Fashion / Re: Helping The Poor These Days Is Very Dangerous by Talk2Suzan(f): 3:16pm On May 01
Testiebobo:
In this life not everybody you see really deserves a helping hand. I can tell you that some poor people are proud than some elites.
We once had a neighbour who we were very close to. As in family-friends. So one day i saw the trouser that my friend was wearing, the trouser was under-sized for him because he had grown taller than the trouser's length. And that is even one of his best trousers he wore to church.

So one day i picked some of my favourites clothings and jeans trousers even palm shoes. I ironed the clothes and some trousers and presented it to him. He was very glad and happy and showed his mum, the woman pretended to be happy about it sha.

But till date, i have never seen my friend wearing anyone of them. The thing pain me o because i still loved the clothes and shoes i gave him. I am even confused maybe it is my friend or his mother that are ingrate. What do you call this type of attitude?

Happy new month!
One thing I noticed here is you did it with good intentions and I know how it feels when appreciation is not expressed in a way you expected trust me. But in some cases, that is doesn't mean it was not appreciated.
But here are what might be the case here
1) The guy might really love the gesture but the mum have advised him not to wear them because of how bedeviled the world can be now

2) He might feel intimidated wearing clothes you dash me. Strictly a thing of pride and nothing personal, he doesn't want to show it hence he accepted it.

3) He might have even sold them to get some money because he knew they were very good clothes.
Whatever his reasons are, it doesn't mean it wasn't appreciated- Fear, Money or Pride might be a factor, so just take solace in the fact that it was accepted and remove your mind from it. As long as the relationship with the guy is cordial, no wahala.
Personally, before I offer you food, clothes or money I must observe you to be the type that have asked for it before, directly or indirectly, to avoid misunderstandings like this.
You did well with good intentions. Don't let that stop you from being a nice person.
And I see comments like this is why I don't help poor people, bla bla bla. Hope y'all are related to Dangote. I hate it when you general things, there are a few less previleged I've been blessed to be of assistance to in my own little way and till date, the gratitude is almost embarrassing. So please drop it! Not all poor/less privileged ppl are ungrateful or abuse privilege.
Happy new month to you too OP.

Romance / Refusal Strategies For Introverts And Shy People. by Talk2Suzan(f): 10:21am On Apr 17
Saying no is always tough to someone you love(family or friends) when they ask for help. It's even harder if you're naturally introverted or shy. Here are some tips to help you think about your response, make a decision, and formulate it in a way that avoids misunderstandings or hurt people's feelings-

1) Stall for Time:
Don't rush your response; try to buy time to make a decision. Use phrases like:
"I need to think about it."
"Give me a minute to make a decision."
"As soon as I formulate my answer, I'll let you know."
"I'll give you an answer by... (mention a time)."

2) Diplomatically Say "No":
After weighing the pros and cons, if you've concluded that the answer will be negative, you may struggle not to offend the other person with a flat-out refusal. For example, if a friend asks to borrow your car, and you're not comfortable lending it, but you're hesitant to say a firm "no," use one of the following formulations:
"I'd prefer not to have anyone else drive my car."
"I try not to lend out my car."
"It's important for me to know that I can use my car whenever I need to."
"Unfortunately, I won't be able to lend you my car."
"I feel uncomfortable knowing someone else is driving my car."
"I promised myself I wouldn't lend out my car to anyone."
With such statements, it's difficult to argue. If the person keeps appealing to pity, conscience, or a sense of fairness, persistently repeat your refusals. Eventually, the other person will understand.

3) Wrap the Negative Answer in Positivity:
Another way to refuse is through sandwich monologues. You start with a positive statement, then delicately but firmly say "no," and conclude with another positive statement:
"I understand you need a car this weekend. Unfortunately, I can't lend you mine. I hope you find a solution."

Remember, it's okay to set boundaries and prioritize your own comfort and well-being.

So the election was just politics to you people as usual...smh. Well giving how the election went and how Nigerians where denied a democratic result, you have no moral justification to ask for his support.

I was at the LCDA Ikota and rice, bean and garri did not arrive till almost 2pm and those are the main item some many of them came for. So many that came early had left out of frustration. I hope they are better organized next week because I was told they had to close by 8pm and they where still not able to attend to everyone on ground.
Mummy really needed a hug here, probably has a lot of mouth to feed and is wondering how long thats gonna last. God bless her❤️

Although, I don't like chikki like that like that sha, but I'll just manage it, since we're in Tinubulation.
One shouldn't be picky in this era.
Chikki is not my first choice either but when I was told the price of a cartoon of indomie when I wanted to buy it, I have to find love in Chikki. Even the Chikki now is no longer affordable.
Just dish a plate of food for me when you cook moving forward, I've left the kitchen for you people abeg😩

Career / Valuable Lessons From The Corporate World by Talk2Suzan(f): 7:27am On Jul 03, 2023
Some of the biggest lessons learned in the corporate world-
1. Use your brain at work and emotions at home

2. Nobody is your friend at the workplace. Trust me!

3. If you can solve every problem of the management, they will always be by your side.

4. Never write/reply to any mail when you’re frustrated.

5. Your boss could be friendly, but at the end of the day, he is not your friend. Respect boundaries.

6. The relationship between Employer and employee is solely based on revenue.

7. Don't fear failure and rejection.

8. Follow up is the key to everything.

9. You'll meet some amazing people; learn from them.

10. Feed your subordinates with your maximum knowledge, encourage them, cheer them and eventually when they make breakthroughs, celebrate with them. The best thing you can give to a person is your knowledge.

11. Focus on developing and using your strengths.

12. Work until the work is done.

13. Learn how to change the situation, not the person.

14. Effective communication, negotiation and leadership skills are a must to learn as early in your life as possible.

15. You’ll find a colleague in every office who keeps bitching about everyone. Find that him/her at the earliest and stay a mile away

16. People are nice to you only when you are influential or they need you. Once the need or influence changes, so does their behavior.

17. Shit travels up. Never complain about your superiors to peers or staff.

18. In any company, everybody is a salesperson. If you are not selling anything, you are an expense.

19. Everyone is replaceable and you will eventually be replaced.

20. When you are the star performer, most mistakes are forgiven.

21. Stay out of comparisons, you are unique.

22. Human Resources is there to protect the company, not you.

23. You are never the smartest one in the room.

SIGNS YOU'RE MENTALLY STRONGER THAN YOU THINK.
1. You understand life is cool when nobody knows anything about you.

2. You embrace consistency and discipline, not motivation and self-help books.

3. You let people win arguments on purpose to conserve your mental health.

4. You have trained your mind to master your feelings and control your ego.

5. You have forgiven your parents and love them for who they are.

6. You no longer entertain family members and friends who have zero ambition in life.

7. You don't force your beliefs on people. You understand that not everyone thinks the same way you do.

8. You have trained your mind to stay calm when things go out of plan.

9. You never force anyone to choose you. Instead, you let people do whatever pleases them.

10. You've realized that you are not responsible for anyone's happiness but yourself.

11. You don't allow pain to destroy you. Instead, you build strength from the pain.

12. You've mastered the art of taking action without waiting for the "right moment".

13. You no longer stress about other people's opinion.

14. You're smart enough to realize news, politics, and cheap dopamine are the worst distraction toward your goals.

15. You've trained yourself to take nothing personally to protect your mental health.

Staying positive is therapeutic, keep a positive mindset always.

She's not supposed to force herself, anything that will put pressure on the abdomen should be avoided. If she doesn't fell like pooing then let her not force it, if she's pressed and she noticed she needs to apply pressure, please call her doctor for advice or go back to the hospital. Fruits should help soften her bowel but it depends on how fast she's healing.

It depends on how old you are though, but I'll advise traveling if you don't have a business idea in mind. Maybe during your travel you'll have a good biz idea to invest your money if you still have some left. But if you have a biz idea in mind, pls stay and invest.
