wait! Did you just say you squat with them?? You also bought a perfume of 11k?? You are not serious at all undecided
This is my thought too. If he can afford to buy a perfume of 11k as a student, it means his other stuffs like wears e.g. shirts, trousers, shoes etc. and some other things should be of high quality to go along with a perf of 11k, yet he is squatting with about 6 other students in the room. I guess his priority or scale of preference isnt right at all. He needs someone to really explain how things should be to him.

I think you got it wrong. I am a Christian but I dnt see anything wrong in this advert. It was well stated that the school is an Islamic school. Although I understand your point but yet, the advert says "preferably Muslim" and NOT "must be a Muslim". I've seen advert of some secular schools owned by Christians dat will even state that an applicant must be of a specific church (you will see something like "so so church member only"wink. You have a point but I dnt think it's applicable in this case since it is a religious-oriented school. Thanks.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Waec Nov/Dec GCE 2015 Coordination starts Nov., 4th, 2015. by talk2yommex2000(m): 9:46pm On Aug 23, 2015
Sunnypar:
While WAEC marking is not an employment opportunity, and cannot even be quoted in the CV as a viable working experience but facilitates your chances of been employed by good schools, the advantages of
coordination and marking is stated below:

1. It puts some coins in the pocket. In about five (5)days of using your leisure to mark, you are guaranteed at least N10,000. Can serve some
purposes;

2. The informative content of the coordination is helpful for teachers. Helps you know the best way to prepare students for the examination. It also enriches the teacher's research and lesson notes;

Please, invited or not, if you live near the state capital, check the marking venues used for coordination. Gate-crash (if not invited) and you may be fortunate to get a pack.

1. There is no difference the only difference I see is that the former prepares students for education outside Nigeria or provide educationspecifically tailored to enable students "enroll" for foreign educational institutions seamlessly, while the later prepares you for O'level and possibly acquiring knowledge not relevant to the immediate economic and cultural environment;
2. As for International schools, yes, but not all because there is AISIEN a body or association of international schools with foreign affiliation or partnership. Many schools that bears international, there nothing international about (pay wise, laboratory wise and working conditions) them not the mention they are not members of AISIEN. Some high schools are members of AISIEN but many are 'Kereje'. Comprehensive, high, low are just figure head title.
3. For someone without any teaching experience, starting around is the best, then after a year you can move out because you have gathered experience. Yours truly did same.
MAcjc, made some analysis, which in my own opinion is correct especially if you want to further your studies, acquire certifications. Also schools around is good for pregnant and nursing mothers but not good for singles. Yes, leaving your comfort zone is good, but you have to consider many factors such as transportation especially in Lagos and rent. Am guessing, you not in the labour market yet.
4. It all depends on you, especially if your pocket can carry it. Professional certification is what most of this grade A schools like, however, some of "us"only have a first degree and have taught in grade A schools. In my own opinion, certifications in this profession are as follows TRCN, CIE, IELT and IGCSE. TRCN is quite good for educationists while others are gotten if the schools is certified by British council to undertake such programmes.
Nice One

Please get you facts right or better still post or send the name of your friend's friend who told another friend who happens to be you about what he knows about the College.

I started the College in 1998 first as a tutorial centre using my father's property in Ikorodu. I left in 1999 to work outside and gather more experience, another reason why I left to pick up a regular job was the cost of running a business and the unpredictable cashflow in business.

The school is located on 3 plots of land. Although I started the school my father a retiree from UNILAG who is now in his 70s is the Proprietor, he assisted me with payment of salaries. My father who is the Proprietor used to come around to visit the school in Ikorodu once in a week, he was never involved in the running of the place.

Between 1999 and 2014, yours truly worked in management position in various schools in Lagos. Although while working in other places, I was keeping tab of happenings and progress made in the school. I played a major role when the school was approved in 2004 because most of the inspectors from Ministry of Education Alausa were my classmates and juniors in the University.

The problem with the school started about 5 years ago although we have overcome the problem. Mind you the Principal is solely responsible for the running of this school. A guy became the Principal about 5 years ago, through series of palace coup, back stabbing of the guys who even brough him to join the college.

Not long after becoming the Principal, the Proprietor stopped his weekly visit to the school. As a matter of fact before I became the Chairman of the College about a year ago, the Propreitor nor his children ever visited the school for 4 years.

The Principal only visited the Proprietor to collect cheques for the running of the school, the guy rented out the property to some other business concern without informing the owners nor the money collected remitted to the owners. He sacked the Bursar and put his own crony as the Bursar. He collected money from the owners for the awards of contracts which he never delivered to the contractors, he has a personal account where some of the school fees were paid into. The guy was buoyant enough that he built a 3 bedroom bungalow for his mum and also bought a car for his girl-friend, eventhough he has his wife and family at Ilesha Osun State.

I partially came back on board as the Vice Chairman of the School in 2013 October, when my auditors stated auditing the books of the school they discovered fraud and unremitted school fees and WAEC fees running into millions of Naira. The guy also embezzled the staff co-operative money of about 900k.

The guy was not sacked but he ran out of Lagos, but ever since his friends and sympatisers who ate out his loot have been spreading falsehood about the school.

I fully joined in September 2014 as the Chairman of the school, because Baba (Proprietor) is now aged and he is just recovering from the shock of what the last guy who he really trusted did to him and his business.

I am the new Proprietor in quote, I just finished liquidating all the debts inherited from that guy.

As earlier said, please do me a big favour by sending the name of your source to me.

Thank you and God bless our hussles.
Thanks so much for your time to explain in details what had occur in the past. I am passing this info of yours to my friend to seek for the details of his said friend. Thank God I didn't act as if the info comes directly from me in the first instance, and d source was the major reason why I opened the comment with my personal statements (first paragraph) before stating the info gathered. Just as you've requested, I will try as much as possible to get the details of the man, even if it's just gonna be his name.

But please, I have a question. Who exactly is "a deacon in Apostolic Faith Church"? I only copied and pasted those info here the other time as posted to me.

Thanks once again.

Are you sure of what you have written?
Which part precisely? Pls read the first part of my post carefully. One thing is to be noted here, even if the source of the info is not 100% right, something must have warrant a school to change its teacher almost every term. (I am aware of ds fact myself because I av a neighbour whose child attends the school). All in all, I think the first paragraph of my original comment should have taken care of any contrary opinion, and I think it was well stated there that my source even pointed it out that, there is possibility that the said owner would have change for better. Thanks.

Do u read the opening part of my post at all? Besides, I think it was well stated how I obtained the info for the guy who requested for it. If you have a contrary opinion, different information or personal experience regarding the school, I think the best thing to do is to share with the person who needs the info rather than concentrating much on what I posted. Just go ahead and share your experience so that the guy can benefit from it. Thanks

.....kk. Thks!
Pls, dnt be discourage abt anything. Give it a try and see wat is obtainable. I am saying ds because I dnt want you to ignore the invite based on the info I am abt to giv u because it is not a firsthand info. I got ds frm a frnd of mine, who claimed dat he also once had a friend who was once a teacher in dat school. This was wat he posted to me now. The statement below is dat of my friend.

Fountain College is one of the craziest schools we have in my area (Ikorodu). The man who owns the school claimed to be born again christian, a deacon in Apostolic Faith Church but his characters and attitude preach against what he professed to be. He is so wicked and very cruel, he doesn't appreciate anything irrespective of how much you labour for him. He employs teacher every term (if not every month) due to his frustration attitudes that normally discourage his staff. As for the pay package, I dnt knw but in terms of welfare, it's a NO frm me.

MODIFIED
Though he added that, nothing is impossible, as the man might have change for the better.

HE JUST ADDED THIS TOO
To get to the said school (Fountain College), board ikorodu bus, alight at Idi-Iroko Bus stop, at the front of C&S primary school (government owned primary school). Cross to the other side and locate Agbaro Street or ask anybody the name of the street. Walk on the street for about five minutes and ask anybody around that you are going to Fountain College. The school is actually located at the end of the street.

..

Good questions
1. In a town, there may be two marking centres. E.g. In owerri, there is GOVT sec Sch where mainly Arts and Languages are marked abd GTC where Sciences are marked.

2, An examiner marks the scripts. The checker's job is crosscheck the scores allocated to ensure that they are correctly recorded and calculated.
Woww! Thanks bro., at least I know more now. Does that mean, for instance, any1 who intends to mark Chemistry (in owerri) shld NOT attempt to go to Govt Sec Sch on Friday, but only GTC. If so, how do I get the know the appropriate venue in ds case beforehand so as to know wch of the venues to go on Friday?

Secondly, out of Checker and Examiner, wch one pays more in terms of cash or is it same payment per scrip? You may kindly state the payment per script for checker and examiner.

Pardon my ignorance o bro, I'm a first timer. Thanks.
