If you look at this statement very well you would notice that what the twenty-four elders were holding was what was stated using 'comas' and 'and'. You should also notice that it was stated that "and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints." You see? the bolded used the adjective 'which are' the prayers of saints NOT 'which is like' or 'which is as'. Hope you know the meaning of 'as and like' in grammars?
Now read the other scripture you used in buttressing your point and spot the difference..."
"Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice."
