Good day everyone...my sister's EDD was on 11/03/16, she went for antenatal same day, Dr said she was going to be induced on tuesday 15th after which if that fails its CS, because of fear of CS she didnt go on that tuesday, and has not given birth, though my mum and other sis told her they do pass their EDD and even the extra 2weeks before delivery, is their anything to fear here? Or what to do.she is a FTM. Anticipating ur good advice

Pls counsel ur sister to work hand in hand wt her Dr to avoid stories dat touch. Usu we induce 10days after edd. If induction fails, cs s next option. D impt thing s for mother n baby to b alive. Pls tell her nt to b scared. She shld tell God wot she wants.

I don't think anything s wrong. I think wot u might b feeling s ur baby getting engaged as u re close to term . Pls cast fear away completely. Work hand in hand wt ur Dr. Ask him any and every questions. He shld guide u in choosing d most appropriate mode of delivery. it ll definitely end in praise!

For blood sugar, u don't assume. Go do a fasting blood sugar and b sure, if it s truly high, then u need to b managed properly cos raised blood sugar cld cause complications in pregnancy.

Please I just want to know, when does the tummy start showing. Am in my 14 weeks but my tummy Is still flat though a little tightness at the down section.

This is my first pregnancy and I used to have very flat tummy.

Congrats on all new mummies, Mother alive baby alive, father alive and plenty money on all.

Varies wt people. From 16wks or so. BT since u said u had flat tummy ab initio, it may nt show so early.

Gudmorning mama's, am 23 weeks gone(6months) but my tummy is not too big, at antenatal this week a frnd told me that my tummy is not big, I just laughed over it. But yesterday in class, one talkative in my department came to where I was sitting and made this comment. 'Ada, somebody said your Belle dey dry". people around justlaughed over it, and saw it as one of her jokes, but In my mind I was like God forbid, and at that moment my baby just kicked. my girlfriend now told her must you say every thing. I decided that I was going to confront her later and warn her, but I didn't, but I still plan on confronting her on Monday at school.

Should I confront her or not, what do you think? My girlfriend that is also a mother said I should let it be. But I have been thinking abt it since ysterday. I had a very flat tummy before pregnancy.

I don't agree o. I ll say eat healthy like any preggy woman. If u re nt on d big side, ur baby may not b dat big. Besides its even better, if they come out small(within d normal limit) and start growing big outside belle. Don't start bothering urself on wot to eat to mk baby fat.

@happymummy, it shld actually b on day 21, If u want accurate results. If this cycle isn't convenient for u, u may wait till ur mext cycle. All d best. May God answer u sooonest

Hello mama. U hv to keep an open mind. Baby may still turn, tho d likelihood s small, also likelihood of placenta moving up to is reduced since u re close to 36wks already, BT of course, anything can happen. However, if it doesn't happen and u re offered d option of cs, pls do not refuse as it ll b for ur good and dat of ur baby. Wish u d best!

i didnt really sit on hot water. the only day i sat on something very hot was the day my aunt said i should sit on a bucket with hot water and allow the steam touch me. but i didnt sit up to 2mins before jumping up cause the steam was too hot for me. i didnt try it again.

Ok. I don't kno if wot u re trying to say s dat ur vag. nal opening looks bigger to u or dat d place whr u were stitched appears to hv disintegrated. if its d latter, then u shld go to d hsptl to b properly checked

@tatacherie, if d FP method u re looking for s for a short tym, u can go for pills abi u dey fear drugs? There s also d implant. Then if u hv a regular cycle u can use d safe period, withdrawal too dey tho sm pple no like am BT it works for some

@tatacherie, d dropper gives an exact measurement of drugs for babies. For d syrup, each 5mls usu contains 125mg of pcm, so 2.5mls ll b 62.5mls. For f dropper, each 1ml contains 100mg of pcm. Wot to gv shld depend on baby's wt, but its usu said to gv 0.3mls to newborn

My daughter had cough earlier and the doc informed us that children under 2 are not given cough medications.
My BIL informed me that a nurse informed them that TUTOLIN can be used for children above 5months and they have paid the nurse for the syrup which they want to administer on my daughter.

Pls advise as I can't get an appointment with her paed till next week.

Forgive me if I sound she. BT ur Dr, told u cough meds aren't to b given to a baby and u come to newborn thread to seek wch cough med to gv ur baby? Tot u wld b educating oda mamas. Do u believe wot d nurse said and don't believe ur Dr? Its impt u hv confidence in ur Dr,

@nice501, so sorry abt ur broda. It will b nice if u post hospital receipts, investigation results etc so pple will kno its no scam. Also post how much is needed for d surgery and how much has bn raised so far.
