Kimkalash:
Hi guys, sorry it took this long.

Did not do covid test. No one checked my luggage in Lagos. Just went to the Ethiopian airlines stand, gave them enrolment letter, admission letter, arrive can receipt photocopy and I checked in my luggage. Begged the checker to put me by the window for all flights up to Newfoundland, he did and i just tipped his something. Went to have breakfast and then dashed towards the boarding gate. As expected, na only pilot no tax me. Plane left around 2. We got to Addis Ababa around 9.
Getting out of the plane, we rushed to the boarding gate to get set for Dublin. Plane left around 11 and we got to Dublin about 8 hrs later I think. This was so so long. There was quite a delay at Dublin I think because of logistics but from Dublin to Toronto it took us about 7 hrs. The journey was long for me as my max before now used to be around 5 hrs.

We got to Toronto, waited for about 30 minutes in the plane, went straight to border services, filled a few forms, showed our arrive can, boarding pass and passport and then we were directed towards immigration. The guy just came to us, asked us for passport, tuition receipt/enrolment verification, declaration form and admission letter. 10 minutes later, he called me, gave me back my documents and issued my study permit and gave me a paper to direct me on how to get my social insurance number, then that was all.

Checked in my luggage going to Newfoundland. It was still past 11 and my flight was for 9:30 pm so i just followed my Nigerian friends going to Vancouver to their boarding gate, gisted and saw them off at past 2. Then it was only me. This was draining. I then began to tour the airport and met a South Sudanese woman with whom I discussed the state of our countries and neo-colonialism. She's a Canadian citizen so she enlightened me a whole lot and when she realized i didnt have cash cause I was complaining on phone that i was hungry, she gave me 20 U.S dollars but the mumu me went to Italian to buy ham, bacon and coke. I forcefully finished it o.

Went to my boarding gate 2 hrs prior and saw a white guy. Moved closer to him and started a conversation. He was speaking fast so my accent also had to change. We discussed Trump, liberalism, Canada's plan towards development and economic expansion, American and Chinese trade wars and the beauty of data analytics in Insurance. A few minutes to board, we parted and he got to the plane first as per him seat be like first class.

I later got on the plane but when the plane paced around the runway, i think it began to have issues so the captain said we'd return to the gate and do a system refresh on the plane. It delayed for two hours. I sha know say after like five minutes wey plane move up, i don sleep. Before I know, e don remain 8 minutes to land. Landing was thrilling cause the journey from Lagos was long. I got to the NFL border, took my luggage, approached the border official, submitted my passport, travel declaration form and my GT atm card for indentification. She spoke her English and then freed me. I met my greeter and he put me in the cab but failed to tell the porter i was coming cause he was attending to two others.

The cabman dropped me and I knocked and knocked but nobody came through. I was just on a shirt. I languished in the cold, shouted for help but no one came through. I saw a car pass by and slowly approached the car and an Asian lady listened to me, asked me to wait and she called her supervisor. I ran across the road for like five minutes to limit the effect of the cold and then she drove towards me and gave me a number to call but that was when the other two guys came and the porter came around. I went in, called the greeter, fuckling blast him and he apologized. I was then shown my room and I checked in for isolation. I am in quarantine.
A mix of experiences you see?
Thanks for this gist, quite informative. Have a prosperous experience in Canada

Abi oh, that "Only" must be an error cos someone on this platform used academic result and got approved.
It is not error, ielts general test is the one required for the Nigeria Student Express but they will also accept academic. Though the word 'only' seems to convey the notion that the academic will not be accepted but IRCC has said many times that they accept both though the required one is the general test.

Good evening Mr. Just mellow.

As you might know, I was rejected based on finance.

In my previous application, I submitted 11Million and i also paid $12K to the school which covered first semester.

I am battling with arranging my profile my profile currently as i intend reapplying in january.

My sponsor will be paying my full tuition by jan. Also, sponsor's account balance has dropped to about 4Million but it will probably get higher after full tuition payment and at the time of my reapplication. I have funds in my account worth over 4million but i submitted my employment letter which i got from my parent since i am with the family business. The letter has 50,000 as my monthly salary even though i am not being paid but i have investments with the business that generates me income.

Note that I left the investment out of my application in order not to complicate it. I also did not submit my account statement during my first application.

Question:

1. Should i draft a new employment letter stating that i earn 300k and above?

2. Can you suggest a neat way that i can include my personal account in my application without complicating my application?

3. Is there any suggestion for me?
Sorry about your previous refusal. You have to be careful with changes you make to your application now since you already had a previous application.

You can draft a new employment letter with salary of N300k but what matter more is that you bank history should reflect this from the month the new employment takes off. More so, you should submit one year bank history even if the new salary does not reflect more than couple of months as long as it reflect from the month of the employment start date. Also, include ielts with your next application to improve your chances and speed up your application

I was denied Visa this morning base on home ties and financial status. I want to order for my gcms notes, but I am not sure I will re-apply, since I am going there as fully funded.
Sorry for the refusal, You should have sent your one year mybankstatement together with the funding letter. The one year bank history helps to prove home ties. Don't give up especially with your funding offer. it is a good thing that you have your ielts, reapply immediately with your ielts and your one year mybankstatement with your funding letter. It does not matter that you do not have enough money for your study in your account as long as your account show regular income. Your one year bank history is to prove home. More so, get a reference letter from your current employer. I am sure you will get it next time and even get it fast.

Pls can anyone recommend a uni in Canada for PGD or Msc that would probably consider my grades. Thanks.
Evaluate your grade on WES. 4.5 of 7.0 is above 3.0/4.0 and you will meet minimum admission requirement of many schools in Canada

Hello

Please I need an answer or an advice to this question that’s bothering me seriously

I have 12M in my personal account . Sponsorship not exactly forthcoming

I am going for a program of 8.2M (MBA).

Should I submit this bank account along side my landed properties , shares and other investments

Or i shouldn’t till I find a sponsor??

Thank you all
Yes submit this bank account along side your landed properties and other assets. You don't need sponsor because you have enough money to cover the tuition and CAD10000 living expenses for one year. Having a sponsor will not really boost your application. What matter is the justification for the program because it is a big financial outlay but you are better off being self sponsor since it is just a year long program unless your sponsor is a close relative like a parent

Dear All,

Please i need sincere clarification and response
Sorry about this situation, it is a really big mistake to have asked her to come back to renew visa, as long as she is in status over there she has not need to renew visa unless she wants to travel out of the US and then it is always advised that you renew your visa before leaving the US to avoid this kind of situation.

International students insurance in the US normally cover pre exiting condition which include pregnancy and that is what should cover the bill, let your wife talk with her school insurance provider on the possibility of taking up the bill and reimbursing medicare.

Another problem was telling the vo you did not come with the medical invoice when you had non. You can reapply and clearly explain the situation especially the international students insurance that clearly cover such bill

Yes, if there is no LMIA and you are applying under FSW, you must provide POF because you do not have a qualifying job offer. LMIA also gives you 50 extra points.

If you are applying under CEC (which based on your posts you are not) then you do not have to provide proof of funds. In your case, you have to provide proof of funds. That your wife is working in Canada does not automatically mean she is exempt from POF.
She qualifies for CEC, she has one year Canada work experience unless her work is not is category A or B. She does not need proof of fund, she will definitely be invited to apply under CEC once she qualifies according to express entry order

Yes it was handled by London. Below is a screenshot of the corresponding letter

Will apply for GCMS notes today.
Sorry about the delay, it is really heartbreaking after the third attempt, I pray the Lord make a way for you.

Obviously the problem is with the financial support letter, the VO said it is not authentic and that is what you need to tackle. I think it is the reason why your application too so long because they had reservation concerning it and at the end of the day they feel it is not authentic.

Address this issue and reapply

For all others, provide proof of financial support to cover the

Copies of bank statements or bank book covering the past three months.
Any additional relevant documentation (employment letter, pay slips, proof of pension,
business registration, investments, etc.)
is your friend a Nigerian? Because CAN+ is not for all countries and I do not think it has been extended to Nigerian

This your "god" is a fantastic guy... he gave you your "god sent" in a matter of weeks. grin Congrats on filing for a green card through marriage - which was the whole point of this "prayer". cheesy

What puzzles me is that folks here then have the gall to speak ill of their leaders.
Twoods, I can guarantee you that if you are appointed into a political office today in Nigeria, you will also compromised. It is a rotten system and that is what you have failed to understand. Many of the people you are condemning here, if they get settled abroad will demonstrate high level of integrity. The situation is quite pathetic in Nigeria that it is hard to survive without compromising.

While you maintain your stand for integrity you also need to empathize with people. What most of these people are guilty of is that they are desperate to get out of this failed project called Nigeria so that they can live a more sane and decent life rather than stay here and lose their sanity altogether.

I know some who circumvent the law to get settled abroad but now they are professionals, doing good jobs and contributing greatly to the society.
TravelRe: Getting A Green Card By Adjustment Of Status: My Yankee Experience by Tarry(m): 12:27pm On Dec 11, 2017
TWoods:
Here is the fundamental disconnect you and I are having... you see the hunger and suffering, i do too. The problem is that you're seeing these problems in a vacuum but i am not. I see hunger and suffering as consequences of our own behavior. Behaviors such as his where no one cares for rules and we show zero concern for doing things right. The countries you are running to are not immune to suffering and hunger... they just learned to conquer those problems by exhibiting the behaviors that you think are of no concern to you.

THAT is the problem and until we solve it, you and i will simply pass on that legacy of hunger and suffering to the next generation.
Twoods, I understand your concern and I share the same to see a better Nigeria, but I think you are getting things the other way round. The situation in Nigeria is not a consequence of the behavior of the ordinary people rather the behavior of the ordinary people is a consequence of the situation in Nigeria.

You said you will NEVER come to Nigeria because of the level of insanity and you want some to remain here and go mad when they can practically do nothing to change the situation in the country even if they want to. It is the leaders that can fix the country and the righteousness of a few ordinary people will not change it rather they will become endangered species.

I see people engaging in unscrupulous activity and though I will never join them nor encourage them but I see them mostly as victim of the Nigeria situation. Not everyone will rather die than compromise. It unfortunate that Nigeria has turned many upright individual to law breakers. I know it is easy to blame them when one is not in their shoe but I have learned that he that wears the shoe know where it pinches.

Does it mean we embrace illegality, NO, but we must understand that the situation makes it very difficult for ordinary people in Nigeria to be upright unless we want to deceive ourselves.

I understand it is a vicious circle, the illegality will only worsen the situation and the bad situation will make people do more illegality

What do we do in this situation, I will rather tell people the value of uprightness than condemn them for illegality. I would not condemn but enlighten

Pls how do I get the form k-1, does he need to still send me letter of invitation?
he will have to first petitioned for you over there in the US and after the petition has been approve, he will be notified by mail after which you will apply for your visa. You will fill the normal non- immigrant visa form DS-160 and provide additional documents. However, you must plan to get married over there within 90 days.

I want to know if my new date of departure and the list of airline I can go with and that offer cheap flight and I won't have problem at the port of entry by questioning why the changes. Please someone should please enlighten me and be of help to give me accurate response to avoid problem at the port of entry.
No, there is no problem with change in departure date and flight, what matter is your purpose of visit and where you are going.

Good day, please I need your assistant. Am planning on traveling to the U S to meet my fiancée. But I have no clue on documents required. My fiancee is a U S citizens the only place I have traveled to is Ghana. From my findings I was told to i would need his data page of his passport, his tax clearance and letter of invitation too.

Pls advice me
what you need is a k-1 visa since you are going to meet your fiancée who is a US citizen. He has to first petitioned for you over there and then you will attend the interview here. You still have to convince the vo that the relationship is genuine and she must also have required fund to sponsor your application.

However, if you just want to go and visit with no plan to marry him over there immediately or within 90 days, then you will obtain a B1/B2 visa but that will be very difficult, you have to have strong ties here and you don't need his passport or tax clearance or letter of invitation.

I remember one applicant who stated how he drove himself to the embassy but he had to park his car somewhere in surulere due to traffic and had to give his last cash to the security guarding the place he parked his car with d hope that if he gets the visa, he would not mind trekking all the way back from the embassy, but the guy didn't get the visa eventually. You need to see the way the so called gurus crucified this guy say all him story no add up, simply because he didn't get the visa. Am sure if he got the visa Tori for change. Over sabi too much here abeg
I understand your point, yes the lady was really fortunate because at that point where she could not produced her old passport, her credibility really becomes questionable and if I were the VO, I will either outrightly deny her or reschedule the interview, but going beyond that you cannot deny that she really prepared for the interview and nailed it.

Concerning the gurus, I believe the duty here is to identified the factors that made those who obtained visa to get it and indentified why those who were denied missed it. You don't expect them to be identifying what those approved did wrong when they are already successful. Something worked for those approved and that is what they have to point out so others can learn and those denied something went wrong and they also tried to point it out. There is no bias or over sabi in any of this.
