Thaiy: I think you just got played by your agent, there is no need for any lawyer arguing your 5.0 in any band, he has just swindled you of $100. Here on this platform there are people whose applications were processed via Nigerian Students Express (NSE) who got PPR with 5.0, be as it may, you can still have your application processed via the normal route.
Get your money back, if you can. All information to help yourself are on this platform if you want to help yourself.
All the best getting your money. When is one required to submit IELTS?? |

Teepearls: I also applied to University of Winnipeg, Winter session(Jan. 2022). Based on the mail I received after my application was completed, admission decisions will be sent to applicants starting from 2 weeks after application deadline which is March 25th. Hopefully, 2 weeks after March 25th, we can expect to hear from them.
Best wishes to us all! Mine is for September fall this year, that's why I'm worried. |

Popoolabolu: HELP NEEDED
Here is my case. Applied for undergraduate admission in UofM for Fall 2021 and already given admission letter.
One issue is the fact that the ssce used is gotten in 2010.That makes the gap very alarming (for visa processing though).
Another issue is the proof of funding. Since I got the admission letter, i have actually been unable to get proof of funding and this is really not giving me joy.
Help is needed fellas I don't think visa officer cares about the age once the school that supposed to care about it grants you admission. |

Thaiy: You applied to MUN for postgraduate or undergraduate studies? On registering you get a student number immediately your application fee gets paid and submitted.
Application processing start count from after deadline date for course.....and take a couple of weeks (8 to 12 weeks) before final decision is reached.
So your application is 2 weeks old, when is the application deadline for the course you applied for? If it is not yet the deadline, your application will be processed after the deadline and you will be among the first few who will get early response if you submitted weeks before date for course closure.
Exercise patience as several of us are in same boat as you, let's watch and hope alive. Undergraduates program |

Thaiy: Hi, Undergraduate students are getting response. It's barely 8 week post deadline of my application, Sgs say I did get response between 8 to 12 weeks, plus it also depends on the faculty of interest and their deadline dates. I saw a post by Prada1 who applied for MA Economics, but was offered Graduate Diploma in Economics from Sgs. So responses to admission applicants are been worked on, be expectant.
All the best. Almost 2 weeks I applied can you explain to me what is going on ? |

Thaiy: Relax and be calm, there is nothing to worry about. Some schools now give students' number on applying while you wait the process for admission be completed. When did you apply, and what's the deadline for the course? Which school and course? What you should know is the application rule is should you apply early, you would most likely get an early response which would come weeks after deadline.
It will end in Praise JustMellow I applied a week plus, Manitoba and a MGT course for September. |

Frankrobbn1: There will be no issues with your bank account statement showing a gift deed from your parents. Its 100% legal for parents or close relatives to provide a gift deed in form of immovable assets or cash for any visa application to Canada. The visa officer are fully educated and aware of this, and such doesn't raise any concerns. My professional advice remains that your sponsor should be your parents not a third party for an undergraduate degree in Canada.

Frankrobbn1: Glad to hear you heeded to my advice and it worked for you. Trust me from my first-hand experience, your study permit application will be a success if you're able to cover every loopholes in the application that could raise the eyebrows of the visa officer.

Frankrobbn1: In view of the foregoing, you're required to provide a 4 months bank statement while your parents provide a month bank statement to show that the funds were originally transferred from their account. The notarised gift deed is the legal document to prove the provenance of the transaction.

Frankrobbn1: The current standard processing times according to IRCC website is 14weeks. This is not applicable in most cases as some applicants gets faster processing/decison within a month.
