If u have children,its advised to use icefish while making moimoi.
One lady said she will cut off icefish head and store in her freezer,then blend it with d beans together.
For omega 3 acid and some macro elements we can get from sea food.
I use mackerel,cayenne pepper, little oil,tomato onions and knorr cube.
I don't add crayfish.
A little nutmeg will do too.

I can only use crayfish if I'm preparing native moimoi ie,akwu water,enough crayfish and onions with pepper and seasoning.

wow, i ve never heard of dis mthod b4 o, ground ishi azu, nutmeg, no crayfish etc. And i didnt kno one cld use mmiri akwu for moinmoin. Thanks for sharing, we learn everyday.

@nefertitiram, several factors can cause d discrepancy, 1)error frm d dr(we re all humans)
2)big baby.
3)twins(u ve ruled dat out)
4)polyhydramnios(plenty amniotic fluid, scan wld hv pointed this out)
5)increased abdominal fat and possibly fibroid.
Bt i dont think u shld worry much. Eat healthy(nt for 2), and tk ur drugs.
@euphorbia. pcv is nt done routinely. It s done at first visit to hv a baseline, then after delivery(in govt hospitals). Bt if u re feeling dizzy and unusually weak, u may request for it.

hi dear, how s ur baby nw? How many times did he poo and was it always watery? Is he dehydrated(dry skin, tongue nt moist, d 'soft part of d head' sunken)?
Well to prepare ORS, get d one in satchet(shld b 50 naira or so), dilute it in 1litre of clean water and gv per loose stool. U need to get d measurement right. Note nt 75cl, but 1L. U can use 2 50cl bottles. Continue breastfeeding too and ensure his surroundings are clean. Hope this helps.

what condition are you talking about exactly? Have you really been to standard Nigerian hospital lately? Some of the hospitals are state of the art... But most Nigerian doctors just simply suck. Most goes into the profession for prestige and not exactly for passion. No research, nothing nothing... They can only handle small sickness like malaria... The surgeons are the suckest.. If Nigeria surgeon operates on 10 patients, there is probability that 5 would die.. Go to general hospitals and see something yourself.

the major problem s wt d system nt wt d drs. So u went to those state of d heart hsptls and didnt receive good care. U pple shld just stop generalising.As sm1 pointed out there re bad eggs yes, as there re all ova d world and in oda professions. So nigerians don finish na. smh

Biko all dese hatefl comments abt d nig dr are nt necessary. The system s bad, yess, bt drs in nig re trying. I dont think u ll b able to practise in d condition under wch dese drs practise.

It will this time. make sure salt is the last thing you add before tying it because once you add salt it starts to ferment. Enough water to make it soft....guess you know the right quantity of water to use. It will come out nice I'm sure.

I couldn't go buy leaves so I decided to go for ogbono soup and wheat. Moimoi will be tomorrow.

I would say onions and crayfish. Surly you have to put your pepper to catch and also depending on how much you eat pepper but plentyyyyyy onions and caryfish brings out your moimoi taste. When you have much crayfish you sometimes won't even need to add Maggi to it again. My dear onions and crayfish and you will feel like eating your plate along with your moimoi.

This is my own opinion, just wait, others will come tell you theirs too.

I am so happy to share here that after a long long struggle, facing so much trouble in the family, i have conceived twins. my struggle was for 8 long years. I pray to God that no women in this world should undergo this pain. Everything seemed to be normal but somehow I was not able to conceive. I got lost and i decided that I take a long break away from lagos.

I traveled to India and pursued a 1 year course in AMET university in Chennai. During this period something said if i tried now, i will conceive. Keeping my fingers crossed I tried one last ivf and God answered my prayers. I am carrying twins now and you guys dont know how happy i feel. I just made up my mind and thought god is just testing me and sure he will bless me with a child. Now i realise my struggle came with a surprise gift. I dunno if i will have a boy and a girl or 2 girls or 2 boys..ahh i waiting to hold them soon.

I should thank dr.samundi sankari and dr divsivaraman at srushti so so so so much for all the support they gave me. I surrendered myself to them and they did the miracle. I had endmetriosis which was the main reason for me not getting pregnant. I had it removed and had an IVF. Anyways ladies,remember that it is not bad at times to wait cos you will definitely be blessed! i wish everyone good luck and will pray to god that all your prayers should be answered soon.

milk is safe in pregnancy. Wen did u see ur period last? If u re nt sure, u can do a scan to date ur pregnancy
