's the latest(real)?

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/350437-why-we-redeployed-npdc-managers-nnpc.html

Oga Jarus/xfire/Easymoneysniper & All well done.

May Almighty God continue to bless MAMADOR

Gistpeeps:
The Nigerian graduate whose story went viral as she revealed she earned good money from selling food with a wheelbarrow? Well, there’s more news to celebrate! Josephine not only inspired people with her story, but also attracted the attention of food giants, Mamador.

Josephine’s hard work was rewarded as the Mamador team visited her in Abuja to present her with a brand new mobile kitchen as part of the Mamador Empowerment Initiative for food entrepreneurs. The gifts did not stop there, Josephine was also gifted with Mamador products, ranging from the Cooking Oil, Seasoning and Margarine; and other branded gift items. Going through the stress of pushing her food around is now a thing of the past, thanks to Mamador.

My thinking Bro....

It is really absurd. Maybe we're still soaked in this "Giant of Africa" thing...

ADint:
Why is the FG issuing risk-free Tbills at 15-16%huh Investors would still fall over themselves to buy at 8-10%!!! If banks can get 16% for risk-free, sleep-very-soundly-at-night Tbills why would they bother lending to any sector of the economy? They are looking at a juicy spread of over 10% without having to make any effort whatsoever!

Another very important question; How does the FG fund the huge interest payments? Is it affordable and sustainable? Hell no! For OMO yes the fg needs to issue local tbills but definitely not at those ridiculous rates! For other borrowings the govt needs to issue dollar dominated bonds at around 5% or so which would still be very attractive to foreign investors considering their virtual risk-free nature. China currently has over $1 trillion dollars invested in US tbills at less than 3% returns!

This is our usual govt's upside down way of thinking and doing things which in the end hurts our economy, enriches a few including foreigners, but the bulk of Nigerians pay the price!

Thank you for your view on this subject matter...

NigelCundy:
The question can be rephrased by saying "Asides from the general description of this role, what are the day to day activities expected of me" or "what does an average day on the job look like"?

I say this with all due respect: Your second paragraph emphasizes the point I made about many panels not being trained to conduct interviews because they think "it is just an interview".

With my knowledge of the HR industry both home and abroad, I can tell you that a candidate who asks any of the questions I posted above shows a zeal towards the job rather than someone who just wants to get a job, and this holds for both EH and GT positions. This is simply because organizational environnements differ based on different factors. So, there may be some untold activities that an individual ought to perform daily on the job. Eg Meeting with the COO, or checking in with your supervisor.

Dear All, I will once again reiterate my first point that it is not out of place to ask about some of the day to day activities you are expected to perform in a role. Whether you are changing industry or coming in as a graduate.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Apply For 2019 NNPC Graduate Trainee And Experience Hire by talk2dace(m): 12:33pm On Aug 25, 2019
Bros, pls what other way can the OP's question be paraphrased??

Secondly, as I have taken part in several recruitment panels, the impression I get with this question is that you are a person that doesn't pay attention to detail ESPECIALLY concerning a job you long to take either due to passion or survival. What happened to last minute research a day b4 the interview?

I beg do not mislead younger interviewees. What happens to "1st impression matters"?

My candid opinion.

Ndewo!

NigelCundy:
You made an awesome submission boss. However, I think it doesn't warrant the interviewers to be upset.

As the OP stated that they did not previously inform them about the JD prior to the interview. Also, even if they had given the description and responsibilities to be performed by a candidate, it is not out of place for a candidate to ask what the day to day responsibilities of the job is because it gives the candidate a better perspective of what he can expect in the role and it also allows them weigh their strengths against what a regular day on the job looks like.

I am of the opinion that many Nigerians who make up interview panels are not trained for it, that is the reason many of them lack judgment and allow bias in their selection.

OP, you weren't completely wrong. I'd advise that you compose the question in a different manner when next you're faced with such a situation.
Good luck.

Thank you oga Jarus.

Timipre Sylva State Minister Of Petroleum
So what next??

Will he be interested so quickly in NNPC recruitment? or if he has a familiarization meeting with Mr Mele Kolo Kyari(GMD NNPC) this week then our speculations heightens again.....

Just like one of us stated earlier, compiling scores, gathering candidates per state/LG, and so on will take time not to talk of making reservations for external candidates (you know what I mean). So from say, mid July till now is still a good time. I expect anything to happen from 3months upward.

Well done Mr Jarus.....you are an asset here. Most of us are here to know what is happening as we wait hopefully, so do not be surprised with APL or not this forum would be on "quiet" until the next recruitment

Bro are you insinuating that those yet to get alert are likely NOT to get APL??

Abeg oO!

onandoc:
I actually understand your point tho but lets be realistic, the statistical difference is huge. If 1300 jobs are going to be distributed among 9000 candidates(estimate), that is less than 15% success rate. Now out of every 100 people that interviewed, only 15 will be successful, if you compare that to the TF alertees vs non alertees, the difference is huge, not only on nairaland, check among your colleagues, friends, other online sources(twitter and d likes), If you look closely, more people are yet to receive alert.

I have some people in my company that earn as much as 15m per annum, relatively secure job if you think of it. And they keep telling me that their major regret is not leaving for masters abroad when their peers were leaving. They have worked upwards of 10 years. They say it is because they can't boast of a quarter of the things those peers have archived by now, financially. Plus the future of their children. They never expected that things would get so bad in this country. They keep advising me that if I have any scholarship opportunity for masters abroad I should leave before age passes me by that there's no much future for we the young ones in the company. Some even have side businesses that give them additional income so don't think they are mediocres.
Bros pls & pls which company is that??

I have over 12yrs working experience....can you mail/pchat me?

Pls What's ur prediction/update as per APL as we await?

How long? Any info? What do you think biko?

Ndewo!

Jarus:
I have mentioned this several times on this thread. I was actually the one that advised him to reject NNPC for Oando then.

I think my counsel was right. The guy is now a Senior Manager in Forte Oil. If he chose NNPC in 2012 (as a GT), he would at best be in SS4 (senior officer) in NNPC today. Of course he may currently not be earning what a Manager in NNPC earns, but it will compare with SS1 or SS2 at worst.

Bros...local man can only tell u that, the 3k was ur tfare....
I NOT sure NNPC pays salary through personal accounts.

It's strange why we'll be paid Tfare through a "Compensation Analyst" (staff) account.

I have done my little investigation on the guy who sent me 3k on 24/07/19. His name is King-Anyam Terhemba Ter a Compensation Analyst.

3k as Tfare for an EH?

Is this another case of corruption??

A strong advice/suggestion I beg this good house...who has received alert? How much? Arrived for interview from which state?

We'll need to arrive at a conclusion on Tfare matter and not theories/postulates....

I do.
Major users of this platform are from the South West and South South.
We were interviewed based on the location we wrote the CBT that's why you see most lagosians interviewed on the 6th. There are a lot of SW guys here that's why when the 1st payment was made it seemed like only people who interviewed on the 6th got payment that day cause they came to nairaland to update us, while in reality people from all dates have received. So nobody should come here and authoritatively say that (s)he is sure a particular date hasn't been paid.
Has anyone interviewed on 2nd been paid??
