People's skepticism about this sorta relationship is obviously because it leaves very little room for on-the-side shenanigans. My girlfriend didn't quite buy the idea when we started out, but we're still at it and going strong even after having left the campus. If both parties are sincere about their commitment, it can be rewarding and a lotta fun. |
I prefer his former look, jor! This new one makes him look like a teenager almost. |
365naijanews: this guy to hand some. gmyguy: ...hand you some d0pe abi?...no sorry hand you some sentencing spacing manualOga, small-small na. Lol! |
bekay911: Some can be fruitful y some r just for d moment.Babes, what's with the sexist vibe? From simple averages, there are more guys at the top of the class than girls, so it's more likely to have girls parasiting on the guys in the name of relationships. More likely, I said. Of course it happens in the other direction too. |
amyg: D lesser u know,d better 4 u.so many e-advises,wen r we gonna get realThe less you know, the more likely you're intent on playing russian roulette with your marriage (like marriage isn't enough of a gamble as is). We need to know as much as possible. If what you've learned about your intended life partner proves too much to handle, it's perfectly ok for you to feel you deserve a better deal with someone else (or being by yourself, for that matter). Admit it and jump ship! And I'm sure it's a far better proposition than having to wake up in the morning and wonder what shocking trait or secret you're likely to learn about your spouse today. Enjoy your marriage, don't endure it. |
amyg: D lesser u know,d better 4 u. AmBeautiful: nice but incomplete! One of the joys of being human; we'll always disagree. |
1025: just a couple of days back, jonathan released 155 pages of his achievements. his wife is in germany and ppl are dying in hundreds on road accidents. no fuel in lagos and abuja. no one is talking about security any more then one will be forced to ask, where is the 155 pages if our first lady finds no hospital worthy of handling a stomach problem? It truly is a shame the number of avoidable deaths we are made to suffer as a people. |
Wallie: I think it should be mandated that all commercial bus drivers and their conductors learn CPR.[/b] Sounds like something Fashola can pull off! Some of us are either trying to turn Fashola into a superhero of sorts or we're just being plain mischievous. Shouldn't we let him concentrate his efforts on achieving human stuff before demanding superhuman ones from him? Bus drivers and conductors, two of Lagos' most endangered species given their mindless recklessness must now be turned into CPR-administering life-savers by Fashola, abi? I hear you! I'd rather the drivers worked on cutting out one dangerous manoeuver from their driving repertoire everyday. One less bit of dangerous driving per bus driver multiplied by the number of buses on Lagos roads daily seems to me like a much safer Lagos already. |
I find it hard to see how the advent of the N5,000 note which will make it FIVE TIMES easier for individuals to move cash around will encourage cashlessness. Stumps me. I thought the smart money would be on, the smaller the denominations available, the less inclined one would be to want to hold cash. |
billante: The problem is that the CBN is the only institution doing anything. Roads are not being built. We have no new airports. No progess on new power plants. No rail lines. So every time we do something all hell breaks loose.I like how he takes a dig at the system here. The only non-depressing comment in the entire piece. |
Your uncle's (father's brother or mother's brother) wife's younger sister... Long story. You're in-laws, people brought together by other people. In-breeding is out the window because if your uncle and the girl's sister hadn't met, it could jolly well have been you both joining the families together. Don't see a lot wrong. It's only a slightly tricky situation. |
shymexx: Breast implants? Dammit!! You should have got butt injection - big batty is winning right now, I tell ya...Truly, life is short. As for those steps, it would be nice if you could follow them and get over the hurt in good enough time to not just carry on with life, but make the rest of it even better given where you've been and what you've been able to wade through. But were things to prove a little too knotty, 'getting even' works like magic for some people. A couple of no-strings-attached shindigs could do you a world of good. Seriously! Don't say I told you, though. |
Mucokey: Even if others might ve been over _blown...the above quote has made me appeared, practically...a MUMU of sort . I can't see myself shelving this awkwardness from my person for a long time to com until my pound of flesh retrieved.I'm impressed by your honesty. Way to go, bro! |
I guess the upside of this is the lady is eager to make an effort. What bothers you (and her, perhaps) is the outcome. Some others won't even go near your kitchen door, let alone touch your chopping board. Like some have already said here, if it matters that much to you, call time on the engagement and save you both the hassle. Otherwise, make do with her plus sides. By the way, it's not cast in stone she'll never learn to cook someday... |
sub_zidi: ACNE and the rest of you ignorant brats criticizing Chioma or speculating whatever means used in getting her babies! I'm almost forced to pronounce that God puts you in a position whereby you would also require IVF and it fails you like 10times oever!!! People are soooo ridiculous, like are you seriously kidding me??Dis one miss road sha... |
Lanspower: Wey Madam own? I mean our 'brilliant' first Lady... Give am GCE abegI dey tell you! Lol. |
And at four governors annually on average, about 24 would have been settled after eight years. That should account for almost all the PDP governors. Er, a national honour for whoever came up with that formula. |
The ceremony is for Monday, the 17th? Isn't that too close?? Just seven days to get all those plaques and medals constructed. Ah! Some 'awardees' had better respect themselves and show up with their own medals, just in case. |
y2kaustin: ...Sharaaaap!,its true May D,won't have dealt wit biafrans. They r 2 seat tight wen it comes to"the money".And you cannot spell 'sit tight'. Illiterate. Your parents wasted their hard earned money on your schooling. |
deeplow: ...a singer can only talk about one thing in a song(love,heartbreak,sex,hate,disappointment.e.t.c).That's a rather long list of ONE thing singers can talk about in their songs, not forgetting the 'e.t.c' part. You really had me there. Lol! |
And what does it take to rap?? Ok, that was tongue-in-cheek. But seriously, singing's gotta be more difficult. It's lots more technical. That's real SINGING o! Not the sort we get treated to at talent hunt auditions and even by so-called professional artistes! |
manosteel: Is ACN loosing their Ideology? They are suppose to be Progressive, now partnering with Democrat. Let's see how it goes. No, they're not. Going by their claims, at least. They claim to be progressives (leftists), likewise the Dems who are on the side of the American political divide. |
If the ACN needs the Dems to school them on these sorta matters, what then did we learn in secondary school government and POL 101?? |
Ikengawo: This article is a lie and the writer should be arrested for slander. It's illegal in the US for US political parties to form alliances or work with foreign political parties and organization.www.thisdaylive.com/articles/acn-explores-partnership-with-us-democratic-party/124278/ Seems like a genuine story. Laughable, all the same. |
talking fingers: GEJ can visit Iju-Ishaga as many times as he wants. He can offer a gazillion words of sympathy. He can also summon all the forensic experts to investigate what went wrong. It would all be worth NOTHING if people are not brought to book and negligent acts punished severely to serve as a deterrent. The findings of this latest round of probes in the life of this administration should be given some teeth and allowed to bite real hard this time. People can afford to be sarcastic only if you give them a reason to be.And even before compensation is paid out, let alone culpables brought to book, the FG clears Dana to get back into the skies... How nice. |
A STRICT financial audit (if ever it was carried out) was most unnecessary. Simply pay the N16m compensation each. That would be a good start to proving 'financial air-worthiness', whatever that means. |
[quote author=sixfoot+]Please Nairaland mates,my younger sis was posted to Katsina. I have not followed the news on that state lately, watz the security situation over there like and how can one track there from PH by air. My parents are insisting she forfeits it,incidentally she also forfeited batch A of march 2012 for the same reasons. Plz advice as i just want her to go for camp then i will do whatever I can to redeploy her.] From what I gather, Katsina is one of the safest states in the North. I had a couple of folks who went with the last batch. It's just the weather--I hear it's close to the Nigerien border, and the distance--it's some 18 hours by road from Lagos, so I reckon it'll take all of two clear days from PH. By air, your sister will have to land in Kano or Kaduna preferrably, then sit out a three-, four-hour bus ride to KT. Hope this helps. All the best. 08123938301 |
I believe culture is made for man, not the other way round. Just as I wouldn't necessarily subject myself to all the provisions of the culture of my kith and kin, so would I take steps to shield my spouse (already or intended) from it whenever the need arises. Culture should guide without necessarily dictating. I guess the main issue is in identifying a person who's strong enough mentally and otherwise to challenge the status quo, not a conformist who'll always succumb to, not just culture now but family, friends and religion. |

That guy should be taken off that road! A cab my friend and I were riding in made to ascend that bridge just before 7pm yesterday evening when some dude suddenly jumped in front of the vehicle in a successful attempt to bring us to a halt. I wondered "what for??", but then, the guy's face broke into a smile, he stepped away and waved us on. I felt it was probably in deference to the cabby, a mature, responsible-looking 'egbon' dressed in immaculate white who was completely unfazed by the brief drama. But I also did notice 'our man' sure did appear imbalanced. If that's the sort of nuisance he gets up to, it's only a matter of time before he causes an accident or gets himself killed. |

Chinom: How many times we go see this picture ?. We don see am before.Yeah, we've seen it before. But it's that sort of photograph that you can never quite have enough of. It might have been worth next-to-nothing back then, but it's absolutely priceless today. Nice shot! And it sure doesn't look photoshopped. |
