I'm sorry but this is a LIE. No consultant goes home with 1million. Even professors of Medicine don't. A professor of medicine earns the same salary as a professor of soil science. The only difference is the Professor of Medicine gets a small honorarium from the teaching hospital for job hazard and hospital allowances. Its that same Honorarium a consultant gets. A new consultant is at the level of Lecturer 1 and earns the same salary as the lecturer 1 in theatre arts only difference is d honorarium.

Also lagos state did not increase salaries by 75%. They only increased salary to be 75% of CONMESS. The salary grade before was 74% or so of CONMESS. So in effect, salaries increased by only 1%. Please get your facts straight guys and don't be deceived.

@OP, the yes easiest way is to go to mobile.blackberry.com and download the blackberry app world. Register then you can download free apps.

The blackberry app world even connects even if you don't have a BIS subscription.you just nEed tp do some settings. So yes, you can download apps on your BB without a BIS sub.

have you tried doing a hard reset? just remove your battery while the phone is still on n insert it back.

yee! I singled out BB because that is the only phone having issues with network. It is obvious that it flops every where but works fine with some mask/places. How do you expect one to be in one place just to be able to enjoy BIS or do you expect one to subscribe for all the network and carry 3sims and search for network that work each place one goes. That's rather a dump 'business idea'. Nigerian networks dont have issues connecting other smartphones. My phone just works fine with all the mask and i dont have to worry when i travel out of my home zone thereby doing my biz without any hiccup. The application failures is only for bb users not just an ignorance issue. Happy black day!

Many people using BB especially in Nigeria have not been using bb with ease. That is a known fact. Always Jumping from one network to the other,having problems with many of its applications,how do i set this and that,this ain't working,that still ain't working, Who wants that kind of stress. I dont think your e71 ever gave u problem.

Please forgive me but blaming the blackberry phone for network instability and user ignorance on appropriate use and settings on the bb is quite frankly a dumb thing to do. (No offense)

There are thousands of threads here of people complaining about network, apps and phone problems across all platforms. That you choose to single out the BB just shows you are being sentimental and dishonest.

Hi, the Zain stuff depends on your location. Zain is generally wack sha as of recent but there are certain locations where its okay.

Etisalat IMO, has the best EDGE network, even browsing on their GPRS is not bad. If your area has 3G, you should go for MTN coz they have Fast 3G.

The best thing you can do for yourself is if you want to switch to any network, just buy the 1 day BIS bundle and test it out before u commit your money for 1 month, it'll save you heartache.

As for tether, well, officially you cannot tether with etisalat.

No it can't. But Nimbuzz can work without subscription, so you can use that to chat

Go to the BB app world and search for facebook chat, there are free ones available there.

Double N:
The N2000 BIS stuff is not what it seems. Instead there is a package called Social Plan which cost N2000 per month but it only gives you access to BIM,Social Networking Sites,Yahoo messenger and the Likes. There is no browsing available and Email on this package. . The Second Package is called Email and IM Plan,this cost N2,500. This will give you access to BIM,Yahoo messenger,Email but no access to Social Networking Sites.
Very Poor and Lame packages if you ask me.

I disagree pls . 1 know at least 6 business people who have indicated interest in the Email and BIM only package. Not everybody is interested in social Networking. Even companies will move to this plan it will cut costs as they won't be paying unnecessarily for their employees facebooking n non-work related browsing they can now pay for only Emails.

Then for the Social plan, haba, this will be the hottest. Do you know how many people in this naija just carry a blackberry so they can facebook, tweet, IM and distribute pins? They particularly don't care about browsing as the will connect thru facebook for BB and that's all the browsing they do.

These are brilliant innovations from etisalat. Real forward and customer oriented thinking.

You don't even need a BIS to use apps like 2go, Nimbuzz, Bolt on a Blackberry as they are capable of connecting through low-level connections I.e TCP/IP settings.

Just go to your Options, look for the TCP/IP tab, it should be in your Options page or check Advanced options (depending on your model).

When you find it, select the boxes n Input the network parameters there
Eg, for Mtn put in APN- Web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net. Username-web, password - web.
