I think you should sit down and access hoW you can salvage the 15 years you've invested in the warehouse job. I've heard of a couple of guys that have been in warehouse stuffz for a while but had to "up" their game by going for some logistics training, HSE, SAP and other stuffs thereby increasing their chances of upgrading themselves into better roles (supervisors) within the company or another with more income and a robust career so to speak.

Get your Cv refreshed, these can get you a better job even in UK considering you already have the papers or get you something doing in Nigeria before you eventually get a business to delve into.

I think self study is good buh you have to make do with GNS3 or packet tracer for your labs. I would strongly recommend you don't rely totally on dumps buh dumps can come few weeks to your exam.

buh on a serious note, the problem isn't about the number of years these planes have been in existence but lack of maintenance on the part of the airline operators.
It's good that Nigeria has a blanket age on the planes that can fly their airspace but a country as the US has no age restriction but enforces STRICT and MAXIMUM maintenance schedule, planes that were made in 1987 still flies the US airspace without any probs.....so lets emphasize on maintenance and not the age really..... I hope Arik and Air Nigeria maintains their "new" planes well tho.

IMHO, getting some few years work experience is the best option as this paves way for you in whichever country you intend to take your “further” studies.

As the case maybe, you would want to work when you get to any of these countries and most preferably you would want a job related to your field. A prior experience will serve as an added advantage considering how hard it is for foreign students to get a “professional” job. (UK) so while other students are looking for just any job to keep body and soul together you are actually out there to not only gain experience (career development) but also rake in some few quid.

Case in point: After 2 years work experience in Nigeria, a friend decided to go for his masters and was able to secure a job in his field which is more challenging, more responsibilities and all that stuffz. This is most importantly due to his previous work experience and the GOD factor . Combined with the certificate and some few years UK experience he is set to go back to Nigeria fully equipped as against his mates here who also came in for masters with no work experience.

I reckon his chances of securing a good job in back in Nigeria are soooooo high compared to his mates.

Sure they must be on jokes on this. That's the last thing they will do cos it amounts to abuse of rights as long as these kids cannot be tied to any criminal/financial offence. It's high time we start looking inwards to solve our problems rather than relying on the british govt. Whatever happened to the judge that "quashed" the "cases" brought against Ibori here in Nigeria?
