okanla: Good they House, I would like to know if it is possible to change the principal sponsor, l had Appear twice and was denied first time has a my family wife and two kids which l was principal sponsor then.
Second time alone also denied, but is it possible for me next time to to change the sponsor of the trip to her since she is civil servant while i have my own business. Why would you want to put your wife as the principal sponsor, is her income more than yours? If you cannot convince the vo concerning your business and your income, your chances are slim. |

Yes. staying with your husband brother is a plus, because it gives your a reason to visit and also reduces your expenses and it does not jeopardies your chance as your ties back home is the main key to whether you will come back not because you have a close family there. I indicated we will be staying with my brother in US and the vo did not even ask any question about my brother and approved our visa |

Just amazes me the level of deception that a males are capable of sinking to.... Just unfortunate that females think so little of themselves to allow the mistreatment. Oh well...just my thoughts. Big mistake, what makes you think is only men that are capable of such deception? I know a lot of female that used men for their selfish purposes deceitfully |

Cc: Jnyuwa02 Sorry about the delay, the issue of your sponsor was a bit complicated, your tuition is already taken care of with the RA, you should have emphasized that and just add a letter of support from your mum that will take care of you accommodation and maintenance. It is normal for a mother to commit bulk of her gratuity to sponsor her child to study abroad. sometimes when things are complex and not very clear, they take it that their is no real sponsor. repackage immediately, thank God they did not hold on to your application for long. |

Prettylarmo026: Hello everyone.
I applied with my 2 childrenJanuary this year and we were refused. My husband got his visa last year, he postponed his trip cos i was preggy then. Vo- gm Me- gm sir vo-why are you going to the us me- for tourism Vo- have you travelled outside nigeria before now me-yes united kingdom vo-did you travel as a family me- yes, but my lil one hasn't arrived then, we travelled 2015 with my 1st child vo-oh your husband already has a visa me-yes vo-may i see the copy ( i gave it to him, checks his system and said oh it's recent!) Sorry apply next time.
What went wrong? My husband went on that trip alone, spent 12days as planned and came back. I applied again with my sons n our interview is next week, what are our chances? Myself n 2kids ll be Travelling with hubby for just 10days.
Note, my husband was recently promoted at work, so his income increased by over 100k (before on his ds his income was 214k, now 341k). How do i state his new income, i don't want them to think I'm lying cos of d diff with d one on his ds form as at d time he applied, though i have his promotion letter documents. I'm a business woman but i left d income part blank on my ds, hope dts not a problem since my husband is our sponsor and he's going with us. Urgent ans needed. Thanks. The VO gave you reason why your visa was denied. your husband got his US visa recently and has not traveled with it, the VO concluded you all were intended immigrant and you decided to apply separately to disguise it. Now that your husband has traveled you can wait till when he is renewing and apply together |

I don’t have a full transcript cos she’s rather upset but it went something like:
***********************
***********
This is very disappointing. I’m really gutted about how so many people have tricked and cheated the system over the years, and continue to do so, that now genuine and honest people keep getting falsely flagged. let her go on vacation to UAE and then try UK again, this will help her to establish her ties then she can then try the US again. All the best |

I guess I'm good to go with that.. I don't want any issues or headache...
cc@ LadyG, Seyewest, LagosNIV, AbujaNIV, OmoBendel24 and other prof in the house. Yes this is the right thing to do. fill single and state that you misrepresented before because you were in a domestic relationship and you called it marriage. @OP, did you win in any of the lotteries, If yes,it may be the issue, and anyway the age is an adventuring the age You would have conquered if you had gone with the whole family Better luck next time it does not seem okay for a married person with young family to go on vacation alone. if it is conference or job related travel, that is okay but not vacation. Go with your family on East African tour and apply together next year for US visa. |

feranmi84: @Brightingsus : @Tatpat @Ekpotek Thanks to you all. I must confess, I really appreciate!
In my previous application that was refused i chose No (I do not have family). Will you advice I stick to 'NO' in my next application?
My concern is that I had plans of staying in the hotel in my last application, but planning to stay with a cousin in the course of my next visit.
Must i give reasons for chosin to stay in the hotel in my previous application?
If 'Yes', Please, biko, ejó... help with what to say if you were in this situation. Thanks. Circumstances always change, the issue is to have a reasonable explanation. You know why you did not plan to stay with your cousin the first time, may you do not have your cousin contact back then but let your explanation be reasonable. Having family there is a big plus because it gives more valid reason to embark on the trip, to visit family, just tourist visit without family usually requires that you are more financially comfortable, also having a host over there reduce the financial cost of the trip and makes it reasonably within your earning power in the estimation of the ECO |

ekpotek: Every application is treated on its own merit. The OP has been denied a visa when she was unemployed. Trying to explained a backdated employment letter will only make matter worse. If she is now in employment, all she needs is an introduction letter from her employer backed up with payslips to reapply in 6 months time. One thing you must understand is she is not forging the documents, that is the actual situation, and so she should just explain how it is, furthermore, your application must always be consistent with your previous application, last application she was jobless now she has a job and no letter of employment, it is a red flag and can cause doubt in her application. The fact that she is truthful about her situation will actually be a plus. she is not stating that she started work earlier but that her employment letter was back dated. she should just explain why it was so. It will help her application to come out straight |

Solatium: And you think the explanation will be tenable? that backdating of a documents without another legal documents to back it up is criminal on it's own and if care is not taken it will earn her a ban.explanation is not enough in this matter expect there is a legal documents to it Yes the explanation will be tenable. When my wife applied for a renewal sometime ago she included a letter of promotion which was back dated to before her previous application, she stated that she did not include the promotion in the previous application because she had not received the promotion letter by then though the promotion had been in effect before then and her renewal was approved. |

Frustrating but no wahala dia refusal can't destroy. Na dem go give it back when dey are ready. I am convinced na all dis I just finish college guys be d VO zero experience can't check bk on previous records and see consistency d person see applications faint come dey do rubbish. Next turn france bizness and life must go on. I will be back sha oo coss no one don give me how I go yeye d VO yet Sorry about your visa refusal, the monthly income claim is too low for the closing balance in your account, a similar application like yours with closing balance of N3,500,000 also a director of his company had a monthly income of 850,000 and was given 5 years. Also the turn over is also a factor otherwise, it might look like lodgment just for the purpose of visa and that the money is not really yours Also you should have answered yes when asked any other sources of income and state how much your earn from these other sources, either investment or dividend. The ECO just believe your monthly take home does not justify your closing balance, but many times they don't consider this fact, it depend on the officer. Apply again and state other sources of income such as investment even if it is profit from your business and the annual amount. |
