Super Mummy's I hail oo..Pls I hv a question, one of my friends has a one month plus baby girl, she initially wanted 2 o EBF but couldn't cos d baby ets a lot n crys a lot when hungry, so she started with formular yet she wasn't oky with d formular. They introduced watery pap to her with formular or it to sustain her for a while, but friend also adds glucose to the pap nd milk each time she wants to feed her, I was not comfortable with d glucose stuff, buh I want to research for her..Experienced Mothers should tell me if glucose solution is safe for a baby of less dan 2 months..Thanks

Pls and pls they shld stop d pap immediately. Pap at 1month?! I m yet to see dat baby dat isnt satisfied wt formular. Even d breast milk alone s enough, just dat she doesn't hv d strength to b breastfeeding on demand. BT saying formulae isn't enuf is false. She shld increase both d frequency and qty of feeds. Not every cry by a baby means hunger. Dats d only language they know so that s wot they use to communicate.

@odycute, don't worry, ur bump ll show. Some don't show till up to 17wks. U can register for antenatal nw o. Don't wait till u hv complaints. Register nw so dat baseline investigations ll b done. Abt d libido, pls even if u don't feel like it, oblige Oga once in a while o. And as much as u can avoid shouting at him because of kpekus o. Don't gv him room to start considering other means o. It s well wt all of us.
@senoreetah, pls as kaffy adviced, just increase frequency of cleaning d cord to 2-3hrly. Don't apply anything else. D spirit s OK. It ll fall off soon.

Since she s already on those routine drugs, I don't see any need for pregnacare. The routine drugs contain more iron dan pregnacare. I ll say, continue wt d routine drugs.

Happy Easter mamas! I ve really enjoyed d libido experiences. Nice one @ Kaffy. At least, I kno I m not alone. During preggy, me I noticed d thing reduced o. I was blaming it on dh, saying he doesn't stimulate me well, he s usu fast bla bla bla. Bt as I don born finish, d thing still no rise o. Meanwhile, his own has doubled eh, d guy can want d thing every minute. Well I still oblige him, but wt 2 kids plus house chores I m usu tired by d end of d day. Most tyms vigilante no dey gree me do am early morning either. I pray it improves sha, cos I kno na oil Wey go dey lubricate our marriage. I don't want to tempt dh to even think of getting it elsewhere.
For mamas experiencing d dryness, hv u tried lubricants like ky gel? Abeg mk una no wonjure urself o.

Biko nu, mamas don't self medicate o esp not whyl pregnant. GO to d hstpl to b properly examined and treated. Tetracycline is CONTRAINDICATED in pregnancy. Na God I tk dey beg una, for d sake of those unborn kids. Daalu.

My advice, don't use funbact A unless prescribed by a Dr. Rising raving powder s wot I use and it works well for me.

Had protein one plus in my urine during the last visit. Never knew it's something to worry about. Doc just sent me to do urine mcs. My BP is normal though. No swelling,got slight headache that resolved without para. Is he in line? I miss my old doc. Using the efficient but annoying mosquitos-ridden UPTH.

One plus of protein with normal bp and no leg swelling isn't a cause for alarm. Repeat it in ur next visit. I m sure ur Dr ll monitor u closely.

Please my wife is just about 5 weeks pregnant, she's been having malarial symptoms, all the prescribed drugs had instructions that they should be avoided in first trimester.

I'm really worried, can any experienced person help out? If untreated, will the malaria phase out? Waiting till 2nd trimester is really a long trip.

Help please.

Pls let her do a test to confirm its malaria cos pregnancy symptoms may appear as malaria symptoms. Then if its positive for malaria, she needs to b treated. There re safe drugs for first trimester. U can go to a good hospital for that. She wldn't need to register for antenatal for dat.Just tell d Dr she s pregnant and he ll kno wot to prescribe.Cheers.

EDD s calculated from first day of last normal menstrual period, not from day of ovulation

@hotmum, ur maybe s probably trying to adjust to d change in milk. U cld watch it for smtym.Its possible dat if he adjusts to d peak, d freq stooling will stop. Also children above one yr can tk any regular adult milk( don't know if u already know this).

@Imahaps, pcos can b seen via ultrasound scan, hormone imbalance via lab test. BT as iomoge said, u really need to relax. It may b a normal variation.

I went to my main hospital today around 9 o'clock with my dh (today wey im gree go) I waited for this doctor till 1 o'clock no show I started imagining what if it was an emergency? there where alot of complaint from people sitting around me waiting, na so I borrow sense commot from there.so I would like to try FIRST RIVERS HOSPITAL tomorrow.abeg who know about them?

Not possible o, at least as far as I know. U ll pay for antenatal even if its 1month to ur delivery.

for placenta previa wt cephalic presentation, vagi.nal delivery s possible. BT transverse lie even without d previa, cs it is. By d way how far gone are u, let's kno if baby still has chance to turn. Of course in medicine, never say never.
Just saw day u re more than 36wks gone. That makes chances of baby turning slim. As soonnest said, keep am open mind. CS may b ur best option. cheers.

@sayoddy, my advice is for I to head to d hsptl. Once u start draining liquor more dan 12-24hrs b4 lo comes, there s risk of ur baby being infected hence d need to b placed on antibiotics.Ur Dr wld usu check u and confirm its liquor and manage accordingly.
