seunmsg: Nigeria should be very worried. This is no longer looking good. Over 20million barrels of crude oil passes through that strait daily. Oil prices have soared in response. If this continues, crude oil will go out of reach and global economy will collapse. The price of PMS will go over N1000 very soon in Nigeria. Not likely, petroleum prices will go up which should be good news for Nigeria but we know that Nigeria is not a normal country so let's not count on that The west might be forced to remove embargo on Russian oil. Other countries like Canada and Venezuela would have to increase production. This should be the biggest oil windfall for Nigeria in recent history. Let's hope we don't waste it. |

And I will like to understand your justification for a sovereign country to change regime in another sovereign country Do you know the first thing the Iranian supreme leader did when he came to power? He kidnapped the entire members of the US embassy for over 400 days. That alone is an act of war. In US war with Iraq, his government sponsored many groups that killed US soldiers. Then he continues to fund terror. Let's not talk about the enrichment or uranium. If you are the president of US, you will have to be foolish to allow this man continue to exist. MT: You should ask yourself why Iran supports Hezbollah, Hamas and Yemenis,
Somebody's hero is another person's villain
It is a form of leverage to see allies fighting alongside them when fight comes, just like the US and israel leverage on nuclear weapons.
Do you see anything bad in Israel possessing nuclear weapon? Be fair in your judgement instead of supporting the destruction of another country. Iran can't be destroyed, the govt can be changed but the same fate that bedevils Iraq and Libya will be their portion - hotbed of terrorism
Do not just accept the narratives of the westerners. Have you asked yourself why the UK distance themselves from this military adventurism.
It is not fair and just. After all you have written, your point is that Israel and the US should not wage war on Iran bah? I disagree with the West many things, for example, gay marriage but when it comes to fighting Iran, I completely agree with the US and Israel |

The human head is big no doubt but painless labour is a possibility. The question remain, when did labour pains begin? Was it before or after the curse. Your argument is that it began before the curse and I am hoping that you can prove it showing timelines. Your topics states Childbirth Pain: Nature, Not A Curse What if it is both? How do I mean? If there is a God, then He is the God or the creator of nature. I just want you to show how you came to know that the first woman was not cursed to have pains at childbirth. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Childbirth Pain: Nature, Not A Curse by tctrills: 10:28pm On Feb 26 |
Lojical1: Yes. Childbirth pain is explained by two main factors:
1. Humans walk upright, which narrows the pelvis. 2. Humans have large brains, which means large baby heads. This 2 combination makes birth mechanically difficult.
Key research: ¶ Rosenberg and Trevathan, “The Evolution of Human Birth,” Scientific American, 2002.
¶Dunsworth et al., Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2012.
Fossils show early human already had pelvic structures consistent with difficult labor aeons ago, that predates the Genesis story by a very long time. So pain in childbirth is anatomical, not moral Sir you realize that you did not provide links to the resources you mentioned. Again do these resources show or state the date God cursed the woman. with the pain of labour? How did the above researchers figure out the day God cursed. If you are saying that labour pain predates Moses receiving the revelation in Genesis, that's one thing but it seems you are saying something else. Please the papers you mentioned, do they indicate the timeline of the curse so we can compare with the science of labour pains. Also, I did some research and I would love you to explain these. In a survey from France in 2021, about 25 % of women reported feeling no pain at the moment the baby’s head emerged, even without pain medication. This is a specific phase of labour, not the whole process. In broader statistics (e.g., Australia 2020 data), about 20.5 % of women did not use any pain relief during labour — but not using pain relief doesn’t mean they felt no pain. Many still experienced pain, just without analgesia Most studies on childbirth pain show that the overwhelming majority of women do feel significant pain at some point during labour unless effective pain relief (like epidural anesthesia) is used. One medical overview suggests that in places like France, about 98 % of women report moderate to severe pain during delivery. What this means Truly painless labour without any medical anesthesia is relatively uncommon. Estimates of women who feel no pain at all at any point during childbirth (without analgesia) are likely well below 25 % and often much lower when considering the entire labor process, not just one moment. Some women may experience reduced pain or very manageable sensations due to rapid labor, high pain tolerance, or physiological differences, but these cases are not the norm. |

fineboynl: would the US give out their data to another country?
That's national risk. The Zim has already pulled out. China is not using esim technology because they are not the ones that developed it. Until they develop their own esim technology.
Any country using esim is using us tech. No, the US will never do that because you can't pay them enough, but for a poor African country, treating HIV may be far more important than maintaining privacy. Health could easily be a bigger national risk than privacy, and if they can't afford health, trading their privacy for it may be a difficult but wise choice. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Zimbabwe Pulls Out Of US Health Aid Talks by tctrills: 10:27am On Feb 26 |
fineboynl: Umm. Why the us need the datas of people living in Zimbabwe? What is about zims that they want to spy on? It is simple, you either choose privacy or financial aid. You can't have both. Zimbabwe chose privacy. I have no problem with them or the US. Also, remember, each time you choose to use Facebook, X, Instagram, or TikTok, you are trading privacy for entertainment, communication, or business. So these decisions are not only made on a national level, but we also make them on individual levels. |

God1000: Kudos to Zimbabwe
Africa doesn't need aid. We need equal partnership and alliances that are mutually beneficial. It is too early to start praising Zimbabwe. Let us watch and see. I only hope that in years to come, we will not start blaming the US for a health crisis in Zimbabwe. Let us remember that it was their choice. And I agree with you, Africa doesn't need aid, but let's be honest, we can't demand equal partnership if we are not equal. In what world is a 30 trillion economy equal to a 52.3 billion economy? Again, I agree with you, there has to be mutually benefit and if the leaders of zimbabwe did not see any benefit in taking hundreds of millions from the US, they are free to reject it. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Childbirth Pain: Nature, Not A Curse by tctrills: 9:21am On Feb 26 |
Lojical1: For thousands of years, people have told women: “Childbirth is painful because of Eve’s sin.” The Bible says it. The story of Eden says it. But here’s the truth: it’s a myth. A story meant to explain something humans didn’t understand.
Pain in childbirth isn’t punishment. It’s biology.
Humans have big brains. Our babies’ heads are huge compared to our pelvis. Our pelvis is narrow to help us walk upright. The result? Labor is physically tough. Pain is inevitable. Every contraction, every strain, every scream., that is your body navigating a tight passage.
Animals feel pain during birth too. Cows, horses, lions, primates, they all experience it. If we say it is because of the curse on eve, does it mean that the animals also ate the forbidden fruit?
Pain is universal, not selective. It’s not about sin. It’s about survival. Pain triggers the body to release hormones, coordinate contractions, bond with the baby, and alert others for help. Pain saves lives.
The Eden story says women were cursed after eating a fruit. But research shows that painful labor existed long before any story of Eve. Upright posture, large heads, small birth canals, these are facts, not fables. There’s no “pre-Eden painless childbirth.” There’s only biology.
Understanding this changes everything: pain is natural. It’s functional. And we no longer have to attach guilt or moral judgment to it. Modern medicine exists not to “erase sin,” but to make birth safer and less excruciating.
Childbirth pain isn’t a curse. It’s the cost of being human. The Eden story is a myth. The truth? Biology made you strong, not guilty. I love your write-up but I would love you to throw more light on something you wrote. These were your words. But research shows that painful labor existed long before any story of Eve.Please, can you provide links to the research papers? Thanks |

The point is that Jews are safe in Arab land and any Arab Jew that return there have nothing to fear. The idea that they have anything to fear is unfounded. The reality that Arab Jews prefer Israel is also understandable. This is a point blank like and I have asked you to provide evidence which you can't. You said your evidence is that a few Jews still live in Arab land, then I reminded you that 50x more Arabs live in Israel so that evidence is meaningless. You are saying that if I chase you from your community at gun point, you would have nothing to fear coming back? And your fears would be waved away as unfounded? That's very wicked. I personally wouldn't trust or want to live amongst people who threw me out and took all I have unless I have very strong assurances that they have changed.
Palestinians say they want their land back while extremist Jews are trying to drive them off the remaining land they are still occupying. Why leave the Jews and blame only the Palestinians when everybody is just trying to get more? The Jews position is not extreme, in fact, it is very rational. Let me explain it. 1. The Arabs had a chance to have half of the land, the wanted the whole and went to war, they lost. Still, they had Gaza and the West Bank, again in 1963, they went to war and lost. War have consequences. You don't go to war to claim land, loss the war and expect not to loss some of your land. 2. 800k to 900k Jews were kick out from Arab land and about 700k Arabs were kicked out of Israel. This alone settles everything. The Jews took in their refugees and gave them a better life, let the Arabs do the same. Remember, Arab land is almost 100x bigger than Israel so there is more than enough space.
Gaza is not an immigrant worker destination country that people do anything to enter. Countries that are far better off are not even that. Gaza before the destruction was only struggling If you claim that Gaza before October 7th was struggling I wouldn't fault you. But relative to Nigeria, it was heaven. In fact, let me give you another stat. Before October 7th, less Palestinians died from the Israel/ Palestine conflict (1948-2023) than the number of Nigerians killed in the islamic conflicts since 2007. So if they are struggling, what would you say about Nigeria? |
