Jesus Christ, you reduce tearing children to pieces over childlike jokes to a question of what age is okay for anyone to die since we will all die?

Where is your moral compass, where is your conscience?

Really? Mauling kids to death for cracking jokes as kids will do?
According to people like you, if a Christian loses his child, let's even assume that the child never mocked God, he would be right to hate and curse God?
Is this your understanding of morality?
Just tell us the age people should start dying if you were God

Where is your moral compass, where is your conscience?

Really? Mauling kids to death for cracking jokes as kids will do?
Again, your point is that children are not allowed to die?
So basically you want to make God guilty of the death of every child especially if you don't like the circumstances of their death?

Are you just trying to force an argument?

As we speak today, maybe a million kids died, most of them didn't even mock a prophet, why should I hate God for that. The giver of life is the only one free to take life without being questioned.

Don't you realise the foolishness of what you are doing?
I loan you a car at no interest and tell you that I can take it at any time.
Then you question my morality for taking it at a time you were not ready to return it. Make it make sense.
God has every moral reason to take any life. It's you and I who didn't create life that do not have the moral backing to do so.
Again, respect others religion, don't use the name of their God in vain. How simple can that be? Learn to be decent.

This is what I don't like. A perfectly legitimate question, you want to wave it off, even saying it is low. For goodness sake how is it low?
Besides you should understand that the overall context is the fact that such harsh acts of barbarism appear to be littered all over the Old Testament. It speaks to an overall character trajectory of the OT God which is appalling. TV01, BASILICO, any explanation?

These were children for goodness sake, and recall that the same God commissions the mass murder of infants, children and women in other verses.

Your point here is, if a child dies, God is barbaric right?
So if you are God, from what age will you allow your creations to die?
Your argument here is that God taking a life He created at an age you don't approve of is Barbaric so, I want know what age do you approve.

Why I called your question low is because there could a thousand good reasons why God did it but we don't know.
If you want me to use my imagination, I could invent 10 wonderful reasons but can we be arguing about God's unrevealed intentions?

Tctrills can you justify the incident where Elisha's bald head is mocked by children and two bears are summoned to tear them to pieces. Forty two children slaughtered
Haba, this is low, my job is not to justify every incident in the bible that happened over the span of 3000 years.
Could this have been a case of Elisha misusing his power as Moses did, and Moses was punished for it?
Or was the Lord trying to teach a greater lesson?
There could be a thousand explanations for this. I am sure that the duty of a Christian is not to have an explanation for every incident in the bible.
But then, can you recall that you once listed the religions you prefer and those you detest? Islam and Christianity were among those you detest. Can you please give me the list again? I have a very interesting and insightful response for you.

Probably you didn't see the part where I used the word or phrase 'some' or 'in this context'. You just want to attack because you have access to data. I repeat again, 'in this context'. If you feel the usage of the word 'poverty' is not suitable you can probably suggest another word or replacement without sounding aggressive or arrogant.
You already provided the word modesty. Words have meanings. It can be very misleading and even dishonest to change the meaning of a word to fit your context.
There is no honest context where modesty becomes poverty.

There're some Rev. Sisters who are rich. In this context, poverty means modesty. In other words, the goal is not for you to be wealthy but to use whatever that God has bless you with (knowledge, skill or position) to serve Him.
You could have just called it a vow of modesty instead of misleading people and calling it poverty.
Poverty is not synonymous to modesty.

Iran is a treat to the entire world. Blocking the strait of Hormuz is making you poorer.
How can't you see that this is a good thing for you and your children.

China needs the strait open much more than the US. They consume 35% of oil that passes through there so arming Iran to block the strait is not even good for their economy.

So you can see your poverty now. 🤣
So collecting gifts of high value doesn't break your vow.
Let's go back to the reverend sisters definition of poverty.

renunciation as a member of a religious order of the right as an individual to own property.

Clearly the vow means nothing but some buzz words.
I guess a pastor gifted a private jet can also claim to be poor

True happiness comes from God , are you a Christian you haven't answer me. Your knowledge is based on worldly things about life and happiness. Ecclesiasties 7 vs 1 says, the day you die is better than the day you are born. And still that 7 vs 4 says A person who always think about happiness is a fool a wise person think about death ☠️💀.

I know you care more about happiness than death ☠️💀, don't be scare😨😳 of death ☠️, what you need to be scare of is sin not death. The world of the dead exist, is not an evil place to be.

Is good to think about happiness , but don't always think about happiness. Think about death ☠️☠️ too.
If you as a Christian sees your life as worthless and sad then you are in the wrong place.
I agree with you that death isn't evil but neither is life, life is a great gift.
That your life is messed up isn't enough reason to detest the gift of life.

Depending on the religious congregation. Keep in mind that not all orders have vow of poverty.

Also, you may not have full details of actual ownership. Vehicle may belong to the church or the religious congregation. In addition, some of these nuns are from rich background. If the superior permits, a car gift from family may be accepted for community use.

The details and facts is often the missing link when things don't add up.
So, some sisters may own cars and others may not right?
How about things like designer handbags?

If a nun who is part of a congregation requiring a vow of poverty acquires personal property for exclusive use them that's a violation of her vow.
Even Jesus had a Judas when he assembled his team.

Most modern reverend sisters definitely abide by this vow. Though negative news is more attractive to people.

However, to be open-minded, I don't know where you live so cultural influence might be a factor but it's not the norm everywhere. I have lived in 3 different continents and that's my observation.
So the reverend sisters that own cars have broken their vow right?

High intelligent 🧠🤓 person has deeper reason beyond worldly things.
First, I disagree with you. You are not qualified to decide how high intelligent people think.
I happen to know many high intelligent people who have contributed greatly to civilization that have an entirely worldly view of human existence. I also know others who see life from a more than worldly experience.

But no matter your view, it is intelligent to appreciate and make the best of human experience than live in regret like you have chosen.

Yes but not the only definition. A simple look at a dictionary would help.
You are right, let me look at the dictionary.

Poverty is defined by more than just a lack of money; it is categorized by the severity and the standard of living relative to a specific society.

Poverty is the state of lacking sufficient money, resources, or material comforts to meet basic needs, including food, clean water, shelter, and clothing. It extends beyond mere financial scarcity to include limited access to education, healthcare, and social participation. Common synonyms include destitution, indigence, penury, and want.

Poverty in this context is not restricted to economic state. A vital component of research and knowledge is an open mind. Don't force your quest for knowledge into a pre-defined box.

In the Catholic Church, for those in the Religious Orders, they take eligious vows in the form of the three evangelical vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience.
I have no problem with the chastity and obedience but the poverty vow, that's a bit dishonest since like you say, it has nothing to do with actual poverty.

You points are valid and I respect everyone of them. But I would prefer I live in a world where there's no suffering and pain. The essence of the life you preferred was because Adam fell short of the glory of God. Now man have to live in a perpetual state of hard work just to find comfort (financial stability, Stable family, rise to the peak of our chosen fields) just to die at the end of all the struggles. we now live to die after all our accomplishments. Death of Jesus was however a plan B from God to save Man from condemnation which Adam brought upon us. I would prefer God's initial plan, which is to live forever.
Well, we are different. I prefer the life of hard work and growth.
I have no problem with death since it is only a temporal rest.
Lastly, Jesus Christ was the original plan not plan B.
1 Peter 1:19-20
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Vows of poverty is not personally acquiring properties, sharing with others from a common purse.

My elder sister is a Rev.Sister, she earns big in the US working in a top medical facility, the salary is not wholly hers and very huge chunk goes into the purse of her Religious Order and still ensuring she lives comfortably.
So it should be called something else not vows of poverty. No need to confuse the public.

In the Catholic Church, Reverend Sisters (women in consecrated religious life) serve through a combination of spiritual commitment, community life, and practical service. Their roles vary depending on the charism of their religious order, but generally include the following:

1. Prayer and Spiritual Service
Prayer is central to their vocation. Many sisters commit to daily prayer, communal worship, and personal meditation. Through intercession and spiritual guidance, they support the faith and wellbeing of individuals and communities.

2. Education
A large number of sisters work in schools as teachers, head teachers, or education administrators. They help shape moral, intellectual, and spiritual development in children and youths, especially in mission and underserved areas.

3. Health Care
Many sisters serve in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centres as nurses, counsellors, administrators, or caregivers. Their work includes caring for the sick, the elderly, and vulnerable populations, often in areas with limited healthcare resources.

4. Social and Humanitarian Work
Reverend Sisters often support vulnerable groups such as orphans, widows, refugees, victims of violence, and people experiencing poverty. They may run orphanages, shelters, feeding programmes, skills-training centres, and advocacy programmes for justice and human dignity.

5. Pastoral and Evangelisation Work
They assist in parish life through catechesis, sacramental preparation, youth ministry, family counselling, and organising church activities. In rural or mission communities, sisters sometimes take on key pastoral responsibilities when priests are not regularly available.

6. Administration and Leadership
Within their congregations, sisters take on leadership roles such as community superior, principal of schools, hospital administrator, or director of social service centres. They also participate in decision-making processes in dioceses and religious institutions.

7. Living the Vows
Reverend Sisters publicly commit to the evangelical vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. These vows guide their lifestyle and decisions, reflecting a life dedicated to service rather than personal accumulation.

In summary, Reverend Sisters serve as educators, caregivers, social workers, spiritual guides, and community builders, contributing significantly to church life and society at large.

The above was generated using AI
You can do all these without being a reverend sister. Lastly, why take vows of poverty? Is that even of God?

It was the greatest choice ever. Just look back at how far we have come. Look at the progression and civilization of the human family. Do we have challenges? Yes but we continue to progress and get better.
If I am asked to choose a hundred times over, I will choice knowledge over being naked and ignorant in a garden.
I will choose a meaningful life than an aimless life eating fruits in a garden. I will choose the challenges of life because they come with growth and progress instead of a life where I can't grow because there is nothing to overcome.
And lastly, I will choose Jesus Christ to give me salvation than remaining in the garden with Adam.

The Dead are better than the living, why because the day you die is better than the day you are born. There's no meaningful sense to life in a world born by madness. If anyone has a logical way to make me understand the meaning of life l will be very grateful.

However, I strongly believe that no one can tell or explain the meaning of life, only the all knowing God can tell me the meaning of life.

I wish I was never born, to be honest the way God creates things according to plan doesn't make sense. Could you believe he was responsible for the existence of evil.

Isaiah 45vs 7 l created the light and l formed the darkness, l created good and evil, l the lord do all this things. The garden of Eden he's responsible for creating the tree 🌲 of knowledge that represents Good and Evil.

So guys you see, God is among the reason why there's suffering in this world. And please don't lecture me about free will, there's no free will l did not ask to be born.

For those of you who claim that God gave us free will, it is not My wish to come into this world. It God's will not mine.
You sound like someone about to unalive himself. Please get help. Life is a gift. And you can find value in your life.
I beg you to ask for help and you will be found.
