There only way out of this mess of light problem is
1) have a good gas master plan that would take gas to industrial Clusters... so that big companies can produce there own power supply
2) try to use all our resources in the hydro generation ( Brazil generated over 120000 mw from hydro why can't we get 20000 from ours)
3) the main power supply to the national grid should be based on coal fired plants this has the potential of giving us over 100000mw if well planned
4) a country as populated as ours on this small area of land must go nuclear.. .. We must build nuclear power plants to be able to generate 40% of our power out put, we have uranium and to get 10% to 15% enrichment required for the plant won't be hard.... we also have the brains, we have the Rivers
5) geothermal is also something I would advise but I honestly don't know our potential in this part.. .. for me I see it as the future

Hello sir, nice suggestions you gave up there but like seriously you think they don't know the way forward?? Yes, they know what to do but aliens and scavengers everywhere in the sector.

Try and visit egbin thermal station alone, you will see more than 4 steam and gas turbines idle with no maintenance. I once work @ a private power company just beside Egbin themal station and believe me the small company alone generates 400MW with just eight ( gas turbine engines and just 10 to 15 workers strength.

So they know the right thing to do but only want to keep embezzling millions of dollars for maintenance which won't be done at the end of the day.

I like your thinking but we should not adapt to situation that can be fixed by humans and government , that's the greatest hindrance of a Nigerian and the black race .... and our leaders have exploited it to the max ( they always say Nigerians or Africans are adaptable and because of this the elected leaders have out rightly refuse to do their constitutional duties because we will always adapt ) , why should I adapt to non-electricity when the Government has allotted billions of dollars to provide this services ? , we don't have to adapt to evil and bad situations that are fixable and within our capacity , .... I can adapt to weather and environmental condition but not to lack of the provision of basic amenities , it is evil to adapt to lack of basic needs especially when the means of provision is available--- it is does not make sense and it is not reality . My advice is if that unexpected occurs try and prepare to get use to it asap, the earlier the better.

In my own view if this is actually true, two (2) things will take place;

1. UK might result to less professionals on ground which will bring up higher demand from other countries thereby jerking up their pay for re-issuance of visa or re-validating the ones who already have theirs.

2. This policy will flush out some set of people who had nothing serious doing back in the UK in the past 5years.

Like seriously, thou that policy should have been for 10years migrant if they really want to be fair but those who are nigerians out there and fell under the policies net should start preparing, at least no place like home.

First, I will like to encourage the real business minded men and women all around the country for standing on their toes despite the challenges experienced in terms of Nigerian economy. The scarcity of dollars really made a lot of investors in the country to start having a rethink about going abroad to invest but rather investing in Nigeria

However, Its so painful the governor of lagos state fails to realize the millions of naira that is about to go off lagos state. Do you know the capital sales generated in mile-12 daily?? Up to the tune of N300million naira, now if lagos state can be generating 1% of that as IGR alone from that market daily that's N30million in a month.
I pray Gov. Amosun of Ogun State grabs this opportunity and take up the market currently opened @ kara community on lagos-ibadan expressway and open a world class shopping mail in Ogun state for Foodstuffs alone. He will generate crazy IGR for the state and I just hope he grabs this golden opportunity.

Finally, we all await the final resolution by the two (2) state as regards where the famous Mile-12 market will stand so that business can resume its full capacity.
